Charisma is probably her strongest trait. She is also a formidable combatant and marksman, though fighting is not her forte like her mind and way with words is.

Appearance:

- Very lean and and fit.

How she died: As an officer in the U.S. Navy, she went down with her ship. But not before coaxing everyone to safety. She stayed on the bridge, speaking through the ship-wide speaker system, telling all the personnel to get to safety with her silver tongue. Val was successful in getting most if not all of the able-bodied soldiers onto life rafts. Knowing well in advanced that if she stayed behind to ensure that they all got out alive that there would be no time for her to escape as well, she signed off the horn to any one who could still hear her, and resigned herself to her chosen fate. She could do nothing but wait for death to embrace her.

Background: That was a couple months ago. Since then, she was given a second chance, and was able to rally others to her cause. She wanted to to win this thing, and she successfully used her greatest tool, her words, to get others to ensure her victory. Val leads by far the largest brigade in the game. Her loyal followers will and have died for her success many times over the course of the game. Most people, even inside her organization, don't really know her motives, but she does have goal in mind. However, everyone knows she will do everything she can to not be bested. Val will never go down without a fight, even if she isn't doing the fighting.

Extra: Most of the time she doesn't wear her officer's uniform, though she still has it for "special occasions." Normally she wears fatigues and combat boots, and sometimes she opts for a white under shirt or a wife-beater instead of the fatigue top.
