(Goodness you guys post fast. I'll try my best to keep up. :))

Cody was near the point of drooling when he saw the half-prepared plates of food. The pancakes looked heavenly, and bacon was one of Cody's favorite foods. "That looks delicious," he said with a smile. He walked around the counter into the kitchen, picking up a spatula. He flipped the scrambling eggs around while she worked on the bacon, anxious to help her get this meal done faster. "Turtle. That's a cute name," he admitted. A cute name for a cute girl, he thought. "I'm Cody. I don't think we've met before," he noted, though it was obvious.

Turtle blushed, and flipped some more bacon, taking a piece, that was already done. "No, we haven't." Turtle smiled up at him. He was taller than her by a few inches, not that she minded. She took a bit out of the bacon, loving the greasiness, chewiness, and the crunchiness. It's like heaven! No lie, Turtle loved bacon.

Cody grinned at the faint color that reddened Turtle's cheeks. "That's okay. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things to do. You look familiar though," he looked at her with questioning eyes, trying to remember where he'd seen her face before. "Were you in track sophomore year, by any chance?"

While he waited for an answer, he decided he couldn't help himself anymore. He went on to say, "I'm starving. I hope you don't mind if I get a head start on everyone." With that, he picked up a plate and fork. Leaning against the counter and practically diving into his food, he watched her continue to cook while she answered.

Gale didn't move away as Sonny sat down next to him, not confident enough to consider shifting closer. He nodded silently, not entirely sure what to say, and pretty sure he wouldn't be able to verbalize what he felt. In a spark of thought, he plucked his own phone from his bed, scrolling through the messages. He paused on one from his father, before tilting it so Sonny could see the sentences rambling about how it wasn't Gale's fault he was sick with such a 'disgusting disease', and how even if Gale's mother didn't agree he wouldn't stop until he found a so-called cure.
Still though, he made a mental note to get him to meet his mom at some point; she had helped him so much in the fallout of him coming out to his family.

Sonny slightly moved closer to Gale to read the extended message, then made a face. "Oh...damn..."
He honestly had no idea what else to say. He wasn't used to dealing with parents, just with random strangers who decide to invade his privacy and speak for him. Kind of ironic, really. He looked at Gale for a long time, then sighed. "What disease is he talking about...if you don't mind me asking..?"

Turtle smirked at him, and shook her head. "No, I don't mind." Moving to the pancakes, she took one off, placing it on the plate. "Yeah, I was in track and volleyball, through the entire year. I'm not a big fan of basketball, but I do love watching football." Turtle went back to the eggs, flipping them, not wanting them to burn.

A slightly bitter smile crossed Gale's face "My orientation," he responded quietly, gaze focusing on his hands as if he had never seen them before. His smile became a bit more genuine as he continued "Mom divorced him the next month."
He was pretty sure his face was going to be permanently tinted pink by now; it was the first time he had ever really spoken about it. His mother had been there, after all, and his sister could just ask her if she had any questions.

Cody halted his high-speed feast in order to reply. "I was in track that year too. We should have talked more!" He said, giving a quick smile before returning to his food.

He looked around the place while enjoying his meal, and found that the building was very nice. There was a lot he had missed in his bee-line for the food. Fuzzy rugs made of fur, a fireplace with coals still hot from a fire that had burned the night before, leather couches... He already couldn't wait to walk in and crash on the couch after a long day of hardcore snowboarding. He wondered how many here would like snowboarding. Then he wondered, "How many people are here? It's awfully quiet for a senior get-away."

"What?! Thats so fucking stupid!" Sonny started to say, then he calmed down. "That's just insane. Its not a disease...whatever that means. You can't help who you like. God..."
This reminded Sonny of other people who have said the exact same thing to him. Whatever religious friends he had made quickly vanished when they found out the 'way he swings'. And he was sick of hearing the comments about going to hell and being saved. This is why he didn't pay much attention to religion anymore, let alone the people who followed it. He then looked at Gale again, and gently laid his hand on his shoulder. "As you told me, just ignore it. You can't change people."

Turtle chuckled. "I was expecting illegal drinking, but its really not anything like that. There's me, um, two guys, Gale and Sonny, and another girl, Jay." Nodding in conformation. She finished cooking grabbing her own, plate, piling it with food, then sat next to Cody.

Slight smile completely genuine upon Sonny's outburst, Gale relaxed underneath his roommate's hand. It felt nice to have someone other than his family understand. The nod he gave in response seemed...lacking to him, but it was the only way he knew to express something more than just a thanks.
Now that his mind was on the subject, he really hoped his father wouldn't turn to religion; the last thing he needed was the next time his father decided on a pilgrimage up here was an attempted exorcism.

After a few moments, Sonny took his hand off of Gale's shoulder, not wanting to make him feel apprehensive. Outside, the snow started to fall harder, but not as turbulent as it was the night before. He didn't know whether or not he should get up off of Gale's bed, but decided against it. Instead, he looked around the room, not knowing what else to say. Then he remembered the game they were playing.
"Your turn to ask me something," he said softly.

Pushing down the sense of disappointment that welled up when Sonny's hand vanished, Gale glanced over at the window, watching the snow as he thought. Propping his arms behind him, he leaned back slightly against them "Ever snowshoed?" he chose at random- voice just as soft as Sonny's- sorting through his own hobbies for inspiration.

"Nahh, how is it?" Sonny responded to Gale's question. He was dying to just scoot closer to him, to maybe take his hand or gently stroke his hair, but he knew that he couldn't allow himself to do that. He pushed the thought into the back of his mind, right next to his migraine, that still hasn't completely diminished. If only he could ask Gale...no, that wouldn't make sense.

Turtle stabbed her eggs with a fork and shoved it in her mouth. "So...how's the food? Great? Bad? Horrid? Flippin awesome? Answer wisely!" She thought her food was like, the best, but it is her food. So it has to be awesome to her.

Gale settled for "Calming," a corner of his lips twitching in amusement as he recalled a time his sister had snuck off with his pair of 'shoes- which had been as big as she was at the time- and tried to use them. Their mother had promptly run for the video camera while Gale had gone outside to make sure she didn't hurt herself.
Sonny looked a bit pensive for a few moments, but while a bit curious, Gale didn't really react, focusing instead on coming up with another question. Thankfully, he seemed to be getting better at it. "Siblings?"

((Yeah, I'm gonna head to bed too~))

"Nope. My mom wanted more children, but my dad was dead set against it. He said one trouble maker was enough," Sonny sighed, then laughed. He somehow always had managed to get on his dad's bad side, from the time he was little. He remembered the time when he was 5 and had knocked over his Dad's prized baseball collection glass box. Oh, how angry he had been, but he didn't raise his voice. His mother had always managed to calm him down with the words 'Oh, he's just a kid,' or 'He will grow out of this stage somday."
But Sonny never grew out of the 'clutz' stage. In fact, it got worse over the years, from dropping his laptop down the stairs to dropping his iPhone in the toilet God knows how many times. He was on his 7th one, after all. Snapping out of his memories, he then looked at Gale, and smirked. "What is the stupidest thing you have ever done? If stupider is even a word...yeah, whatever, its a word." he waved himself off, stopping his babbling.

Jay awoke to the smell of food and loud talking. She rolled over, not wanting to wake up, but was forced to seeing as the talking didn't stop. Grabbing her baggy sweater and slippers, Jay shuffled out into the kitchen. "Aloha kakahiaka ((good morning))," she said sleepily. She yawned and looked up, seeing another boy there, Cody, she remembered. "Hey Cody!" she said cheerfully, giving him a hug as she had with everyone else, before going back to her tired state. She looked around, rubbing an eye. "Coffee?" she said, almost wanting to go back to bed, but stopped herself before it happened.

"Decided to explore past our backyard in Oregon; was lost for five hours," Gale responded, smile turning into a slight grin as Sonny cut himself off. He had been eight; Lila still too young to play with, when he saw a doe and her fawn run into the forest. Curiosity piqued, he had headed back inside to grab a compass he didn't know how to use and a bottle of water, and let his parents assume he was going to play in the yard. By the time they realized he wasn't in the yard he was already in the forest, following what he had thought were deer tracks.
"Longest you've spent doing one thing?" he asked, recalling the several time while younger he had decided he liked something, be it a book or an animal, and focused on it with a one-minded determination.

OOC: Hey, I know the topic has changed already haha but I just wanted to say, the majority of Christians don't bash on gay kids. I've been in the church my whole life and have never met anyone like that. :) The extremists give us a bad name!

Cody nodded as Turtle listed off names, happy to hear that he recognized a few of them. He ate in silence, half of his food nearly gone already, when she asked how the food was. "Oh," he piped up, excited, "absolutely fantastic. Best breakfast I've eaten in a long time." He winked and gave a smile. Another girl entered the room, giving a quiet sentence he assumed to be "good morning". Jay looked tired, but Cody didn't say anything about it. He was sure he still looked as though he'd just woken up. The food was taking away his grogginess, though. He opened his arms wide and took Jay in for a hug, then released her. He picked up his food and began to finish it off. "Wassup, Jay? It's been a while! Do you know Turtle?"

Turtle blushed at Cody's wink, and answered the question he asked. "We know each other." Turtle flashed a smile at Jay, and yawned. "My God, I feel even more tired now. The excitement of a new guy doesn't last long, apparently." She turned to Cody. "No offense." She smirked, looking at her empty plate.

"Is it bad I'm still hungry?" She asked herself, aloud.

"Just hangin' 'round. 'Course I know Turtle," Jay said with a small laugh and then went back to making coffee for the entire group. They could have it if they wanted, or not. When Turtle began to talk about still being hungry, Jay turned back to her leaned over the counter across from the two. "Loco moco, anyone?" she said laughing. This was a dish that she had almost every morning and she loved it. However, there were many people that actually hated the Hawaiian breakfast that consisted of rice, a hamburger patty, gravy, and a fried egg in a bowl. While waiting for their answers, Jay began to take out the necessary ingredients with slow movements, humming a bit of reggae as she did.

As soon as Cody had finished his pancakes, eggs, and bacon, Jay was offering some other kind of food he'd never heard of. He wasn't starving like he was before, but he could still eat. "I'll have some! What is it?" He let the water from the faucet run other the tiny bits of food left on his plate, and let them fall down the sink drain before placing it neatly in the dishwasher embedded in one of the counters. His backpack and suitcase near the front door caught his peripheral vision, and then he sighed. "Guess I better get that," he muttered before speaking up, "I'll be right back."

Cody collected his luggage and began walking down the hallway. He found the last door cracked and barged in, assuming if it was open it must be free. He found two men sitting on the beds, and he immediately felt like he had interrupted something. "Err, I guess the room next door is mine then," he laughed softly. "Me and the girls are eating in the kitchen if you two are hungry," he pointed a thumb back in the direction of the kitchen, then entered the room next door. It had two beds in it as well, but it seemed like Cody was the only one who would be in the room. He tossed his luggage onto the floor near the left bed, fixed his hair in the mirror so that his bright red bangs wouldn't be so mixed in with the blond, and then returned to the kitchen. He looked in the fridge and smiled when he found what he was looking for: "Anyone want some OJ?" He offered.

(Sorry, I'm using OOC a lot lol. Just so everyone knows, I'm babysitting tonight and have to leave in about an hour... It'll be until around 9 or so and then I'll be back and will check in again. :))

"Hell, yea I do!" Turtle grabbed an empty glass. She tried pumping her hair, but it refused. "Never mind. I'm gonna go get ready first." She put the glass up and strutted out of the room, heading to the bathroom. She stripped out of her clothes, turned on the water and hopped in the shower.

Sonny was about to respond when he saw the guy enter their room, and then walk right back out before he had a chance to say something. "Nice to meet you, too, dude!" he yelled towards the door, then turned back to Gale. He though about how he should respond to the question, then sighed.
"Does a relationship count...? My longest time in one was for 7 months..." he said, then swallowed down a feeling of nostalgia and brief sadness. Emily had been his first and only girlfriend, a girl who he thought would be in his life forever. He recalled the times that they would go down to the library together and run through the bookshelves, making noises and knocking Dictionaries over, then sneaking off to make out somewhere where no one could find them.
He would never forget the day she left him. The way her chestnut-colored hair had been braided back past her shoulders, the blue sundress she wore, her big, hazel eyes unforgiving and quite frankly, bored. The silver locket which he had given her was still hugging her neck, slightly raised on her fragile collar bones. 4 simple words, 'I'm sorry, we're done," were enough to make his whole life spiral under control. The 4 words were his downfall. And thats when the rumors started.
"Yeah...it shouldn't count for shit. Anyways, my turn to ask you. What do you look for in a relationship."
