{Hospitable -- Generous -- Adventurous -- Kind -- Imaginative -- Outgoing}
No matter who you ask, everyone will give you nearly the exact same answer if you ask them what Evangeline is like. The Cajun young woman is sweet enough to give you a cavity with her smile and the most thoughtful person within the buildings. She's always making time to make sure her friends are doing well and is more than willing to make them meals and snacks even if they don't ask for it. She's the one person that seems to know when everyone's birthday is and the one person that you can expect a gift from for birthdays and Christmas. She never seems to be in a bad mood, though that's simply because she doesn't like people worrying about her. She's a very loving and generous person, willing to give all the clothes off of her back in a heartbeat to anyone in need, even complete strangers. She's constantly being chastised by her boss for giving out large sums of money to panhandlers and bums, as he assures her than many of them are either drug addicts or not even really homeless. Still, she will give anyone who asks for it as much money as she can spare because she hates the idea of someone having to go without. She couldn't bear the thought of knowing that she did nothing to help when she knew someone was having trouble.
She's known to be an extremely imaginative young woman, always coming up with new, often fantastical ideas, for things. She seems to always have her head in the clouds as she imagines new adventures and ways to make them reality. She's not afraid to dive headlong into a new experience, always taking risks for the sake of the experience and being able to say that she never backed down. She's one to drag her friends along as well, pleading with them though never trying to force them. She's aware that not everyone has the same desire to push the limits that she possesses and she respects that. However, when it comes to people pushing her past her limits, she's less adventurous. When she becomes uncomfortable she is no longer the loud and funny girl that her friends know, but a clammed up mute. It is because of her inability to take care of herself when confronted by aggressive people that she fears being taken advantage of. There's not a mean bone in her body. She enjoys good pranks as much as any and everybody else but she could never bring herself to do or say something out of spite. Whenever she loses her cool with someone she will immediately apologize.
She is an intelligent young woman who's used to being on her own and having to take care of herself. While she's always been mature for her age, she's got an extremely goofy streak in her. There's no denying that she knows how to shake things up and have fun. She believes in working hard for what you want if you've got the capability. She also believes in lending a helping hand to those who need it. She's an enthusiastic person and tends to give her all to everything she does. She's often told to tone it down by those who cannot handle her ebullience. She's a lot more eloquent than people would think of such a peppy southern girl, her accent having her stereotyped by many as a yokel. (Bumpkin) Still, she's a talented young woman who isn't afraid to show it. She's excited to show her work to others and almost always talking about new projects and products she's working on.
The soft-hearted romantic is an all around good person to be around and a loyal friend. She's the type of person to hear both sides of a story first, knowing that there's always more than just one. She doesn't like to tell people when they're wrong so she always tries to sugarcoat things for them in hopes of sparing their feelings while trying to help.

From the first day of preschool to the last day of high school everyone will ask you every other day what you want to be when you grow up. Most people will be in a constant state of flux, always changing their answer. Not Evangeline. She knew what she wanted from day one; She was going to be an artist. Everyone in her family was. Evangeline hailed from New Orleans, Louisiana and came from a rather wealthy family that made their fortune through the use of their innate artistic abilities. She lived with her mother and grandmother -- as her father was hardly part of the picture. She had a pretty happy life and was generally allowed to roam free and do what she wanted. She didnβt have a lot of friends outside of her family; She was home-schooled by her grandmother so that she had more time in the day to hone her skills, often dancing until her feet blistered. She had all sorts of recitals and showcases, but all of the other artists were supposed to he viewed as competition. The prodigy's only friends outside of the Hanta family were people that her mother used to get her work into the public eye.
After Evangeline's grandmother died her mother took over the homeschooling. Her mother was a harsh taskmaster and disregarded Evangeline's wishes to pursue her artistic vision more through cinema and photography. She was nine years old when her uncle bought her a brand new camera after her mother had thrown out all of her other ones. When her mother found out that she had been hiding the camera, she tried to take it away from her but Evan wasn't giving it up. As they were wrestling with it at the top of the stairs she began to lose her grip on the camera before it finally escaped her grasp. Her mother fell backwards with the camera and took a tumble down two flights of stairs, breaking her neck in the process. After her mother's death, nobody on her mother's side of the family wanted to take her in and she had to choose between the father she hardly knew or foster care. Despite her father and half-brother being semi-illiterate backwoods idiots, she had to admit that she had fun while she was out there. And it was better than going to strangers. There was a lot of wildlife photograph and a lot of nature to experience. Plus nobody really got in her way and she wasn't woken up at the crack of dawn to dance until her ankle ankles were sore and paint until her fingers hurt. It certainly was a change of scenery, leaving behind the city of New Orleans and the beautiful Hanta estate to embrace a small cabin in the middle of bayou out past Ville Platte.
Everything was just fine at first β She attended public schools and got amazing marks in her class; she was 13 when she skipped from 8th-grade to 10th grade. Her school didn't have any art programs so she was forced to do a lot of self-studying, devoid of her previous resources. Major - her half-brother - was a bit of a dick to her. He was a typical jock type; total man-about-town, sports star, and heavy party boy. They fought a lot - mostly when he was drunk or high on something - but it was never anything serious. She was 11 when her father's fiancΓ©e died of a heart attack. Her father seemed to spiral from there, beginning to binge drink like there was no tomorrow. Evangeline began to help him by picking up the slack around the house, cooking and cleaning for herself, her father, and her brother. And then things began to get uncomfortable. Evangeline came home from swimming with her friends late at night and found her father sitting in the recliner surrounded by bottles of liquor. She grabbed a blanket to cover him up but he grabbed her by the wrist and set her in his lap. βYou're so beautiful, you know that. Right, Angel? My Angel. Just like your mother. Isi was so beautiful. You look just like her. I loved her, y'know. I love you too.β He stroked her hair and held her tight.
She didn't mind at first; Her father was a very affectionate type and this was something she had gotten used to. She told him that she was tired and going to bed and that he should rest too, but he asked her to sit with him for a while longer. After all he had set up and waited for her to come home so he could spend time with her. She seemed to catch an attitude; She was cold and soaking wet and tired and he smelled like he had gone swimming in an ocean of Jack and Morgan before taking a shower in Jim. He got angry when she gave a huffy sigh and tried to leave, bringing the back of his hand hard across her face.
The next four years were hell on her she struggled to finish school and get legally emancipated. She went home every day to her brother and father going to be physically, emotionally, and sexually abused. She almost didn't pass her senior year, but she did and still made Valedictorian. With a full ride scholarship and a letter of acceptance from San Francisco State University, the legally emancipated young teen gathered her things and hopped on the plane to California. When she had first received her letter of acceptance she began to look online for jobs and apartments. She soon moved into an apartment 1A and begin working part-time as a cook at the Mighty Bean. The landlord of her apartments agreed to cut the normal rent in half until she turned 18 because she was a college student. While she was in college, she put every bit of her heart and soul into studying and pursed double majors. The majority of her time was pushed into working with her tutors as the prodigy aimed to graduate early with her Masters in Arts and Fine Arts degrees.
She did well enough living on her own and soon took an apprenticeship to a local tattoo artist and for some time, she made quite a bit of extra money as a freelance tattoo artist. After she turned 18, she began to struggle with the full rent and put out an ad for a roommate. She enjoyed living off campus. Enter Anchal - The two were soon fast friends and their apartment began to quickly become a hub for the friends they made in the area as they offered more than frozen pizza for dinner. The next three years seemed to fly by and she soon finally had her M.A. in Cinema and an M.F.A. in Photography. She minored in Drama. After graduating early at the age of twenty-one, she began to take things slowly. She had more time to "do her", as they say. Spending more time with her friends. She was recently diagnosed with psoriasis though she hasn't told anybody except her closest friends; Anchal and Vivi.

Life Is a Highway β οΈ Rascal Flats
Life's like a road that you travel on
There's one day here and the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind
There's a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore where the brave are free and lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore
We won't hesitate
To break down the garden gate
There's not much time left today, yeah
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long
If you're going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
Through all these cities and all these towns
It's in my blood and all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road and these are the hands
From Mozambique to those Memphis nights
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights
Knock me down and back up again
You're in my blood, I'm not a lonely man
There's no load I can't hold
The road's so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in tell 'em we're survivors
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, yeah
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long (mmmm yeah)
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
There was a distance between you and I
(between you and I)
A misunderstanding once
But now, we look it in the eye
Ooooo...Yeah.
There ain't no load I can't hold
The road's so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in tell 'em we're survivors
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long (all night long, yeah hey)
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme some more
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme some more
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
All night long
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme some more, yeah
