Kiss the Clouds

Kiss the Clouds Open

You're stupid, painful, worthless. You've got nowhere to go and nobody to love you. So when they come to collect you and make you their own, it was natural instinct to accept. And you thought life couldn't get any better than this. You were so wrong.

Introduction

.
.
There are always good lives and bad lives.

But you didn't know that when you signed the contract with the angel that your life would be flipped.

Living for others, doing selfless acts to be seen as glorious in the eyes of the world. Heartwarming? Yes. Easy? No. You didn't ask for all the pain and suffering that accompanied this life of Job. At first it was peaceful and wonderful; nothing could have taken you from that high-point. But it did. You were thrown down, gagged, beaten, and sucked up by the scum and muck of the hellhole called Earth. Everything that was so wonderful you lost. All those who loved you turned their backs on you. The contract was broken as you yourself turned your back on the angels and their master.

It was only natural to sign a new contract. It was hope to replenish the life you'd lost.

Finally, someone who would listen and fulfill your wants. Someone who would tear down those who hurt you and raise those few who put their guts out for you. Your life as a lowlander suddenly raised up and you became high and mighty. No angels, no painful could stand in the way of your throne. But there are side-effects when you make a contract with a Fallen. Slowly you are consumed by the hunger for revenge. You begin to betray those who grew close and hate those who grew distant. Ever so painfully slow, the want for blood and betrayal begins to etch into your soul.

It was only natural to want to become powerful.

But with power comes responsiblity.

At the time, you just didn't know that your new responsibility was to take down Heaven.

And even though the realization of this hits you like a train, the trust you've put in this creature has attached you to them, and they to you. Humans with their sins and their drama are the only natural way to rip out such a massive power-sours of the sky. Your job is to unite with the demons, gain help from Lucifer, sin to your hearts content, and kill the clouds so your allies will know who they are to slaughter.

Go ahead, Kill them.
They're waiting.

~○<:{[Info/Rules]}:>○~
--A contract is formed by the Fallen having a taste of the human's blood. They usually just make a cut wherever they please and take the blood, though it has to be given freely; it cannot be forced--
--Fallen's have their wings, but to any humans other than the ones who are associated with them or their bretheren demons, they are invisible. They appear human other than their usually oddly colored eyes--
--Demons appear as humans generally, though when they wish they can transform into their true selves. This is usually something along the lines of either really beautiful (something that would seduce you before killing you) or really terrifying (most prefer this form)--
--Humans have no special abilities. They aren't vampires or werewolves; just normal people with a contract--
--If a human is in trouble, they can call their Fallen by saying their name. A Fallen will protect their human with their lives--
--Once in contract, a Fallen can sense their humans emotions as well as if they are in pain or not--
--I don't care how far you go with violence/cursing/romance, but don't break the site rules--
--Romance is wanted, but please, don't blind us. Take it to PM if you really want--
--No Chuck Norris/Mary Sue characters, please--
--Got a problem with me? Suck it up, I'm GM and what I say goes. I usually won't go bad-sassing you. I do what I do because it's for the best of this roleplay and for the community around it--
--I am NOT reserving. Don't ask me, I won't respond. I'm sick of people skipping over these rules. If you want the position, send in an application and I'll choose it if I think it's worthy of this roleplay--
--Don't complain if your character isn't chosen! Dear Lord, it annoys me so greatly when people do this--
--This is a literate roleplay. I don't want your measly little mosts. Give me something that makes me want more--
--Please try to post at least once a day. I understand it's difficult with school and jobs, so please PM me if there are any issues with your schedule. I'll be happy to try to work them out with you. Personally, however, if you rarely get on the site, I wouldn't join this. This roleplay will most likely be fast paced and thrilling--
--You MUST fill out the character Skeleton. No cuts, no buts, no alagator guts--

October rested her chin on her knees which were pulled up to her chest. She was sitting in the corner of her room, eyes plastered to the rusted old carpet. Downstairs she could still hear the bickering and crashes as her parents fought. Parents... No, they weren't her parents. They were monsters, one abusive and one passive. She sniffed lightly as she rubbed the bruises along her arms and neck. Every night is was constant beating to relieve his anger. But it never worked because it continued. She gritted her teeth and stood, hands clenched into tight balls. They would pay. They would all pay. But she still had to deal with... Her violet eyes fell on the black feather that lay motionless on her bedside table.

"What have I gotten myself into?" He'd told her last night that she was going to help him take down Heaven. In return for the embrace she'd always wanted, the protection of her world, she was to help him. But Heaven? That was awefully big to shoot for. What about the other angels? What about... God? No, she'd stopped believing in him long ago. October pressed onto the balcony that connected to her room, her only haven from the hell inside. And to get help from Lucifer, the devil himself? But this power. Her hands tightened on the railing as another crash downstairs boomed through the house. It felt so good.

Tyler watched as October came out, onto her balcony. He'd been listening to the crashing and bashing below for a while now and was growing tired of it. He'd been about to go do something about it when she came out. Now, though, he spread his wings and dropped lightly off the roof, landing soundlessly behind his charge. For a few seconds he watched her and worried. As Tyler closed his wings, he wondered what he should do. Obviously she was resentful of the violence below, so maybe something of reassurance. Tyler moved forward slowly and draped his arms slowly around her. "Hey, Toby," he said, coming up with the nickname on the spot. "How you been?"

Her touch on his skin was warm, and Tyler had to remember that this was a contract, not a relationship. She probably thought he was a pig anyway. Either way, he still wanted to help, and he didn't know many other ways to do that than this. As an added touch, Tyler spread his wings again and wrapped her in them, guarding her from the lowering tempurature.

“Verrow!” A group of men, dressed in black suits stood outside the beaten down door of an old house in the middle of the city. “Oi! Get yer ass out here!” One shouted, tapping a bat against his shoulder impatiently.

“Dad…?” Rowen asked. “Dad where’d you go? Some people are here to see you…” He called out for his father repeatedly, but to no avail. In the end it was useless. His father was no longer in the house. He walked into the dining room to find his mother in tears at the table. “Mom…? What’s wrong?” He asked, sympathetically. “Where’s dad…?”

A crash at the door signaled the men’s entrance. “Verrow! Stop hiding! You owe us, and we’re here to collect!” Rowen turned from his mother to the hall he had entered from. He stepped slowly, feeling his body tense nervously with each step. A man, tall with a sleek build and blond hair rounded the corner and ran directly into Rowen.

“Hn?” The man grunted, looking down to see Rowen. “Oh? A kid? Oi boss! He’s got a brat!” The man shouted, grabbing Rowen by hi s neck and pulling him along. Rowen’s mother didn’t move, just stared at him, terrified. “You’re coming with us, kid.”

“Ow! Hey, wait! Mom!” He shouted, flailing uselessly. “Mom!”

. . .

Rowen shot up in his bed, a sick feeling overpowering him. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked down at his shaking hands. “I haven’t… had that dream in a long time…” He stood up and took his nightshirt off, leaving only the plaid pajama pants he had on as he walked over to his window and opened it slowly. He inhaled the air outside, feeling it wash over him. “Heaven… huh?” He muttered.

Christian had gone out for a walk... as usual. There was nothing for him to do at home anyways. He purposely avoided going to the big part of the city that were crowded with people. He yawned quietly to himself as he walked on the edge of a lake. One misstep, and he'll be soaked. Christian stopped hearing a loud cry from one of the nearby tree. He walked over, realizing the terrible cry was infact, a cat. He peered up at the tree, spotting a small black cat clinging onto a tree branch. With a small sigh, Christian climbed his way up, and sat on a branch closest to the cat.

At the sight of the teen, the cat hissed, afraid of getting harmed. Despite the cat's complaining, Christian reached up, only to get bitten. Blinking he just stared at the cat before smiling his rare smile. Ignore the cat's actions he gently picked it up, and jumped down the tree. As if knowing what Christian had done for it, the cat licked his wound before leaping out of his arms and going its own way. As soon as the cat was out of sight, the smile that was painted on his face disappeared. Putting his hands in his pocket, Christian headed back home.

She should have heard him coming, but October still jumped as Tyler suddenly appeared. At first she was stiff, but at the nickname she relaxed and let out a shakey breath. "You scared me," she said lightly. The brunette leaned back against him. It wasn't everyday someone would hold her with arms that conveyed protection. The tickle of his wings made her smirk a little. "I'm alright other than those bastards downstairs. Next time that old man comes into my room unannounced I'm going to give his face a high-five with my foot." She sighed, enjoying the warmth that his wings gave her. She paused, however, as the thought of Heaven replaced itself into her mind.

"Tyler," she said slowly, violet eyes trained on the night sky as if invisioning the world above, "when we take down Heaven, do you think that the rest of the world will fall? Do you think they'll suffer like I have?" There was malice in her voice and also a far off anger that was biting at her lips. Her hand reached up and her fingertips brushes at the contract scar on the side of her neck. October tilted her head so she could see his face clearly. She'd always wanted to ask him why he himself had been cast out of heaven. Lust, Envy, Murder? But part of her didn't want to know. Let him hold his angry secrets. Perhaps that would fuel him for the days to come.

Nemesis had been sitting in the trees near a lake watching the moon when she sensed Christian near by. She had been laying on her back on a branch when she sat up and looked around to see Christian climbing a tree and watched to see he was helping a cat. She couldn't help but smile at his actions, even more so when she saw him smile. She did frown at one thing however, he hadn't noticed her, normally he could always find her if she were near by, which meant he wasn't paying attention, which meant he was potentially in more danger than normal. She slid gracefully of the branch of the tree,. her pale hair shimmered in the moonlight as it flowed behind her in her descension. She landed on the ground with an almost inaudible thud.

She walked casually and caught up with Christian. "You know, when you walk around at night and don't pay attention you're in danger. You should be more careful my dear Christian." she said as a casual smile formed. She walked next to Christian for a moment longer before saying, "You know, we've been in a contract for almost two years now...." she paused before looking over at Christian, "You should smile more often, it suits you better." she added as they walked through another wooded area now on the way back to Christian's home.

Christian didnt looked at Nemesis as she walked along side him. "I can take care of myself." he said dully. His eyes focused on the ground, as he kicked at small pebbles. Two years.. it had already been that long since he made a contract with her? He wasnt quiet sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Christian's eyes seemed to glare at her when she mentioned him smiling. Picking up his pace, he walked on ahead of her. It wasnt like he hated Nemesis... sure he found it annoying when she became overly protective, but somtimes he did enjoy her company. It was just that, he never showed it. "It's just a contract.." he muttered under his breath.

Opening his door, Christian hurried inside, without bothering to check on Nemesis. She'll find her way inside either way. Tossing the keys on the table, Christian walked into his room, taking off his jacket. He looked around his room, grabbing a blue t-shirt, and changed into something more comfortable. With a second of hesitation, he looked out the window, looking to see if Nemesis was there.

Nemesis' smile stayed as he glared at her. She knew how he was with people, and she knew he didn't dislike her so his glares usually didn't affect her much at all. However her smile did fade when he picked up his face and insisted that their contract was just a contract. She looked a bit hurt by that and twiddled her fingers, "Well I consider us friends..." she mumbled under her breathe and severely doubted that he had heard her. She looked around as they came up to his house. In the two years they had been contracted she could count the number of times she had entered his home on one hand. She wasn't superstitious or anything of the sort, but Christian wasn't the sort to openly invite her or call on her often, in fact most of the time they spent together was when Nemesis found him, not when he called her.

She hesitated a moment before walking towards the door, but she topped and looked over to the side. the bushes ruffled and she walked over to see the same cat that had bitten Christian was there. She knelled down and held her arms out to the cat. "Come here," she beckoned gently and waited patiently as the cat hesitated and then slowly made its way to her. It smelled her hands and then nuzzled them, she gently pet the cat and held it in her arms. She stood up and turned around to see Christian looking at her from the window of his room. She smiled and then walked back to his front door and walked in and closed the door behind her.

As she walked inside she noticed that everything was the same as the last time she had been in the house. He didn't really have any family photos from what she had seen, but from what she knew of him she could easily understand why. She walked down the hall to the room she knew to be Christian's and said, "Shouldn't you treat that bite? It's not that bad but you should put some alcohol on it at least to keep it from getting infected," she said with a simple smile still easily hiding her slightly hurt feelings. She gently pet the cat and said, "I found your friend too, seems he followed us," she said with a chuckle as she motioned to the cat in her arms.

Tyler listened to October quietly. He wasn't fond of interruption, and anyway was too busy enjoying the feeling of her slender body pushing against his. As she spoke of Heaven, though, he cast a gaze of pure wrath directly upward. "I don't know," he said, in answer to her question about the other humans. "I honestly have no idea of what's going to happen. I don't remember anything except being cast down, remember?"

Sighing, Tyler released October and flapped his wings hard, taking him up and over the balcony. Then he folded his wings and fell. Tyler landed soundlessly, as before, and looked through the window. Toby's parents were still fighting. Sighing, Tyler drew one of his guns and swept his arm across the house, hitting nothing with the rounds but scaring the hell out of the parents.

With another flap, Tyler landed smoothly back on the balcony. "Couldn't take that anymore," he growled. "Sudden and harsh violence brings people together for a time. They won't fight for a day or so...hopefully."

Once again, Tyler wrapped his arms and wings around Toby. Suddenly, he smiled and chuckled. "I guess Wrath is plausable," he said playfully, resting his chin on her shoulder. "For my expulsion I mean."

So even the Fallen didn't know. But bringing down Heaven was the only way to show the world that they were causing people to suffer. And, well, October was sure that the Fallen would also be glad to destroy the place that had shunned them. She blinked as Tyler suddenly lifted from the balcony and, in the same silent fashion as before, landed to the ground. Despite her experience, she still flinched as he fired rounds around the house. Part of her felt hollow and a little frightened, but most of her was pleased. When he joined her once more, she giggled a little. "You're so cute when you're annoyed. Just wait until my dad comes outside with his shotgun. Then he's really going to piss you off."

Since his chin was on her shoulder, the brunette leaned her head against his and sighed. Closeness. She'd never gotten a lot of that feeling as she grew up. October was often wary about her desire to get close to someone since she didn't never gotten comfortable with it's limits; what was too much and what was nothing at all. She blew a minty fresh breath out into the air and watched as it went from visible, chilly, to invisible. It looked as if she might say something, but the porch door suddenly slammed open. "Here we go," she muttered distainfully.

A large muscular man stomped out across the lawn, anger painted on his face. Though he wasn't holding a shotgun as one would expect, the murderous look in his eyes was enough to scare the shooter off. He marched around the yard for several minutes before turning back to the house and stopping. He was gazing directly at October. The anger disappeared for a moment before reappearing with greater rage. "You," he snapped, pointing a stubby finger at Tyler. "What are you doing with my daughter? Don't tell me you climbed her hair up to that balcony to have some fun. Come down from there this instant!"

October, even with the years of experience with her father, stiffened, the heat rising to her face. She looked at a loss for words. But what could she say? Shutup, old man, he's a fallen angel and he's going to rip you to shreads. Yeah no. It still bothered her, however, that nobody else could see the dark wings protruding from Tyler's back. Was that normal? "Tyler," she murmured, "how long until we go down to get Lucifer?" She was asking this question for only one reason: If they killed the old fart now, they could either dissappear on their hunt immediately or rot in jail until they decided it was time to leave.

Tyler sighed when the old man spotted him, casting a lazy smile his way. Just for kicks, and to piss off the old man, he kissed October on the cheek and called, "Hell yeah, old man. Your daughter's got such a cute face I wanted to see it from up close."

Thoroughly enraged, the man below started to scream obsenities. Tyler detatched from Toby once again and hopped off the balcony, not bothering with his wings this time. He walked right up to the man and grabbed his neck, then lifted him by it and smiled lazily, as if he'd just gotten laid or something. Way to relaxed for the situation, no matter the implications behind it. "Listen, dude," Tyler slurred, as if too tired to form the words properly. "You can swing once, maybe twice, probably even a third time, but I swear to unholy antichrist that if you ever, EVER raise your hand to me or her ever again I WILL TEAR THE HEAD FROM YOUR SHOULDERS AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!!"

Tyler's voice steadily became a roar. He'd been holding up the rage for a while now, and was begging to let it loose. 'Swing,' he pleaded in his mind. 'Please, swing, give me a reason to make those threats promises.'

The man didn't swing. Instead he pissed himself. Tyler, disgusted, turned a flung him into the house, wiping his memory with a little magic he'd discovered just recently. He would believe that he was jumped by a group of gang members and thrown back in. And so would anyone else that touched him.

With a hop, Tyler flew back up to Toby and leaned on the railing now, looking at the sky. "My guess," he said, answering his charge's questions now that he had a moment. "Is that we sin as much as possible, and he'll probably contact us. If not, I'm sure there are demons or something that will get us back on track if we stray from the path. On a random note, I love Wrath." Tyler smiled and stretched until he was hanging over the railing. "Damn do I love Wrath!"

The kiss, even though it was just to the cheek, cast a bright red over October's face. Her heart gave a little jump at Tyler's words. He might have said it just to piss of the guy, but it still felt good. Nobody ever used to compliment her, so even if they were fake, she would take them all the same. She watched in the same lazy-like fashion as Tyler lept from the balcony to join the guy below. Tyler or Pissy man? Which should I choose? The instand that her Fallen took hold of her old man's neck, a sly smirk fell to her lips. Definately Tyler.

She watched silently as her Fallen's anger roared out against the man. It was rather entertaining to watch that fear slip onto her father's face. The brunette giggled -it was more of a quiet cackle- as Tyler easily threw his prey aside and rejoined her. "You have no idea how much fun it was watching that," she said with a childish glee. Her tongue frisked over her lips as she felt the cold midnight air try to dry them. Sin?

Of course that made perfect sense. Sin like a madman (or madwoman) and the devil was bound to have some interest in you. But what was he like? October tilted her head lightly as she examined Tyler. Was he like the Fallen? "I can't help but wonder what Lucifer is like. Is he full of wrath like you? Does he enjoy watching people in pain? Or is he a lust filled monster?" she said innocently.

The brunette strode gracefully back into her room, enjoying the silence below them. She stood infront of her mirror and stared at her reflection. A hand trailed up to lightly touch the scar on the side of her neck. The contract scar. But it didn't really seem like a contract. It was more of an odd sort of friendship - perhaps more than friendship at one time or another. "Sin like crazy?" she murmured. "Hmmm. What to do first."

Despite his very best efforts, Jc couldn't find any clue to where his lost brother was. How annoying. Walking the cold streets, he read from his spiral quietly, looking up every now and then to redirect himself if he strayed to far. Sometimes, he'd get so lost in his readings that eventually, Jc would get himself lost. Sighing, he sat on a bench and pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a few drags. Jc's eyes scanned the area as he yawned and looked into the clouds. Undying. He missed it. The warmth that was God. The feeling that place gave. . . Pure bliss. Euphoric even. It didn't really bother him. Having lost something extremely precious before, becoming a Fallen didn't come as a surprise. Finishing his cigarette, he flicked it and smiled to himself. At least nothing else was bothering him. . . it seemed peaceful.

Tyler enjoyed the thought of bringing up the real sin he wanted to commit, and the comment about a 'lust crazed monster' made him chuckle. He followed her into her room and leaned on a random wall. "Where to start, huh?" he mused aloud. "We could try Envy, or Sloth, I'm good at that one...maybe we could go for that one, that you were talking about."

On a random whim, Tyler moved forward a picked October up by her legs, pushing her against the wall opposite. "We could do Lust right now," he said softly, pressing his forehead lightly against October's. He was only half serious, but was enjoying the 'game'. "We could just sit here and sin sin sin away until the sun stops rising if you want."

(Forgive the immaturity, but this just seemed like such fun. It also seems like what my character would do, so just let me know if this needs to be changed.)

Sloth is easy, October thought as she stretched her neck and shoulders. All you have to do is sit around all day and do nothing. That sounded a decent place to start. Then again, she'd never been good at sitting around and making others do the work for her. But she had been raised to be the one who served the sloths, and part of her liked the sound of just kicking back and relaxing for a little while.

At Tyler's slightest movement, the brunette's eyes latched onto him. Her face flushed bright red as soon as even one finger touched her leg. She looked fairly startled between the lipstick red face and the way her lips parted as if trying to speak silent words. October let out a small breath to calm herself before actually speaking, however. Even if Tyler was her Fallen and was bound to her by contract, she still didn't want him to think she was going to freak out about something so small.

"Now aside the fact that it would be doing exactly what the devil wants, you're way to good to do something like that with me." Despite her words, however, she did find herself absently playing with his hair. It was more of an excuse than anything. Maybe she had thought about it before, but she was still so flustered about the whole bringing-down-Heaven thing that she wasn't sure if she was even thinking straight any longer. Then again, she did mean what she said. October, your insecurity is showing, she thought dryly.

(nah, you're fine xD I don't mind. Whatever helps the story)

Tyler laughed lightly, childlike, showing every bit of his considerable boyish charm. "Assuming we care about what the devil wants," he said, "and that we don't want to be doing exactly that to get his attention, I am much worse of a person than you think."

Still, Tyler detached himself from Toby and sat on the floor, leaning up against the bed. "So, if not Lust or Sloth or Wrath, what do you want to do?" he asked casually.

October let out a silent breath as he released her. She was still tingly as she forced herself to sit on the bed beside him. What else could they do? "Well, we could always go steal something or... um..." The brunette trailed off, her violet eyes never leaving Tyler as she worked to think up a plan. "I'm no good at this sinning stuff. I've been raised to be a little angel." She sighed lightly, looking a little annoyed. "Look where that got me," she grumbled. "How bout Gluttony? My mom'll be gone for a while since she'll be taking my dad to the hospital and I know where they stash all their alcoholic drinks. Maybe go from there?"

The thought of drinking underaged made her grin childishly. "Who knows what other crap we'll get outselves into after that." She wasn't exactly sure what alcohol did to Fallen, but she was sure it would have some sort of effect on Tyler. The brunette slipped off the side of the bed to crouch beside him. "Shall we, then?" Rebellion was always her favorite way of getting back at her parents, and just to have a hell of a time. Giggling childishly, October pecked a kiss to his cheek before jumping up and skipping out the door.

Once downstairs, she began looking for a loose floor pannel. Below a specific one were what appeared to be an endless supply of wine and beer sitting neatly in little rows. Of course, she hadn't verified that Tyler would join her with the drinking, but she couldn't care less. He was already categorized as a bad creature. She was the one who needed the big sinning.

Tyler followed and watched as October began working the floorboards. "Wine and beer, huh?" he said, as if pondering. "We could do that and take forever...or." Tyler pulled from his jacket a large flask, engraved with the Roman numeral XIII. "Or we could do this right."

Flicking the cap off, Tyler leaned back slightly and took a good swig. It burned like fire down his throat, but he liked it. Something about his past...a Cajin family...an uncle devoted to the arts of distilation...he didn't remember, but he did have quite a bit of nostalgia associated with Moonshine. He also knew how to make it.

Satisfied that the liquid fire would do its work soon, he smiled lazily and held out the flask, still almost full. "Live a little, yeah?"

October paused as she finally managed to pry out a floorboard, eyes lifting up to the flask. "What is it?" she asked, eyeing it as he took a swig. She reluctantly took it as he held it out to her and scrutinized it thoroughly. She sniffed it before holding it away from her and coughing. "Holy shit that's strong," she said, voice a little scathed. It wasn't like her to drink things she didn't know. Usually, she avoided alcohol all together. She had a really low tolerance for the stuff, and even just a glass could get her a little, well, messed up. But she wasn't doing this to be a good girl. She was doing this so the devil would open up his gates and invite them in so they could get his help to bring down Heaven. "I'm totally going to regrett this," she sighed before lifting it to her lips and allowing the liquid to flow into her mouth.

Swallowing had to be the worst part. The brunette almost choked on air as she sharply intook breath directly after getting it down. October blinked several times, coughing again, then stared at the flask. "Yup, strong," she piped up in an extra high voice. The effects were almost immediate and she soon found everything becoming rather histerical. She stood, wobbled a little, then rubbed her eyes like a child. "What was that?" she asked in a groggy sort of voice. She shook her head back and forth as if to clear the fuzzies from her vision, but it didn't do much to help. Her tongue frisked lightly over her lips before she placed the flask on the counter. She could still taste it on her lips, even on the back of her tongue. After the shock of the potent drink, there was a nice flavor that seemed to cake the inside of your mouth.

Catching sight of Nemesis, Christian took a step away from the window and sat on his bed. He looked over as she walked in with the cat in her arms. His expression somewhat softened at the sight of the animal. When Nemesis mentioned his wound, he looked down at his hands, "It's fine." he answered. Christian ran his finger across the bit mark before stretching. "Just a small bite. It wont kill me." He smiled as the cat jumped onto his lap. When he realized Nemesis was still there, his smile quickly faded.

Instead he absentmindedly stroke the cat. To tell the truth, Christian could tell something was up with Nemesis. He assumed it was probably because of him. "You really dont need to hide it." he muttered before laying down. The cat layed down besides him, purring quietly.

Nemesis smiled as she watched Christian stroke the cat. He was being very gentle towards it, a side she'd rarely seen of him herself, and wished he was comfortable enough around her to show her more often. His smile faded, as did hers and she sighed, she wasn't good at hiding things from him, she didn't know why. She could remember the first day she had seen him, something about him attracted her, she had no problems trying to use him but she slowly lost that ability as time went on, and as she lost it so too he gained an extreme easiness to read her.

He told her she couldn't hide it from him and to just tell him what was bothering her and she sighed. She leaned on the door way and crossed her arms, her right hanf fiddle with some of her hair that had fallen infront of her shoulder. She looked him over with a sincere gaze and said, "You said we're just a contract but.... I thought we were friends.... not just people who work towards the same cause...." she said to him sheepishly.

"Peace. . . Its the essence of perfection. . . the time to prosper. . .", A small voice rang inside Jc's head. Stupid memories. How could peace be a time for prosperity? Having known no peace in his entire life, how do you expect him to understand? "Foolish...", Jc grumbled as he sat up from the bench and began walking towards an abandoned mental hospital. For some reason, these kind of places gave Jc a sense of solitude. He had made a home out of this one. Slowly walking up the long path and up the crumbling stairs, he opened the door of the hospital. Silently, he closed it and began walking in the hallways. The walls were worn and had ancient fallen symbols upon them. Coming on a door with a specific symbol that showed a blue rose losing color, Jc placed his palm on it, making the door open. With a small sigh, he walked within the doors as they shut.

"An entire world. . . yours for the taking, my love." The words echoed eerily along the corridors.

Tyler couldn't help but laugh as Toby wobbled and stumbled over herself. "That, sweetheart," he said cheerfully, "Is one hundred percent ungodly proof Cajin style moonshine, just like Uncle EJay used to make."

Now the effects of the alcohol were taking effect on him...or so it seemed. Tyler was still quite clear minded. 'I have a tolerance to the stuff,' he thought. 'Has to be genetic and experience. No other way in hell or heaven.'

"Here," Tyler said, acting slightly drunk, picking up the flask. "Let's try a gentler approach."

Tilting his head back, Tyler took in another mouthful of fire and only downed half of it. When he straightened up again, he moved forward and close to Toby quickly. Throwing caution to the wind, he moved in close and frenched her right there, letting the moonshine spill into her mouth from his.

The brunette pursed her lips as Tyler laughed about her staggering, though otherwise didn't really seem to notice. She blinked several times as she fought to keep listening to what he was saying and not zone out and sing a little song. "Hmm," she replied matter-of-factly. Her head tilted to the side as she watched him pick up the flask once more. It was tempting not to steal it away from him, but she paused at his words. Gentler approach? If she had been in her right mind she might have known what he meant, but since the potent drink was already taking its course she wasn't even sure which was left and which was right.

"Owies," she piped as he swallowed, remembering the burn of the alcohol down her throat. And out of the blue his lips were at hers. Gentler approach. Ah, she understood now. October flinched a little at the sting of the alcohol, but otherwise didn't pull back. If she wasn't so mixed up, she might have turned the color of a tomato, but she was rather wobbly and her usual tendencies had disappeared. Almost absently, her hands lifted and grabbed onto his shirt. She wasn't sure if it was her body's instinct to grab onto something before she fell or some other thing, but she didn't particularly care. Between the moonshine and the fact that his lips were at hers, all the could focus on was Tyler.

'She's losing it,' Tyler thought, now needing to fight the effects of the alcohol but still keeping a clear mind. It took effort, but his concentration was more straightforward because of it. 'Maybe I should set her down for a while...naaaahh.'

Tyler felt her grab his shirt, felt her cool touch, and for a moment hated himself for doing this to someone so undeserving of such a fate. Then he let the alcohol take over, and pushed further. Tyler yanked every trick and bit he could remember from his mind and put every one of them into service. His fingers searched for soft spots, his arms kept her against his chest, and his mouth...was occupied. After a moment, he lost himself in her scent.

(Small warning, I won't be able to post as frequently. Feel free to hijack Tyler if you wish)

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Bumpity Bump Bump?

Anyone still alive? Breathing? Eating? Or, most importantly of all, posting?

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

I'm sorry, all o.o I posted a starting post a while back but apparently it didn't go through...

Everyone can start, I'm re-writing the post now...

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

have you ever tried PMing Stella? O.o
if you want i cant ask her about it.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

I'd recomend giving it another day or so, Akantha. If no one posts for two days straight, then I'd say it's dead (Same case with GM absence. Two days is kind of like the flatline)

And Karri, wow I'm an idiot today, I meant something along the lines of reckless or rushed. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Okay this is ridiculous. I have to agree with Karri. She seemed so excited and well....Nothing is happening. I have a million other charries going on and you know how the list on your character list can get really big if you don't get rid of the old and dead? Well I really want to do that if nothing is going to go on with the roleplay. I just don't want to because I don't want to abandon without knowing whether I need to wait a few more days. If it take a few more months well I'm leaving.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

no worries

and I think our opinions of hasty are different.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Forgive the assumption, and the following statement, but you do seem edgy. As for the waiting thing I'm just saying that we shouldn't be overly impatient. A hastily made/started RP is often a short one, after all.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Not a flame a statement. If it sounded like a flame it's cuz I'm mad at an idiot and as of late it's been making me edgy. And no I don't agree, making people wait will not make it better.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Easy on the flame, there, Karri. I'm sure Stella has good reason for not posting, and I'm sure there are other things to do while waiting for this RP to start. Personally, I think the wait will make the end result all the better.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Lol love how this died before it got started. Mad Gm skillz there -.-

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Any word on posting?

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Cross: You're character is accepted, mainly because I'm impatient and... yeah, that's about it ^^ I like the character anyway sooooo yeah.

We may begin! If I get a chance, I'll put up a post tonight, but I'm pretty sleepy so I think i'll do it tomorrow.

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

eh, that sucks, but i dont mind. (;

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

I'm assuming I'm not in those two people? That's cool :)

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Re: [OOC] Kiss the Clouds

Don't apologize. It was my screwup, so you're not at fault. And yes, god yes, I know about this 'life' of which you speak. So many people screwing with you, bunch of complaining, I hear it's a real bitch :P
