Background
Lord Marmaduke Ba’al Nevin, Grand Commander of the Garlyle Forces, the feared and respected military regime serving the people of Elencia, has ordered a new, secret mission to the Dulcit Ruins to the west of Parm, a bustling fishing village on the shores of Old Elencia. At his side is his son, General Elroy Mullen Nevin, and the beautiful and mysterious Lieutenant Angelica Leen Dussault. Flying high above the world in the Discoverer, the flagship of the Garlyle Forces, the three gazed intently at the colorful outline of Parm as it came into view through the clouds. Soon, they would reach their destination and discover another missing piece of a curious puzzle left by the ancient civilization of Angelo.

The people of Parm are expecting this rare visit, and have prepared a glorious welcoming celebration and feast in their honor. The streets are decked with bright banners, colorful streamers, and bunches of fragrant flowers tied decoratively to signs and streetlamps. Merchants have set up shop along the main street, selling everything from perfumes and fragrant soaps to fresh baked bread and salt water taffies. Even the infamous son of the Head of New Parm’s Adventurers Guild, Solomon DuCombe, is present in town, selling coveted Adventurer’s Guild Membership’s and Adventurer’s Passes.

Little do the people of Parm know, however, that Lord Marmaduke Ba’al Nevin has a dark and terrible secret, a secret that would soon threaten the peace and safety of the people of Elencia.

Plot
Your character will become entwined in a magical journey of discovery across the continent of Elencia, where you will meet a colorful cast of characters, explore ancient ruins, battle fearsome beasts, discover lost treasures, and uncover the hidden agenda of the Garlyle Forces. The story begins with the welcoming of the military forces to the town of Parm, a bustling fishing village that serves as the center of commerce for Old Elencia. Your character will be present for the festivities, but will soon be caught up in an incredible journey to unveil the mysterious of an ancient civilization known as Angelo.

RULES - GENERAL

1. Grammar/Spelling/Word Choice: Please be reasonably proficient in English grammar, spelling, and word choice (e.g. knowing the difference between your and you're). This makes it easier for everyone in participation, and makes the story much more enjoyable to read.
2. Participation Requirements: Please be able to contribute to the story at least once a week. There is no expectation of daily posting.
3. Contribute to the Storyline: I expect everyone to participate in the creation and evolution of the story, which includes the generation of characters, places, and events. Just because you're not the creator doesn't mean you can't and shouldn't contribute.
4. Tolerance of Others: Be mindful and respectful of others, and don't you dare utter any hurtful or discriminatory comments. You will be immediately banned from my roleplay and reported to the Administrators. You won't even get a warning, so behave.

RULES - CHARACTERS

• Character Submission: You can submit existing characters from other roleplays, or create a new one. All will be subject to my approval. The world of Elencia is a magical place, but technology exists, as well. Almost any character can fit nicely into this setting.
• Background Restrictions: For simplicity's sake, all characters must hail from the "Old World" (i.e. the western side of the "End of the World"). You can be any gender and any race (within reason).
