"Is that the full moon? I mean, is that the time? Oh, dear, I b-better go."
The nineteen-year-old stands at 5 feet and 6 inches, and looks frightfully ill and tired for someone his age. There are hints of older scars in his skin, often joined by newer wounds that he simply refuses to acknowledge if concern is expressed. Up until a year ago, Sander was lucky to have a Norwegian uncle that took care of him during the summer, as well as good friends to watch out for him when needed, but lost all of that before Harry Potter managed to stop the war. This has had a clear effect on him, as those who knew him before would have noticed the sudden weight drop, as well as his bitten nails and other signs of his inability to take good care of himself.
His grey eyes are often distant, and his light blonde hair is seldom washed, unevenly cut and mostly just thrown out of his face when needed. He also shows some slight signs of fangs, but that's only noticeable by those who really look. As he has little fashion sense, he often prefers to wear simple and safe clothing. Sander is by no means rich, and sees little sense in spending too much money on clothing, which is why it is often tattered and worn out as well. Oh, and he's a werewolf.
Sander is careful, and very wary of what people think of him - mostly since he's used to racism because of his condition. He doesn't like to discuss that particular subject much, and even though it's easy to guess for the average wizard, Sander seldom reveals this as a fact to anyone other than those he knows can be trusted to keep it secret. In a general conversation with several participants, he prefers to keep quiet. However, if talking to only one or two people, he often brightens up and speaks more freely.
He always pays attention to what's going on around him, even when he might seem like he's not. Like mentioned, Sander is a very careful person, and would rather listen and take in his surroundings before making a decision about his actions or statements. All in all, he's a socially awkward, not to mention nevous young man, trying to pretend he's not. However, he cares greatly for other people, and wishes to do his best to aid the world. He also has a slight stutter.

Bitten at the age of nine, Sander was thrown out of his Norwegian family as they found themselves unable to take care of him. Jon, his uncle, took him in and gave him the home he needed, raising a quiet, but happy, little boy. Thanks to his uncle's contacts, Jon was able to keep his condition under control, and often encouraged Sander to embrace it, rather than shunning it with the rest of the world. Even if Sander wasn't completely able to agree, he still loved his uncle, which made it even harder as Jon was taken from him so abruptly, when he was eighteen. The same incident also revealed his secret to those he had thought to be some of his best friends through his childhood, as Sander reacted very badly to the news of his uncle's passing. For a year he has been living alone in England, out of contact with most of the world and thought to be dead by many of his closest.
Throughout his stay at the Durmstrang Institute, Sander had acceptable grades but never exceeded greatly within the fields of magic, even though he is, to this day, still remembered for his surprisingly good work within astronomy.
