In the year 2010 the intergalactic council, always in search of new species, decided to send research teams into an until then uncharted galaxy to see if it was home to any species that were fit to join the council. Of the hundreds of recon ships that entered the galaxy, only one returned with news of the discovery of a planet where life had developed. The planet in question, from thereon referred to as T'yasa 03, was a small, seemingly insignificant blue planet mainly inhabited by a race of bipedal warm-blooded omnivores with two five-fingered hands and two eyes which had established settlements of varied sizes all across the planet. Their curiosity piqued, the members of the council decided to send a mixed team of scientists that would observe the behaviour of the species up close in i's natural habitat. Equipped with the very best of council scientific equipment, the scientists would closely observe various aspects of the species' nature, such as their biology, their psychology and psychic potential, their level of technology and so on. Accompanying the scientists was a group of guards provided by the council to ensure the safety of the research team's members. The team was informed that, in order to retrieve accurate data of the species' behaviour, discovery by the natives was to be avoided at all costs. With that, the research team departed from the space colony where the team had been assembled and began it's journey to T'yasa 03.
