Introduction
Everyone has heard the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The ending might differ in a few ways, but the story is still the same. Little Red Riding Hood went through the forest to deliver a basket to her grandmother. Little Red's mother always told her to watch out for the wolf that lived in the forest. But, Little Red knew better than to actually do any business with the wolf, so she went straight to her grandmother's house. There, she found her "grandmother" who turned out to be the wolf. Depending on the ending, Red either lives or dies for believing that the wolf could actually be her grandmother.
But, what if those stories hide some bit of truth? Could Little Red Riding Hood have actually existed, and if so, what is her real story?
Little Red Riding Hood did exist. She was sent into the forest by her mother to deliver a basket to her grandmother. Little did she know, she had no grandmother. Her mother had sent her into the forest to die. Little Red discovered this secret, and, not wanting to go back, decided it was best to do as her mother wanted. But she didn't want to die a pointless death, so she set out to find the wolf. She planned on letting the wolf eat her, so she could at least die someone's meal.
Unfortunately, the wolf informed Red that he did not eat children. He offered to allow her to stay with him until she was old enough to eat. From there, Little Red stayed in with the wolf in his house.
Now, it is several years later. Little Red is long gone, and the story is but a myth, but the forest still exists with all of its inhabitants.
It seems that a new group of teens has been sent into the woods... But what will happen to them? Will they understand they way of the woods? Or will they get killed before they realize what's going on.
Ways of the Woods:
There are several things that happen in the woods that cannot be explained
simply. Years ago, a witch cursed the woods. Now, all who enter the woods are bound to follow the ways of the woods created by the witch's curse. But, for some reason, Little Red and her followers are not effected by these ways.
1. When a person hears their true name, they will die. They're soul is trapped inside of white flower.
2. No one who enters the woods may leave the woods.
3. All inhabitants of the woods must have a job at all times.
4. None shall touch the apple that holds the life of the woods.
Summary:
You can play either a Little Red follower or an inhabitant of the woods. Daily life will be a challenge either way.
As a Little Red follower, you will be sent into the woods, most likely by someone looking to kill you. But, oddly enough you won't be killed. You will end up having to try to solve the mysteries of the woods, and perhaps free the inhabitants of the curse. You might also want to be careful though, some of the inhabitants won't hesitate to eat you if you push the wrong buttons.
As an Inhabitant of the woods, you will encounter one of the Little Red followers. You don't know who they are, they just seem to be a tasty snack. One way or another, you will end up figuring out some of the secret of the follower and maybe learn how they can help save your home.
ROLES:
LITTLE RED FOLLOWERS(5):
You were sent into the woods for some reason, most likely to die. Now that you are here, you realize just what is going on, and decide to stay, for whatever reason you feel like coming up with. But you best get a job fast, or you'll upset the way of the woods.(Ask nicely and I may consider adding another one of two, depending. These CAN be male or female. I don't care, though female is slightly more encouraged!)
1. The Orphan- (TAKEN-DELILAH)This follower has no parents, no family known of. They were sent into the woods by their guardian to die, the rest is up to you.
2. The Coward- (RESERVED)This follower ran into the woods out of fear. The fear and exactly why are up to you.
3. The Apprentice- (TAKEN-DANNY)This follower was sent into the woods to do a job, only to figure out their boss was actually trying to kill them. The rest is up to you.
4. The Fugitive- (RESERVED)This follower ran into the woods to escape from a crime they committed. The rest is up to you.
5. The Lost Soul- (TAKEN-ASH)This follower just wandered in and got completely lost! Maybe a map would be a good idea next time.
6. The Chaser- (RESERVED) This follower went into the woods to try and find the loved one who went in before him.
INHABITANTS OF THE WOODS(5):
These are the creatures that have lived in the woods all their lives. Most of them are oddly enough, immortal, and can remember the time of the first Red Ridding Hood. Though, they don't all remember, as many of them disliked the girl. They are required to follow the way of the woods. They all appear human with animal ears/tails, but can turn into animals at will. (These can be MALE or FEMALE. I don't care, though male is slightly more encouraged! Ask and I may consider adding another one of two. Please feel free to play with the descriptions I give too, I don't want you to feel that you have to stick to the guidelines I give.)
1. The Wolf- (TAKEN-WOLF)A stronger character with a violent streak. He would never eat a human, but he certainly likes to make people think he will. His job is to keep peace in the woods, or beat people up when they cause trouble.
2. The Bear- -(TAKEN-CUB)A tough guy who stays to himself more than he gets out. He might eat a person, but they would probably have to really bother him. His job is to protect the weaker members of the forest from unfair hunting.
3. The WildCat- (RESERVED)A sly, smart guy. He doesn't really care about other people, but he knows how to play his cards. He also knows when he can and can't win. He won't hesitate to kill and eat a human. He owns a restaurant in the forest.
4. The Rabbit- (TAKEN-BUNNY))(I won't lie, I'd prefer this one be male.) A rather odd fellow, who tends to confuse people. He gives out excellent advice, but it always seems a very strange. He's also very good at judging a person's character. He works at the WildCat's restaurant.
5. The Deer- (TAKEN-BUCK)A very happy, fun-loving guy. He gets on other people's nerves a good bit, but he really is a good guy. He speaks his mind, and tends to get jealous easily. His job is to tend to the field of white flowers that grows in the forest.
6. The Fox- (TAKEN-FOX) Slightly creepy, but entertaining. The fox's job is to entertain the other inhabitants of the woods.

OOC Notes
"I wonder who all isn't busy..." His voice came out quietly as he moved a finger to his lips. He didn't know exactly what everyone else did, and if they all had bosses like his. Not to insult the Wildcat... The Rabbit just was... Clumsy. Dropping plates, tripping over customers, it was a wonder he hadn't been fired yet. He backed his ears a little at the thought. He didn't want to get fired. That would mean he would have to find another job, and quickly. Not having a job in the Woods would doom one to a certain death... He shook his head. He wouldn't lose his job any time soon... He went back to the topic at hand.
"I wonder if Cub is up to anything..." He mumbled the words, then tripping over a stick and having to catch his balance, let he fall on his face. He stared at the stick. Stupid stick... Stupid stick..." He shook his head. "I wonder if Cub is up to anything..." He repeated the words slowly. It was decided. Today, he would pester the bear.
OOC Notes
Wolf assumed everyone was free today, unless hanging out among themselves, because of course today was a holiday.
Wolf tilted his head towards the sun to let the heat sink in. He smiled a bright smile of his canine teeth. Today was a nice day.
OOC Notes
This morning.
The sun crept its way through the battered curtains and into the room; it was scattered with sleeping people, some with drawings on their faces and others with beer can in their hands. Of course, Ash was in the middle of this messy morning; she lied sleeping in a bed with a few other people. The sunlight rested right onto her face and woke her; her eyes opened and her head immediately started to pound. She slid out of the bed quietly and quickly, stepping over the people who where scattered around the floor. She had to leave before anyone woke up, it was like her 'tradition' to be the first one to leave; she silently sneaked herself into the shower and washed herself thoroughly, making sure the scent of beer, the grit and grease was gone off of her body before making her escape out the door after dressing herself; she wore an over-sized knitted, see through sweater with an AC/DC shirt and a floral patterned skirt with the usual non-matching black and white stripped thigh-high socks and cheap shoes.
Her hair was pinned up in a messy bun as she slipped into her RV and took off down the road, stopping for breakfast before taking off.
Now.
"Shit!" She scowled, tripping over an exposed root and fell into a small stream, skinning her knees. "Damn it! I'm lost again!" She was in a bad mood, thirsty, and not to mention hungry despite her eating breakfast. She has been hiking around these woods since eleven o'clock this morning and was tired and had about it with walking and traveling. She got up, trying to dry herself off with her hands before leaning her body against a big oak. "I can afford a nap." She confidently said to herself, closing her eyes and dosing off before she knew it.
This couldn't be good; Danny was more than positive that he had past that tree more than once. He stood, looking up at a large pine... or was it oak? He ruffled his blonde hair before looking at the piece of paper his boss gave him. "Well, I'm not sure if there is an actual 'Silk Drive' in here..." He sighed to himself, finally realizing that the address his boss gave him was fake. "Man... well this sucks. On top of that, there isn't one person here." He pouted, walking towards the north, away from the tree; he gave pretty quickly counting that he has only been out in the woods for ten minutes. He dropped the paper onto the ground, and walked away towards the direction he was going originally; he cupped his hands together as he walked, and breathed in. "Hello?!" He yelled, as he kept walking.
<Sorry for the short second post.>

He ended up by one of his favorite streams. He looked around idily at the stream and sniffed at the ground. Yup soneone has been here recently. He knew the scent wasn't one of the abimals so he trailed the scent. He was led maybe less than a mile more to a great oak tree. There leaning againstvit was a sleeping girl who appeared to be fusterated, even in her slumber. He inched forwards before letting out a low warning growl. He decided to stay in wolf form during the greetings of this girl. He would show her she has to fear and respect him and his woods. Of course then Wolf would run off and shift then come back and pretend he was human. Or maybe he wont. Depends on the way she reacts.

Buck turned on the spot and determining where the sound came from. He bounded of in the direction of the sound and stopped not to far off from what appeared to be a lost human in the woods. He's awfully cute. Buck thought to himself. I should go say hello! And with that Buck had made up his mind. He quickly changed forms and crept up behind the a tree doing his best to hide his horns. When the boy wasn't looking, Buck jumped out from his hiding place and shouted. "Hi There!" Hoping to surprise the new arrival.

He grabbed a pair of ripped up pants, some old brown boots, and a black tank top, which was his usual outfit, and walked outside of his cave wearing a pair of underwear. He didn't expect to have any visitors because of the holiday, which meant he didn't have to patrol the forest, though he planned on doing it eventually, though he decided that he would take a bath in the spring that was just a yard away from his cave, through the trees. Placing his clothes on a rock next to the spring, the large bear dove into the deep end, watching as the fresh water fish begun to swim away sporadically in all different directs. He swam over to the shallow end where the water came just below his naval. He begun to run the cold water through his short hair, making it lose its normal style. He begun to clean himself with the water.

Ash slept under the tree; barely hearing the growl of the wolf. She swiped her ear when Wolf did growl, thinking it was a fly. It was the howl that awoke her from her slumber; her eyes barely peaked open enough to see the movement of the wolf walking in circles. Her hands slowly and quietly slipped towards a medium sized rock. She hasn't been the one to really freak out during something like animal attacks; she gripped onto the rock and kept herself still afterwards. With her eyes closed, she embraced herself before jerking her heavy, still-sleeping hand towards the wolf, releasing the rock; watching it fly towards the wolf. She swung her heavy, fatigued body around the oak, scrapping herself as she did, grabbing onto a low stump and pushing herself upwards, watching the wolf with careful eyes.
She was about a yard upwards from the ground, trying to push herself up further, but unfortunately, no available stumps or branches where in her reach.
Danny walked the woods, giving a slight yawn of boredom as he did. I wonder if any cute babes could pop out in bikinis or something... He thought, letting his fantasies go wild from there. He took a slight step to the right, before hearing a slight rustle behind him. Danny stopped and looked around, turning back to the front when he found that no one was behind him. "Hi There!" Instantly, at that sound, Danny stumbled forward, into a small tree; he just barely caught himself with enough time to stop his head from knocking forward onto the tree. He turned his head around to see what seemed like a boy? The boy had a girlish face; Danny turned fully around, leaning his arm onto the tree as he did. "Thank God someone is here. Do you know the way out, or to some place called..." He had already forgotten the name of the 'place' he was suppose to 'go to'.
"Was it Oak Drive? No, hmm, Pine Lake?" He was now just naming random trees. He flailed his free hand up in the air, "Ah, it doesn't matter anymore anyways. Back to the original question, do you know the way out?" He asked, scratching his face as he balanced himself upwards, not realizing or seeing his antlers.

Wolf smirked at the girl's lousy attempt to get away from the big bad wolf. Wolf chuckled a barky laugh with his tail wagging happily. People always ammused him. His laughter was a rude laughter directed at her, not with her. He weighed out his options thinking if he should speak or not and decided to keep a low card and pretend to be a wild wolf.
Wolf kinda felt like he was causing discomfort to a visoter in his forest..oh how embarresing. He stopped his foolish act at once and jumped up towards her and licked ger hand before nuzxiling it, motioning her to 'pet' his back. Wolf assumed this is what normal wolves would do..but lets face it he wasnt normal.
OOC Notes
"Eeeeeeek~!" He took off, letting his voice ring throughout the woods, "Help me! He's going to eat me! Eat me!!!" He tripped and fell flat on his face this time. He sat up and rubbed his face in pain. He looked around and put his ears all the way back, looking around. He still didn't notice the fox. He frowned and looked around. Maybe Cub would hear and help... Or someone... Even the cat! His boss would be better than no one! Though, the funny thing was, he didn't even notice who this was..
OOC Notes
The long haired girl hissed slightly as she began piling away the newly cleaned dishes into a cabinet. Holidays were a welcome rest, but were so stupid. It’d be another thing if there were a party of some sort, but all a Holiday guaranteed was slower business and hyperactive animals running around, well, being animals.
She shrugged off her apron, hanging it neatly on a nearby hook as she surveyed the kitchen. All the clutter and broken dishes Rabbit had left on the floor were cleaned, along with the counters and tables. Kitten gave a satisfied nod, yawning, smoothing down the black bodice of her tight corset, slightly fluffing the blue tutu skirt upon her legs, which ended a bit to high above her black leather boots.
Kitten, or, better known to most, Wildcat, grabbed her long gloves off another counter, tugging them on as she moved out onto the main floor of the restaurant. There had been two strangers in the corner when Kitten left to clean, but now all the tables were empty.
Good, I really don’t feel like dealing with others at the moment. Perhaps I should close up shop.
Kitten swung outside, looking up at the sky approvingly. The sun was high, and warm, and though a few clouds spiraled off in the distance, the clearing her restaurant was located in was basking in sunlight. She changed gracefully into a panther, leaping easily onto the porch roof. A waterfall of golden warmth cascaded over her, and with a sigh, Kitten closed her huge eyes, letting her front paw and tail hang down in front of the door as she got comfortable.
Then came the “Helps!” and the howling, and the screaming. Kitten peeked at the trees in annoyance.
“Help me! He's going to eat me! Eat me!!!
Oh my. What trouble have you gotten yourself into now, Rabbit? Kitten chuckled to herself. It was probably Fox, harassing him somehow, or maybe Wolf, perhaps that’s why he was howling. Who knew? But neither would actually harm him…. Kitten assumed anyway.
She lazily closed her eyes once more, hiding the brilliant yellow, content with her perch. When suddenly it struck her.
Why would Wolf be howling that loud, for a trick? He wasn’t even really the type to play a trick on Rabbit, and he did sound farther away than the Rabbit did. so….
The first thought Kitten had to answer the question was…. Impossible. The second was Improbable.
First, Wolf had been injured somehow?…Impossible. Nearly, anyway.
Second…. There were…. Intruders in the forest…possibly…Human. Improbable….But it could happen.
Smirking with the possibility of a good meal, Kitten sprang to the ground, four lithe legs propelling her towards Rabbit, a good place to start with this mystery.

Is that wolf... laughing at me? She thought, hearing the wolf's strange bark. "You ass!" She quietly snarled back, not letting go of the tree. She only gripped harder onto the rough tree when the wolf neared her and started to nuzzle her. "What do you want you scuff of fleas?" She said rudely, still thinking it was an animal. "Skit! Skit!" She yelled, kicking her foot at him; it was only her third kick before she fell from the tree.
"Boy, you are lost aren't you?" Danny looked at him as he walked towards him, finally realizing the antlers on his head. Surprisingly, he was a bit rationally about the antlers. Is he one of those 'save the forest' hippies? He asked himself, watching as the boy circled him, pulling threads off of his clothes. "There is no way out of this forest. Once you get here, you stay forever. You can walk for days in one direction and never get out so I would just get that idea out of your head now." Now, after hearing this, his mind referred this situation to a scary movie; becoming more skittish as the boy sniffed him. "My name is Vincent by the way but you can call me Buck. Everyone else does. What's your name human?" Without saying much, Danny back away from Vincent. "Uh, my name is..." He looked around, seeing the trees. "Maple..." It was obvious that he was making it up. "Spur..."
Because it was Danny, he thought that Vincent would take him to a cabin and cook him up and eat him whole. "Uh, well, look at the time, I've got to go!" He gave a scared smile and squinted so hard his eyes closed; he swung himself around and his head met another tree. "Ow! Stupid tree!" He snarled, almost acting like he was going to hit the tree. "I am not going with you to a cabin so I can get eaten!" He yelled randomly, keeping his stance, his back towards Vincent. Danny had hardly any common sense so running wasn't the first thing in his mind.

“Excuse me, Fox, I don’t suppose you could hold off harassing my employee for a moment, could you? I have a question that needs an answer, as all questions do.”

"Believe me, Fox, you wouldn't be my first choice to ask any sort of question. But I think we have visitors in our woods. Perhaps human. Do you, either of you, know anything? I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to eat one. It's been to long, and once the others snatch them up as friends, it'll be impossible to make a meal out of them."
Kitten pointedly moved away from Fox as he chuckled, leisurely stretching, though keeping her attention on Fox.
"If I'm right that is, and there are humans. So, tell me, have you heard anything? Smelled anything? Or must I actually go on a goose hunt for Wolf?"
