Fantasy is just a myth
In todays society of advanced technology and general ignorance, the things of the past are quite often ignored. The stuff of legend no longer means anything. The only thing that matters is greed. People don't look at the past. They don't want to. When they look into the past they see war, death and destruction. The people are so ignorant they cant even foresee that humanity will continue this cycle for thousands of years until they are wiped out completely.
The year is 2010. And with the world in crisis and people panicking about this that and the other. The greed of others is finally being exposed. Some people are turning back to the past and looking at how we can learn from our mistakes. However, if you look back at each great period of time, they always mention a crystal. The crystal has the power to destroy the earth and force humanity to start anew. Of course most people believe it a fantasy. However due to the amount of sheer greed that is going on recently, more and more people are starting to believe. That in itself means trouble. There are now whole countries searching for the crystal in a attempt to use it to get more power. There are corporations wanting it for their own twisted uses. The crystal has been spread around like a chinese whisper, and what the crystal can actually do has been changed with each whisper. People now believe the crystal can do anything. And that is why the whole world is now searching.
Rules
the normal rules apply, however please try to post at least 2 paragraphs. I will add my GM character when we have enough so i can use it to bring groups together etc.
