Shimo looked at the wooden door that opened to the world outside his house I don't want to go out I would rather stay in this torture house than face the torture of the outside. He looked down at his costume it was a black tailored coat with tatters on the bottom, a blood red button down shirt, and black leather pants. He had glue in fake vampire teeth, put in silver contacts, and had a top hat on his brown hair that he spiked down. He walked toward the door and gently twisted the door handle. Shimo looked at the sky when he walked out of his house the sun was setting. He cut threw the lawn walking toward Raven's house next door. They had plans on going treack or treating together, even though they were teens they never missed the chance to get free candy. He walked toward the walkway of Raven's house and rang her doorbell.

Raven was just adding the finishing touches to her costume when she heard the doorbell ring. That must be Shim. Slipping on her black combat boots she rushed out her room and down the stairs. She slowed as she approached the door and peaked out the window to make sure it was her friend. When she saw Shimo smiling happily at the door she unlatched the locks and opened the door. Raven chuckled lightly when she saw his costume. "So what are you supposed to be Shim?" She leaned against the door frame not bothering to invite Shimo inside.

Kitty began to walk to Raven's house letting her tail drag along she did a flip in the air and walked up the steps "Raven! Shimo! I'm here." she glided gently beside the both of them she twirled around to show her tail and ears "kitty cat!" she turned to Shimo and blinked "hm what are you to be Shimo?" she looked at Raven and smiled Kitty's hand raised in the air she didn't know Shimo very well but she was willing to at least hang with the guy every now and then. "Raven are you sure its okay for me to tag along?"

Akito peered into the dust coaked mirror. His glosy black hair hung loosely in his sharp red eyes, his hat fit comfortably on his head. The pants and shirt were his father's, both loose and baggy, chains were draped across his torso, they chimed flatly when he moved. The pants covered his feet which were enclosed by torn black combat boots. Both the shirt and pants were tattered and torn, a finishing touch he had hastily put on them the night before. Sharp gleaming teeth revealed themselves when he smiled, though that was one element of the costume that would probably never appear. In all, the costume looked presentable, it definitely had room for inprovement, but Akito's intentions were not to impress anyone, he just needed to fit in so that he could make it into the house. There he could die in a way equally as horrible as his father had, this was his punishment for killing his mother and father, this is what he had to do.

Akito stepped outside of his home, chains rattling as he shuffled down the steps. Hands stuffed into his pockets and eyes trained on the ground he walked down the sidewalk, boots tapping hollowly. Looking up momentarily as he walked, he spotted several of his classmates...Shimo, Raven and Kitty were their names. He continued walking not bothering to wave or even acknowledge them.

Shadow stepped outside her face and hands painted to make her seems vague and ghostly her quiet personality added to the effect her black hair hung loosely and her brow eyes seemed vague and dreamy like she was sleeping she walked down the side walk passing house after house and collecting bits of candy Shadow loved sweets and candy so Halloween was her chance to cash in on treats and the tricks were equally nice but not always she soon saw Akito a boy from her class leave his house she had never talked to him and was not sure if she should try or not but he did not look in the mood so she dismissed the idea a small black cat jumped onto her shoulder and Shadow began talking to it in a low whisper a vague smile passing her lips she saw more of her class mates up ahead but was not sure if she should talk to them or not she waved enthusiastically towards them but was not sure if they noticed...

Akito spotted another one of his classmates meandering down the sidewalk. He glanced at her for a moment before continuing forward. He paused as he came to the end of the block, glaring up at the house on the corner. He bit down on his thumb anxiously, fighting the urge to indulge in candy consumption as he watched children file down the steps, happily chewing on the sweets they had obtained. Giving in to temptation, he trudged up the steps, scowling at the shriveled woman passing out sweets. She grinned nervously, taking his glare to mean Trick or Treat and handed him a lollipop with shaking fingers. He took it and nodded, rushing back down the steps. His love for sweets was enough to force him to take a detour. He shoved the candy into his mouth and continued forward, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

Camille leaves her house, the shredded gown she's wearing swishing quietly around her legs as dark red, fake blood drips off her off her face and out of her hair, down her neck, forming a line along her collar bone before pooling and disappearing down the top of the corestted dress she's costumed in. A grin reveals almost real, sharp canines, made specially by her dad. The thorn crown atop her head is tangled among her thick, reddish-brown locks of hair, a couple roses stuck in at random points on it.

A glance down the street shows a grouping of kids outside of Raven's house. Cami's natural silverish-grey eyes gleam mischieviously as she makes her way down to the house, her stilettos clicking on the cement. Thinking of what their group planned to do tonight made cami want to giggle and run and do all other sorts of only semi-cool stuff, so she keeps her composure neutral yet playfully as she joins her class-mates.

"Hey guys, what are we waiting for? I'm so ready to head to that house already and pick up some candy along the way," Cami says somewhat enthustiastically, rubbing her hands together, the lacey, fingerless silk gloves making no noise as they rub together.

i sighed, placing my book on my bed and getting up to get changed. i was going to be a Faye, despite my irrational fear for them. they just reminded me of evil fairies, part fairy and part devil. thinking about it still gave me shivers and goosebumps. taking out my outfit, i refused to call it a costume it sounds childish. all it consisted of was a baby pink shirt, a large fluffy black jacket, a black headband, a black poofy belt, a skull and cross necklace, knee high black boots with a 4 1/2 heel, and lacy socks that almost reached my thighs. the only thing missing....pants. you see...the shirt was barely...just barely able to cover...that. groaning I put on boy short panties to make myself feel...less revealing. not yet putting on my wings i brushed out my light brown hair and placed my headband on. walking out of my room i went into the living room to grab my wings.

"Mom? Sis? help." i called into the house.
"Coming coming." my mother, of only 5'1 came walking out of her study room.
"Thanks" i said as she turned me around to fix my wings onto my back. they were...big for fake wings. they felt almost real but the feathers were not as soft. they looked like real wings too. they curved and some of the feathers stuck out to give it a more realistic look.
"Welcome. now call your friends and get going," she looked at me, "dont do anything retarded ok?" she looked at me with a stern gaze.
"ok...fine," i walked back to her, "bye mom." i said as i walked out side, planning to call Raven. or Shimo...which ever answered.

"raven...hey...can i head over yet? i am ready. is Shim there? call me back when you get the chance." i hung up not bothering to call Shimo. he was worse when it came to answering the phone, more so than Raven. sighing i began to walk towards Raven house anyways. it would take me a good 10 mins to get there...and i was in heels. great.

Raven's smile dropped as Kitty neared. And she now stared with dull, lifeless eyes. It wasn't that she didn't like Kitty, she was like this to everyone except Shimo. She wasn't sure why that was, she had only known him for about two years and if he got the chance he would spill all of her darkest secrets. With Kitty now in the door way between Raven and Shimo Raven backed away a little. Kitty was just too...perky. When Camille got to her doorstep she took another step back, she didn't like big crowds. Why is everyone gathering at my doorstep? Sighing, Raven turned around and began to walk back to her room leaving the door wide open. She had forgotten to grab her hat and broomstick.

As she entered her room Raven opened her window and let out a low whistle. Out of the darkness a small raven flew into her room through the open window and landed on her shoulder. "Hey there Vasco. How ya doing?" The Bird was silent. Thats when her phone rang. Raven looked down at her cell, it was Kaye She's probably wondering if she can come over. Flipping open her cell Raven listened to the message "raven...hey...can i head over yet? i am ready. is Shim there? call me back when you get the chance." Sighing Raven dialed Kaye's cell. "Ya you can come your the only one who asked and ya Shim's over here." She hung up and sat on her bed not sure if she wanted to go back downstairs.

Kitty bit her lip best time to go back to being silent she sealed her lips and didn't speak as if she was a mute she could do this for days and weeks because when you live in a dark apartment by yourself you tend to stay mute for a few weeks. she placed her head deep into the collar of her school jacket now only her nose and eyes showed. she shifted uncomfortably moving her feet so the faced each other toe to toe moving her hands up into the long jacket so you could only see the tips of her figure nails. she was so silent in school and put herself on mute that when she talked it made her sound so...so...so girly Kitty hated the word she hated feeling girly. the word made her want to scream her past isn't all rainbows and unicorns another thing she hated. she moved her hand over her right arm were the scar stayed she could feel it and she hated the thought of those days the thought of them. she could feel all the scars now all of them bleeding the side of her head the other scar stayed she had hid the long scar the covered the edge of her face with a lock of black hair. on each leg and arm there stayed the scars all of them to remind her of her past.

walking up into Raven's house i saw Shimo and a bunch of other people just standing there. giving an irrtated sigh i pushed past them.
"Hey Shim!" i called as i walked into the house, not bothered by the large amounts of halloween people. figuring that Raven would be in her room i stood at the base of the stairs and yelled, "Raven? i am going up there ok?" before starting up the stairs. as i reached her room i saw that the raven that Raven had befriended was with her. walking in slowly so i wouldnt cause too much alarm i spoke in a calm quiet voice...as much as i could.
"Raven...come on!lets go already," i whisper yelled to her, "Shim is outside and there are a bunch of random people standing there....i want to get a head start ok?" i walked closer my voice nearing a whine, "Raven! come come! get your stuff...and lets get the hell out of hear with Shim and who ever else is coming!"

Raven turned her head and looked at Kaye and sighed. In a dull lifeless voice she used with everyone that wasn't Shimo she said, "ya ya I'm coming just let me get my hat." The small raven fluttered to her shoulder and comfortably perched there. Raven put the large purple witch hat on her head and began to walk back downstairs not bothering to look and see if Kaye was following. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs and stared at the mob of people gathering at the entrance to her home. Why my home?? Sighing she pushed through the crowd and grabbed Shimo's hand dragging him with her.

Russet was unsure of what lied ahead of her, if the decision to sneak out for some nightly fun would perish in flames or would merely bring her a slight joy. With a vague frown she threw a leg over the windowsill and moments later, after a light, easy climb, she was atop the soil. Feet barely russling the grass she made her way down the street. Her costume wasn't exactly what you'd call appropriate, though she was a demon, and according to her over-religious adoption-parents they did their best to subdue both men and women. The black corset exposed a lot of skin but she found it extremely comfortable, minus the restricting grip just at her waist. Her fingertips brushed along the rose at her neck momentarily as she spotted a group of others. Though she didn't join them, preferably walking alone and entering their little party when they reached the house, she watched them carefully.

Shimo was starled out of his thoughts when he noticed that there was more than just Raven here. He sighed seeing so many people around. I don't know half these people except they're from the hellhole I attened... he thought then said "Who are all of you people?" he thought that it would only be him, Raven, and Kayle for Halloween.

"I would like to know why people suddenly decide that we are 'cool' enough to join our Halloween group," he said in a monitone voice, he looked at the strangers with dull eyes. I hate strangers, this month has been horrible. Why can't the end be nice? Shimo had a very bad sinking feeling in his chest, then he knew that this night would end in horror. He felt a warm hand touch his cold one and noticed it was Raven's "Hello, Raven," he said with an actual smile.

Kitty looked up at Shimo moving her hand up into the air and out of no were a key appeared she moved the key across her mouth "Kitty." she threw the key into the air and caught it. why do i always feel like a outcast? Kitty was always alone in school she wasn't popular she wasn't cool she wasn't even considered part of a group she was just there she was a nobody and always would be no matter what. Kitty jumped off the steps of the house she was positive she had asked Raven but she must have mistaken.

Raven smiled back, "Glad to see you came back to reality Shim." She turned her head when she head Kitty speak "Yes this is Kitty and this is Lilly." Raven gestured to Camille and Kitty. "And Kaye should be down in a second. The small raven perched on her should gave out a loud cry. "What is it Vasco? are you hungry?" Out of a small pouch at her side Raven pulled out some dried corn and feed it to Vasco. The raven greedily ate the corn. "So Shim? you read to go?"

"I'm ready.. As long as I get one of their secrets they can come along also," Shimo said then crossed his arms. He raised his eyebrows at the strangers and couldn't decided whether of not to trust these people. He stared at them studying there reactions from what he said. I wonder why this Kitty person is very quite.... I must have done something... And what was with the key thing? he thought slightly irrritated that they hadn't replied.

"What is it with you and secrets?" Raven smiled up at Shimo as she said this. Then she looked over at Kitty and Camille and sighed "Well i guess if they want to come it's okay with me... But well have to see what Kaye says... I think she's still upstairs... Come help me find her Shim." Raven grabbed Shimo's hand again and dragged him back up stairs in search of Kaye.

Shadow had been standing silently across the street from Raven's house why were so many people gathering there Shadow spotted kitty and ran over Shadow thought Kitty was nice and she was quiet just like her Shadow smiled to Kitty "Hia Kitty whats going on here why is everyone at Raven's house" Shadow tilted her head to the side curiously while the black cat that had been on her shoulder jumped on her head and stared at Kitty curiously.

i then realized that Raven was no longer in the room....
"AH! Wait for me!!!" i shouted skipping down the steps. forgetting i had wings i ran up behind Shimo, placed my hands on his shoulders, and jumped up.
"Shim!" i yelled startling him, "hey! what is up! what are you?" i giggled. poor boy...one day he was going to murder me with all the torture i do to him. "Just Kidding," i punched him arm when he gave me a pissed off expression, "I know what you are idiot. you're a vampire! and guess what i am?" i didnt give him time to answer, "I am a Faye! You know what that is right? it is like a fairy...but i think Fayes are i bit eviler. they are part fairy and part devil!" i made a face and laughed. tonight was going to be fun.

Shimo just stared at Kaye with blank eyes. "You really like to be around people don't you.... Why is that?" he asked with a faint trace of curiosity. He looked toward the other people and said "You guys really don't want to tell me hm. What secrets are you hiding?" I want these people to leave, I don't like strangers and they pose a threat. He still had the bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

After a few minutes of just scrutinizing the crowd of kids, Russet approached. She didn't exactly feel like an outcast since she knew most of the people there, though she wasn't exactly the best of friends with most of them. "Hey guys," she greeted warmly, though she looked as if her mind was on other things. Truthfully, this night felt extremely wrong, and though she pondered over everything she could be weary about there was nothing she was currently aware of that posed a threat. With a small silent sigh she looked around, watching Shimo momentarily, then Raven, and then the sidewalk, looking a little pale.

Raven tried to suppress a small laugh but failed and let out a small musical laugh when she saw the expression on Shimo's face after Kaye practically glommed him. "Awww Kaye leave him alone. You know Shim hates being jumped on." Raven said mockingly. She smiled up at Shim and squeezed his hand a little tighter showing that she was only teasing him. Raven was almost certain she got some strange looks from the crowd at her door step it was very unusual to see her smile let alone laugh.

"i dont like being around people Shim!" i whispered in his ear, "I want to punch them in the stomach," raising my voice i stood back up, "Ne...Raven...i know Shim doesnt like that!" i smiled, "That is why i do it! and can we please get out of here! i wanna head start. i bet you that i will get the mostest candy ever!" i grinned. i loved bets. they made me happy...and sometimes...they made me money. another thing i loved!

Kitty looked at Shadow then pointed to Raven and Shimo then lifted her bag she placed her key in it. she used the key to control her speaking if she got to happy. Kitty walked behind the group next to Shadow her and Shadow were friends not B.F.F's or anything just distant friends they talked at lunch and in Homeroom but they weren't close. Then again Kitty never considered anyone close to her she was the distant friend she had never tried and never spoke to much she never made a big scene like everyone else she was silent and thats what she was told her whole life to be. Silent. Kitty looked at the cat and smiled placing her hand on its head.
