Harper "Rowan"

Race: Vampire, and to her knowledge the only one living in Eronnis
Age: 206, but appearance wise, stuck in the same age she was turned- 27

Rowan dawns long red hair, the color of the season fall, the same season she was turned into a vampire so long aqo. Who changed her into an undead is unknown. There were pros and cons to Rowan's change. Her looks all-together stayed the same, but her eyes and figure developed into more. Her irises turned into a blood red- the color of the deepest pool of blood one could imagine, where once they were a solid plain brown. The more a vampire drank blood, the deeper their eyes bared the scarlet color. Her figure developed into something stronger, where no wound scarred her perfected pale skin. She had the true talent of adaptability. Rowan's knowledge of every quadrant in Eronnis gave her the heads up on how to live in each area; after all, she had been the main intelligence of the Union for several decades until her unpleasant departure. Rowan's refuge to the Northern tundra of Eronnis was ideal. It didn't effect her well-being; after all, she had no pulse or body heat to deter her from the ice-cold temperature. A simple fur detailed coat was easy enough to buy in this new land, and gave her cover under the city's hospitality. Not a soul from Jarvaise ever wandered to this land to ever return in one piece if they recognized her.
Rowan lips are always a dark red color. If you want to believe it is from lipstick, go ahead. She wears a vile of blood around her neck, in the shape of a veng. Whose blood she wears is also unknown accept to Rowan herself.

She is dark; sarcastic; seductive in her movements and voice that can at times be hypnotizing; When she still held her position as 1st Lieutenant in the army, her most effective skill was capturing said target by her keen know how and ability to influence. Rowan was highly respected and feared by those in the rebellion now, but at the same time they appreciated her continued support in the on going fights.

Rowan he can control her blood feeding to those she wishes to feed on, which is always an aid to whatever side she is on. After being banished from the Union's army, Rowan has developed a destructive strategy. If she can attract her old friends enough to see the Rebellion, she might have the time to... confront her traitors. As much as she wants to be with the two again, she wants to kill them.

History

Rowan, a 'young', adventurous vampire at the time, was 176 years-old and leaving a kingdom from across the sea to the Kingdom Eronnis. The former was a kingdom controlled by humans and only humans, and any other type of 'monster', how they put it, was banished to the outskirts. Luckily Rowan could always blend in seeing as how she appeared human, but she also knew it was time to move on to a new land. There was only so much feeding she could do in one area before humans began to catch on to what she was. If she could become a citizen in Eronnis, it would fix her situation. She paid off a merchant to let her be a stowaway under his ship. In truth, she needed a dark place to stay while the sun was up. Rowan's mind was set that this would be her new residency. She had heard of a new succession of power handing over from the Royal throne to a Union in Eronnis, and had the keen sense they might be in need of a mercenary assassin somewhere along the line to help keep peace.

Upon her arrival and the few weeks that followed, not only had the Union accepted her cursed blood into the Kingdom, but valued her skills and the potential to do much work for them. They hired her as a permanent soldier to their military's defense. Of course, the job was ideal for Rowan. A legal way to kill/torture criminals and murders in the city without having the fear of being thrown to jail... Never the fear of going hungry... she couldn't say no. The next two and a half decades Rowan spent in the Union's army, working her way up the ranks and training prodigy soldiers beneath her personal watch. Her loyalties were strong with those she trusted and protected. In particular, there was Kali. Since her admission to the army, Rowan took her under her wing. After all, Rowan didn't like being the only high ranking female and she knew Kali and the utmost potential to be her badass female student. And Rowan wasn't the only one that could see Kali's potential, there was Captain Loger Kronis. Since the time Loger joined the force, Rowan and Loger quickly managed to become friends and confidants. Years of intense battles and drama within the city has the charm to do that to some. Loger never got tired of joking with Rowan that he made Captain before she did because she had been in the army longer. At the ranking below Captain, Rowan let him tease. In all honestly, she never wanted to be Captain, perfectly happy where she was. Besides, there was the whole 'females can't be captains' and other sexist complaints that made it too tiresome to follow through with.

Three years ago, Rowan was doing a nightly guard of the streets- one of her favorite things to do- when she noticed a man trying to get inside the castle gates. He was attractive, tall, dark, and smelled delicious. With a calm, vicious smile dawned on to her face, Rowan saw this as a time for play. The events that unfolded would tear the very fibers of loyalty formed. Kali arrived at the gates to let her betrothed in to find Rowan pressing her man up against the castle's stone walls, sucking his blood slowly to cause the man more pain. The irony of it was that the man begged for more, for being seduced by a vampire was the workings of mind control. Rowan dropped the man's limp body to the ground as she licked the blood off her lips. An all out battle took place right in the inside walls of the palace and Kali and Rowan fought. The thunderous noise of clashing sword and blade was enough to wake the Captain and rest of the army. They all stood by as the fight between student and teacher lasted for what felt like hours. It ended with Kali viciously, and unwillingly, asking for a truce. Kali wanted to be by her dying lovers side. When Rowan walked over to Loger after the battle, there was a look of sheer hate in his eyes. He banished her from Jarvaise despite her being at a higher rank than Kali. Rowan was shocked by his orders and quickly developed a passionate hate for the man.

Morning after the battle, those in the palace walls, Kali, and the Captain, woke to find that Rowan was already long gone. Rowan retreated to the freezing tundra up North, a land most suited for her kind. A few months of hiding out led her to study up on what sounded to be a forming rebellion against the Union. It was music to Rowan's ears, and the perfect opportunity to get her revenge on the two that wronged her: Loger and Kali. If she could join the rebel forces, it will be a straight avenue into finding them again. Three years later, in the present time, Rowan is now a key secret weapon in the rebel forces. She is hiding out East and awaits the day where she can once again come face to face with her two, long lost friends.
