Introduction

JET SET RADIO : RUDIE REVOLUTION

Image

Based on SEGA's "Jet Set Radio" series, and the manga "Air Gear"

Somewhere in Asia, there is a city that cannot be found on any map called Tokyo-to, but everyone just calls it Tokyo. Tokyo-to was defined for the style, the liveliness. Not to mention the culture that keeps Tokyo structured.

What gives it the culture? Adolescents and peers alike. These groups of teenagers like to stroll around the city with inline roller skates and appearances out of this world. They define it as being deviant, or unique from the usual business crowd around Tokyo-to. Many of those teenagers want to display their use of culture by expressing their individuality through a use of paint. Spray paint that is, Tagging along every building, window, vehicle, and street so they can make their names heard, loud and proud. Many teenagers, however, have turned their use of graffiti into a means of controlling each territory in Tokyo-to, turning into a full-blown war against the gangs of teenagers.

Who plans on putting a stop to this? Tokyo-to's new brand of enforcements, and law abiding citizens. Recently, the mayor of Tokyo-to was forced out of office by the Rokakku Group. Upon his own decision, Rokakku Gouji ,the founder of the mega corporate enterprise Rokakku Group, elected himself the new mayor of Tokyo-to, and recruited a massive amount of his own watchdogs, or the Rokakku Police Force. The force was live and in action with regulations and rules at hand: tagging was a no no, inline skating....nuh uh and simply just looking as if you were apart of a gang, BIG NO NO! Whoever commits these acts will simply be thrown in jail with the rest of the filthy scumbags, young and old.

The Rokakku Group, however, are now discovering that they will have conflict with these colorful groups of teenagers, or “Rudies”, a name simply coined by Gouji as a means of displaying these children as “Rude”, or “Foul”, or just downright unmoral. These gangs of Tokyo-to feel there needs to be a change. These teenagers have an urge to stand up, and not back down. Fight against that corrupted enforcements. Some sort of rebellious act a. .a Revolution.

Will you fight to bring down this corrupt force or will you fall to their ways of a perfect society? Your choice.

Everyone's role in the RP is quite simple. You all play as the "Rudies" in this city overruled by the enforcements, but at the same time, ruled by opposing gangs of rudies as well. Each person is free to roam anywhere in the city, and work their own way, while either creating sub-plots, or being involved in them. Likely everyone will be together in a territory for a specific reason. Maybe a meeting, maybe a competition.

Each "rudie" has their share of customized in-line roller skates, operate by "netrium" batteries controlling a engine on the wheels that give its users a better push while using them. The more you lean forwards, the more acceleration the user gets, but you can't say that in-line skates, wheels, and graffiti are for free, especially the rollerskates. Abusing them, or more like abusing your speed, could cause you to damage your skates.

The rudies knowledge of the streets and any events come from their "gods" and/or "goddesses" of music, as each host will give you the rundown of any events happening in the city.
