In the wizardry world Blood Purity has always been a highly debated and touchy subject, there have always been those who claim that Pure-Bloods are the only true witches and wizards, and those who disagree. While it has never been proven that those with muggle ancestry are any less powerful or skilled, Pure-Blood elitists stand strong in their beliefs, and often-times they are less than kind to those they view as impure. Among such strong tension which has persisted through the ages, an alliance has formed in the shadows, Pure-Bloods who seek to rid the world of those of muggle-descent, especially muggle-born who they often refer to as Mud-bloods. This corrupt organization is known as The Pure-Blood Allegiance, and dark whispers speak of a pure-blood army being raised to attack Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to weed out the impure and gain a foothold over the wizardry world. While such rumors are not to be taken lightly, there is no proof of such plans, and as such the school must continue on as it always has, teaching its students the ways of magic. Students and teachers alike are on edge, but it is simply the beginning of another year at Hogwarts, classes must persist and life continues on as normal, despite this, there are those who take greater heed of such mutterings and are preparing themselves as best they can for the events that may unfold, whether they will seek to help the Pure-Blood Allegiance, or to thwart them is a personal decision every person must make. As rumors pass, they soon evolve, to being said that the leader of the organization, is a student in the school.

The RP begins at the very start of the school year, students are taking the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade where they will then make their way to Hogwarts via boat for the first years or carriages for the older students, and upon their arrival first year students will be sorted into their houses before the start of the year feast.


The Pure-Blood Allegiance:
A corrupt organization consisting of witches and wizards of varying ages who are of pure magical blood, and believe that half-blood and muggle-born witches and wizards are 'tainted', and that pure-blood witches and wizards are chosen to rule over all. Their leader is feared by many, and known only as the 'Blood Master', their true identity has never been revealed. The Allegiance is said to be gathering an army of pure-blood witches and wizards and prepare to attack Hogwarts to eliminate all half-blood and muggle-born students, and even pure-blood students who get in their way, but this is mere speculation. The truth is far beyond what anyone could imagine, however. In actuality, the Allegiance operates within Hogwarts itself, as certain students act as spies and act to carry out the Blood Master's wishes, slowly taking down Hogwarts from the inside. If Hogwarts were to fall under the Allegiance's control, there would be nothing to stop the Blood Master from taking over both the magical and muggle world.

Hogwarts Classes and Scheduling:
Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, and Herbology are mandatory subjects for the first five years. At the end of their second year, students are required to add at least two optional subjects to their schedule for the start of the third year. The five choices are Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies. First years also have Flight class (but are not allowed to have their own broom), and Apparition Lessons are optional to those in the sixth and seventh years, Performing Apparition requires a license and may only be legally performed by people over seventeen years of age.

The day begins at Hogwarts with breakfast in the Great Hall. Students sit at their own House table and can eat and socialize, or finish homework. The Headmaster or Headmistress eats with the professors at the High Table placed at the far end of the hall. During breakfast, owls bring in the students' post, generally consisting of The Daily Prophet, letters from parents or friends, or packages from home. A bell signals the start of the first class of the morning at 9 a.m.

There are two long morning classes with a short break in between them for students to get to their next class. After lunch, classes resume at 1 p.m., and there is a break around afternoon teatime before another class period. The classes are about one hour in length, with occasional double periods lasting two hours. Classes end around five o'clock. First year students get Friday afternoons off, while sixth- and seventh-year students have several free periods during the week. In the evening, students eat their dinner in the Great Hall, after which they are expected to be in their common rooms. Astronomy classes take place late at night in the Astronomy Tower.

HOUSES

Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, leadership, resourcefulness, and most of all, pure wizard blood. The house mascot of Slytherin is the serpent, and the house colours are green and silver. Salazar Slytherin founded the house. The ghost of Slytherin house is The Bloody Baron. The Slytherin dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in the dungeons. The Slytherin common room is a long, low, dungeon-style room, located under the Hogwarts Lake, furnished with green lamps and carved armchairs. The room is described as having a greenish glow. The head of this house is the Dark Arts professor.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. The house mascot is an eagle and the house colours are blue and bronze (or blue and grey). The head of this house is the Charms professor, and the house ghost is The Grey Lady. Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air. The founder of this house is Rowena Ravenclaw.

The dormitories are located in Ravenclaw Tower on the west side of the school. The common room, is round and filled with blue hangings and fat armchairs, has a domed ceiling painted with stars and features a replica statue of Rowena wearing her diadem. It is also said that, by day, the Ravenclaws "would have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains." A logical riddle must be solved to gain entry, whereas the Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Slytherin common rooms only require a password, indicating that it may be easier for those students from other houses who possess a high degree of intelligence to enter this common room than others.

Hufflepuff values hard work, tolerance, loyalty, and fair play. The house mascot is the badger, and canary yellow and midnight black are its colors. The Head of this house is the Herbology teacher, and the house ghost is The Fat Friar. Hufflepuff corresponds roughly to the element of earth. The founder of this house is Helga Hufflepuff.

The Hufflepuff dormitories and common room are located somewhere in the basement. The entrance is found behind a still life painting somewhere near the kitchens, a password is required for entry. The Hufflepuff common room is filled with yellow hangings and fat armchairs and it has little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops (much like a badger sett).

Gryffindor values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry. Its mascot is the lion, and its colors are scarlet and gold. The Head of this house is the Transfiguration teacher, and the house ghost is Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, more commonly known as Nearly Headless Nick. The founder of the house is Godric Gryffindor.

The Gryffindor common room is located in one of the castle's highest towers, the entrance to which is located on the seventh floor in the east wing of the castle and is guarded by a painting of The Fat Lady, who is garbed in a pink dress. She permits entry only after being given the correct password, only to be blocked by The Fat Lady after he could not give the correct password.
