Introduction
The Cataclysm has changed the world forever, and it seems all is lost for Horde and Alliance alike. What little dealings the two sides have managed to form together are starting to fray apart little by little. However there are whispers of a group of people made up both Horde and Alliance working together, calling themselves 'Hero's of Azeroth'. No one is sure of what the groups goals are, or even who is a member of it. Many people are willing to join this group, or support whatever goals they may have; while others are not. Which side will you choose in the long run?

Kattheif walked through Stormwind trading district, Viktor following close behind. She was looking for more people to join her guild, and for people to join the Hero's of Azeroth. She was glad that word had got out about the group her and a Bloodelf hunter had founded. That Bloodelf had since been killed, but the group they had manage to bring together still stayed strong. Thinking of her old friend made her think of the male Nightelf that her friend had been seeing. Kattheif wondered what had happened to him since that terrible event. She shook her head, clearing it, then patted Viktor on the neck. She would have to give her other main pet some running time soon, it had been awhile since she had done so. That and Viktor seemed more than willing to take a break from the travels that she had started to take. Smiling to herself she continued through the trade district, asking random people to join her guild.

Noise crashing over Hiran like ocean waves crashing against rocks that make up a shoreline. If it wasn't for the fact that one of the best places to auction leather was Stormwind, he'd have never come into the city. He's heading for the inn, seeking to get a soft bed and a hot meal, Romulus dogging his every step.

Kattheif spotted a Nightelf hunter going to the inn and paused in her search. Something about him was different from the rest of the crowd that surrounded her. On impulse she decided to talk to him, and maybe ask him to join the Hero's if he was the right type of person. She headed in his direction, Viktor following her at a small distance. She made it to the inn door before he did, and quickly inspected him and his pet. Kattheif found it interesting that he wore leather as his main armor, but she supposed that was more comfortable. The only reason she wore mail was because of all the dealings she had in Horde territories. Once he reached the door, she stepped a little bit in his way, not completely blocking his path.
"Excuse me sir, may I have a word with you?"

The voice that belonged to a female nightelf clad in mail pulled him out of his shelter seeking trance. "If you so prefer to do so, go ahead," he answers warily.

Kattheif smiled, the male nightelf seemed tired. "We can go in and sit first if you would like." She pointed to some empty chairs. "Drinks on me."

He moves toward the chairs without giving much thought. Being an elf of old tradition, he pulls out a chair for her,even if she is buying the beverages. Their are such things as formalities to take care of. " I am Hiran Moonbright," he says with a smile that doesn't reach his eyes. "And you are?", he asks, tilting his head to the side, arm making a sweeping motion towards the chair and table.

"Kattheif." she said as she sat, noticing that his smile didn't reach his eyes. "This is one of my pets, Viktor." she pointed to her raptor, who was currently trying to lie down. Kattheif got the attention of the inn keeper and ordered water for herself, no need to get drunk while talking about serious business. "I'm sorry about interrupting your schedule, but something about you grabbed my attention. I knew I had to speak with you." she took a drink, never taking her eyes off the fellow hunter. "Tell me Hiran, what think you of the Hero's of Azeroth?"

"I've heard whispers of blurring the lines," he replies evenly, face displaying a neutral tone. " A good friend of mine was a member. I helped her out where and when i could." For a second, sadness slips into his voice as a memory flash of Asani flares in his mind.

Kattheif raised her eyebrows, he had known a member? This was interesting info indeed. Knowing that he had helped out behind the lines made her wonder why she hadn't heard of him before. She HAD heard of a Hiran from her bloodelf partner....could this Hiran be the same one??
"You..." she glanced around, suddenly nervous about asking him what she wanted to. "You were Asani's friend?"

Hiran's blood froze and his heart skipped a beat. Speaking of Asani still brought pain to him, and here was someone who had known his beloved.
He lowers his head and eyes the table before he answers "yes, i was very much a friend of Asani before her death," sorrow and pain lacing his voice. He swallows before looking up to see her reaction.

Kattheif felt surprised, that this was the same Hiran was unexpected. Then she remembered how the two had been friends and felt her own sadness. Asani had told her of the life that she was carrying, and then to be killed like she was....Kattheif lowered her gaze.
"I am sorry, I should have been there....would have been there, if I hadn't been reassigned at the last minute." she looked up to Hiran "I could have stopped it if I was there, there were a few members on both sides who have been saved from such a fate before, by members on the opposite side." she frowned, lost in thought about that day. She still wondered why she had been given a different mission at the last minute. The mission she had been sent on had ended up as a dead end, and by the time she had come back Asani was already dead. She set down her mug, and sighed. There was nothing she could do now about the whole mess, but still, it felt like it was her fault that her old friend was no longer alive.

"S'not your fault," he says, unchecked tears leaving a glistening path down his cheeks. "Fate can be cruel," he adds, more for himself than his companion. "if I had I got there sooner, she might have lived," his voice first crackes, then breaks, with every syllable. "Almighty Elune, i loved her," he says in a whisper.
The time space after her death is a blur. He remembers stumbling across a twilight's hammer encampment and watching arrows fly as Romulus lunges for a kill shot. Eventually, he winds up in Un'goro crater, alternating wailing like a banshee and flat out screaming from the top of his lungs how unfair the cycle of life and death was.

Kattheif looked around more for his sake than hers. Then she rummaged in one of her bags and brought out a old cloth, and set it in front of him.
"There is nothing I can do or say to bring her back, but the Hero's still work for the same goals. I would be very glad indeed to have Asani's loved one join." she looked to Viktor and started petting him, watching Hiran out of the corner of her eye.
"You don't have to join of course, I can understand if it would bring back unwanted memories." she moved her hand to the bottom of Viktor's jaw "I am however, in need of a good second in command. Our friends on the Horde side are still looking for someone to replace the one who lead that side of the group. They want me to decide, but not without a 'second opinion'. Horde can be stubborn folk at times, but they are nicer than most think." Kattheif continued to pet Viktor, realizing that she was rambling now.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, filling his lungs with air until they couldn't expand any more. Held that for a couple of seconds: did the whole process a second and third time before time before he spoke. "History and legends tell of a time when the people of the world thrived in peace. Before I started out on the path of the hunter, i was always fascinated with those tales. He pauses for a tick, partly to gather his thoughts, partly to watch her expressions. "I've wandered to long without a purpose." One final deep steadying breath before "I accept your offer, Kattheif," and with a small but true smile, stuck out a hand in the human gesture of deal sealing to shake.

Kattheif looked to him and took his hand, shaking it with a smile of her own.
"Good, I'll let you get rest, I have to go to the stables and switch Viktor with another of my pets." she let go of Hiran's hand and looked to her pet. "I've been working him to hard lately, he deserves a break."

He nods in understanding. He'll trade out Romulus in the morning, seeing as the worg seems to rest better taking up most of his bed when permitted. Perhaps he would trade for his stranglethorne tiger, who he still had yet to name.
"I'll head to the auction house early tomorrow morning. I have the feeling that leather won't be a good idea when facing off with opposition." And with that, he finished his drink, did a little bow, and went to go find a bed for the night.

Kattheif watched him go with a small smile. Then she got up herself, and headed out of the inn. Viktor followed, making clicking noises as he walked. She went to the closest Stable Master and traded Viktor for her own worg, Dark. Dark seemed more than happy to see his master, and almost knocked Kattheif over in his joy. Kattheif laughed at his antics. "All right, all right, I get it, I'll let you out more." she pet Dark around his ears and then headed for the inn in the Dwarven District, where she already had a bed reserved for her. She would meet Hiran at the Trade District auction house in the morning, but for now she needed rest herself.

Kattheif woke a little later than she normally would. She knew Hiran would most likely already be up and waiting. Cursing herself, she dressed quickly and ran as fast as she could to the Trade District auction house. She spotted Hiran dressed in something besides leather, and had to fight a laugh. He looked so silly in anything that wasn't armor! She got to where he stood, noticing the crowd that was already gathering to the auction house. Dark went to him ahead of her and yipped for his attention, wagging his tail. She gave Dark a stern look and smiled to him in apology.
"He usually doesn't act this way around others. I think he's just happy to be out of the stables."

"S'kay," he answers, sticking a fisted hand out for the worg to smell.Really, he likes canine introductions better than the feline variety. Canines gave their trust willingly, and didn't attack unless you did. Felines, on the other hand, attacked first and trusted later. He had scars in various places to prove that point. "Maybe he smells Romulus on me," he says causally as he moves from where he was leaning against the wall. "Lead the way," he says after a second, making a sweeping motion towards the door of the auction house.

Kattheif blinked and then entered the auction house. She gathered from the way Hiran was dressed that he wanted some mail. Dark stayed by Hiran for a few seconds, then followed his master, with a dog like grin on his face. Kattheif got to a auctioneer, then waited for Hiran to catch up.

"I've got quite a bit of gold, so we don't have to worry about price," he informs her as he steps up beside her at the auctioneer stand. "I don't exactly fancy getting shot or stabbed," he explains, arms crossed over his chest and a smirk lighting up his face. "Lead the way, milady," he says, still keeping the light tone of voice.

Kattheif raised a eyebrow. She got the auctioneer's attention and whispered for him to bring all male hunting mail gear out. The auctioneer nodded, and went to a back room, then came back out with different kinds of mail, all suited for a hunter. "You're pick, make sure that you absolutely like it before paying for it."

Awhile later, Hiran felt like a mobile boulder. This clearly was going to take some getting use to. Was it just his imagination or did he clink with every movement? He could swear the tiger was rolling her eyes at him. He had gone from being stealthy to making noise with every movement. Patience, he reminds himself, moving his shoulders, trying to get use to the feeling, trying not to let his discomfort show.
"Perhaps we should head back somewhere safe to speak about what being your second entails," he suggests, adding one more small shift for good measure.
