Jay woke up again at around noon. Sonny and Gale seemed to have gone. Jay yawned and looked over at Turtle. "Hey, did ya see where those two went?" She question, her head still down on the pillow and her eyes only half open.

Looking through the opening in the trees like he did before, Sonny saw the chair lifts in the distance, and had a better view this time since there was no snow blocking everything. Walking further on through the woods, he almost laughed.
"I'm kind of expecting some guy to come out of nowhere with a chainsaw..but that's just me," he said. He's really been watching too many movies lately. He was going to have to check out the DVDs that were stored next to the T.V in the living room when they got back to the lodge.

Tilting his head back to stare up into the snowy branches above, Gale grinned "Does seem reminescent of a horror movie set," he mused agreeably, seeming unfazed by the prospect. Funny how horror movies often failed to frighten him, whereas other things that others wouldn't care about frightened him terribly.

"Well, after seeing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I am NEVER going to Texas, that's for sure. And don't call me crazy, either, I tell you, Leather Face is there waiting to kill us all," Sonny warned, plopping down into a pile of snow and blowing strands of hair out of his face. He looked at Akoni, who was still running around and rolling in the snow, and smiled at the cute picture.

Chuckling, Gale flopped down next to Sonny, the snowdrift conforming into a comfortable seat as he sank into the powder. "Never seen it, but its a bit warm for my taste down there," he replied, settling into a somewhat stretched out position. Scraping some of the snow together in a hand, he packed it lightly into a ball and tossed it over Akoni's head, sending the pup into hysterics as he pounced energetically at the now crumbled snowball, attempting to find it in the midst of the snow.

"I'm a movie fanatic. Don't tell anyone this, but I went to see X-Men in theaters like seven times. Totally a classic. Titanic? Saw it AT LEAST a hundred times..I still hate the bitch for letting go.." Sonny shook his head, then gazed over at Gale, playfully bumping his shoulder much like he did to him.
"Yeah, I kind of have no life, or so people say," he blushed.

Gale grinned at Sonny "Seen X-Men; can't say the same for Titanic," he admitted, a bit sheepishly. He did like movies, but Lila had an obsession with several, and tended to demand they watch them when they had the time for a movie. As a result, he missed seeing many of the more popular movies in favor for watching Air Bud or 101 Dalmations again, and again, and again. It was a good thing he didn't really mind them.
He continued to smile as they bumped shoulders and shrugged "I don't have much of one either."

"Oh my God, we are watching Titanic. Like, as soon as possible," Sonny declared, taking Gale's hand and intertwining his finger's through his.
"Oh, come on, I bet I'm worse. Look how much free time I have messing with my hair, when I could be 'studying'...or at least that's what my parents say," he shrugged.

Gale laughed "No arguments here," he replied with a nod, shifting his hand slightly to curl his own fingers around Sonny's as well.
"I don't do much at all," he continued easily, still relaxed back against the cushioning of snow supporting him, and tossed another snowball for Akoni to charge after. It was true; he spent much of his time at home curled up on the couch or on his bed reading, sketching, or watching TV, with the occasional foray outside to snowshoe or go for a walk.

"My problem is that the only time I have real fun is when I'm causing trouble. Like the one time that Derrik and I got chased by the Mall cops because we took a golf cart on a little joy ride...don't even ask me where we got it from," Sonny laughed, remembering how they managed to escape through Dick's Sporting Goods and not get caught by the law.
"Yeah, every time we want to look cool, we tell people we did time. Little do they know, we mean time at the mall jail...I'm telling you, those mother f--I mean cops, are harsh..."

Gale chuckled at the mental picture, letting out a huff of breath to dislodge a particularly large snowflake from the tip of his nose, only to wrinkle his nose as several more settled on him.
"They do have their uses though," he reasoned, breath dispelling some more of the frozen flakes that had landed on him. "Of coure, I've never been on their bad side before," he mused, before laughing, blinking snow off of his eyelashes to peer at Sonny.

"Trust me, you don't want to be," Sonny shook his head. "Oh, the stories I could tell you."
Sonny still couldn't fathom why adults had to be such buzzkills. It's not like they could hurt anyone with what him and his friends--wait, yes he could. In other words, to him, life was a party. Why sit around and follow what everyone else does? Getting up, he ran over to Akoni, who met him halfway, and picked him up, snuggling the puppy close. "You smell like December, Akoni. Such a cutie," he said to the pup, who blinked at him sleepily. "Look at your little angel face. If only you could see it!" Sonny sighed.

Gale laughed, flopping back in a puff of snow to roll over onto his stomach and grin at Sonny for a few moments, before the snow began to melt underneath him and he pushed himself up before it could begin to soak through. Brushing a few clinging flakes absently, he got up as Sonny scooped up Akoni, shaking a foot as snow found its way into his boot. Stepping away from the drift they had been sitting in, he followed after Sonny to look over his shoulder at Akoni, smiling at the puppy's expression. "Mirror?" he suggested good humoredly "That's if he stays awake." He continued to smile as the pup yawned, resting his cin on Sonny's shoulder as he peered down at the dog.

"Just wait until he grows up. Lady killer right here, Gale," Sonny said. He remembered once when he had to watch his friend Garrett's dog, a Chocolate Lab by the name of Timber. Taking Timber on walks ended up attracting all sorts of girls to him, he recalled how they all asked him the dog's name and how long he's had it. Sonny, being his normal, childish self, told them all that it was his dog alright, and that he trained it himself. The attention was nice, and even if he did lie, it's not like he was ever going to have any deep connections with any of the girls who wondered his way.
Trying not to laugh at the memory, he looked back at the pup in his arms, who was struggling to stay awake. Making his way back to the lodge and walking in through the back door, he went to the living room, where he set Akoni down on the fuzzy carpet in front of the fireplace. "...Do they really expect any of us to know how to light a damn fire?" he mumbled to himself, taking his coat off and tossing it on one of the couches.

Chuckling, Gale reached over to scratch under Akoni's chin as Sonny spoke, the puppy staring up at him with a look of bliss. Smiling, he trailed silently after Sonny as they reentered the lodge. He could tolerate the cold pretty well, but the breeze had whipped up a windchill that had been slowly getting to him. Shedding his coat as well, he dropped down onto the floor next to Akoni and smiled as the puppy immediately snuggled into his side, cold nose pressed into the crook of his neck.
He made a noise of agreement as Sonny spoke again, refraining from nodding to avoid disturbing the sleepy pup "Maybe one of the others?" he mused. His family had a fireplace, but it was a gas one, able to be turned on at the flick of a switch, while still looking nice and goving off a good amount of heat.

"I sure as hell can't. I don't trust myself with matches," Sonny shrugged, then jumped on one of the couches, laying down in an awkward position. "This is just cozy," he said sarcastically. He then remembered that his parents were supposed to text him by now to see how he was doing, it's not like they completely forgot about him.
"Hey Gale, would you mind checking my phone and seeing if my rentals texted me? If they did, just reply 'Yeah Yeah Yeah, I'm fine.' That's what I say to everything," he said. He really hoped that no new messages from Emily were creeping around in his phone, but he knew there were a couple from her that he didn't check.
