Introduction
“Have the courage to live. Anyone can die.” is the quote by which US Marshall Ivy Raybon lives her life. A hardworking woman in a world of thugs and crime where our most feared criminals are named for the terror they inflict on people. Having trained hard and focused ever harder she has spent her whole life working to get into her current position, federal agent as a US Marshall. Everyday she finds people and families only to whisk them away from the lives they have always led and plop them down in a new life, one safer from there last one. Rather it is because they angered a man of the mafia or is appointed to testify in a dangerous case that puts there lives in danger, whatever it is Ivy is there.
Ethan Donalds has spent his entire life running from the cops, his motto "Stay alive and do whatever is necessary to make enough money to live lavishly". He has spent his entire life surrounded by the hatred and pain that comes with a life of poverty in a big city. He himself being one of the hired thugs that roam the streets, a mercenary, a murderer for hire willing to take a life so long as the pay is good. It is all he has ever known, countless people has he tortured into spilling there deepest darkest secrets. He has seen many people cry like a baby, begging for mercy at any cost, to have him stop the pain he inflicts on them but it does not faze him, so long as he gets the information he was hired to extract.
What happens when these too ill-fated young people cross paths? Ethan hired to extract information from Ivy and she determined to keep her mouth shut. He has never met someone so determined to not tell him anything, he'd like to admire her for it but her resolve is what's keeping him from getting a better life. She sees a conflicted soul and a complicated past in his eyes, she'd like to figure him out and help him but the torture he inflicts on her makes it hard for her to do anything but loath him. Will these two make it past these complications? Will they do so before time runs out? With Ethan's employers trial date edging closer the heat is on to find out where the key witness is located and Ivy is the only one who knows.

OOC Notes
Darkness. Abyssal darkness. It surrounded her, engulfing her. As far as she could see there was nothing. Nothing but the cold blackness that encircled her. There was nothing here but herself and that in itself was more frightening than the obscurity she found herself in. She had never been much afraid of the dark even as a child she found it eerily calming. However this was different, here she was alone. No one to hear her shout for joy. No one to hear her cry out. No one to care. “Ivy you must wake up now, there is much to be done” the voice boomed in the darkness. It frightened her for a second, causing the young woman to jump slightly. However it was only a moment later that she felt the darkness fade away, nowoverpowered by a new scene.
The woman opened her eyes slowly blinking a few times as her eyes adjusted to the lighting. She held her head up and looked around at her surroundings which were not at all remotely familiar. Her head throbbed, the source of the pain being a large goose-egg on her forehead. She was sitting in a wooden chair that was the sole piece of furniture in the dingy white room. A dim light radiated from the small light bulb that hung down over her head. Peering around the room, her eyes rested on a small tripod set up in the corner of the room a red, recording, light shining brightly on the video recorder. She gasped slightly at the things presence, her mind unwillingly wondering why whomever had brought her here could want to document there interactions with her.
Her ankles were cuffed to the legs of the chair and hands cuffed behind her back to the body of the chair. Her arms and legs were sore, probably from her body being in the same position for too long. Her wrists and ankles were chaffed from overly tight hand cuffs, whomever had cuffed her obviously was not a gentle person. She tried to remember what had happened that she ended up cuffed to a chair in a foreign place but nothing came to mind. The last thing she remembered was opening the door to her apartment after returning home from a long and exhausting day at work. “Hello is anyone there?” She called her mouth dry and voice cracked because of it.
She was a slight little woman, of a short stature and petite build but she had courage that was well matched to some of the best people in her business. Being a US Marshall, a fact that she prided herself on, she relied heavily on that courage and strong sense of right and wrong to get her through a normal days work. She had beautiful blue eyes as mighty as the stormy ocean they so strikingly mirrored. Her head, of flowing curly fiery orange hair, was always held high with either a sense of pride of determination depending upon the situation. The woman had a personality that was hard to ignore and not used to being ignored she called out to the blank room again "I know your watching, why not man up and show yourself," this time her voice louder and more sure of itself.
