Offering up a somewhat hesitant smile in response, Gale stepped forward slightly to take the offered hand a bit gingerly to shake. "Hi," he responded, glancing over his new roommate. He looked nice enough, and seemed vaguely familiar, but that was easily explained away by the fact that he avoided just about everyone in school, and did his best not to be noticed. Gaze dropping, he shifted backwards to settle on his bed. "Gale," he continued as the other boy told him his name. Again, his lower lip was drawn into his mouth to be gnawed at while he absently fiddled with one of the tags attached to his bags. Why did they have to have roommates? He didn't want to come across as rude as he so often did, but no ideas of what to say popped into his head as they might have with other people, leaving his answers in their simplest form.
