Introduction
But one day, six figures emerged from the horizon, garbed in rich and colorful clothing. They each wielded unique magical powers, and together, they defeated the demon and sealed him back in his prison beneath the earth.
It is present day, six teenagers across the U.S.A will be called upon by the powers of the ancient chi warriors, for history is about to repeat itself. Soon, the demon Gi Jeng Shi will re-emerge from his fiery prison and unleash his wrath upon the world once more.
Chi
Chi is energy, life force, and magic. It comes in infinite modes and forms. It can be channeled any way one desires. However, chi cannot be commanded. Chi is unique to each person, and only those touched by destiny may wield its great powers. As for who gets what power, that is pre-determined, for the vessel does not choose the chi; the chi chooses the vessel.
Love Chi: This chi is manifested in the shapes of hearts and cherry blossom petals and assumes the color pink. It is the chi that is born from the unity of two souls who wish to unite as one. It is balanced and powerful.
Force Chi: This chi is manifested in the form of small orange circles and chi-fists. It is the chi of sheer strength, accumulated through years of martial training.
Air Chi: A whimsical and changing chi that manifests in the color blue and takes on the form of waves. This chi is always present in the air, but is so diffuse that one must create a font of energy strong enough to amass enough chi to one specific area, so that it may be concentrated and tamed.
Nature Chi: The chi of life and of the earth; this chi manifests in a bright emerald color, taking on the form of leaves and flowers and shimmering green sparkles. It is a flexible chi that can either be used to harm or to heal.
Purity Chi: Chi that exists in things untouched by corruption. As pure as birth itself, this chi remains unharmed, and therefor cannot be harmed. It manifests as a bright white light.
Spirit Chi: The chi of the mind and of the spirit realm, this chi gathers at places where strong psychic energy is amassing. It is the chi called upon for divination. It manifests in the form of purple orbs and it never stands still. It remains in motion, so sometimes it is manifested in small swirls that continue to whorl.
The Warriors
You are a regular teenager living in America - or so you thought - until you began exuding strange forms of energy and found yourself possessing supernatural powers that you thought only existed in movies. It turns out, a special form of chi has chosen you as its next master for an epic battle that is about to ensue. Learn your chi, wield your chi, befriend your chi. Here is a little insight into the past of your chi's former master:
Li Wong: She was a woman of incomparable beauty, who lulled men to her sides at all times. She was in love with the idea of love, and therefor was never truly alone, although she never truly experienced love, for it was the chi that was causing them to fall in love with her. She stood before the demon Gi Jeng Shi, garbed in a pink kimono with cherry blossoms in her hair. Wielding the chi of Love, she could infatuate anybody, and charm them instantly. The price she payed for her powers was the absence of true love in her life.
Haiyung Jang: A man who devoted his life to the martial arts; he had mastered every form of combat and was undefeated. He wielded the Force chi so that he could have strength beyond compare, but strength is what he lacked. Though no foe could surpass his might, Haiyung lacked in courage what he had in skill. He banded together with the other 5 chi warriors, garbed in an orange Gi and gauntlets of steel.
Tzu Chien: An intellectual man who devoted his life to science. He studied voraciously and had great knowledge of all things. He had medical expertise beyond compare, with acupuncture know-how that could cure the sickest man. He wielded the Air chi into the form of wind and magic spells. Although he knew everything, he never knew true happiness. He stood before the ancient earth demon wearing a shimmering blue robe and armed with a staff of magic crystal.
Jiao Fu: A woman of natural beauty who abandoned civilized life to live with the earth. She devoted her life to familiarizing herself with the earth, and refused all means of riches which came her way. With a mastery of herbal knowledge and tea brewing, she cured many a weary traveler from voracious sickness. However, with every man she cured, she herself became more and more sick. By the end of her life, she was so weak she could not carry a tea pot. But her loved ones will live forever. She stood before Gi Jeng Shi wearing luminescent natural cloth woven in the shape of leaves with a coil of barbed briar around her arm.
Jie Hun: She lived a sheltered life and did not know anything but purity and perfection. Refused by all vices and void of any flaw, she was the envy of all. It was her need for perfection that gave her her greatest suffering, for she was the target of every man's lust. Jie did not know what it was to make her own decisions, instead she was bought by every man in China against her will. On the day of the great demon's defeat, Jie Hun approached the beast in a gown as white as morning light, armed with nothing but her body and a single white chrysanthemum.
Meilin Lee: In a dark ally way in the great city of Beijing, Meilin resided in a purple tent adorned with the symbols of the stars. For a small fee, she would use her powers of chi to gaze into the future and give you your fortune. Unfortunately, Meilin never knew vision for herself, for she lived her life blind, and any divination she tried to cast to see the future for herself would instead endlessly show her the deep horrors of her past. United with the other chi warriors before Gi Jeng Shi, Meilin stood in her purple dress and black blindfold.
