Fell in love soon after, and knew the world was theirs, until it all came crashing down.

Mason just smiled at Sandra's words, a smile he hadn't been able to do since the day he left her. "Hello Isabelle. I'm your father. Though hopefully soon we'll be able to have a more suitable introduction," he stated before turning his words over to Sandra. "I have to go, have a lot of work to do. Would it be alright if I sent someone over to pick the two of you up and bring you here for dinner tonight. Of course nothing more than that," he stated into the phone.
Sandra couldn't help the smile as she heard Mason talking to their daughter. She put it back up to her ear when he starting speaking to her again. "Mhm.. That'd be swell, love. Toodles." She chuckled, and hung up the phone, as Isabelle was getting fussy.
When the car arrived, Isabelle was in a car seat that Sandra held, and then kept it close to her as they walked up to Mason's luxurious house, compared to the loft Sandra was raising Isabelle in.

Mason had been taking care of a few last minute things when Sandra and Isabelle had arrived. "Could you let my company know that I'll be out in a couple minutes. I need to finish this call, shouldn't take too long," he stated to his butler before returning to the call.
The butler made his way into the living room, meeting up with Sandra and Isabelle before speaking, "Feel free to make yourself comfortable. Mr. Court is finishing up a phone call, he said it shouldn't take any longer than a couple minutes," he said before returning to setting the table for the meal the three of them would be having.
Sandra wore a red dress, her favourite one with a black jacket over it, and had Isabelle in the car seat, in a simple onesie. She nodded to the butler smiling as he spoke. "That's fine, of course." She swallowed as he left, and she set the car seat on the sofa, before moving to look around the room. She stopped as she had a book, with the tip of her finger, pulled out, and noticed her dashing ex-fiance standing there.
Sandra blushed, and let go of the book, letting it fall back into it's place. "I didn't think you'd keep that.." She said referring to the book, as it had been a book of poems she'd composed for none other than him.

Mason sighed as he finally hung up the phone and trekked out into the living room, finding Sandra in a beautiful red dress. He smiled a bit as he stepped over to her. "Glad you could make it," he stated before glancing over at Isabelle, finding she was asleep in the carseat. "You look beautiful by the way," he stated as he returned his attention over towards Sandra.
He began making his way over towards the dining room, "Follow me," he stated as he stopped, just in front of the dining room, waiting on her to grab Isabelle and for her to follow behind.
She frowned slightly as he refused to acknowledge what she'd said, but she understood. Why would he want to talk about the past, with the woman who'd ruined it for him? She let out a small sigh as he complimented her, and nodded graciously. "Thank you. Don't mind if I do." She grabbed the car seat, her arm looping through it, and holding it with both of her arms.
As they walked in the dining room, she couldn't help the fact she stopped, and just took in the high ceiling. The room itself was cleaner than she'd ever remembered anything of Mason's, and she bit her lip at the sad truth before her. Mason had moved on. There was nothing more clear in her mind, than that of the woman that stood before her, a lanky arm around Mason's waist. Sandra didn't think she hid her emotions well, and looked away at a painting as Mason looked up.
This was the girl Mason told her about? She didn't seem like much at all. That baby wasn't the most adorable, and Lillith just smiled. "You must be Sandra. I'm Lillith, but please, call me Lily." She smiled her most fake smile, and winced as Sandra's eyes couldn't seem to stay off of her recent husband. "Why don't you have a seat?" She politely offered, even offering a separate chair for the car seat for that hideous thing. Honestly, Lillith didn't exactly want kids, but if they came so be it. They have Nannies for that.
"Mason, dearest, come help me with the wine, won't you?" Before Sandra had a chance to speak up and say she preferred water, Lily was already squeezing his arm. "You didn't tell me about her baby. How.." She paused, then a crooked grin appeared on her face. "How adorable the thing is."

Mason sighed as he noticed the encounter between his ex and his wife. He had a feeling it was going to be awkward and filled with tension, but nothing like this. When Lily pulled him off to the kitchen to get some wine, he knew he would have to explain a couple things to her. The male sighed as he glanced up at his wife, "Play nice tonight. Sandra is the mother of my child. I hadn't even known she was mine until just yesterday. I want Isabelle in my life so that means I need to be civil with Sandra. Please, just do this one thing for me. You know I don't ask you very much," he whispered to her as she poured the wine into the three glasses.
Sandra couldn't help her silent tears as the couple seemed to be absent for the longest time. As she heard them returning, she leaned forward, and acted as if she was situating Isabelle. She felt so out of place sitting in that fancy chair, thinking her ex hadn't moved on. Of course he bloody had. Even gotten married? Damn, he was really screwed up now, wasn't he? She didn't think she had much emotional control over him, but this whole scenario seemed off, unless he had been cheating on her, and she didn't want to even start down that thinking path.
When Lily spoke to her, she snapped her eyes up to meet Lily's unbreakable gaze on her, and she felt chill bumps rise on her skin. She swallowed, and then told Lily she everything she knew Mason knew. She loved kids and pets, her favourite color was green, and Isabelle was named after her own mother. After a two hour investigation, Lily seemed to hold back, and disappeared from the dining room, leaving her and Mason alone.
Sandra's eyes were huge, and she looked at her hands, the ring he'd given her was still on her left hand. She regretted the day she'd sold it. But now.. things didn't look so 'horrible' for poor little Mason. Sandra, after a few moments of silence cleared her throat, refusing eye contact with the pathetic image of a man in front of her. She stood abruptly, and grabbed the car seat still carrying the only love of her life. "Mason.. I.." She started off as an independent woman, strong and about to give him a piece of her mind, but, she ended like a small school girl. "I.." Her cheeks turned a rosy red, and she looked down, breaking her gaze on him. She just simply turned, and exited the dining room, and from her memory, found herself out of the house.
Lily's lips pursed into a seductive smile as she felt her husband's hovering presence over her, and his breath tickling her ear. It sent a chill down her spine, and even if she had just married the man for his money, she was attracted to him. "I know you don't.. but please, remember who you sleep with at night." Her eyes were big, as she looked in his, and she was balancing the three glasses in her hands. As she handed over his, she couldn't help the offer of a kiss, and leaned up, fiercely claiming her territory in that kitchen, tugging at his lower lip as she pulled away.
"You owe me tonight." Her words were silent, as they traveled in his ear, and she turned on her heel, going and placing the glass on the table in front of Sandra. "So, tell me about yourself?" Lily asked, and the next two hours were the most drawn out she'd ever experienced.
After some awkwardness, Lily rolled her eyes. "Come to bed after you finish, baby." She hushed in his ear, and her heels clicked as she went up the stairs to their bedroom.

Mason just sighed as he stepped out of the kitchen, knowing that this situation laid out before him was completely difficult for him to be in. But it would have to work. It may not be very easy to do but it had to work. He wanted to be in Isabelle's life, give her the father that she deserved, even if it meant dealing with the awkwardness between Lily and Sandra. Isabelle was worth all of that and he only hoped Sandra felt the same.
When they stepped back out into the dining room, he sat down at the table and began eating as he just sat there listening to Lily grilling Sandra on every itty bitty fact about her. He was hardly able to get a single word in all night. Though once the dinner was over, Lily trekked off upstairs for bed.
Mason was now alone with Sandra and Isabelle, though the moment Lily was out of sight she heard Sandra beginning in on saying something and he could tell it was going to be a strong choice of words. Though she backed out of it and left in silence. With a sigh he looked down at the ground and slid his hands into his pockets before turning towards the maid and butler, "Clean the table and you two are off the clock," he stated before making his way upstairs and into the bedroom with Lily.
Sandra refused the limo she'd come in, and instead hauled a cab all the way back to their old apartment. She put Isabelle to bed, and quickly went to her room, disappearing, and bawling her eyes out. She just couldn't believed he'd moved on.. and so fast at that.
"Hey handsome.." Lily trailed, laying in the bed, the covers covering her, and as Mason lingered into the covers, she smiled wickedly and sighed as she laid with him. "I love you. Whether you have an illegitimate child or not." She smirked, and closed her eyes.

Mason sighed and smiled up at her. "I love you too," he stated, though he was still in major thought about everything that went on that night. He couldn't seem to understand why Sandra acted the way she did when she was leaving. As he laid there, lost in thought he eventually fell asleep.
Sandra woke up at the usual 5 A.M. feeding hour, and then proceeded to stay up with the baby until daylight. She groaned as Isabelle constantly cried that morning, for some unknown reason to Sandra. Her eyes were heavy, as Isa's were wide open.
Several hours later, around 10 A.M. Sandra decided to take a stroll with Isabelle through the city, going to the park and sitting upon a bench, where she murmured stories of her and her father, when they were happy.
Lily woke up about 8 A.M. today, and she groaned as she rolled over, burying herself in the covers and her newlywed husband. "Mason.." She moaned, and her head snuggled deeper into his chest. "Do we have to get up?" She whined. After two hours of dreading it, she finally moved, and got herself up.
Throwing on her robe she went downstairs where the maid had coffee ready, and she managed her best polite smirk. "Thank you." She nodded, and proceeded with sugar and creamer in the liquid before feeling the burning sensation down her throat.

Mason let out a soft sigh as he was awoken by the alarm clock and heard his wife's words soon after. "Well, I have to because I have to go to this business breakfast, but of course if you would rather just stay here..." he stated as he began sitting up in bed and noticed that Lily had in turn began getting up as well.
Mason just smirked and climbed out of bed before following her out of the bedroom, still in his boxers as he was handed a cup of coffee. There was no need for cream or sugar since he preferred his black. He took a sip from it as he began reading over the newspaper about the presentation he gave just a couple days before in the park. Like always there were a couple people talking shit about him, but that was always something he brushed aside.
