Introduction
"Recently, alarming numbers of Zkand have been reported near Celetian space. They have already ravaged the Isaris Cluster, and, we can only assume, preparing an attack on everything else. This is a serious matter, and the reason why we turn to you. You are an elite, a Hierarch, a living legend. People know you, and fear you. You are more capable then anyone else, and more likely to succeed against the Zkand.
However, a lone Hierarch cannot stop the Zkand on his own. We have fowarded memos as to what kind of power you'll need to beat them, and included a list of "potentials", others who are elites in their fields, that can aid you should you choose to pursue them for this purpose. There are several other Hierarchs as well, and they too shall be building themselves up for the fight.
The Government has sent for their best ship, the ISI-Socrates. It will be given to you to use in any way you see fit. The best of equipment, weapons, and armor are on the ship, and should suit you well. The ship is fully staffed, and no additional requirements are needed.
Recent reports are mainly from the Celestia Systems, and seems a likely place to start. The locations of the "potentials" are listed in their data file. We will keep in touch with you and inform you of anything new.
We can only assume something serious is happening Hierarch, it's up to you now."

This is the OOC Topic for my Roleplay, and as such, I'll use it for some rules basically (as sign-ups for characters can be found here under the Characters Tab. I'll accept up to 10 "Potentials", or the people the Hierarchs can recruit. I'll accept a maximum 5 Hierarchs (in the event of more Hierarchs, I'll add ships and other stuff). Anyone else can choose from the following.
Choice A: Member of the Government (aka Provides New Info and Missions)
Choice B: Ship Crew Member (aka Comic Relief)
Choice C: The Assistant (aka Keeps Tabs on Everything)
Choice D: Part of the Zkand Horde (aka Destroy! Kill the Hierarch!)
A few rules for this Roleplay are...
1: No Playing God
As in, you aren't all powerful. You are a mortal. While your armor and shields can protect you pretty well, you will get dinged up some, and maybe even die. It's inevitable, so no avoiding it. Take what comes at you! By the same token, your Teammates can get hurt and die too. It happens. Also, no controlling other players' characters. Sorry.
2: Literate Writers
I want literate writers. I don't care how long your posts are, I just want them literate. Proper Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar are mandatory.
3: This is a Seperate Universe
While it looks like it may share similarities to Mass Effect, there is nothing Mass Effect related here aside from perhaps story and basic mechanics (which is pushing it greatly).
4: This is an OOC Topic for the Roleplay
If you have questions, either send them to me by message or relay them in this topic. They will be answered.
