Appearance: 5'11. Blonde. Gray/blue eyes. Although not terribly tall Jacob gives the impression of height with his lanky build and loose limbs. Traditional robes seem to bother him immensely and in most cases he much prefers more casual "Muggle" fashions like Jeans. when he is robed Jacob tends to where dark blue or gray colors with minimal accents. He also keeps his hair short which seems to go against popular wizard fashion trends. When not teaching he's commonly seen wearing a suede jacket lined with fleece and a overly long tri-colored scarf. He is man of natural fluid grace and purpose.

Personality

Personality: Often described as being chronically Jovial in nature Jacob always seems to wear placid smile and a fondness for humming which he can usually be heard doing whenever he's on the move or focusing on something. Casual with a brisk persona his carefree demeanor masks a more serious and thoughtful underbelly. A careful man, Jacob disproves of elitism and tends to keep close tabs on his students. He is difficult to anger and generally a very fair man although when the situation calls for it, his reaction time is swift and exacting.

Animal/Familiar: None to speak of.

Patronus: Both he and Susan's patronus apear in the form of a Swan. In use Jacob's Patronis rarely takes full form as he is not particularly good at preforming the charm.

History

History: Born to highly socially active Wizarding parents. Jacob was the older of the McKennley children having come into the world an entire three minutes sooner than his sister Susan did. A fact he rarely let her forget.

Upon attending Hogwarts Jacob was sorted into Gryfindor but developed several close friendships with students in other houses than him. Through nearly half of his Hogwarts education, Jacob struggled intensely in classes with strong magical applications such as Charms and Transfiguration and was not a great reader which made text book based classes difficult. In more hands on subjects like Herbology and Care of Magical creatures, Jacob seemed to find his comfort zone and did eventually show limited signs of excellence.

Both the twins were popular among the student body although Jacob was the more outgoing of the two and often compensated for his academic short comings with humor and easy going charm.

In his later years Jacob's weaker subjects did even themselves out and despite not always being very good at magical execution his O.W.L.S reflected that he did have a very strong understanding of magical theory and passed with marks that were significantly better than many of his educators predicted they would be.

During their fifth year Susan and Jacob's father was reportedly killed presumably while he was carrying out a mission for the Order of the Phoenix. The exact details of what he was doing and how he was killed were never made public.

Upon graduating from Hogwarts Jacob entered into the Order of the Phoenix. He also dabbled in working for the Ministery of Magic but eventually left the position he held there to return to Hogwarts as a teacher. His sister Susan also became an educator and the siblings were reunited after nearly 15 years of separation.
