        Name: Lexus Venue

        Nickname: Lex

        Age: 16 years old (Freshman)

        Program: Dancer

        Sexuality: Pansexual
Likes:
Dancing | Not surpising is it? He loves to dance like it is his passion, and he would never stop although his carrier may not seem to go to the way he wanted it to be. He often said how relaxing dancing is, as if you lose yourself in the movement and only stop when the music dies.
Sweets | 'Real man don't eat sweets' does not apply for Lex.
Music with Depth | He heard just too many music which won't touch his heart, although he is known to be fairly sensitive in that matter.
Tea | Definitely. Not Coffee. Not Alcohol. But hot tea, without sugar.
Playing Chess | He definitely is not the best strategist out there, but he enjoys to play chess.
Explore new dancing movements and Choreography | Self explanatory.
Spontaneity and Freedom | The most important for an artist like Lexus Venue, who do not wishes to be tied by ridiculous things like rules.

Dislikes:
Vagueness | He dislike people who aren't sure whether to do something or not. Those are just an hindrance and not meant to be an artist.
Coffee | Too bitter.
Smokers | Those are just despicable person who tried to look cool.

Lack of Determination and Clumsiness | Those people as well are hindrances in Lex's eyes. They simply won't last long and won't ever be famous. Yes, he is very strict in those things. He saw lack of determination as lack of desire and braveness to pursue their so called 'dreams'. Lacking determination means that you don't really want to achieve the dream.
Music without feelings | Self explanatory.
Injustice | Self explanatory.
Money related dreams | Having dreams because you want to be rich is for Lex to lowest dream ever.

Fears:
Pressure | He hated pressure. However, he had to feel pressure everyday, which is why he just watched that he doesn't overstressed.
Betrayal | Whether betrayal between friends, or acquaintances.
To be deceived by those, who he trusted the most | Other words for betrayal (lol).

Dreams:
To teach dancing | He always wanted to teach children how to dance.
Defeating his grandfather in chess | His grandfather was the one who teached him chess and awoken his interest in that black and white board game. He never defeated him.
To dance with someone he loves | One lovable side of him, and he even doesn't keep that a secret.

Talents:
Choreography and Dancing | Self explanatory.
Very spontaneous and full of new ideas | As if his ideas come and go every second. Though yeah, he is quite the oblivious one.
Flexibility | The flexibility of his body is simply a gift from heaven.

Hobbies:
Sudoku | Also Crosswords. He loved those little plays for the brain. His beloved grandfather intoduced those to him.
Drawing | He enjoyed to draw abstract things, often feel like drawing when he is full of new ideas, frustrated or just a bit too happy.
Reading various books about the worlds Philosophy | Self explanatory. Well, he has a thing to read about after death. He find those things somehow beautiful.

Secrets:
Has a weakness for children | Probably also the reason why he wants to teach children dancing.
Eating Issues | He easily loses weight, but he also easily gain it. Well, it's nothing big then unless he excercised everyday, because he loved to eat many portions that one would not guess if seeing him.

Personality:
He is a very unique individual who is calm in everything he does unless it has to do with dancing. Calm in receiving critics, never complain if it is understandable and never had an issue with his temper. Although you should note that he will turn aggressive if injustice and irresponsibility had to do with it. He was never a capable forgiver - he memorized the most ridiculous things only to keep him updated for everyones ill behaviour. Indeed, he doesn't trust anyone too easily and is a very picky person in that matter, although he often leave the impression of an open- minded person. Terribly stubborn though was Lex if it has to do with the things he loved, like dancing. He won't count to those who you call 'perfectionist', he only carved for the beauty in dancing and his own satisfaction. True, he can receive critics like being said above, but in the end, there was always traits that represent him and are unexchangeable; a particular imperfection which had that natural beauty that most of the famous dancers have long forgotten. Something no one can criticize though it is indeed imperfect. It's just that, this one, is definitely wanted.
Having a spontaneous instinct, he always did what he wanted to do and is creative in every way which is the why he often got into trouble with teachers. Even so, that won't stop him from doing his own thing; he was a very loose person carved for freedom and entertainment. Well, somehow he still managed to stay in the academy because of his skills to argue. He usually is a very calm character, but because of his stubbornity and his own view of world, he often got mixed into arguements and conflicts which more or less ended with his argue partners to give up, speechless and tired.
Valuing fashion he never showed himself out dated and that made him always apart of cool fellowship, though really, he didn't care. He was someone indifferent about his surroundings, with the reason it doesn't concern him. However, that didn't mean he would tolerate violence and injustice. If he knew about something isn't right, he would definitely point it out and accuse those who was at fault. Never though he really tied himself with someone because of something that has already passed, but left scarf in his heart. Anyways, like already had been said, he never had any deep bonds with anyone. That's probably also because he doesn't feel any urge to socialize much, seeing it as rather bothersome. On the contrary though, he didn't dislike a nice chat with anyone, unless the topic pleased him. Lex disliked chatting about things that didn't really interest him, only babbling some useless things that won't ever come in use and really hated those who spread unverified rumors.
Alright, all in all, everything positive about him already had been said, well most of it. So, where lies the rub? No one is perfect, obviously. The same is true for Lex. Although he kind of carved for justice, he didn't mind to use violence. He was someone who believed that violence was the best for those, who won't listen and sometimes, he used it a bit too rushly. Indeed, he will never raise his fist to children, for that he just loved children too much, but against those who he believed deserved it, he would go with the risk of injuring himself. That was one bad trait of his: He usually talks (or strikes) before he has been thinking it through first. That's also why he always lost to his grandfather and although he always pointed it out, Lex never tried to think, like talking and striking was something like his instinct. It just happens. Another thing about him is his obliviousness and his insensibility towards the feelings of others. Also caused by his spontaneity of not thinking through, he often hurted others feelings without even realising, and forgetting things which for other people is important, although for him it's not. Likewise, he already had a bunch of girlfriends who all left him with the same reason of having the supicion of Lex not caring about them. And, frankly saying, that was kind of the truth. Well, it was them who confessed him though, so Lex took it quite indifferently.
Irony in his words were never something unusual, he often did that because he tend to underestimate people who talked big or someone, who he just disliked because of the difference of opinion or personality. Distinguished by his nonchalant attitude, he was definitely not someone who was in peace with everyone. Sometimes, jealous people tried to diss him which often ended up with a fight. Well, though without him knowing, Lex already made enemies with his irony in his words which made many people misunderstand. He was never someone who explains himself because he thought that it was already clear enough, which is even more the reason why he got disliked so much. Well, even so, although he is such a jerk towards womans feelings and never fall in love before, he definitely had sensibility and empathy. Although currently, all his passion and feelings are only meant for his particular lover: Dancing and Choreography.

History:
Growing up at his grandfathers place, he never had money issues. He had always lived in a big house with every thing he needed and without any complains. However, that did not neccesarily means that he was a spoiled brat. His grandfather was kind of an odd man although he looked like every other old grandpa these days. Often he loved and tried to make his grandchild laugh which wasn't successful though. But he already had the respect from Lex and truly, he adored his grandfather. Being abonded or rather, not cared by his parents - he even couldn't remember their faces, only saw them on black- white pictures - he didn't grow up lonely because of the presence of his grandpa. Both having a calm side, they often were in the same room doing their things, but still enjoyed each other presence. Without any words, only the silence. Lex was always comforted by his grandpa, but as he grew up, he quickly never had to neccesarily go to him again. In a very early age, he started to get independent, started to talk about things, which even his grandfather didn't understood and lived, like he wanted it to be. That's why he was also one famous trouble maker, who didn't listen to the teachers. However, he never learnt his lesson, even though he had been told off so many times already. It was just his nature to be stubborn and that's how he came across his love for fashion. Whether it was creepy or not for a boy stare up to dresses in the display window, he never felt any embarassment up until now. He quickly adored those unique way to dress, to be 'up to date' which made him quite popular. Though then, he was an open-minded person, quite naive and always smiled so that he was also popular among the boys. They adored him, even gave him the spot as the class representative though he was quite the air- head then (well, sometimes now and then too). He didn't have the smarts for it though and that's the first time where he felt pressure, being overstressed by all those who looked up to him, wanted him to succeed, wanted him to be perfect - they just saw him as someone he was not, and he did not stand such a position. He disappointed them then because of his lack of determination, something he regretted even until now.
Afterwards he changed, changed to the bad. He did not smile anymore and started to only read book, alone. Lex is not someone with smarts and gave up easily on things he didn't feel like doing so at some point, he started to ditch school and hang out with some nasty guys. He began to mix up into more and more fights and his grandfather always had to see him coming home with a couple of bruises everywhere. However, he didn't comment. He didn't say anything as he treated Lex. In the end, Lex was so curious why he isn't going to be angry about it, and his grandpa only answered: Because you know yourself what you're doing wrong. Such a simple thing ended up a smile on Lex face after so long. However, that did not changed the situation. He was still awkward with his classmates, all of them avoided him and talked ill until he snapped. He ran away.
Nope, it was definitely not something with the drama with the police, his grandpa hated them and after all, he was sure that his grandchild was alright. Anyways, he ran away to the central city, where he was not suspected among those many crowds. He often went there when he ditched school, so he was familiar with all the streets. That day, there had been some artists coming to town, performing street dancing and music. Something fantastic that even Lex won't ever forget. Dancing had moved him. Tears were not avoidable in such situation that really touched the dancers. They gave him lessons. Pretty surprised were they how flexible Lex body was, as if he was born to dance and his dazzling smile at it, like he lived just to entertain. They were impressed, but they never asked him to be in their group. He was underaged and he had a family. They not. And therefore they left him without any worries - because he told them that he won't end dancing only with that. He is just getting started. That was - more or less - the story before he bagged his grandpa for dancing lesson and finally were able to be accepted into the Academy. There are another things to tell, but those have to wait for Lex to tell you about from his own mouth.

Place of Origin: Canada

Theme Song: The Truth about Heaven - Armor To Make Believe

Anything else:
↺ Although it's kind of annoying, Lex still wore his hair long because he just disliked his appearance with short hair. That's how he developed the quirk to always comb his back so it won't block his eyes.
↺ He actually needs glasses, but felt uncomfortable wearing them. That's why he always had contact lenses on.
↺ As you already could guess, he was among the minor of people who didn't pursue a big carrier. He only wanted to graduate so he could teach at the best places.

So begins...

Melrose Academy Move-In Day

It was move-in day!

It was late August, the warm California sun beating down on poor, defenseless people as they made their way through their different lives, each going on different paths. Some crossed such paths; others, went on by without even acknowledging each other. But it was lively on Melrose Academy campus as the students filed in by groups. Squeals and yells of excitements could be heard a mile away as friends reunited. Some were not as escastic as others. Most, however, were filled with a new sense of adventure and wonder at the looming year of backstabbing, creativity, blooming romance, rivalries and friendships.

Who's ready for an awesome school year?
(OOC: I know. this sucked. but my creative juices are dry right now as i stare at psychology in the face)

Mom, we've been through this," Nina said calmly, staring up at her anxious mother with expectant and weary eyes. No matter how many times they have done this - unpacking her clothes in a room that wasn't hers and separating for at least a week - Mirella Lovell seemed to not get used to it. Sad green eyes took in her daughter's stance; Nina was seated on her bed with her legs crossed and her body propped up by her hands on the bed. At the moment, Nina Lovell looked like the little impatient child that had to wait for her mother to stop prancing around her room because she was leaving her at Melrose Academy for the first time alone.

Mirella sighed.

It's been a long time since Nina had been that girl and it still felt like that day every single time.

"Fine, fine...I'm leaving," she said, holding up her hands in surrender. Nina grinned and stood, ready to walk her mother to the door. When she stood, a small childish part of her squealed in delight. At some point, Nina became just a few centimeters taller than her mother and she revelled in that revelation. However, just as they began walking into the common area of the suite she was sharing with her other roommates that she had not been able to see, Mirella turned back around and Nina placed impatient hands on her hips. If her mother could pout, the woman would probably be doing so. "I know, but I just...are you sure you don't need anything? Maybe new curtains? Oooh...we can go get that rug - "

"Mom, we literally bought out IKEA this year because you wanted to get everything new," Nina reminded her, taking in her bedroom. She was happy that she got to have everything to herself save for the bathroom, kitchen and living room. Having a bedroom was like achieving near Nirvana; you didn't get there, but you damn sure feel like you were close enough. "I have snacks that could last me the rest of the semester, I like my room, I have my laptop, I have my TV, and I am going to be fine. I'll be even better when you leave." Nina gave her a mom a pointed look and Mirella sighed, defeated. The two women walked out of the room and then out of the suite, arms linked.

Do not get Nina wrong; she loved her mom a lot and she understood where the woman was coming from. Nina had gotten sick during their trip to Montpellier this summer and the woman nearly flew into an anxiety attack. Since then, she had been watching Nina like a hawk. If Nina complained about the smallest of headaches, she was suddenly being whisked away to the hospital. Nina could recall accidentally hitting her arm against a door. It was no secret that Nina bruised easily. Did that stop Mirella from rushing her to the hospital? No. Even when the doctor told her that everything was alright - that it would be rare for her to develop her cancer again during this age range, especially after having made an astounding recovery. But Mirella was steadfast in her desire to watch out for her daughter. Having to separate was probably a pain.

Just as they reached the parking lot, Mirella began listing off all the things she wanted Nina to do and the brunette smirked.

"And call you on Wednesdays after seven because you have choir rehearsal at four-thirty and bible study at six," Nina finished for her and placed her hands on Mirella's shoulders. "Mama, I am going to be fine. If I get the first symptom of anything, I will be in the nurse's office. Pinky swear." Nina even held up her pinky to the older woman and after a moment, Mirella smiled sheepishly and linked their pinkies before pressing her forehead against her daughter's. Nina closed her eyes, smiling.

"Mī thōḍē ēka, āpaṇa prēma," she whispered and pulled away slowly, a bright smile on her face and tears glistening in her eyes.

"Love you too, Mom," Nina replied and watched her mother get in the car. She folded her arms over her chest and walked to the driver's side. "You drive safely. Tell Paṇajī āṇi ājōbā that I love them and I'll call." Her mother nodded and before long, Nina was watching the tail end of her mother's Ford driving off, leaving Nina alone in the parking lot. With nothing to do, Nina straightened out the skirt of her outfit before deciding to text Carmen and find out if she was on campus yet.

"Dad, I'm fine. Just finished settling in is all," Mason said as he pretty much hurled his suitcase on his bed. Sighing at the task as this was the second suitcase he brought up to his room - second to the trunk of belongings he also had - Mason plopped himself behind the big bag.

Like always, James Lockwood could not come to Melrose Academy or even LA to see his son off. It wasn't that Mason wasn't used to this. Since the incident-that-shall-not-be-named, his father had not been able to look at him the same without some ounce of pity or guilt in his eyes. There was the time with Amber last year and that entire debacle, but other than that, Mason hardly saw his father unless he had somehow gotten into serious trouble. In truth, Uncle Charlie was probably the only real father figure Mason had in his life and normally, that was fine. But, somewhere in the back of his mind where he would deny this vehemently while looking just like the little boy that loved being swung around in his father's arms, he had actually hoped that today would be different.

It wasn't.

Really shouldn't have expected anything more.

"Yes, Uncle Charlie is helping me," Mason answered, almost missing his father's inquiry. Agitation was very much clear in his voice and at some point, Mason didn't care if his roommate - whoever that was - heard. It wasn't like privacy was going to be much anyway; it never was in double rooms. "Yeah, I checked my account. Thanks." At least, that was something Mason could always count on. Money. As sad as it was, that was the one thing his father provided without fail. After a few more moments of meaningless and awkward chatter, Mason bid his father adieu and pretty much threw his phone on the bed. Sighing once more, he layed back and sprawled out, staring at the ceiling.

This was going to be a long year.

Once more, Carmen receives a message from her phone, making the girl wonder why she keeps putting it back in her pocket. She has to angle herself slightly to pull out her phone, but is rewarded with a message from Kass, who had apparently seen Carmen overreacting to her toestubbing incident in the hallways. The blonde smiles at the text, though she wonders why Kass would be worried about bothering her. They are friends, after all, so there is no real need for such concerns. Well, not in Carmen's mind, anyway, but she's always bordered on the sort of overly friendly that can either be endearing or a bit on the annoying side, depending on the personality of whoever it is that she's speaking with, or trying to get to speak.

To: Kass
You're never a bother, Kass :-) Everything is under control, thanks to my favorite Nurse Nina. We're in the cafeteria right now, actually- where are you?

The girl is admittedly pleased to find that everyone has arrived by now, or at least almost everyone, given that she hasn't received any word from Lucas, Lexus, or Clara. Scratch that, I saw Clara in the hallway. Where has she gone off to? I guess her room, Carmen corrects her train of thought, but it has gotten her thinking on those whom she has yet to see. Maybe the former two haven't arrived yet? She decides to send out a text to them, as well as Clara.

TO: Lexus, Luca
Are you on campus yet?

To: Clara
Saw you in the hallway- who is your roommate? Feel like coming down to the cafe?

She nearly makes the mistake of putting her phone away for the second time, but it buzzes before she can do such a thing, and so the girl checks and sees that it is a text from Cassie. She begins to type out a response, likely a very lame one, but stops halfway through the task when she sees Cassie walking towards them.

"And good afternoon to you," Carmen responds, making a bit of a face as she does it, the sort where her nose scrunches up and her mouth puckers, as though she's just eaten a lemon or something sour. There is no actual meaning behind the face, as is the case with many of her various expressions. She just likes making faces- probably due to playing with her younger brother, who is a big fan of funny faces, especially Carmen's. She occasionally forgets that not everyone is so enthusiastic about them, though they have made some people crack a smile during lessons, at the very least.

Theo flicks some ash off of his cigarettes, and leaves it dangling between his fingers while he pulls out his phone, suddenly craving social interaction. Of course, an excellent solution would be to return to his dorm and continue talking to his new roommate, Mason. And, more likely than not, he will end up doing that in a few moments. Still, he also wants to see if one of his friends is in the area yet. Besides Carmen, that is, because she seems to be currently occupied with other things, or had been a few moments ago.

To: Clara, Marley
Hey- how's it going? On campus yet?

He doesn't know that Clara is, as he hasn't seen her, and there is no evidence as to whether Marley has arrived back at the school quite yet. Thus, he has only to wait. That is, until he hears the familiar voice of one of the teachers, and immediately drops his cigarette onto the pavement, digging into it with his shoe before making his way back to his dorm. Bathroom first, actually, so he can get rid of the cigarette scent with a good amount of handsoap, and a few breath mints. Then, the dorm.

---

"And, I'm back. So, what part of England are you from? Based on the accent, I mean. My grandparents are from the UK, as well," he says, making half-decent conversation, likely. There may be a slight lingering scent of cigarettes on him, but he's gained a few tricks for hiding it, besides just mints and scented soaps, so its unlikely. Or so he hopes, anyway.
