After the disapearace of his father, Nikolas serches for this "book" he was raving about just before his disapearance. Nikolas discovers more than this book, but a few deadly secreats that may threaten his life, his family, and maybe the whole of Undertown.

As soon as the black strand grabbed her and lifted her of the ground, Beckki screamed a little, then silently cursed herself for sounding like a wimp, and without her really wanting to, a good-sized spark hits the black strand around her and causes a tiny explosion. The black strand evaporates and she falls back to the ground.

Nik sighed, "What part of 'relax' you don't understand? You freaked out, causing fluctuations in the code!" he told her, reaching for the card again.

Beckki saw him reaching for the card. "No!" she yelled, held out her hand, and shot a very small bolt of electricity at his hand.

Nik rolled his eyes, "Library Wars were evil, Deathbending, not so much," he lifted to her feet, "lean on me, and if you kick or punch, I will drop you," he told her.

Library Wars? Deathbending? What were those? Beckki was going to ask, but then decided to save them for later.
Nik helped her to her feet. "Why would I kick or punch you? You are trying to help me."

Beckki shook her head. She needs to stay calm, or she'll recieve no help from him. Yet she really wanted to punch him for being a smart aleck. She didn't though. "Sometimes people in pain tend to be snappy."

When Nik flung her over his shoulder, it took ever inch of willpower not to punch him. "Why are you carry me like this???"

"You do realize that this is the improper way to carry someone, don't you?" Beckki asked, carefully not to sound mad, which might make him mad.
