"Close your eyes darling, for tonight, we dance with the devil."

Image| Name |
"My name is unimportant. What's important is how much you're planning to pay me." Skyleigh Aliss Bones [Sky-lee | Uh-liss | Bow-ns]

| Nickname |
"I use nicknames often. I feel if someone knows your real name, they have a power over you." Very rarely does Skyleigh give out her real name, and even more rarely do they know her last name. She likes to give out nicknames instead. Some common ones are Skylar, Sky, Lee, Lea [ lay-uh ], or Ky. She's rather fond of nicknames and will really accept anything. However, should you call her names like baby, darling, sweetheart, ect. look out. You're in trouble. Names like that bother her, and she very rarely permits them, despite the fact that she uses them often for other people.

| Age |
"There's a reason I've managed to live so long darling." 498 years-old, give or take a few years.

| Race |
"Only the best." Skylar is a dark elf, despite her small, light appearance, most mistake her as a wood elf or a light elf.

| Gender |
"That one hurt darling." Female, clearly.

| Appearance |
"Careful now, looks can be deceiving." Skye is a lovely woman with a delicate appearance. When it comes to body type, Skylar is rather small, weighing only 103 lbs. She's got thin shoulders, a slender neck, and a slim waist. She's got very slight curves, as she's not overly curvy, and she's only about 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Upon looking at Skye, most don't think much of her, for obvious reasons. Most see her as delicate, pretty, and weak, nothing more. However, she's actually rather dangerous, for, what she lacks in physical power, she makes up for in mental power. She knows people tend to see her the wrong way, and she uses it to her advantage often, playing the role of the victim or the helpless.

When it comes to facial features, Skylar is very pretty. She's not stunning or breathtaking like a Siren, but she does have a way of capturing the eye. She's got a delicate bone structure, with high cheekbones and a thin jawline. Her nose is small and slightly turned up, and her lips are always a soft pink color. Her eyes are, by far, the most captivating feature on her face. They're rather large, making her look doe-eyed and innocent, and have a way of capturing you. Their color, is by far the most unique thing about them, for they never seem to be the same color. They change according to her emotion. Something she hates, for it could very easily give her away if she lost control, but she has her emotions under very tight lock-and-key. As such, their usual color is an ever swirling opalescent pool. A mix of all colors, always swirling about her iris's. They're like this when she's hiding her emotion.

When it comes to hair, Skyleigh's hair is bright icy blonde, almost white. It literally, could not be blonder. In the sun, it reflects the light, making it look even brighter. It's soft, and extremely long. She's very fond of the length of her hair and would never cut it. Naturally, it hangs just past her hips. Her bangs sweep gently across her forehead to the right, framing her face, or hang straight down, depending on how she styles them.

Finally, when it comes to tattoos, piercings, and scars, Ky has several. For tattoos, she has two that she was born with, and one that she went out and got done herself. The first one she was born with is actually on her face. Not a common place to have a tattoo, however it actually looks good on her, and is easy to hide, despite it's location. It's a black butterfly marking, that stands out sharply against her pale skin. It sits on her temple, under her bangs, and kisses the end of her eyebrow, so that it looks as though the butterfly is resting there, on her eyebrow. The second marking she was born with sits on her right hip, the point tilted in, and is a black dagger, with a rose wrapped around it. Her final tattoo, she got herself, and sits between her shoulder blades and reads in simple, small, but readable black print: "Soul of a lion".
In all, Skyleigh has a very striking, and misleading, appearance.

Adjective

1. Cunning or wily
2. Stealthy, insidious, elusive, or secret.
3. Playfully artful, mischievous, or roguish

"Let's play a game." Skyleigh is the kind of girl you either love, and look up to, or hate, and cannot stand. It's nearly impossible to describe her in one word. The best way to put it, is to say, she merely wants the freedom to do what she wants, to come and go as she pleases, and meddle in the business of others a little too much. She's quite the mischievous one, and does what she wants, when she wants to. No questions asked. She's flighty, unpredictable, and operates solely on whim. She's the type who never really has side, or holds alliances. She simply likes to float between all sides, pitting them against each other and sort of shoving things along in the background.

She may seem completely random, but that is apart of her. If you do not know her, you'll find her ever-shifting personalities and whims strange, and a little mad, but once you get to know her a little, you'll grow used to it. You'll discover that you cannot change her, and you cannot force her, you just have to let her be, and the sooner you realize this, the sooner you'll grow used to her strange ways. Maybe even like having her around.

Sky doesn't hold alliances. Sure, she'll make you think she's on your side, if it's beneficial to her at the moment, but at the very last second, when it's too late, you'll find out she'd been double-crossing you the whole time. She doesn't like to grow emotionally attached to people, places, or things. She makes no attachments. Sure, she makes acquaintances, and she'll grow fond of people, but there are rules to her companionship. The most important being, that you never try to tie her down. She'll pick favorite people for a while. People who's lives seem interesting to her, or who it would be fun to meddle with, but never think that she's doing it simply because she likes you. No, her reasons are for her only. She picks a favorite person to follow around based on weather or not they fit her fancy, or suit her needs, and, once she's done with that person, she simply leaves. She'll pack up in an instant if she feels like it, and feel nothing. You have to let her do her own thing, be who she is. Trying to change her, or make her do something is just too much of a hassle. If she wants something, she'll get it. If she wants to do something, she'll do it. She hates being in any position of responsibility. She refuses to be responsible for anything, hating having that pressure on her shoulders. She prefers to bounce around it the background, making deals and shoving things along anonymously, and then sitting back to watch her lovely chaos play out before her.

Still, however much Sky hates being in positions of responsibility, she could not be more cut out for the job. She's never had to be responsible for anyone's wishes, dreams, goals, or lives, but her own, and figures that she never will, however, she has it in her, should she have to be. She has a quick mind, and an eternity of wisdom to back it up, making her tongue a rather dangerous weapon, as she also has quite the silver tongue. She is naturally deceitful and elusive, able to spin words better than a spider can spin a web, and though she tends not to lie, she usually never tells the whole truth either. If she's informing you of something, she may just give you a small piece of the whole puzzle and what you get is what you get. There is no reasoning with her, and if you try to persuade or bribe her, she simply gets angry, and having herImage as only half an ally is far better than having her as an enemy. The best way of reasoning with her, is to make a deal or a game, some sort of bet. These, she can never turn down. She also never does a service without payment. Ever. Some of her requests can seem odd sometimes, others more practical, like money, but whatever it is she wishes you to pay her with, you better have it. Double-crossing her is a very wrong decision.

Though she's cunning, Skyleigh is far from perfect. She has a slightly manic and flighty aura about her, leading others to think that it would be better to just leave her alone than be involved with her. And while she may not be completely insane, she has small ways of showing that she's not exactly "all there." One of these ways is her temper. She's extremely easy to anger, and in the middle of a tantrum, there is nothing she won't do. Nothing stops her, and she'll tear down the whole world to get revenge. Another way she shows slight madness is through the way she does things. She makes decisions solely on whim, and, though they're typically good ones, can seem completely random at times, as though they came up from nowhere. Her emotions can shift drastically in seconds. You may meet her one day, and think she's cool, and sophisticated, and the next, she's wild, and rebellious. For the most part, she likes to play the part of the perfectly put together, intimidating, powerful and calm woman, but underneath this cool surface is a boiling inferno of random whims, thoughts, and actions all waiting to be unleashed. Some days she has a harder time keeping it together than others, and on these days, she'll lock herself in her room and let herself go mad.

Skye also has an immense need for affection. She could never be alone, or she would go ballistic. For this reason, she chose favorites, and just kind of hangs around them. True attachment is never really seen, as it is always possible that, at any moment, she could disappear as fast as she appeared and move on to find a new favorite. She's impossible to predict, as she could appear at any moment. Once she's chosen you as her favorite, there's almost no way to get rid of her, unless you're downright cruel to her, but this would make you her enemy, for she can hold a grudge. This is something you certainly don't want, so most people just let her hang around and find that they generally enjoy her company and attention anyway while they have it.

Sky has a horrible time taking orders, and nearly every time a job is assigned to her, she does what she wants anyway. Though she is not irresponsible for she has been taking care of herself for years, but if she doesn't see the sense in things, or doesn't want to, she doesn't bother to follow through. You have to pick and chose your rules for her carefully because she will always bend them. She's is a sneaky girl who always has a habit of getting around rules and retrieving what she wants. She can lie better then anyone, spinning her words expertly, knowing how to slip in and out of tricky situations with ease. She has an exceptional talent for reading people, able to see into them with just a glance and know their fears and desires, and, also, how to give them to them.

Image| Brief History |
"It's not a happy tale of love and acceptance." Since the day she was born, Skylar has been under constant pressure to be perfect. To be wildly rich. To have glorious things. Her mother was a Light Elf by the name of Regina, who's parents were both High Elves. As High Elves, they were extremely materialistic, and thought they were too good for those around them. Unfortunately, they also thought their daughter wasn't good enough, so they threw her out at the age of eight. Her parent's cruelty hardened Regina's heart, and their lack of love sent her on a mission to find what they'd never given her. She wanted to prove them wrong, and show them that she could be better than they every were. And so, she was nothing, but she set out to be something.

It wasn't long before Regina realized fame, power, and money were hard to come by for a commoner like her, and so she started cheating around. She became the mistress of six different members of Royalty, and, in turn, they gave her all the material things she could have ever wanted.

That was, of course, until she got pregnant. And to which man the baby belonged to, she had no clue. So they all disowned her. Every one of them turned away from her, and she was once again left with nothing.

Only, not completely nothing.

She had Skyleigh. Only something was wrong inside Regina. She had been so focused on gaining money and power her entire life, she no longer loved, and so, she couldn't love Skye. The poor girl was raised by a mad woman who beat her relentlessly if she didn't comb her hair to just the right softness, with just the right amount of brush strokes.

Skyleigh was forced to be perfect. She was raised in a very tense home, and was always trying to get her mother's approval, but as her mother grew older, she became more and more high-strung. She became twitchy and anxious, running around the house screeching at her daughter to be perfect. That she was a disgrace. Still though, Sky cherished the small moments when she'd do something right, and her mother would look at her and smile briefly, saying something wistfully like: "You'll be magnificent." or "They'll worship you."

It wasn't until she was older that Sky began to truly hate her mother, for, by that point, Skylar was taking total care of her mother, for she was completely insane. She did everything for the woman, and all she'd get was a smack across the face or a viscous beating with a broom. Everyday, Sky hated the woman more. She no longer wanted her approval, she just wanted to get away from her. When her mother came at her one night with a knife because she'd missed a spot while sweeping, that was the end. She turned the knife on her own mother and was done with her horrible life.

What she didn't know was that her mother had rubbed off on her in more ways than one. Skyleigh couldn't love. She couldn't grow attached to things, and she had a terrible need for power and attention. Image She was even slightly mad, unable to hold onto reality sometimes. However, Sky had something her mother never had. She had sanity, and she had cunning. She knew the ins and outs and ups and downs. She knew how people worked, and what made them tick. She was masterful in deception and manipulation, and knew how to get what she wanted when she wanted, so, it wasn't long until she'd landed a spot on Cain's court, firmly planting herself on his good side. Often, she can be at odds with him, for she refuses to ever let anyone truly rule her, but she is a dangerous enemy to have, and she suspects Cain probably knows that.

Sometimes, she believes that, if she truly wanted to, she could go all the way as to make herself Queen, but for now, she's content with her luxurious, free life as a member of Cain's court.

| Cain? |
"Are you kidding? Cain is just as power-hungry as I am, if not, more." Sure, Ky knows of Cain's corruption, however, most of the time, she is completely indifferent. Often, she is dealing under the table behind Cain's back, as she doesn't always agree with his decisions, but her craving for power, attention, and luxury keeps her from defying him out right. It's too much fun to see how much she can get away with without his notice. Some days, she admires his corruption, others, she doesn't care, and still others, she hates it. It really depends on the mood she's in that day.

Eyes On Fire - Blue Foundation
I'll seek you out
Flay you alive
One more word and you won't survive
And I'm not scared
Of your stolen power
I see right through you any hour

I won't soothe your pain
I won't ease your strain
You'll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain

I'm taking it slow
Feeding my flame
Shuffling the cards of your game
And just in time
In the right place
Suddenly I will play my ace

I won't soothe your pain
I won't ease your strain
You'll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain

Eyes on fire
Your spine is ablaze
Felling any foe with my gaze
And just in time
In the right place
Steadily emerging with grace

Ahh, felling any foe with my gaze
Ahh, steadily emerging with grace
Ahh, felling any foe with my gaze
Ahh, steadily emerging with grace

ImageOne swift, graceful leap. A smooth, fluid movement, brought Skyleigh's feet from the high castle roof across from her room, to the thin sill of her window. Quickly, and without wasting time to make sure no one had spotted her, she slipped through the window, where her feet landed gently and soundlessly on a plush fox-fur rug she'd placed just inside her window for days like these, when she needed it to muffle the sound of her landing.

Sky paused for a moment and pulled her curtains shut before flicking the dark hood of her cloak back, revealing bright, silvery blonde hair that hung in long, flowing tresses down to her hips. Unlike most of the ladies on Cain's court, she very rarely pulled her hair back. She preferred to keep it free as she enjoyed the feel of it on her arms, and the looseness of it as it bounced around her.

Quickly, Sky whipped off her cloak in a swift spinning motion of her arms and folded it gently, returning it to it's place in her dresser. After this, she made her way into her bathroom to wash her feet off gently, effectively destroying the evidence of her midnight outing. Not only had she been out later than Cain would approve of, but she'd been meeting with a man known to hate him. She got on Cain's bad side often, but she didn't want to give him a reason to lock her away for good.

After cleaning herself, a knock sounded at her door and Skyleigh smiled slightly. She loved being pampered. Morning was her favorite part of the day. "Come in!" She called lightly and two of her serving girls stepped in sheepishly. Minnie and Molly. The girls were twins and quite young, but Sky liked them.

She sat at her vanity so that Molly could brush out her long flaxen hair while Minnie picked a gown for her to wear. "Miss?" Molly said sheepishly from behind her as she brushed through her hair. "You... You have leaves in your hair.."

Sky flicked a wrist gently, dismissing the comment. "Midnight stroll in the garden." She said with a mischievous grin. Her opalescent eyes locked on the small girl's in the mirror as she raised a slim finger to her lips as though gesturing that it was their little secret.

Once her hair had been fully brushed out and Minnie had pinned little purple orchids throughout it, Sky dressed in a lavender gown and gestured for the girls to leave her as she gazed at herself in the mirror. She was a true work of art. Not stunning, like some of the women on Cain's court, but surely an eye-catcher. She had a way of making others nervous and twitchy with just a glance. Something in her eyes. Maybe that touch of madness you could see to them, despite the cool and collected exterior. Or maybe it was just the fact that she was on Cain's court, and highly privileged. One of the few residents of the castle that was not a High Elf.

"They'll worship me mother." She whispered to the mirror, no longer seeing her own face, but her mother's eyes staring back at her, cruel, condescending, and filled with a wild madness. Sky had to blink her eyes tightly and wipe away the illusion to keep from screaming at the top of her lungs and tearing the mirror off the wall.

Composing herself, Sky turned away from the mirror in a swirl of lilac and silver, and left her room, stepping lightly down the castle halls.

ImageKalista woke with a start, rolling over roughly and landing on the hard concrete, scraping her knees and slapping her palms down to stop from hitting her head. She breathed deeply, in and out, in and out, as she struggled to regain memory of her surroundings. She was safe. There was no fire. No soldiers. Just her.

Once she'd managed to steady her hammering heart and regulate her quick, short breathing, she rolled back over and sat with her back to the brick wall, looking around the vicinity. She was in her "home" under one of Home's many bridges. Tucked away, hidden from the world. Safe. Well, not exactly safe. She was still wanted. Still banished and living like an animal. However, at the moment, she was not in any danger.

Kali smiled at the thought and stood, gazing around at the many paintings that covered the underside of the bridge. Everyday she woke up alive, she added to the collage of little pictures that stretched all the way across the bridge. Some were happy depictions, others scenes from a nightmare, but all were personal to her.

Stretching out her muscles luxuriously, Kali daintily picked up her brush and hopped gracefully up onto the low ledge that she slept on, adding a picture of a raven between a picture of a flaming scarecrow and a picture of a moonlit sky.

Satisfied, Raven leaned back to inspect her work and smiled. Painting reminded her of her mother. The fluid motions of the brush, the way a flick of the wrist could turn a thought into a reality. Just the very smell of the paints brought her back to when she would sit with her mother in her studio and watch the Adept woman create.

A low rumbling sound from her stomach shook Rae from her daydream and she hopped gently down from the wall again, bare feet hardly making a sound against the concrete as she returned her brush back to it's resting place and grabbed the pale blue hooded cloak from her small pile of things.

Time for some breakfast. She thought to herself as she slipped on her cloak and pulled up the hood to hide her long black hair and shadow her facial features. She had two cloaks. A deep, heavy purple one for the night, and a lighter, sky blue one for the daytime. Both, she'd taken a knife to along the bottom so that they only hung down to her knees to allow her the freedom of movement without tripping, just as she'd done to all her dresses.

With quick, smooth steps, she left the safety and cover of the bridge and stepped out into the sunlight. She wrapped around, up the hill to the road, and crossed the bridge into the city.

As she passed through the city, she made sure to keep her eyes alert and her ears open. Breakfast... She thought as she made her way into the market, passing, and ignoring Cain's long list of silly rules in the center. Sights, smells and sounds overwhelmed her as she glided in and out of people, generally unnoticed, something she knew how to do well as a Shade. Raven lifted her head as the smell of freshly baked bread drifted towards her and she smiled, spotting the vendor a little ways down.

Unfortunately, there was a soldier standing nearby, but Raven liked a challenge. She was a swift thief and was rarely caught. When she was, she typically managed to slip away before they could nab her, and she was so hungry, and the bread smelled so good.

So, with the bread vendor as her target, Raven slipped thought the crowd just as she had been before and, just as she was passing a man bringing out a tray of steaming rolls, her hand swiftly nabbed one and tucked it away in her cloak before anyone could see.

Quick. Easy. Just like that.

But... Who'd grabbed her? Rae turned her head to look into the eyes of whoever had thought it a good idea to grab her wrist. As usual, for she was small, she had to look up. Way up. The very tall, very strong soldier she'd seen earlier had a firm grip on her wrist.

Shit. She cursed in her head as he yanked on her arm, causing her hood to fall and her body to crush against his chest as he reached for her other hand.

But she was quick, and she tucked the roll she was holding in her other hand into a hidden pocket in her cloak just a milisecond before he yanked her hand forward and looked, perplexed, at it's emptiness.

Raven shot the man her best innocent look with her doe-eyes and tried to wriggle her tiny wrists free from his huge hands, but it was no use. He merely yanked her closer and squeezed her wrists tighter. If Raven could have cried out, she would have, for the pain was excruciating. She could practically feel the bones in her wrist bending, almost to their breaking points.

"Please." She mouthed, though no sound came out as she twisted her wrists back and forth in his grip and struggled frantically to pull away. She couldn't be taken to Cain's dungeon. He wouldn't let her through again. She had to get away. There was no way she would go to prison over a stupid roll.

"You're a thief." The man growled, spitting in her face, and Rae had to resist the urge to roll her eyes and nod, making it clear that he'd pointed out the obvious.

Instead she just shot him her best frightened look and shook her head frantically. "Then how'd you get these?" He asked and flicked her ears, gesturing to the ruby, the turquoise, and the silver hoops she kept in them.

She couldn't tell him they were her mothers. She had no way of doing so unless she sent it to him telepathically, and she was far too worked up to concentrate on a message. "Please." She merely mouthed again, to which he responded by squeezing her wrists, just about making her fall to her knees as he dragged her through the streets towards Cain's castle.
