Introduction

The last letter had been finished. The ornate, red wax seal cooled on the creamy white paper. Seven other identical envelopes were lined up neatly beside it on the desktop. Each was emblazoned with different names and addresses from all over the planet. The looping, graceful script shone in crimson ink. Candles flickered in the drawing room. The writer picked up the last letter and flipped it over, lithely marking the paper with a fountain pen. Lightly blowing on the ink, the sender of the letters made a satisfied noise.
"Perfect. Andrew, mail these straight away." The burly man had been standing in the dark recesses of the lavish office. He stepped forward and gathered the messages in his large calloused hands.
"As you wish." His deep voice was a monotone. That was how it always was with the servants. Their minds were merely echoing caverns. One command and they obeyed. The writer at the desk smirked.
"Hopefully my new guests will be quite more entertaining... Ahahahaha!" The mad cackle rang throughout the manor, bouncing off the solid stone walls.

The world of Pokémon - I'm sure you're acquainted with it. There are the four main regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. The characters in this roleplay are Pokémon Masters from these regions. There shall be two from each. Eight in total.
Each of these Masters has been sent a letter, inviting them to the lovely island of Conferos, just a couple days sail from the Orange Islands. An assembly of sorts. A place where which all the Masters can get together for a weekend, discuss pokémon, and relax... Or so the letters said.
No posting until the RP is started! akai-pyon (the other GameMaster) and I have some ideas. Those ideas will set in motion when all the characters are signed up. I will update the list below so you all know which spots have been taken.
Kanto Master 1: Kadence "Kade" Riddell (akai-pyon)
Kanto Master 2: Hayashi Ichiro (xCrossX21)
Johto Master 1: Blake Douglas (leopardspotz17 - me)
Johto Master 2: Kazeko Seiji (akai-pyon)
Hoenn Master 1: Jeremy Thrall (TemplarWarden)
Hoenn Master 2: Skyler Reynolds (Anubus)
Sinnoh Master 1: Wallace Walker (fullmetal642)
Sinnoh Master 2: Lulu Brewster (Zombie Pulse)
You can reserve a spot by PMing me or writing in the OOC section. I'll be glad to save you a spot, but be sure to get your character in quickly, because I'd like to start this RP as soon as possible.
FINALLY - When we have all the roles taken, I will update this page. When the time comes, I will PM you all so you are aware. Important stuff will be here so make sure to keep checking in!
UPDATE (2/9/11): Great characters, everybody! All spots are filled now, so the roleplay will be going under way. Please wait just a couple days for akai-pyon and I to set everything up - we needed to wait and see all the characters before we can do anything. :) I'll PM you all when you should look back here!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE (2/12/11): ATTENTION EVERYONE! The roleplay has officially begun. Listed below are letters that were sent to each Master. They are in the same order as the Masters are above - Starting with the Kanto Masters, ending with the Sinnoh Masters. After reading your letter, you may post. You don't need to include a reply to the letter in your first post. Your first post should be about your character arriving on the island - that should encompass your character entering the mansion with one of your pokemon - the first pokemon listed in your party. The pokemon walking with you must be the first one listed in your character profile - this is very important, believe me. Leave your other pokemon (in their balls) with the butler at the front door for "security purposes". And now, the letters:
Kadence "Kade" Riddell (akai-pyon)
“Dear Master Kadence Riddell,
Greetings. I wish to invite you to the island of Conferos for a one-week vacation of sorts. I own the private island, and it is only a day’s journey from the Orange Islands via boat. I do hope that you will be able to attend.
I have invited seven other Masters from all around the regions. I thought it would be very educational to have the Masters all join together and maybe have a small tournament. I am a professor from a far off region known as Apaté. I work there, cataloguing information about the different varieties of pokémon as well as studying the battling styles of trainers. In order to help my studies and theories, I put it upon myself to invite 8 Masters to my island.
Master Riddell, you have risen as a very experienced and skilled trainer over the years. However, I had originally heard of you through a radio station. I believe that at some point during your travels, you had been invited on the show. I stayed tuned in and was very impressed with your musical talent. In my opinion, it rivals your expert battling. I’m very excited to see how you battle – I’m sure it will be a work of art in itself. Please send me a response when you receive this letter.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos
Post Script: I sent this letter to the home of a Mr. Volkner. I heard through the grape vine that you were en route to Sinnoh. So, I addressed this letter to his household in hopes of it being passed on to you.”
Hayashi Ichiro (xCrossX21)
“Dear Master Hayashi Ichiro,
Greetings. I wish to invite you to the island of Conferos for a one-week vacation of sorts. I own the private island, and it is only a day’s journey from the Orange Islands via boat. I do hope that you will be able to attend.

Master Hayashi, as the most recent Kanto Champion, I would be thrilled if you accepted this invitation. I’d be very interested in getting your opinion on pokémon and pokémon training. Your father was a moderately successful trainer in his day, and it would be enlightening to see if his interest in pokémon had an effect on you. I predominantly study how the personalities and histories of trainers affect how they battle and raise their pokémon. Thus, you’d be perfect to interview. Please seriously consider coming – you’d be a wonderful addition to my research. Please send a return message to me whenever you have the opportunity.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Blake Douglas (leopardspotz17)
“Dear Master Blake Douglas,

I had heard of you, Master Douglas, through the papers a couple years ago. It seems recently that you’ve been relaxing. I do hope it’s not too much to ask for you to travel to my island. It would mean ever so much to my research. In addition, I’ve heard such stories of your unique battling style. Your preference for Dark and Poison pokémon, I find intriguing. I hope you won’t mind an interview or two, if you decide on coming. I attempted to learn more about what you’ve done during your training career, but I’ve had no true luck. It seems that you’ve been quite modest about your success. I’d love to get your opinion on battling techniques, along with some detail on what you’ve been up to lately. Please reply to this letter as quickly as possible.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Kaseko Seiji (akai-pyon)
“Dear Master Kazeko Seiji,
Greetings. I wish to invite you to the island of Conferos for a one-week vacation of sorts. I own the private island, and it is only a day’s journey from the Orange Islands via boat. I do hope that you will be able to attend.

Master Kazeko, I have heard numerous impressive things about you. It’s no surprise that such successful and kind-hearted breeders like your parents raised you to be an exceedingly talented trainer. Since you have fairly recently beat Johto’s Elite Four, I’d be very interested in learning of what got you to your spectacular Master status. I’d also be fascinated to discover what fuels your evident determination and confidence, and how that affects your battling techniques. Please reply to this letter as soon as you have the chance.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Jeremy Thrall (TemplarWarden)
“Dear Master Jeremy Thrall,

This past year, I have heard many tales and rumors about the legendary “Mystic”. After digging around a bit, I discovered that at the heart of all the impressive and mysterious stories was you, Master Thrall. Truly, the circulating gossip concerning your skill left me in a state of fascination. It seems to me that the world of pokémon training, let alone your home region of Hoenn, has never seen the likeness of you. I’d be incredibly happy if you resolved to meet me along with the other 7 Masters on my island. It would be fascinating to see how you “tick” so to speak. I must say that I harbor great curiosity for those who break the conventional mold. So please allow me the opportunity to meet the awe-inspiring “Mystic” in the flesh. I await your response.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Skyler Reynolds (Anubus)
“Dear Master Skyler Reynolds,

Master Reynolds, I’m delighted to receive such a unique opportunity. You just received your Master status, successfully beating the Hoenn Elite Four just a few weeks ago. I believe the air in the training community is still buzzing with the news. It would be simply incredible should you accept this invitation. I hope you wouldn’t mind if I tap your brain to learn about the experience of becoming a Pokémon Master. I’d also be interested in seeing what gave you the inspiration for setting out on such a long an difficult journey – though, you seemed to speed through it with relative ease, becoming a Master at 16 years of age. I wait with bated breath for your reply.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Wallace Walker (fullmetal642)
“Dear Master Wallace Walker,

Master Walker, I do hope you find the time to come to the island. It would be an awesome experience for me, if I were able converse with you about your long journey to your impressive title. In fact, I’m quite interesting in your unorthodox manner of achieving Master status. I had read of your success over Master Cynthia in a newspaper a couple months back. I believe the article was entitled, “A Garchomp Standoff: The Emergence of a New Sinnoh Champion” or something along those lines. When reading the article, I myself felt the anticipation and excitement that must have filled that battle. In addition, it would be education for me to discover what tactics and knowledge you picked up while training at the renowned Battle Frontier. Please send a reply as soon as you can.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Lulu Brewster (Zombie Pulse)
“Dear Master Lulu Brewster,

Master Brewster, I am particularly excited to meet you. Age fourteen, and you were already a Champion. Your success is truly remarkable. Along with your incredible history, I’d be ever so happy to meet you in person. Perhaps you’d allow me to interview you a bit. I am very interested in knowing how you prepared for your pokémon adventure, and whether or not that let you get a head start in battling. I had the pleasure of watching a couple videos of you battling, and was surprised with such ferocity and force. I hope that I will be seeing you very soon. Please send your decision when you have the chance.
Sincerely,
Professor Dolos”
Enclosed in the envelope along with the letters were directions for traveling to Conferos and a specific arrival date. Just as the Masters were about to set down their individual letters, something caught all their eyes. Scrawled in slightly messy handwriting were the following:
In Kadence’s:
In a place you’d think not to look,
For those who move at a slower pace,
There you will find,
A very, very familiar face.
In Ichiro’s:
Lesson number one:
Never assume before making a move,
Look for comfort and solace,
For one who once dove.
In Blake’s:
The moon’s shadow on his back,
Wary to the very end,
A place of unpredictability,
Look for the image that seems to bend.
In Seji’s:
A friend from the first step forward,
In a place unusual and strange,
Listen for the familiar rumble,
When another dances out of range.
In Jeremy’s:
Never quiet and always there,
Silent only in the eye,
If escape from these claws were easy,
Then life would be a lie.
In Skyler’s:
Silent as the night,
Fear the cry that never comes,
The cold that grips the core,
The legends with but a warning hum.
In Wallace’s:
High up in the sky,
The flash of light with echoes so deep,
Fear might finally encourage
One who is often found asleep.
In Lulu’s:
Never one to stray too far,
A contradiction if anything at all,
Hear the rustle to the left,
The oh-so-angry call.
Each Master disregarded the cryptic words. Perhaps the professor was a poet, and had used the envelopes as scratch paper. After all, such nonsense couldn’t truly mean anything important, could it? Each Master sent a reply back to Professor Dolos, confirming that they would arrive at the island on the 6th of August.
Letters - credited to me (leopardspotz17)
Cryptic Notes - brilliantly constructed by akai-pyon.
EDIT (2/21/11): TOURNAMENT START: Note - Prizes are given to round one winners each tournament.
ROUND ONE:
Blake VS Wallace ------ Winner = Wallace. PRIZE - 3 Hyper Potions
Skylar VS Seiji ---------- Winner = Skylar PRIZE - 2 Revives
Jeremy VS Ichiro ------- Winner = Jeremy PRIZE - 3 Max Repels
RANDOM GENERATOR PICK (using magic hat) - Ichiro
ROUND TWO
Blake VS Seiji ----------- Winner = Blake
15 minute penalty, then Seiji goes into maze.
Each Master has 1 hour in the maze. When the hour is up, they will be transported back into the arena. There they wait for all the others to come back once again. Then the next tournament begins. While waiting, Masters will face other challenges... To be announced.
ALSO! Wild pokemon can be found in the maze. They are unnaturally strong and strange in nature. Battling them can result in injury... It is best to run and evade. Some wild pokemon, however will pose challenges... Ask questions. Like the sphinx, either you answer the pokemon correctly or it will attack you. akai-pyon and I will set up these pokemon to encounter the Masters and also give the riddles.
FINALLY - General idea of the maze. The maze is split up into different sections. Each sections is specific to a certain pokemon-type. No signs or written information will alert the Masters to which section they enter into. Only clues they can pick up in their surrounding environment can hint at where they are. Each Master has a door that opens up into a different section. It is up to each writer the decide where their Master enters out. Their doors have colored light-bulbs above his or her door:
Kade - Pink
Ichiro - Indigo
Blake - Violet
Seiji - White
Jeremy - Red
Skylar - Light Blue
Wallace - Green
Rules
2. All roleplayers MUST be active. This will be moving at a fast pace, once we start up. So, look alive.
3. When battling, we'll have to work out a system - I don't want anything like, "Gyarados used Hyper Beam, and his opponent fell instantly." That's irritating to everyone. It also falls under the category of godmoding. To decide who wins a battle, we (the Game Masters) will flip a coin. To make battles interesting, the two battling people can collaborate to make one battle post. This is why it's important to be active! You can talk to each other through the OOC section or by simply PMing one another. That way, you won't have to make 50 posts just to have a pokémon battle. Work together, and get it done in one post!
4. You must have good grammar and spelling skills. Posts don't have to be perfect, but too many mistakes can be very distracting, if not annoying. So, check your work!
5. Always speak in the 3rd person and past tense.
6. No one sentence posts. It doesn't have to be a huge multi-paragraph post, but try to fully participate. Pay attention to what others are doing, and maybe invest in some detail.
7. No Mary-Sue's/ Gary-Stu's. These are too-perfect characters that have no flaws. While your character is a Master, that doesn't mean that he or she is infallible. Give them some faults! Ex. A drinking problem, Egotism, Sadism, Suicidal Thoughts... Something. Or, if your character is morally sound, perhaps they have some other challenges to fight with. Ex. Mental disorders, lame leg, etc. Be creative.
8. Please use the Character Spreadsheet.
9. Respect and listen to the Game Masters: akai-pyon and myself (leopardspotz17)
10. Refrain from posting for now! I'll alert all players for when the RP is officially beginning. As you may have noticed, not all the information about this roleplay is detailed up above. That's because I want to keep a sense of mystery in the air. I want to be able to truly include you all in the surprise. Although, you may have pieced things together using the description and title... :)
That's all for now. Use good judgement while writing! Also, have fun.

OOC Notes
"This place is absolutely brilliant, don't you think?" Blake directed the question towards Damien. The ghost pokemon was already lying in the sand, a content look plastered onto his grinning face. Blake chuckled and threw a small smooth rock at her Gengar. Damien made a sound of protest, shooting her a look.
What was that for? he pouted, rubbed his head in emphasis. Blake just rolled her eyes.
"We were invited here to meet Professor Dolos. So get off your behind!" Blake smirked. Damien stuck out his tongue before getting up off the beach. Blake took a moment to look around.
The island was fairly large - just smaller than Cinnabar Island in the Kanto region. The island was flat for the most part, providing a smooth surface for sandy beaches. But closer to the middle of the island, the terrain seemed to grow more hilly... As far as Blake could tell. Tropical plants swayed gently in the breeze, holding vibrant hues of green, red, blue... there were too many colors to count. The waters surrounding Conferos were calm and clear - blue and bright like the cloudless sky. Blake soaked up the beauty of it all. She loved living in Ecruteak, but sometimes the city can wear you out. It would be nice to go on vacation for a week.
Damien poked her in the side roughly. He pointed up to a large stone castle sitting at the top of one of the hills. It was enormous and made out of a pearly white stone - probably marble. It was clear that the professor was very well off. Blake let out a low whistle.
"Wow. And I thought my parents were loaded." A bitter note slipped through into Blake's voice. But Damien salvaged her mood. He had plucked the black cap off her head and was running away with it. She laughed and chased after him, nearly tripping in the sand. Finally, he stopped and placed the hat back on her head, grinning. Blake was panting with the effort of laughing and running through sand at the same time. At last, she remembered where she was supposed to be going.
"Right. We'd better go greet our host. It'll be getting dark pretty soon anyways," Blake said, looking to the sun sitting low in the sky. In about an hour it would begin to dip below the horizon. It was amazing how long the days could become in the summer. Blake had arrived at about 6:30. The letter she had received instructed her that she should be at the island between 6 and 8 pm. Dinner would be served once all the Masters had entered the mansion.
Blake began the trek up from the beach to the professor's home, expecting the walk to be fairly long. But as soon as she left the beach, she found a man waiting with an ATV. He waited for her to walk over.
"Good Evening. I have been instructed to drive you to the house." His voice sounded strange. There was no inflection or tone whatsoever. It was almost as if he was a robot. Damien looked oddly at the driver, a little unsure about his mental health. Blake shrugged it off, however. She had met many strange people, but they were usually fine. She looked to her Gengar.
"Damien, you can follow us okay, right?" she asked. Damien rolled his eyes. Of course he could. He grinned at Blake as he disappeared seemingly into midair. Blake new that he had merely melted into the shadows of the tree line. Ah, how she loved the abilities of ghost pokemon.
Without saying a single word, her driver took Blake up to the house. The drive was about 15 minutes long and was spent in silence. The driver merely nodded as she exited the vehicle when they had reached the mansion. Damien reappeared, glancing once again at the strange driver. But the man took no heed, and just drove back down to the beach where he would pick up the next arriving Master. Blake jogged up the front steps of the castle and met yet another man standing at the door.
This one appeared to be a butler. He was standing next to a strange looking contraption. Said machine was connected to the white marble wall of the castle. The machine was made up of five clear glass tubes that stretched up the side of the mansion. Sitting directly under the tubes were round cups that looked like upside-down domes. Blake's gaze travelled up the tubes, finally stopping where they curved into the wall disappeared from sight.
"Welcome to Conferos. May I take your 5 other pokemon please? It is for security purposes," the man at the door said. Blake frowned, hand traveling protectively towards her belt where her minimized pokeballs were attached.
"No one said anything about taking my pokemon," Blake said, eyeing the butler suspiciously. But, like the driver, the man made no expression and held no tone.
"I'm afraid the professor was very clear that the pokemon of the Masters were to be very protected. The machine to my right will take your pokeballs and deposit them straight into your room. The professor will give you the key to your room as soon as he meets you for dinner. This way, no loose-handed servants will be able to snatch your pokemon," the butler said. His eyes were flat - no flicker of emotion was anywhere to be seen.
Blake sighed. Well, if the professor truly insisted on it, she'd oblige. Reluctantly, Blake handed over her five pokeballs. Damien was supposed to remain out - Professor Dolos had mentioned that he wanted to see one of her pokemon. Almost mechanically, the butler took her 5 pokeballs and tapped the buttons. Each ball enlarged to normal size. He placed each of them in a holding spot underneath each tube. Then he turned to a panel of buttons that Blake hadn't noticed before. He pushed the third button and a whirring noise started up. Almost instantly, Blake's pokeballs were sucked up the glass tubes, disappearing into the building.
With that, the butler opened up the door for Blake and ushered her in. All along the hallway, servants pointed her in the right direction. Within about five minutes Blake had entered a formal dining room. It was large and spacious, walls and floor still made up of that shining white marble. A huge sparkling chandelier hung above the obsidian table. Four chairs were lined up on either side of the table, with two at the opposite heads. Blake looked down at her attire.
She was wearing only her baggy, tan cargo-pants and a faded black hoodie. Along with her ripped up purple converses, Blake most definitely did not blend in with the elegance of the dining room. She chuckled aloud, fingering the brim of her hat. Blake strode over and sat in a chair near the end of the table and waited for the other Masters to arrive.
OOC Notes
Jeremy nodded his thanks to the boatman for all his troubles, stalking down the pier and onto the soft sand. He spotted a set of shoe prints leading away from the wooden pier, followed by a set of pokemon prints that he couldn't recognise. He heard the pad of heavy paws behind him as the dark shape of Torment followed him loyally. A splash from the beach followed Rage's spectacular burst from the water. Glittering in the sun he arched in the air, twisting his lithe body, enjoying the moment of free flight. With a whistle Jeremy gathered his companions to follow him as he walked up the beach. As they mounted a crest he had his first, unobstructed view of the island up close. The castle stood majestically over the peaceful, abundant tropical surroundings. The whole scene had a fantastical, unreal feel to it. This illusion was broken by the sight of a four wheel drive parked nearby. A man stood motionless nearby the vehicle.
Jeremy wandered over, still taking in the beauty of the tropical hideaway. As he approached the man he prepared to introduce himself. Yet, instead of exchanging introductions the man spoke suddenly. "Good Evening. I have been instructed to drive you to the house." Were his words, without a touch of tone and emotion. They gave Mystic little pause, he could pull off such a emotionless state if he was in the mood. However, Torment and Rage were not so comfortable with the hollow voice and they eyed the driver with suspicion. The driver for his part did not respond in any way, simply opening the door for Jeremy. The boy muttered a thanks, although to speak to the robotic man felt awkward. Before the door closed Mystic leant out of the door and shouted "race you there" with a grin on his face. The pokemon perked up when they heard the challenge, despite their differences everyone of them enjoyed a good competition.
The ATV started with a rumble and the five pokemon shot off. Powerful shapes of the canine-like creatures bounding across the gentle slopes towards their destination, above them the flitting shape of Shred zipped out of sight. Trumping them all with his incredible speed. The vehicle feel behind as the pokemon rushed away towards the glittering white mansion. The driver not saying a word or even indicating a registration of the proceeding race. The journey was short and Jeremy was welcomed by his five exhausted and enegrised pokemon as he climbed out the vehicle and shrugging his bag back over his shoulder. He walked calmly up the steps towards the man waiting there. He recognised the man as a butler, following the usual stereotypical image. Next to the door was a strange contraption, although Mystic paid no attention to it as the butler spoke, asking for most of the pokemon to be returned to their balls and handed over for 'safe keeping.' The request took the teen by surprise and immediately he recoiled, backing towards his pokemon protectively. They did not like the idea either and growled in their own ways, warning the emotionless butler off.
"The invitation said nothing about giving my pokemon away." Jeremy smooth tenor voice accused, eyes watching the unresponsive butler carefully. The man didn't move and repeated his request.
"The professor specifically requested that your pokemon be stored in your room immediately for safe keeping. You will be given access to your room directly by the professor." Torment huffed at this comment, echoing Mystic's argument.
"Do you really think they need protecting? They can take care of themselves."
"This is what the professor requested sir. I am unable to allow you entrance unless you agree."
"Then bring the professor here then and I'll talk to him about it." Mystic snapped, annoyed. He looked hard at the butler with narrowed eyes. However it was hard to stare down emotionless pools and the teen had to look away.
"Please sir, the professor requests it for the safety of your pokemon." The butler repeated for the third time, with no more or no less inflection then previously. He still had not moved from his post in front of the door. Jeremy shook his head, signing his final declaration of stubbornness. He stepped back down the stairs to the entrance and simply stood.
"I'm not giving my pokemon up unless the professor can convince me otherwise." Was his final word before he clammed up. He stood unmoving, waiting as the sky darkened and the sound of a engine returned, no doubt transporting another master to the the mansion.
OOC Notes
The emotionless butler turned to look at at him and with little emotion in his voice "Welcome to Conferos. May I take your 5 other Pokemon please? It is for security purposes," Wallace's stared at the man oddly as he grabbed the five Pokeballs off his belt and handed them to the man simply staring at him as he placed them in the strange machine and they were sucked up, he had no idea where they were going, but seeing as he had no choice he just obliged. "The machine to my right will take your pokeballs and deposit them straight into your room. The professor will give you the key to your room as soon as he meets you for dinner."
The man open the door to the lavish manor, as Wallace walked inside he looked back at the man with one last comment to him as the doors shut " I better be getting them back soon, for security purposes,". Wallace looked around the manor it looked like a larger version of the villa he lived in the battle frontier, "Mr.Stone's actual house is probably something like this, seeing as lavish that villa I lived in was. There's no doubt in my mind now this guy is more than just a Pokemon researcher, not even Oak's stuff is this crazy from the pictures i saw in Rowan's album. I guess we go that way" Wallace said as he looked down the hallway filled of servants. Wallace and Infernape walked down the long hallway and reached doors of what he assumed to be the dining room, as the doors opened he could see what looked more like a conference table then a dining table, the table had ten chairs but Wallace was only able to account for nine of them the eight masters and the professor , who was this mysterious tenth person to be joining them, Wallace looked at the small poem once again, maybe it was more important than he thought. taking a middle seat and looked next to him to see the master who made it to the mansion first. It was a girl with a Gengar, from here attire Wallace assumed no dress code was in order for the dinner and was unable to determine her region of origin from her Pokemon, and so decided introduce himself sticking his hand out, " Hello, I am Wallace Walker from the Sinnoh region, and you are?"...

The Arcanine, leaned lightly against her, a source of warmth and comfort. Kade was no stranger to the Orange Islands, even if the last time she had visited the islands was four years ago to see if she could spot the three legendary birds. But the Orange Islands were in Kanto. This was her region. She was one of the Pokemon Masters here and Kanto was one she knew by heart. The pink-haired girl cast a glance around.
"Think we can make it that far?" she asked Resonance, pointing to the mansion that seemed rather...in the distance for now. Resonance looked back at her, a small tongue of fire leaping out of his muzzle in his derision.
What do you think I am? A Growlithe? He stayed close by her side, matching her step for step as they climbed up the beach. Kade could tell the Fire Pokemon was getting a tad uncomfortable in the heat, what with all his fur and all the fire burning in the Pokemon's belly.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Kade rolled her eyes, before looking up to meet the gaze of a man who stood next to an ATV. When he spoke, there was no emotion to his voice. He told her to get in, that the professor had sent him down to bring her up. "It's fine," Kade blinked. "Res and I can make it by ourselves..."
"I was told to bring you in the car."
"Well....if you insist...." Kade looked slightly confused, as she nodded to Resonance. "Just...run alongside the car, kay?" she kissed the side of his muzzle, as he let out a low whine. "I'll be fine," Kade insisted as she swung into the front seat. When the car started moving, Resonance was right next to it, long legs and strong muscles allowing the large Pokemon to keep up with the car.
"Woah Hayato!" Seiji called out as the Skarmory swooped down too close to a tree. The Steel/Flying Pokemon seemed to snicker, before he pulled up, landing gracefully on the driveway in front of the massive mansion. "You know, you could have just dropped me off at the beach," Seiji told the Skarmory as Kaori unfolded from his lap and jumped down lithely onto the ground.
Hayato shrugged, rolling his shoulders as he spread his wings, stretching. Seiji held out Hayato's Ultra Ball and the Skarmory returned easily. He looked up at the sound of a vehicle, jumping out of the way when an Arcanine and an ATV went by. Seiji looked at the Arcanine, whistling softly under his breath. He resisted the urge to whip out his old, but still reliable, Pokedex. He wasn't a trainer anymore. He was a Master.
A pink haired girl stepped out of the car, speaking in low tones to the Arcanine as the ATV went by him again. Seiji ran forward as Kaori loped at his side, her forked tail flicking back and forth.
"Hi," Seiji greeted the girl. She turned to look at him, as did her Arcanine, who growled low in his throat. Seiji blanched, as Kaori purred in amusement. "I'm Seiji Kazeko of the Johto region." It felt weird, saying his first name first, but that's how they did it in most of the regions. It was probably just his hometown or something. He held out his hand. "And the Espeon is Kaori."
"Kadence Riddell. You can just call me Kade," the girl took it. Seiji was rather surprised by her firm handshake, and she seemed to notice this. There was a rather pleased smirk on her face as her Arcanine sat down, fluffy tail wagging slowly back and forth. "Kanto Champion. This is Resonance."
Seiji nodded slowly, before retracting his hand. He motioned to the front door. "Shall we get going then?" he asked.
Kade nodded and the two of them ascended the steps, Kaori and Resonance making friends already. It was hard to resist Kaori's friendliness. Upon reaching the door, they noticed another trainer standing there, stiff with his back to them. Seiji frowned, as he was told that five of his Pokemon were to be taken for safekeeping.
He had to have it repeated to be sure, as Kade stared at the butler warily. "This isn't some sick joke, is it?" the girl asked, her voice soft and deadly. "Because if it is, this entire place is burning to the ground."
"There are people here who are more than willing to take a Master's Pokemon. This machine will send the Pokeballs straight to your locked room."
Kade bit her lip, as she looked down in agony at the minimized Pokeballs in her hand. "Fine," she sighed, handing them over. Seiji did as well, silently, his eyes watching them go. They would be in his room later, he told himself. He would see them again. Really, though, Seiji was most worried about Naoki. The Umbreon did not enjoy being away from his sister for far too long.
The two of them were let in, and that's when Seiji realized that the other guy must have refused to give his Pokemon to the butler. Seiji shrugged. There was no other choice - they were already here anyway and it was only respectful to obey the wishes of the host. They were led to a dining room, in which there were already two people. Seiji took a seat, Kaori jumping up onto the table and crouching down. Kade looked at the others, noticing a Gengar and an Infernape.

Ichiro didnt get much sleep. He had missed his plan coming here from Japan, and it was a good thing his father allowed him to use the private jet. Luckily, he was able to get some sleep on the boat... but that really wasnt enough.
The Island looked... somewhat peaceful. Maybe this was going to be a great vacation after all. By the looks of the footprints on the sand, he wasnt the first to arrive. Not that he cared anyways. Fixing the headphones around his neck, Ichiro jumped down from his boat, and looked up. "Thanks for the ride Gorou-san." he said with a small nod. The man bowed, a smile still fixed on his lips, "No anytime sir. Please do take care."
"No need to worry about be." Ichiro muttered, waving his hands in the air. There was a red beam of light, before his Pikachu popped out of his pokeball.
"Pikachu~!" greeted, putting up his small hands.
"Pikachu... how many times do I have to tell you? Stop getting out of your pokeball like that." the trainer mumbled with a sigh.
"Pika pika?" it questioned tilting his head to the side. Ichiro placed a hand on his head, but couldnt help smiling. "I promise to let you have fun later." he said pulling out his pokeball, allowing his Pikachu to disappear back into the ball.
Gorou laughed before getting the boat motor started. "Have fun." was all he said before leaving. Watching as the boat disappeared into the distance, Ichiro placed his hands behind his head and looked around. "Which way...." he asked himself.
Just than a large dragon like pokemon landed behind him, letting out a loud snort. "Ah, Charizard. Glade you joined me. Did you get lost?" he asked tilting his head back. The Charizard simply looked away from him, as if embarrassed to admit the truth. Ichiro chuckled, "Hey, it's okay. Everyone makes mistakes right?" He jumped onto the Charizard's back, "Well, lets go look for our host." Without a second of hesitation, the large pokemon lifted up into the air, flying over the sand. They really didnt have to fly too far, and spotted an ATV waiting.
As Charizard came close to land, Ichiro easily jumped off and looked at the man. The driver looked back, giving him a small bow, but with no emotion whatsoever. "Master Ichiro?" he asked. When the boy nodded, he told him to get in. "I was told to drive you to the house." he added as Ichiro slipped in. "Hey Charizard follow this car okay?" With one nod, his pokemon flew into the air, disappearing into the darkening clouds.
When they got to the house, Ichiro got out and stretched. "Uh, thank you." he said before the man was already driving away. This place was strange, and gave him weird vibes, but he shook the thought away. Maybe he was just imagining things. As his Charizard landed besides him, all the worries shook off. "I guess this is it..' Ichiro mumbled stuffing a hand in his pocket. He looked over to the entrance, seeing a guy, probably his age, just standing there. It seemed like he was arguing with the butler. He looked at his Charizard, and the same time the two shrugged.
Without much warning, he walked over and raised an eyebrow. The butler... he didnt have any emotions either. Okay, that was it, he didnt like this man, or that driver guy. "Hayashi Ichiro from Kanto... I was invited here.." he said, looking directly at into the butlers eyes.
"Welcome Master Ichiro. Please hand your pokeballs for security purposes." the butler said, though to him, it sounded more like a demand. Ichiro's eyes narrowed slightly, "The letter said nothing about that. I dont trust anyone with my pokemon besides myself."
"This is what the Professor requested." the butler replied dully. Now Ichiro knew why the other guy was standing there, refusing to go in. Handing his pokemons for security purposes? Wasnt this supposed to be a nice vacation for him and his pokemons? Not to mention... these people seemed weird, and he didnt trust them.
His Charizard growled from behind him. He too didnt seem to like the idea of being away from Ichiro for even a second.
"You may not enter unless you follow the Professors order." the butler warned.
Clenching his hands into a fist, Ichiro sighed and grabbed all his pokeballs. "Fine.. whatever. But they better be back into my hands the moment I step into that house... and Charizard is going to stay with me. If not, I'll gladly leave this place." he said firmly. The butler nodded, "Very well. You may have your Charizard out with you." he said. Ichiro hesitated before placing his pokeballs on his machine.
He looked over at Jeremy, and if he remembered correctly, this guy was from Hoenn. He had never met him personally, and just heard about him. "Hey, it's not going to do you any good by just standing there. I'm sure everyone had to do this... and as much as I hate it, this guy probably wont let us in unless we do what is asked of us. If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure they'll allow you to take in one pokemon." Ichiro spoke up.

"Knock it off! You don't to make any more rivals," Blake murmured, smirking. Damien just snickered and continued staring. The guy walked up and took a seat next to Blake. He looked at her and stuck out his hand.
"Hello, I am Wallace Walker from the Sinnoh region, and you are?" Blake took his outstretched hand and shook it firmly.
"Blake Douglas. Johto region," she said simply. She motioned to her Gengar with a jerk of her head.
"This is Damien." The ghost pokemon looked up to Blake at the mention of his name. He had still been staring creepily at the Infernape. Blake rolled her eyes, although she was amused. She looked back at Wallace. She supposed she should make some form of conversation. She clicked her tongue and her eyes wandered around the dining room.
"Some place this is, huh?" Blake gestured to the grand room they were sitting in.
"This professor must really be something..." she trailed off. She was a little unnerved. The vast castle felt so empty. And she was uncomfortable without the rest of her pokemon. She kept fingering her belt where the balls should have been safely secured.

Before he began his trip towards the glorious mansion he saw, he released his Medicham. "C'mon Mindstrike." Sky said as he headed for the mansion. Walking side by side they followed a trail of footprints which lead to a man with an ATV. "Good Evening. I have been instructed to drive you to the house." The man said in a monotone voice. The mans odd voice caught Sky offguard but he didn’t really pay attention to it. Mindstrike looked at Sky and pointed to an alternative path, which was much more rugged. Sky shrugged, "If you want to go that way you can, but I’m not." Sky said as he sat on the back of the ATV. Medicham nodded and took off before Sky could get out any last words. "Training, training, training, that’s all he ever does." He said to the man as the engine started up. There was no reply but Sky figured the man just didn't hear him.
As they neared the mansion, Sky could see Mindstrike standing there waiting in front of the huge house. The ATV came to a complete stop, right next Mindstrike." Thank you." Sky said politely as he got off of the vehicle. Sky wondered how his Medicham got there before him. Mindstrike patted Sky on the shoulder and they walked up the stairs to enter the house. They passed a kid protesting about his pokemon. "Wonder what that is about." He whispered to Mindstrike. Mindstrike shrugged. As they reached the front door he was stopped by a man in servents attire. "Welcome to Conferos. May I take your 5 other pokemon please? It is for security purposes" The man said as he opened up some ackward contraption. Sky was hesitant but put the rest of his pokeballs in the machine. He didnt think to much of it since this seemed like such a formal and respectful place. As he followed Mindstrike inside the threshold, Sky pointed towards a large table where a couple of people were already associating. He walked towards the table, and took a seat not interupting the conversation that was being held. Mindstrike sat on the floor and began to meditate. "Now what." He said as he picked leftover sand grains off of his shirt.

He began to doubt his insistence to remain outside. They others who passed were clearly masters themselves and they agreed to surrender their pokemon. Perhaps it would be possible to pass the pokemon onto the butler, the other masters trusted him, or at least the professor, enough to do so. He played the notion over in his mind, taking strands of his black hair and playing his thin fingers through them. He didn't notice Fury usher his pokemon to one side, he was used to them doing their own thing. He was pulled from his thoughts, still undecided, as the ATV returned. A boy stepped out, roughly Jeremy's height and age and unusual in his own way with oddly coloured hair. Soon after the boy's arrival a large red dragon thudded into the ground nearby; his pokemon obviously. The Charizard was awe inspiring, going beyond Jeremy's expectations. Since he was a child he dreamed of encountering one of these marvelous fire breathers. He watched again as the boy encountered the butler and faced the challenge. Again, he handed over his pokemon reluctantly. Unlike the others that entered earlier he turned back to and encouraged Mystic to agree to the butlers demands.
Mystic ran through the scenario again. Mentally he finally agreed to enter, to him it sounded like a challenge. One he would take up and overcome. Turning around to his pokemon he prepared to announce his decision. However, one glance proved that they had beaten him to it. Behind his back through looks and body language they had accepted returning to the confinement of their pokeballs. Jeremy couldn't help but grin a little, they knew him as well as he knew them. Going to each one in turned he spent a intimate touch or whisper before returning them to their black and red spheres. Soon the five pokemon that generally accompanied him were contained, leaving only his beloved Fury. He held the minimized pokeballs in his hands, closing his eyes for a moment of solace before returning to confront the butler. Jeremy wordlessly them in the emotionless man's hand, bading a silent goodbye to each of them in turn. With each miniature ball he removed from his hand he felt as if he was loosing a small part of himself. Even Rage, whom Jeremy still had yet to know intimately. The only thing preventing the boy from snatching the balls back was the warm, comforting presence of Fury against his side. Jeremy was through the door before the butler even deposited his pokemon in the tubes. He didn't know if he had left the new arrival behind or if the boy had gone ahead. His world was temporarily confined to the comfort of Fury. In a way it reminded him of his youth, when Fury was just a Vulpix and his only pokemon. He clung to the that thought as he ran his hand through the fire pokemon's orange fur, bringing a smile back to his lips.
He was silently guided to the dining hall, where the chaos of many discussions broke into reality. He silently moved away from the door, settling himself next to the owner of the Arcanine who had passed him before. He looked around, brown gaze running over all the other masters in the room as he smoothed down his black shirt. There was a woman who looked like the most extreme rebel possible, more at home in a biker gang with her baggy clothes. She was engaged in a conversation with an average looking young man, who carried himself with the air of a master. There was a extremely young looking blond boy although his eyes and posture suggested that he was just as capable as the rest of them. Then there was the two that passed before. The boy was adorned with silver hair and almost formal clothing. Although his stature was shorter then usual he was rather well built. The girl was his opposite, her hair was bright pink and cut like her clothes, chaotically. She was also small, but more slender and delicate. Thrall remembered her threat at the entrance and the fact she was a master. He came to the opinion that she was tougher then she looked. He didn't recognise any of the faces. Although he had heard of many masters of the other regions he could only place them by name and not by sight. As her master was observing the others Fury was busy attempting to acquaint herself with Resonance. She padded over lightly to the other and offered a light bark of greeting.

Blake was now walking around the room trying to make conversation, talking about architecture of the building, though to Wallace it wasn't anything special, he lived in a "small" villa of Hoenn's Stone family , which was actually bigger than his own house, while training in the battle frontier. "He is definitely loaded, but living in a Jubilife City and a Stone family villa, i have seen this design before not as grand though," Wallace told her, but could easily tell she was uneasy and it was probably due to her lack of trust in this whole situation. "Honestly even if this is a plot to take our Pokemon I don't care," Wallace took a long pause "I have most of those guys since they were eggs and if not i got them very young, and all of them got their own flow and barely listen to me sometimes, but I know if this place is trouble they'll take it down getting back to Infernape and Me, the rowdy bunch they are." Wallace often though of his Pokemon like a gang of street thugs, and they very well could be, a quick image of them in black leather jackets passed through his head and a small smirk came over his face.
"Oh! Wait you said Johto right, then would you have a Pokege..." Wallace began his next question as two more people in one was a rather short boy, who seemed to be around his age, he was followed by an Espeon, this being the second Espeon he has seen on his adventure and if it could hold a light to Lucian's Espeon, it would be interesting. The other was a girl Wallace recognized, she was in Sunnyshore the last time he went to pick up seals, for his mother and happened to bump in to Jasmine, the girl had an Arcanine it looked tough and Wallace always liked matching of same Pokemon since his victory over Cynthia. Shortly following the two was a young looking blond boy, accompanied by a Medicham, he just sat down and waited for their he may not looked as much but it was not the trainer's looks that matter, but their skills and spirits. Soon after followed a rather feminine looking trainer yet he was accompanied by a Ninetails and an intimidating aura, all these people, were hiding their true spirits after all they're not battling " Yo, I'm Wallace Walker from the Sinnoh Region, and that is my Infernape." Wallace introduced himself to the new comers, he wanted to them to remember as kind after he won the tournament. As everybody looked him, Wallace kinda wish he had his Lucario with him to know if they could be trusted. A quick face mental face palm occurred at the thought as he could have used that to determine the trustworthiness of the butler and the strange machine.

Kade was busy looking at the others, observing them and seeing if there were any that she recognized. The room was filling up fast, both with Masters and their Pokemon. From what she could see, Resonance appeared to be the largest one in the room. Again, she was reminded of how inconvenient it could be to have such a large Pokemon hate his Pokeball....But then again, she kind of liked having such a large Pokemon. It made the gap left behind by her other five less significant. She kept touching the strap of her bag, jolting in shock every time she felt nothing, before remembering that they were in her room.
She cast a glance at the pale blond boy, who had a Medicham with him. Fighting Pokemon? she thought. If the Medicham is anything to go by, the boy must be from Hoenn.
She stood up, glancing pointedly at Resonance, for the Arcanine had just attempted to follow her. Another whine left his throat, before he flopped to the floor, casting a lazy glance over at Fury.
((Note: This is Pokemon speak. Only Pokemon understand Pokemon speak. XD))
"Name's Resonance. Kanto. What's yours?" The Arcanine asked Fury.
Kade wandered over to the blond boy, sitting down next to him. "Hey," she greeted, noticing some sand on his shirt. She chuckled. "Yeah, the sand can be brutal. I'm Kade. Champion of Kanto."
Seiji frowned, as Kaori trotted over to the Gengar and the girl with the Gengar. "Kaori..." Seiji hissed, getting out of his seat and following the Espeon. "It's rude to interrupt someone's conversation."
Kaori flicked her tail - she didn't care. She sat down, tail curling around to rest on her dainty paws. "Hi," she greeted the Gengar and the Infernape. "I'm Kaori."
Seiji face-palmed, before listening in on the conversation between the rebellious-looking girl and the boy dressed in the nicer clothing. He fixed his jacket, before finding himself answering the girl's question. "It is an interesting place," he agreed. "Although....I think taking five of our Pokemon is a little extreme." He was now extremely worried for Naoki...and Reizo...and Aki...and Hayato....and Kaitou. Well, he was the least worried about the Lapras. Kaitou knew how to take care of himself.
Reizo, on the other hand, disdained being trapped in a Pokeball.

Ichiro on the other hand felt empty without his other pokemon. It was possible that his Pikachu can pop out of his pokeball again. Rubbing the side of his neck, he leaned against the wall. His eyes caught a sight of a girl with an Arcanine. "From Kanto...?" he mumbled to himself. Ichiro observed the others as well. Like the letter had mentioned, everyone was from a different region. It seemed like there was two from each. "Interesting..." Now the question was... where was this professor who had called them together? Surely the host was supposed to show himself, was he not?
If there was one other thing he had notice.. was the fact that most of the trainers here seemed to be around a fire type. No wonder Charizard seem so tense. Without thinking, Ichiro letted out a small chuckle. His Charizard looked down at his master, cocking his head to the side, wondering what was so funny. "Dont mind me." Ichiro said with a smirk. "And try to get along with the others.. The last thing I want is everyone to think we're the enemy."

Blake had snorted at Wallace's comments and questions. Diamond in the rough... psh. Damien's eyes narrowed as the Infernape countered with a glare.
Challenge accepted, Damien thought, sinful smile widening.
"Have you ever seen a Celebi or Ho-oh?" Blake began to grin. Ho-oh... A legendary pokemon of whom she was acquainted with. She did live in Ecruteak after all. Plus, through hanging around with Morty, Blake met his eccentric friend Eugene. The man was obsessed with the legendary dogs, first and foremost Suicune. Although Celebi, she had only heard rumors of. One had to be very special to even catch sight of the time-traveling pokemon. Blake snapped herself out of her thoughts, realizing that Wallace was still talking.
"I have only met one other person from Johto, a steel-trainer named Jasmine- she was quite taken by the lighthouse in Sunnyshore City saying it reminded her of home," Wallace said. Blake brightened a bit at the mention of Jasmine. Yes, Blake clearly remembered that gym challenge. In fact, when she had come to Olivine City she had been met with a problem. She immediately had gone to the Gym to challenge Jasmine, but was informed that the Steel Leader was in the Glitter Lighthouse. After a long trek up towards the top - the elevator was broken - Blake finally made it to Jasmine. It turned out that Amphy, the Ampharos that powered the lighthouse, was sick. A long trip to Cianwood City and back later, Blake was able to battle Jasmine. They had a sort of friendship. After all, Amphy and Nessa had gotten along quite well.
Through her reminiscing, Blake only caught spare phrases and words coming from Wallace. From what she was listening to, he was kind of a stuck-up idiot. Oh well, when she beat him he'd have to come down off his high Rapidash.
"Oh! Wait you said Johto right, then would you have a Pokege-" Wallace was interrupted with the new arrivals. Five more masters had entered. Four boys and one girl...
Ugh, what's with the lack of strong women, huh? Blake thought in agitation. Her earlier question still hung in the air. One of the guys answered it.
"It is an interesting place," he said. "Although....I think taking five of our Pokemon is a little extreme." Blake couldn't help but agree. She looked at the boy with the silver hair... Something was familiar about him. She couldn't quite place it.
"I'd better be able to get them soon... I mean really? Who hires thieving servants?" Blake exhaled in irritation, wanting nothing more than to have all her pokemon in her line of sight. She nodded towards he boy who had spoken.
"I'm Blake Douglas. Johto Master. That Gengar is Damien." Blake smiled at the boy's Espeon. It was adorable... She wondered how it would hold up in battle. She loved the ghost vs psychic battles - they were both weak to each other. In the end, it came down to raw speed. Suddenly, while looking at the Espeon, Blake realized why she recognized the other Master.
"Wait a second. Seji? That's why I feel like I've seen you before. You were in the Ecruteak paper. Latest champion... I can't wait to battle with you. Johto Master to Johto Master." Blake laughed. She was getting amped up. She turned to look at the others who had come in.
There was a gothic looking guy with a sleek Ninetales at his side. Standing close to him, was another Master with messy indigo hair and a giant Charizard. A little ways away, the other girl Master stood with her Arcanine.
Jeez, throw in the Infernape and we've got what? Four fire pokemon? Goodness, it's gonna get hot in here, Blake mused.
The last trainer Blake saw was a short blonde boy. He was kind of cute. Blake also appreciated that she was no longer the shortest person in the room. The pink-haired girl and the blonde boy were speaking. Blake found herself liking the girl already. She appreciated her style - asymmetrical. She stuck her hands in the pockets of her cargo pants, and walked over to her.
"Hey, all. I'm Blake - Johto Master." She smiled at them both. By now, Blake was itching for a battle. She could feel the power sizzling in the air... Blake wasn't usually all smiles, but she loved battling. The challenges here were so tempting.
Hell with dinner! Let's get right to the point! she thought, playing with Damien's ball that was still sitting in her pocket. At least she only had to wait on one more Master... then maybe they could get to battling.
Meanwhile, Damien himself was meeting with the other pokemon.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Damien made an exaggerated bow towards Kaori. But the physical structure of a Gengar was not meant for bows. Thus, Damien tottered over onto the floor. The ghost pokemon was laughing, red eyes glinting with mirth. He sat up and looked at the Infernape.
"Loosen up, man. May as well relax before I destroy you in battle!" Damien snickered and winked. He looked up and around to the other pokemon within the room.
Huh, looks like I'm surrounded by a bunch of hot-heads, Damien thought, looking at all the fire-types. The Arcanine and Ninetales seemed to be in conversation already. So Damien waved over the Charizard and Medicham.
"Hey! You two!" He waved in a demanding fashion, still smiling. The grin never seemed to leave his face.

While he was observing the room and the trainers, he was greeted by another girl. " Just my luck." He thought. She was more of a tomboy, which still didn't cure his shyness. “Hello, I'm Sky, Hoenn Master." He said in the same soft voice he did before. You could here Mindstrike chuckle below him while he was meditating." Yea whatever Mindstrike." Sky thought while glaring at the pokemon.
Mindstrike's meditation was interrupted by another pokemon. Mindstrike opened to find a Gengar."Hello my name is Mindstrike nice to meet you." He said respectfully as he realeased his meditating form and began to relax. " Might i ask what your name is?" The Medicham said as he stretched. While waiting for a reply, Mindstrike began to look around to see who else was here. As he looked to his left, he was met by a gigantic red Charizard. To his right were others. Mindstrike was too amazed by the size of the Huge Charizard to really pay attention to the others. The Medicham was used to being the tall one, always standing next to Skyler.

While Infernape was busy going on his ego trip Wallace was bust counting the people and Pokemon in the room including himself and Infernape of course, "Seven trainers and seven Pokemon and if I heard at the introductions correctly it is the other Sinnoh master that's missing, I wonder who they are?" Wallace looked at the chair his bag was know sitting in holding his spot and looked up at the clock, it was a quarter to eight and the last master still wasn't there, if they held up the dinner and everybody getting their Pokemon back, he wasn't sure what the other trainers would do. Wallace continued to look at the tenth chair it held more mysteries about this than all the other odd things that had been going on. "Maybe it's just nothing" Wallace thought to himself, walked over to the most recent trainer to make his way in the room, his large Charizard interested Wallace more than any of the Pokemon currently in the room, "So what kind of Pokemon you think this Apaté region has, I mean i have never heard of it, you? Oh, I'm Wallace Walker of the Sinnoh Region."
OOC Notes
"Greetings," she giggled lightly, talking to the Medicham. Of course, he seemed distracted by the large Charizard that entered the room, but Kaori wasn't going to let that deter her. "My name is Kaori. I'm from Johto."
Kade looked at the boy, and then over at his Medicham. The Medicham seemed strong enough but the boy...well, Kade decided not to judge the book by its cover. He was, after all, a champion of Hoenn. She looked over at Resonance, who yawned, before sweeping a glance over the rest of the room. "Oh crud," she swore softly. "That's a lot of Fire Pokemon."
Nonetheless, she was glad she had taught Resonance the TM move Dig. It gave him an advantage over other Fire types. Except for maybe the Charizard. Kade toyed with the idea of seeing if she could find a PC to receive Prelude, but...she didn't want to let the others know that Prelude was a shiny and that Prelude, well, that Prelude existed. It was rather selfish, but after the episode at the front door in which she had to give up her other five Pokemon...Kade wasn't sure the mansion was actually that safe.
Kade looked up as another girl walked over. "Kade Riddell," the pink haired master introduced herself. "Kanto. That's Resonance." She pointed to the Arcanine, who was still patiently awaiting Fury's answer.
Seiji whistled softly. There definitely were a lot of Fire Pokemon in the room. He wondered....how would Kaitou react to all of these Pokemon? Kaitou preferred the ocean, the salt water and the winds on his face instead of the stuffiness of indoor pools, but...the Lapras would have to deal. Seiji assumed they had only an indoor pool.
He re-approached the other Johto master, fixing his ponytail as he went.

Charizard looked over, his teal green eyes staring at the Gengar. Every other pokemon seemed to have a name... but he wasnt the type to care. Besides, he liked being called Charizard. Last thing he need was a name like 'Fluffy' or 'Flameball' Just by the thought of it sent weird chills down his back. Well, since his trainer didnt seemed to have any problem with the people here, he thought why not try making some... friends? Stretching out his wings, the Charizard took one step towards the other two pokemon. "Hello...." he greeted, trying to sound friendly. Eh, at least he tried, right?
Ichiro turned to look at his Charizard, hearing one loud thump. At first, he thought his pokemon was trying to pick a fight.. but it seemed like they were just... sharing a friendly conversation. Smiling, Ichiro fixed the headphones around his neck, leaving his pokemon alone. Infernape, Arcanine, Charizard, and Ninetails.. he wondered which one will win in a battle. He eyed all the pokemon before shurgging it off.
After a moment of hesitation, Ichiro walked over to the ground, "Hayashi Ichiro... also from Kanto. Nice to meet you." he greeted. His eyes seemed to focus on Kade for a bit longer, before looking away. "So... does anyone know where these people are keeping the rest of my pokemon?" he asked just out of curiosity. Besides, he wanted the get them back as soon as possible.

"Oh, this is amazing. If my memory is correct, you just became a champion a couple weeks ago... I've heard some crazy things about you, man. We'll have to see which one of us will come out on top, eh?" Blake clapped him on the shoulder in appreciation. Then the girl introduced herself.
"Kade Riddell. Kanto. That's Resonance." She pointed towards her majestic Arcanine. Blake appraised the large fluffy pokemon.
"...Wow. You're pokemon looks so regal. Mine's just a round, purple goofball." Blake glanced back at Damien, who was laughing on the floor. She smirked. It figured. But he could always be counted on to brighten up a situation. Just then, their little group widened. The indigo-haired master was approaching them. Blake nodded in greeting.
"Hayashi Ichiro... also from Kanto. Nice to meet you." Ichiro's gaze seemed to linger on Kade a bit longer than normal. Blake resisted the urge to laugh.
Hm... Romantic island vacation, anyone? she thought. At least Kade and Ichiro would make a very colorful couple! But wait... did blue clash with pink or something? Blake couldn't pretend to know.
"Hiya, Ichiro. I'm Blake. I'm one of the Johto Masters. Seji's the other one. Now where'd he- Aha!" Blake had turned to see that Seji was walking over. She beckoned him towards them quickly.

"Hello, my name is Mindstrike, nice to meet you," the Medicham said, breaking from his meditation. "Might I ask what your name is?"
"I'm Damien. This is Infernape. He's kind of grouchy." Damien spoke the last part in an exaggerated whisper, sure that Infernape could hear him anyway. Damien liked pushing people's buttons.
Next, the gigantic Charizard lumbered over. Damien looked up at the large pokemon in awe. The Charizard looked a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps he wasn't one of the more social pokemon. But that wouldn't deter Damien.
"Hello..." Charizard said in a low voice.
"'Sup? I'm Damien. That's Mindstrike, Kaori, and Infernape." Damien pointed to each pokemon in sequence. "Nice to meet'cha!"
Damien wasn't sure what to do at this point. He was a fairly social pokemon... Even if Blake usually wasn't. But she seemed to be getting along fine. Maybe because the Masters all seemed to be original and because she wanted to get battling. Speaking of battling, Damien was anticipating the fights as well. He loved a good match. While he was thinking about past battles, Damien unconsciously reached up to the top of his head where his Black Glasses were sitting atop his spikes. He took the item off his head and played with it, flipping it over in his hands.
"So... Anyone else bored out of their minds?" Damien asked, flopping down onto the ground. He put the Black Glasses over his eyes and saw all the shadows of the room glow with a purplish hue. Quite the invention... The item allowed him to harness energy from the shadows around him to amp up the power of his Dark attacks.

There was the Gengar who, despite not being the largest pokemon, was gaining most attention with his antics. Mystic had never encountered a Gengar or any of the ghost pokemon's earlier evolutions, although he knew a little about them. There was the large presence of the Charizard of course and the Espeon who paired with the silver-haired master. There was the Medicham who Jeremy assumed belonged to Skyler since he didn't know if the fighting pokemon was native to any other region then Hoenn. The other pokemon there was unrecognisable to Jeremy. He hadn't encountered one in his travels, it looked tough though and seemed to be sizing up the Gengar for a battle. A little grin passed of the boy's face, it would be very interesting to battle these masters. He continued to watch the pokemon, waiting for a spark of action that seemed about to ignite.
Fury bowed her head politely as the larger Arcanine introduced himself.
"I'm am Fury." She yipped, keeping the tone light and friendly, her intelligent eyes taking in the other's bristling, fire red coat. "We're here from Hoenn," She continued, speaking for her master."It is an honour to meet you. If you do not mind my asking, what are you?" She cringed slightly from with a cocked, inquisitive look. The question was awkward and she did not know how the proud pokemon would take it. "We have never traveled beyond Hoenn. We do not know of the inhabitants of Kanto." Despite her cautiousness she held her head high and her marvelous tails erect. Her proud yellow eyes locking onto Resonance's.

He noticed the other trainer with the Japanese name stare just a little bit longer at Kade and half-smiled.
He waved at the others. "Seiji Kazeko," he introduced himself. "And...." he looked around for Kaori. Finding her talking to the Gengar and the Infernape, he pointed at her. "And that's my Espeon, Kaori."
"...Wow. You're pokemon looks so regal. Mine's just a round, purple goofball." Blake glanced back at Damien, who was laughing on the floor.
"Resonance?" Kade raised an eyebrow. Regal? Well, that was certainly a word that many people had used to describe the Arcanine. Sure, the Fire Pokemon was pretty good looking, but Kade had never thought of him as...regal. It just didn't fit the Arcanine.
She looked over at Ichiro, smiling at him. "Kade Riddell," she reintroduced herself, just in case he hadn't heard the first time. But then she paused, hearing the second part of his introduction. "OH! That's why you're so familiar!" she said. "You're a new Kanto champ? Welcome to the ranks," she smirked. "I'm from Kanto too, although my victory was what, two years ago?" she chuckled. "I'm old news now."
She turned to follow Blake's gaze towards the Pokemon. Resonance was chatting with a Ninetales and Kade smiled slightly. Thank God the Arcanine was loosening up and allowing others to talk to him. She could remember when he was a Growlithe and refused to let anybody near her, even if they were friends.
Kaori flicked her tail, jumping onto Damien's stomach. "Yes!" she complained, noticing the glasses. She flicked her tail. Her Mind Plate was with Seiji, but she could still feel the power from it getting to her.
She looked up at the Charizard, before curling up and resting on Damien's stomach. She flicked her tail again, murmuring softly in amazement at the size of the flying/fire Pokemon.
Resonance barked a rough laugh, before shaking his head. "It's no problem," he replied easily. "I am an Arcanine. My trainer and I are from Kanto but we have been all over the world."
OOC Notes
"I'm sorry, she gets energetic easily" Jeremy apologised to Resonance, feeling more comfortable with the large pokemon then he would've with the other trainers "Jeremy Thrall," he introduced himself "no doubt Fury has introduced herself." He chuckled at the antics of the subject of his sentence as she muzzled his open palm. Ninetails were mystical pokemon, harnessing a small talent for psychic ability and Jeremy felt her thoughts transfer across to his mind in their small touch. The recent discussion supplied to him. He looked at the arcanine. "Resonance? Thats a curious name, it has a certain beauty." He looked over to where the pink haired master was conversing with the pale Charizard owner. "You are Master Riddell's companion?"

"We cannot wait any longer... Seven will have to do." A lithe hand reached out and pressed a small red button. A light on the microphone lit up green. It was time.

Blake was looking around, waiting to finally meet the mysterious Professor. Suddenly a loud crackling noise rang out in the dining room. Blake cringed and immediately clamped her hands over her ears.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" she yelled, looking around wildly. Suddenly a deep, sinister laugh filled the large cavernous room, bouncing off the marble walls. Blake was glancing about in alarm, trying to spot the source of the sound.
"Welcome, Masters... to my maze. You may be wondering where your host is. Unfortunately, Professor Dolos was unable to make it... because he does not exist. I have called you all here for one purpose. You'd all be marvelous additions to my collection. But I do love a good battle. So, I will allow one of you to escape this island... but only one. To determine the winner of this little competition, you will all enter a maze. Inside the maze, your pokemon are hidden. The first to find the exit to the maze wins."
As the deep voice spoke, the dining room around them dissolved. Blake yelped as the walls deteriorated into small blue squares... It was as if they were caught in a video game... But it was real. Almost as immediately as the dining room disappeared around them, a new room materialized. It was an battling arena. 4 battling areas were spread out over the room, which was the size of a football field.
"Holy shit," Blake hissed. Damien had rushed to her side, trying to protect her from the hidden enemy. His eyes were glowing furiously, and an ominous cloud of blacks and purples surrounded him and Blake in a ghostly aura.
"To determine who enters the maze first, you all will battle one another. Sadly, there are only seven of you here... So, one of you will be graced with a head start - skipping the battle and going straight into the maze. The rest of you will participate in a tourney style battling procedure, determining the order of who gets let out into the maze. Once inside the labyrinth, you will have exactly one hour before I teleport you back here to battle again. This will continue until a winner emerges. The rest of you... will stay here. Forever. And if you do not decide to cooperate, remember - I have your pokemon. Either save yourself and sacrifice your precious friends, or stay here and fight to win.
"You may also be wondering where to look for your pokemon. In each of your letters, I wrote a short riddle. To find your first hidden pokemon, decode it. More clues will follow in time. The Game begins... Now."
The voice shut off and there was complete silence. A electronic tournament board lit up on the side of the arena. The lights on it were flashing.
GENERATING RANDOM MASTER.... GENERATING RANDOM MASTER... RANDOM MASTER = Kadence Riddell. Kandence Riddell. Enter the maze. Your hour starts now. A door had opened on one side of the room, a pink lightbulb flashing above it. Blake gritted her teeth. So she'd have to stay and duke it out. She locked eyes with Kade.
"Go... GO!" Blake pushed her towards the door urgently. They were all going to figure out a way to get out of this madness... but for now, there was no other option than to play by the rules.
((AHA! There we go. For any confusion, PM me or post in OOC))

To determine the winner of this little competition, you will all enter a maze. Inside the maze, your Pokemon are hidden. The first to find the exit to the maze wins." Soon following the speech of the man gave the room began to dissolve as if out of some strange science fiction movie and a new room appeared, Wallaces eyes grew big at the sight of four battlefields spread out in a large room. Wallace stood up with Infernape standing behind, he was angry and did not liked to be played and as the man spoke Wallace paid little attention, all he heard were they were to battle to enter the maze and that thier Pokemon were also inside and those stupid little poems had to do with it.
As the first master was called to enter the maze, Wallace looked over at the others left to wait with himself and their Pokemon. There was Blake from Johto and her Gengar Damien, if he were to verse them if would prove to be a tough match as she seemed to have just as much experience as himself, and he trained in the Sinnoh battle frontier. Next was the Honen trainer Sky who's Medicham, followed by the Johto trainer Seji and his espeon, and finally the last two were the Gothic Jeremy and his Ninetails and Hayashi and his over-sized Charizard. He would depend on Infernapes own drive to save his other Pokemon her.
"Bullshit, you go inviting us here to be put through so dumb game , and even take our Pokemon hiding them in these dumb riddles," Wallace throw the riddle in the air " Infernape torch it." Infernape shoots a fire blast at the paper incinerating it as Wallace begins to recite his poem," 'High up in the sky, The flash of light with echoes so deep, Fear might finally encourage, One who is often found asleep.', How dare you hide my Staraptor he was the first one i have ever caught and has been with me since the start just like Infernape and Arcanine, I am going to win your stupid game and get all my Pokemon back, know that." Wallace's anger was getting more fierce as he screamed at the unknown character. " Put up the standing I want to get my chance to go inside the maze as soon as possible." Wallace looked back at the other trainers with an immensely angry face, he began to cool down a bit as he caught his breath, "Nothing pisses me off more than being jerked around like a child. I can't believe how stupid I am, I could have stopped almost all of us from being part of it, if I only had Lucario read his aura." Wallace took a deep breath and looked at the other trainers, "So what do your little notes say, do you know what Pokemon you have to look for?" Wallace asked almost back to his usual self, Infernape standing right behind him, who seemed to mimic Wallace's feeling during the entire rant to the mysterious enemy.
OOC Notes
"You may also be wondering where to look for your pokemon. In each of your letters, I wrote a short riddle. To find your first hidden pokemon, decode it. More clues will follow in time. The Game begins... Now."
Seiji held back a shout of surprise when the dining room dissolved around them, forming a battle field. Kaori leaped to his side, back arched and bristling. Battles? Maze? Seiji calmed himself down. "We're going to win, Kaori," he breathed. "I'm not going to let him keep us here forever."
He pulled out his clue, scanning it quickly. He nodded, mind puzzling over the riddle, watching the other trainers out of the corner of his eye. He noted with a small pang of both jealousy and pity that the pink haired Kanto trainer would be the first to enter the maze. Pity in part because he could tell she loved a good battle. Jealousy because she would get to know the maze before all of them.
He pushed these thoughts out of his mind, focusing on the riddle.
"Friend from the first step forward..." Seiji frowned. Well....that was rather obvious. Who had been with him since the very beginning? "Aki."
Kade felt stared up at the screen, her mind still processing the fact that she had been kidnapped and forced to participate in some screwed up game. But as her name came up, and Blake shoved her, she swiftly called Resonance to her side. She swung herself onto the Arcanine's back, urging him forward. "Let's go Res." She breathed in his ear.
The Arcanine barked in agreement, leaping off into the maze. Resonance settled into a familiar stride, going down the long first part, while Kade read the riddle again. She frowned. It hardly made any sense!
"Come on Resonance. Let's just explore." Kade murmured. She didn't doubt her Pokemon's skills. If she had to return to the battle arena well, she would just come back out again. "We gotta find someone who moves at a slow pace. That could be...Crescendo. Or Symphony. I mean...they're both kind of slow moving...."

I'm actually on Winter Break right now....
Re: [OOC] Labyrinth: A Pokémon Roleplay
Blake battles Wallace... Wallace wins! Wallace is let out into maze. That basically determines who gets out when. If you win or not. The last person in the room gets a 15 min. penalty... Basically they wait 15 minutes after the second to last person leaves before they themselves can. Does that make sense? I put more detail into the introductory page. It's at the bottom...
Blah. I'm feeling ridiculously swamped right now. I'd like to alert everybody that I'm going to be super busy. I'm on the tech crew for my school's musical, which means I spend an extra 3 hours after classes end trying to get everything ready. This is going on ALL WEEK. On top of that, my final exams take place right before Spring Break, so all my teachers are going insane. I'm just about ready to fall over and die. So forgive me if I'm late in posting responses to your questions!

Re: [OOC] Labyrinth: A Pokémon Roleplay
Here are the Battle pairings. I will also put them in the main profile for the RP.
ROUND ONE:
Blake VS Wallace ------ Winner = Wallace
Skylar VS Seiji ---------- Winner = Skylar
Jeremy VS Ichiro ------- Winner = Jeremy
RANDOM GENERATOR PICK (using magic hat) - Ichiro
ROUND TWO
Blake VS Seiji ----------- Winner = Blake
15 minute penalty, then Seiji goes into maze.
So.... There's that! Jeez, Zombie Pulse has really thrown a wrench into everything. Eight was the magic number. That way, everything was perfect tournament-wise. X/ Oh well...
Re: [OOC] Labyrinth: A Pokémon Roleplay
With the format for the battles, do you want it to be split up into different view points so it takes one or two posts each or just compile it into one big post? If you want a big post do you want it from one view point or a copy and paste from both writers?
Re: [OOC] Labyrinth: A Pokémon Roleplay
As for the bags situation - BLAH! I forgot to mention this. There are so many little parts that we needed to go over, and I forgot this one. I didn't want anybody to bring item bags in with them. Just have the items that your pokemon are holding. The importance of this comes in later.
So... I guess I'll start matching people up for battles. As for battling, akai-pyon and I have come up with a kind of system. Coin flip determines the winner of the battle. Then we'll post who wins what with the battle pairings. As for the actual battle posting, I was hoping that the two people involved in the battle would PM each other and write one post together. Then, you'll just have one battle post instead of 70 little moves back and forth. But this requires people to be ACTIVE. Good God...
