Example post: Aduhi stretched her arms out contently and sat up on the roof of Kaede's house, it had been a long, and not to mention boring day. Nothing ever happened these days! She slid off her blue jacket and shivered as the fur lining of the hood tickled her bare arms. Her corset-like black tanktop was much cooler under the summer sun. Her beige shorts also felt rather nice and for once she wasn't walking around, exploring on her bare feet. She always hated shoes, they made walking so much more difficult. She went to jump down but was drug back, her leash got caught on part of the roof, God she had to get a better weapon. It would be far to easy for a stronger demon to capture her with such a thing tied to her neck, but no one normally fought the young Feline Youkai. She called herself a demon, but she was only a half demon, had she been separated from her callor, she'd go on a rampage and would be impossible to calm down by any other means than her callor and leash.

She freed her leash and jumped from the roof, wondering if she should be off on another journey again, she was mainly looking for strength, a way to find her mother, but everything seemed hopeless. She recieved a shikon jewel, but she never told anyone, it resided within her left wrist and she normally kept herself away from anyone who could probably sense it, meaning she'd have to leave Kaede's house soon probably. She knew she'd have to so she bounded off, on her way again, headed towards the exit and/or enterance to the village. Once a decent distance from Kaede's house, she began walking in much calmer strides than her previous sprint. She remained silent, not waving or even glancing at anyone whom passed, they were only humans afterall.

Kai had been walking for quite some time now and was beginning to wonder if the other wander he had met was right about a village up ahead. However he had nowhere else to go so he continued down the road. As he spends the next half hour walking until he reaches the top of a hill. Looking down he sees the village that the traveler had told him about. So perseverance is a virtue, he thinks.

Looking over the village he notices how it seams to team with life. He is pleased to note that the villagers are so vibrant because it means that they are content with their lives. He also notices a young woman on the roof of one of the houses. He thinks that she must be trying to avoid work, and who can blame her doing chores is a drag. Kai then stretches and walks toward the village entrance. As he approaches he wonders if any one in the village would know what has thrown off the balance of the world.

Once he gets through the gates he immediately has to doge stones being thrown by some of the younger children. They are children it is not like they understand what they are doing so I will have to end this without hurting them, he thinks. Suddenly he turns to face them and throws his hands out. A thin wall of ice forms which stops the stones before collapsing. The leader of the children stutters out, "hes a monster. (he turns to the other kids) Run before he eats you." The kids take of running down the street.

Aduhi turned her head as she saw children rush by her, her cat ears perked up in curiousity, but she tried to hide it. She let out a sigh and without hesitation grabbed the last child by the callor, dragging them back to face her effortlessly, "Look kid, if you want your stomach where it belongs and not down your throat, tell me what you saw." she threatened, her dark blue eyes sternly viewing the child as one side in her mouth twisted into an evil smirk, an act obviously, but such an act that a child would fall for.

"M-m-monster!" the child spat, Aduhi let go and within a split second, the young human child bounded off. She removed her leash as spikes drew out of the wire and she then ran in the direction she was running from. Her speed was quite quick, thanks to the jewel shards in her legs, she was much faster than even a pure cat demon. Aduhi looked around, glancing for anything suspicious and stopped when she seen an unfamiliar face, well that was until she glanced, taking a double take.

"Oh..he's the guy that passed by earlier..." she mumbled to herself, not caring if anyone in particular had heard her barely audiable notion, "Hey what scared those kids, I was summoned by Kaede to protect the village while she was away, so what gives." she inquired, holding the spiked whip/leash over her shoulder, her jacket tied around her waist now, "I'd like to talk, I'd rather not bloody my hands, but if you're looking for a fight, I'll happily oblige.." she added in a lazy tone, much too rude and outspoken to be human, also she had a tail and cat ears to further prove she was far from being a mere human.

Sakura continued walking until she reached the cute little village in the middle of no where, though it held great esteem. Her auburn hair flared out behind her, accenting her figure of power even from a distance. Sakura's mokomoko took form of a half-skirt, looking like a train for a wedding dress, except that it was furry, though several shades lighter than her hair. Thank goodness her scythe was hidden beneath it's folds as she approached a neko and a traveller amiably. This would be fun. "Greetings. I heard there was some sort of monster or demon down the road. Are the rumors true? Are we all in danger?" Her mood seemed to lift as she neared civilisation, and the Lady of the East did her best to be friendly. No children were to be seen. "The little child who warned me said it was powerful, perhaps even one of the Royalty. Though she may have been exaggerating, I do wonder if Sesshomaru or one of his like are coming to such a small town." A small smile stayed on her face, nothing bigger being possible for a lonely Lady.

Wait-only just now had her frightened brood entered, screaming about a lady youkai who would eat them in their sleep. If this was her batch, who was the other? Perhaps the traveller, she surmised. The young girls ran about in a panic, none of them recognizing her as they told their parents about the looming terror.

Aduhi looked at the young woman, instantly recognizing she was a taiyoukai. Aduhi shivered a bit, she only had met lesser demons, nothing of this woman's stature and power. She untied her jacket from her small waist and quickly put it back on. She preformed a small bow before going to speak, "Well, Miss, I was summoned here by miss Kaede to protect the village.." Aduhi replied softly, holding up a sheet of paper declaring her summons, "I was inquiring whom this man was right before you approached." Aduhi's nose crinkled in displeasure from her formalities, but she'd rather not start a fight unless she certainly had to, "I was making my leave, actually." she added before buckling her leash on her callor.

"Sesshomaru..? The son of the Great Dog-Demon?" Aduhi asked in a fairly shocked tone, "Why would he come here to Kaede's small village..?" Aduhi had only heard of him in children's stories that they told to one another and in tale's men from war came back to boast about to other adults, but she knew of his power. She wondered if she should cut the meeting short, she had four Shikon jewels, she couldn't risk endangering the village much longer.

Kai was a bit irritated at the half-demons disrespectful attitude towards him. However he was stunned by the approach of the other demon. Only a fool could fail to note that she was nobility, and he is pleased that the half-demon has the sense to be respectful of her. However he does not like being outflanked especially by women, so he backs up until his back is the wall of a near by house.

"Sesshomaru. Ah, lord dog for brains, if he where terrorizing the village they would already be dead," He says. "No the one who scared the children off was me by doing this." He raise a second thin wall of ice between the two women. "As you can see it would be a sad error in judgment to mistake me for a mortal. (turning to face the half-demon) Who I am is of no concern to you, half-demon. (resuming addressing both) The reason I am here is to find what ever object is pulling at my soul. That and to see if anyone knows why the balance has been broken." Kai then places his hand on the hilt of his sword and continues, "I have no time to waste fighting you, but if I must I will."

Aduhi glared at the man before her, getting irritated herself with his words. Her ears somewhat flared and her nose crinkled in distaste, "Look, I am only doing my job, if you have something against my methods, speak to Miss Kaede, she's the one who made me come, she's a scary old woman." Aduhi said with a bitter tone, Kaede had to threatened her just to get Aduhi to the small village in the first place.

"Terrorizing? I've never heard such a tale about Lord Sesshomaru." Aduhi replied with a raised eyebrow, unable to shake off her uneasy intuition about the male before her, "I apologize for my rude interuption of your travels, but I automatically assumed you were here to slay Lady Kaede or steal something. The children were also in an uproar so I had to investig-" Aduhi paused at his addression to her, "D**m it! Don't call me that!" her temper instantly peaking at the word 'half', "It's not like I had a choice in the matter! Maybe its the Shikon Jewel fragments, they've been scattered everywhere these days.." Aduhi said, trying to hide her nervous expression. She herself had four shards in her posession and did not by any means feel like having them apprehended from her.

As Kai listens to the half-demons words his temper flairs. He gives her an icy glare and shouts, "me a murderer of old women, a petty thief, I have never me more insulted in all 500 years of my life!" As he says this the temperature in the air around them begins to drop rapidly, and the ground at his feet that begins to freeze. "Don't you think that if I was here to kill someone or to take something by force, I would have already done it," he continues. Claiming a little he continues, "Well at least you have the honor to do your duty." He pauses and takes a deep breath. "You should be proud of what you are half-demon, there is no shame in being what you are." When she mentions the Shikon Jewel's fragments, he notices that she is trying to hide something. What is she hiding, wait could it mean that she has one of the Shikon shards, he thinks. "You," he says to the half-demon his eyes narrowing. He leaps into motion and grabs the half-demon's shoulders. "You have at least one don't you, I was to worked up to notice before, but my soul is being tugged in your direction. Be honest with me it is very important for me to know. The balance of the world is at stake."

Aduhi blinked at the man with a little disbelief, "I made the assumptions BEFORE I met you, please calm down! If I thought you were a mere thief I would have approached you much differently." Aduhi said, her voice was weary, most likely from lack of sleep, "My judgement is been slightly off anyway, it's hard not to be on edge when shards are showing up everywhere these days.." she said with a small grin, "Not really.. humans hate me for being part demon, and most demons hate me for being part human, so there's no particularly decent perks to the position, that I can gather at least." Aduhi replied sternly.

"I'd rather just be a human or just a demon. To answer your question, yes I do, but I'm not misusing them. I use mine as Lord Koga uses his, for speed and nothing more." Aduhi replied softly, "There the only thing i can find myself willing to selfishly fight over." she said, keeping her space from the Lady of the East and the Male before her, just in case she needed to make a quick exit. She had no plans to give up her shards. "I will part with them one day, just not at the moment.."

Kai takes a deep breath and looks at the half-demon. "Don't lie to me," he says, "it will only make me angry, and when I get angry...um bad things happen. I know you have no intention of giving up the shards, so don't pretend you will." He shakes his head. "What do you mean there are no perks to being what you are? Did not this Kaede woman request your help? But you are telling me you are blinded to your own worth by what ignorant have to say about you. I say what do their opinions matter." Kai smiles brightly and continues, "Look at me an ice demon giving a half-demon a lecture on self worth. In end all you need to have is the drive, the passion to see the next day, and that makes what you are unimportant."

Aduhi frowned in discontent, "I wasn't lying technically, I don't intend to give them up yet, but I know I will have to someday.." she whispered, a bit irritated that he saw through her small deception so easily. She wasn't sure why he was telling her all of that, it made her feel a little better, but it was hard to change a thought that had been ironed into your conscious and subconscious for over thirty years. She listened quietly before she gathered the will to speak, for she was quite tired, "I see. I'll try to keep your beliefs in mind for the future. Anyway, Sesshomaru is coming here?"
