Introduction
The prince of Valade is hosting a grand ball to find a future partner. Enter a world where political intrigue is common and fiefs struggle for power. The lesser nobles seek to marry their daughters to this prince in hope to gain political power over all other factions in the kingdom. But in the end it is up to the prince whom he chooses as his future wife. However, there are some who may view this as the perfect opportunity to cause disruption among the upper classes.
The candidates will be staying within the royal capital for a week, giving the prince time to get to know them and ultimately make a decision on who to marry. If he doesn't find a suitable partner, the prince is unable to become king and the position may be given to another eligible ruler.
The kingdom is rather large with a mostly temperate climate. The landscape mostly consists of evergreen forests and rolling plains. However within the northern areas of the kingdom, cold weather and patches of mountains is common. The culture in the kingdom is vast and diverse with its fiefs and provinces having varying cultures. “I am looking forward to it, certainly.” The woman grinned at him. “Don't drown in the ladies now, George." Without a further glance, she sauntered off.
George shook his head, smiling slightly. "Of course, Lady Livingston." She was just as interesting as he remembered.
Sighing heavily, he leaned back. George was pretty sure that there weren't anymore guests for him to greet—today, that is.
"Your highness," addressed the servant, bowing, "Sir Gerard Aodh Adair has arrived. I believe he is headed to the gardens." A frown of disapproval appeared on the old man's face—clearly unappreciative of the breach in protocol.
Again, George didn't really care. Gerard was his closest friend; he didn't give a pence to protocol in his case. "Oh? Excellent!" George adjusted his coat and began walking.
"Your Highness?" the servant called, confusion and irritation blending together. "May I know where you are headed to?"
"To greet Gerard, of course." George smiled, almost deviously. "I am supposed to be greeting all the guests, correct?" He ignored the spluttering of the servant and walked quickly to the garden. It didn't take him long to find Gerard; his friend was beside the prized "sunset roses."
"Gerard!" he called out. "Some friend you are, not even saying hello!" George grinned as he approached the blond nobleman. "How have you been?" he greeted warmly.
George shook his head, smiling slightly. "Of course, Lady Livingston." She was just as interesting as he remembered.

The infiltrator glanced a figure waving not too far from him and smirked lightly, putting his hands in his pockets as the Prince himself approached Gerard, giving him a playful wink with his left eye.
"Hey bud!" Gerard answered, walking along the blue blood at a tranquil pace. "Or should I say, Your Majesty King of Valade? That didn't take too long, didn't it?" Gerard chuckled lightly as he picked his friend on his weak spot. The young earl then looked for something to scratch around his neck and only then he acknowledged that he forgot his favorite accessory. He took the white, candid and worked piece of cloth and wrapped it around his neck, finally stroking it proudly. "I almost forgot to wear my cravat! Good thing you reminded me..."
Ah, Will, what a person to befriend! Back then, just a shy boy wearing royal clothing and hiding behind the cloak of the father and now he who will hold the bridles of the Kingdom...after a marriage, of course! Gerard always thought that he knew the Prince too well: a reserved figure with admiration to spare, intellect blazing in the eyes, strength in words but not strong enough to say them. That changed when his brother the heir died and he flipped from a silent wind to a strong storm, destined to lead a kingdom. And Gerard was sure that, no personality in the Kingdom was fit for the role aside George himself.

When Victor and Peter returned to their mistress' room with her luggage, they were greeted by the sight of the other potential brides engaged in what appeared to be a standoff further down the corridor. Taking care not to disturb the little dispute, the pair of them shifted the luggage inside Aleksa's room, quietly closing the door behind them while they awaited her return.
Meanwhile, Aleksa's travels around the royal home of Valade eventually brought her, Freya and Ivan to the gardens, during which she had managed to figure out a potential escape route in the event of a fire, or even... aggressive negotiations. The trio's walking pace had slowed to a casual stroll at this point as they took the time to enjoy the scenery and the outside air.
They stopped when they heard voices up ahead, one of them being that of the prince. Turned out he was talking with someone very familiar to him. A close friend, perhaps. Anastasia looked towards another girl coming into the room and conversation. She defiently hadn't thought much about it really. She just wished she could continue her book but if she would come queen it seemed like she would never finish a book in her life. She needed to know that this was what was happening she smiled at the new princess that came into the room.
"Princess Anastasia Silverstone of Pennyhill." She said with a curtsy to the other princess. She watched as Victorine spoke in charge. She smiled towards them both and looked at them with a smile.
"I would love too but I was busy finishing a book. And I am not that much in for spar but maybe another time?" She said with a smile towards the other princess that she had no idea why she would ask a question like that anyway. But she was honored at the fact the other people wanted to do something with her.
"Princess Anastasia Silverstone of Pennyhill." She said with a curtsy to the other princess. She watched as Victorine spoke in charge. She smiled towards them both and looked at them with a smile.
"I would love too but I was busy finishing a book. And I am not that much in for spar but maybe another time?" She said with a smile towards the other princess that she had no idea why she would ask a question like that anyway. But she was honored at the fact the other people wanted to do something with her.

"Tired? When I am mentally tired, I train. Once the body starts aching is when you get real good sleep! Suit yourself." Rozafa said. Then the other girl claimed she wanted to finish a book. "Well, I hope you take up the offer later on." She replied to the girl. Roza then bid farewell and headed with her entourage to the garden. On the way, Roza said to the guys: "Gee, I guess some just don't want to be fit for self-defense. I guess it is just the outlanders way. In case of war, they might find their head on a stake in the scenario of defeat. If they were ever to become protectorates of our lands, then their men will quickly find not just their sons but also their daughters drafted for basic military training. Speaking of women, where is Dheva? Didn't she want to come along?"
"Well, Dheva said she would come separately. You know her. She wont have problems travelling alone. She might show up shortly before the ball starts." One guy said. Roza then replied: "She better. And I expect her in her good attire. I don't want her wandering around the ball in blood splattered plate armor."
They finally got to the garden and spotted an open area to spar. Upon impact of the hammer, it cracked the stone ground a bit. "Oops. Better be more careful with that here." Roza said.
"Well, Dheva said she would come separately. You know her. She wont have problems travelling alone. She might show up shortly before the ball starts." One guy said. Roza then replied: "She better. The leaders of Austron and Shurete, the crown princesses of Pennyhill and Tessar, to name a few." He paused, running through the mental list of visitors. "Oh! And Lady Livingston is in attendance, as well. Have you met her?"
The prince noticed movement from the corner of his eye. He turned to see an elegant woman accompanied by two bodyguards. Aleksa Kinova of Austron, if he wasn't mistaken. George looked back to his friend. It would be rude to simply ignore the leader--and guest of another country.
He stepped forward and bowed in the lady's direction. "Your Majesty," he said, loud enough to be hard but soft enough to be polite. "It is a pleasure to see you again." George proceeded to introduce his closest friend. "This is Ser Gerard Adair, from the Rochdale province of Valade. Gerard, this is the Queen of Austron, Aleksa Kinova."
George smiled. "Are you enjoying the gardens?" Valade's royal gardens were quite famous. His country's climate was mild enough for most plants, and the seasons were fairly temperate.
George rolled his eyes, unable to help the smirk. "No preferences yet. I've only been introduced to a few. Though I have met a few interesting people. The leaders of Austron and Shurete, the crown princesses of Pennyhill and Tessar, to name a few." He paused, running through the mental list of visitors. "Oh! Gerard's mind scrolled through the names, or better, titles that George listed, tilting his head."Hey,- he took a brief sigh - not that names are gonna explain who bears it!" The unwanted guest folded his hands behind him, following the protagonist of the evening.
"Huh, Livingston you said? Wish it would ring a bell, though it usually gets rusty, this bell." Gerard knocked his temple lightly "Plus, where the heck is Shurete to begin with? And what kind of name is Pennyhill!" Gerard chuckled again, winking his left eye while descreetly poking the Prince with his elbow "Anyhow! Tangent!" He started off, only to notice that Will had turned toward quite an austere, awe-inspiring woman. She...wasn't exactly what Gerard would have expected from a lady coming from faraway to court one of the most influential men of the whole world, not by a long shot... "Queen of Austron, eh?" Gerard smirked and bowed his head: "It is my pleasure to meet such a prestigious lady." Gerard replied and looked around once again "Call me Jelly by the way." He added, smiling childishly while adjusting his cravat.

Since Austron's climate was colder in comparison to that of Valade, it made growing plants for ornamental gardens very difficult. No, the wonders of Aleksa's palace lay elsewhere.

That said, yeah... bit of a long one. It's loaded with tangents, first impressions and... perhaps the worst possible way someone could ever address a crown prince. Don't be alarmed, she just requires special attention and care. =P
