History: Alexander Jackson was granted his powers at a young age, by no mutation or natural occurrence, but by forces that are beyond science and feasible explanation. Even Alex himself doesn't know exactly what, but something or someone visited him during the night, in his hovel of a home where he lived with his eight year old sister and feeble, ill, mother. This being, who Alex likes to think was Fate himself, took pity on the boy who worked so hard for his family for so little reward, and gifted him with powers beyond his wildest dreams. He began to win every card game he played, every toss of the dice. Gambling money bought his mother medical care, bought them food, bought them everything they wanted. For a time, it seemed that everything was going to be OK.
But when one wins every single game one plays, it is only natural that some others become upset at their loss. And so, within a year, a group of men came in the night to try and kill both Alex and his mother. They succeeded in one part, striking his mother down when Alex was out shopping, but upon his return home he unleashed his full anger on them, slaying them where they stood with magical fire, searing their corpses into the next life without a chance even to beg for mercy. Shocked and frightened by both her mother's death and her brother's seemingly insane rage and powers, his sister fled him, and eluded all his attempts to track her, until Alex decided to give up, and dedicate his life to killing for good, even if his interpretation of the word was somewhat unorthodox. No mercy to be found from this hero...
