Be it uncontrollable anger issues, intense pyromania, feeling incredibly suicidal, or an overpowering urge to destroy things... whatever the reason, you've wound up in Holden Academy and there's no way out of this one.

The staff at Holden are all trained especially to handle and to help kids like you -- kids with problems. [But, of course, not everyone wants to be helped.

HOLDEN::LAYOUT & PLOT

Holden Academy lies within tall, thick stone walls curving around in a wide circle until it reaches the twin metal gates.
On one side of the huge school block is the boys' dormitories, and on the other, the girls'. All lights are turned off by 11.30pm, and no one is allowed in the dormitory of the opposite sex after 8pm. Wake-up is at 6.30am and everyone is expected to be in the dining hall for breakfast by seven. School begins at 8.15, with a daily assembly, and classes start at 8.30am. The school day ends at 3pm, and students are then free to do as they please (within reason, of course) on and off campus, howver, students must be back on school grounds by 8pm.
The school hall is a fairly roomy building with a high ceiling, located closest to the gates.
Furthest from the gates is the cheesily-named "social room", which is a "specially designed" area in which the students can "hang out". Open for all students to use, between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.
Also located on the school grounds is a sick bay -- almost like a mini hospital really, for the students.

Saturday and Sunday are non-schooling days, but students are expected to use that time to complete any homework they have been given, and students are permitted to leave the school grounds, but must return by 10pm.

It's the first day of a new school year at Holden Academy, and you are one of the new arrivals. Will you attempt to mend your ways, to chance for the better; or will you fight against those trying to "help" you fix your problems, until you can't fight anymore? Will you embrace what Holden has to offer, or will you repel it? And along the way, what adventures will you have? Maybe you'll find new friends, run into old acquaintances, and make a few enemies along the way? Maybe you'll try your hardest to get released from the school, maybe you'll just keep getting into trouble. And maybe you'll even fall in love...
