Introduction
We're strong in numbers for that is where our heart will always lye, within the company of those we love.
We're also strong on our own as long as we have that one person by our side, like any other, love defines us.
We are those who share the souls of wolves...
The playful term would be werewolves but no one cares for the petty names that have accumulated over centuries. We're immortal, we're indestructable...we're awfully bigged up. We live, we die just like any other.
We are born with the spirits of wolves within us. When the time is right...our wolves will make themselves known to us and we will shift for the first time but we cannot do it alone...
Being a wolf can have its perks but at the same time it can have its faults, life altering faults...girls cant shift without their mates...but what if they dont tell their mates in time...many things can go wrong...what if their mates fail to claim them in time...what if, what if...finding your mate is such a fragile business.
Not only that but some must face up to their responsibilities...
Some must learn to forget...
To forgive...
To understand...that sharing a life with a wolf isnt an easy burden.
--- ---
You'll be a wolf. Male or female the list will be below for the choices.
You'll be in a pack and the packs are vast!
The story line in the beginning is based around you and your mates and your pack life but other things will happen, a wolfs life is never dull.
There are rogues pushing at the borders...they want more...and they wont wait forever...
All pack members naturally live under the same roof, some moved into houses close by but the majority prefer to be close. Everything surrounding that house is their territory/ land.
[center]
[center] Things you should know (read)
Everything in the Pack house is presumably large because of all the people that live in it. It consists of: Everything a house is expected to have as well as a movie room, tennis court, basket ball court, pool, gym and a games room containing all the consoles and every board game under the sun!
Everyone has a suite with a double bed, flat screen and essentials.
Mates share a bond. At first it is not apparent but the female will always acknowledge who her mate is first. The male must wait until his mate tells him who she is. This can frustrate many males because sometimes their mates are shy, scared of being rejected or just plain dont know yet- the greatest fear is not having a mate.
Mate are your other part. In a mushy way they complete you. In the real sense they honestly do. They become your best friend, your lover and the other side to your soul. The protection and attraction you feel to your other half is beyond imagining! The day you realise your mate you cant imagine a day when you didnt know.
How it works
A female will realise who her mate is almost instantly when it becomes apparent. That is when the bond will begin to grow. They will feel an unearthly pull towards that male and will have an unchallenged love for them no matter whom they may be. You dont get to choose these things they just are as they are.
A male will remain clueless of whom his mate is until she tells him. However the longer the female knows about her mate and the more time they spend near eachother the stronger the bond will become ie. the pull will strengthen. Males will feel an unexplainable need to protect a female, they'll tell her things and wonder why on earth they did, they'll naturally bump into her more and more as their wolf naturally seeks her out.
A male's wolf will know who their mate is but the wolf wont utter a single word to him. He'll say things like "Shes near" but to a clueless guy "shes near" could mean anything!
When a female comes round to telling the male that she is his mate he will have to claim her (wink wink) to make it completely clear to their wolves and themselves that they are most definitely mates and that the male has accepted the female as his other half! Yay.
Males will then have to help their mates through their first shift. You see the females will not shift until they have a mate.
Males: Become aware of your wolves at age 6-7
As soon as you are aware of your wolf you will shift on the first full moon afterwards.
You'll grow up and you'll have the words of your wolf in your ears from then on helping you through life.
Females: You dont have quite the same luxury as the boys.
You will only receive your wolf when you recognise your mate and tell him. (So no voices for you till then)
Your mate must then help you through your first shift which will be on the first full moon from telling him.
If your mate fails at helping you in your first shift. You will die.
Your first shift is dangerous as you are releasing your inner wolf and by that i mean you turn into a wolf for the first time. Scary stuff.
Wolves are like a conscious muttering stuff in your ear. Sometimes it will telling you something it senses, danger, your mate. Othertimes it'll be giving you its unwanted opinion on something. You cant help acting in a more feral manor when you've got a wolf whispering in your noggin.
Shifting isnt a walk in the park otherwise why would there be risk of death?
First shift
On your first shift you recieve your wolf. You wont know what to expect on your first shift and therefore the pain tends to take you by surprise. You'll be experiencing bones, breaking, changing and dislocating in various places and that'll put the H in your Howl.
Males
When Males first shift anyone around them should try to help, usually your Alpha can sense when you're approaching your first shift so he'll be lingering close to you by instinct. Older males are called in around about the time young males are due to shift so that theres more help around when the time comes. Males tend to have a good resistance to the pain though it still hurts like something else!
Being at quite a young age you'd think you'd be more vulnerable to death but it seems in your youth you rely on adults more therefore you find it easier to take instructions from them and know that they're right without question.
Its even easier due to the fact that 90% of the time your alpha will be present and using his authority that ol' dog can save your life. (also helps with bonding and loyalty when your alpha aids your shift)
Are your wolves any help?
Surprisingly your wolves are of no help when you take your first shift, in fact in a way they hinder you and make the experience harder to handle. All they want is to be released and they'll be clouting in your ear to let them go regardless of whether you're ready or not. Thats why its so important to have others there to observe and help you, making sure you dont release your wolf before your body is ready. Releasing a wolf too early is like having a premature birth and it can and will kill you.
Females
When females first shift its all down to their mates to help them through it. Its all alittle more tramatic for a female and an almighty rush to the head to all of a sudden have your wolf's voice in your ear and the pain and pressure of shifting and having to trust your life into someone else hands, sometimes someone you hardly know! Their mates need to be strong and sturdy with them to make sure they dont cave in to the pain or their wolves inner voice in their ear.
Being older females can struggle to listen or pay attention to their mates, it helps if your mate is older because naturally instincts will suggest more experience but if your mate is the same age or younger even it can have a dramatic effect on whether or not you can accept their instructions when you feel like your spines being ripped out.
Females can easily turn quite selfish when they're going through their first shift. Due to pain and the suddeness their points of view can become one sided not to mention their wolves are very selfish when they first pop into existance- they cant even think what it might be like for their mates having to handle such a life-changing moment where if they fail the female rifling about in their arms, they'll be second in line for responsible of her death, and will lose their only partner after literally only having just met her.
Theres no sensing when a female will shift all you know is it will be on full moon, what time exactly on that date remains unknown so yeah..you'll be on tender hooks alittle. Just make sure she doesnt go into the bathroom and lock the door lads otherwise you'll be having a test of strength when you have to break it down.
The smartest, safest thing to do is tell your mate who he is as soon as possible before the next full moon so that you can prepare eachother alittle. Not always the case though with shy, reluctant females who let the little things worry them like: What if he'd rather have ''___'' as his mate?
Overall
For the first time you get weak, theres a bloodloss that seems alot to the eye but isnt essentially to the body though it will leave you feeling heady and light.
Guys your girls are going to be like puppies no matter how mature they seem usually theres no avoiding the refresh of being a wolf for the first time. They wont be small and fumbling around your paws like new borns but they'll be smaller than you (so careful), new to the world with heightened senses and well they wont know whats good for them unless you tell them.
Girls your guys are going to be pretty rowdy in their wolf forms, its natural so watch you back (literally)
Shifting always takes place on full moon. However in future shifting you may find you can shift slightly early from full moon if you wanted to but never later than full moon.
Future Shifts
Future shifts are still painful, but not to worry, being aware of what to expect takes away the stress and fear of the unknown, after a while your body will begin to numb towards the feeling out of being used to it but it will always involve pain- just a fact of life.

Rules
More characters can be added and the mates of one another will be decided later- just to let you know Rogues are usually males so sorry girls
You know the basics dont make me type them all!!
To outline a few things:
Sex isnt allowed to be described but in this Rp just using the word- claimed gives us all a nice hint and besides you can hint at it but dont describe it.
Please be literate: Not five sentenses because i will literally spear you alive and wave my barbarian stick about :D
You know we need to be generous with our words and just cause i said no describing sex in great detail doesnt been you cant describe literally everything else >:D
I'll be posting first so if you follow my lead you'll know how much approximately to write.
Anything you want to know or ask or anything can go in the OOC!! Or Pm me you know whatever you prefer. Keep to the character Skeleton otherwise we can all go home now...i mean i didnt type it up for the hell of it ;D
If you have ideas you think will be good honestly just blurt them out on the OOC it'll be fine. Any questions about the ideas so far- they're brief but i can explain them more if you like- and once we're all posting it'll make a heck load more sense
Dont join and then disppear off the radar i mean...really you mischeivious little gits!!
Swearing...you know fine..not alot of it..if your character stumbs his toes on the door he can scream blasphemy if he wants but not after every other word or i'll chuck something at you
Okay...cant think of anything else at the moment :3 see yA!

Kurokiku wrote:Overall, this is a very solid RP with a cast of equally-solid writers manning the helm. Should werewolves and romance be your sort of thing, it's certainly worth a perusal. The mechanics were a little messy in places, and a few of you could benefit from taking just a little more time to proofread before you hit 'submit,' but it doesn't interfere with understanding the story. Especially with all the characters to contend with at the beginning, you guys did very well keeping track of who was doing what and making the necessary acknowledgments in your posts. I'd advise keeping OOC notes out of the IC though; it breaks the flow of the story pretty significantly even if they're just at the bottom in parentheses. Good job making characters that were all distinct from one another- sometimes a challenge with a cast as big as yours. If you're looking for ways to improve, I suggest slowing down a bit and allowing yourselves to really explore the sensory possibilities. You seemed to remember for the most part that your characters had good noses, but that doesn't preclude giving some detail to what they see and hear as well.

Lounging upon the bed on her stomach Emmy rubbed her forehead with the back of her hand staring down at the crinkled homework sheet a pen poised to write as it hovered over the fourth question. Her face gave way to a farsighted gaze- 'What was a mate', she knew the answer to that question more than anything. She'd like to meet a girl who didnt know. Scribbling down the answer absently she flicked the paper to the side and rolled onto her back letting out a sigh and pulling the loose jumper down over her bum as it rode up in the change.
Today had been destine to be a doss from kick starting it all by getting up late- so late everyone had evidently presumed she'd already left, otherwise someone would have been in here not a minute after 9:00am over turning the matress, to fooling around in the pool, sneaking a snack from the kitchen under Cassidy's nose and now lazying about doing over-due homework.
What was a mate. What a question. It was almost insulting having it as homework, not knowing that was like not knowing how to breathe. Her eyes wondered across the ceiling as she thought about it, sometimes she wished she didnt know...
Glancing at the alarm clock Emmy supposed it was safe to show her face- dinner was approaching and that meant they'd have a house full soon enough! She copped out on any day time tasks that may have been appointed to her if she'd been hanging around looking bored (the alphas were good at that) but there was no way she could avoid helping cook the evening meal, after all they needed all the helping hands they could get to feed so many mouths. With a groan she wiggled her body over to the edge of the bed before sliding off and slouching to her feet making her way out of the bedroom and down the stairs peering over the banister to see who was hanging about before she bounced down the steps with a lazy grin in place.
OOC Notes
Who can ponder the thoughts of an alpha male, charged with the direction and future of so many dozens of souls, entrusted with the alpha voice to provide guidance and protection, to lay the foundation for the future generations of their kind?
And what occupies his mind, as he purveys the community under his care, their eyes on him for his example, ready to put their trust in his spoken volition, or to stand by him laying down their lives together for the good of the pack?
At that precise moment, nothing quite so profound was occupying Cid, who was rather more contemplative of whether or not the Evolution T-Max 18V cordless circular saw really could glide through a two inch thick piece of wood even if there were nails embedded in it. And, pulling his safety glasses down onto his face, he pulled the safety switch and put it to the test.
The hitherto quiet workshop was suddenly jolted with the piercing buzz of wood being cut, and the hot smell of fresh sawdust. It went on for about thirty seconds, before Cid stepped back, removed the goggles and looked at the bisected piece of wood; the cross-section of a cleanly-sliced nail clearly visible.
Impressive.
He dropped the two planks on the floor, carefully cleaned off the saw blade and placed it neatley on the steel racking where his other tools were kept. He looked down at his wrist, but realised that he had taken his watch off to test the saw out, and wasn't quite sure where he had set it down. He'd been in the workshop for several hours, and had almost no idea what time it was, but he was pretty sure it must be approaching dinner time. Which meant the pack would be gathering soon.
He used the small basin and faucet installed in the same room to wash his hands, then went through the door back into the main part of the house.

OOC Notes
"Watch it, Emmy!" Lux dodges out of the way as Emmy bounds down the stairs, almost colliding with her.
She can hear someone - probably Cassidy - rattling around in the kitchen and knows the boys will be home, soon - they never miss a meal. She'd spent the afternoon finishing the cleaning chores Cid had dished out to her, but her efforts are sure to go unappreciated; the pack is like a whirlwind, leaving mess and muddy footprints in it's wake.
She glances down at herself: her jeans are stained with bleach from cleaning the boy's shower - a disgusting job - and her top is dirty from where she'd used the sleeve to dust a shelf. She'd better change before dinner; Cid and Cassidy don't have many formal rules, but disrespect will earned you a week cleaning toilets.
Her bedroom is dominated by her wardrobe - a monster of a unit with at least a dozen mirrors. After several moments of careful thought, she decides upon simple, tan trousers and a navy blouse (she'd been lectured about miniskirts twice this week, already). A quick, discreet smoke out of her window and she's ready to face the rest of the pack and the chaos they call 'dinner'.
Mina sat outside staring into the distance where the hills and tiny houses unlike her own dotted the horizon far away. Off their property of course. She slid her free hand over the rim of her special teacup softly feeling the brown liquid swish to her movements. Her other hand rested on the handle keeping a firm grip, more for comfort of knowing it was there.
She could hear the stirrings of a couple of people on the property. Cid, who was near his dainty workshop somewhere doing whatever he did to bide his time. Emmy who was in the house probably waiting for the others. She wasn't sure. It had been too quiet in the house so she didn't exactly know what the girl was doing. Lux who had been cleaning and doing her chores. Mina had finished her own earlier on. Much earlier. She sighed softly and turned her silvery gaze to the house staring up at it's size. How long had it been since she had been here? How well did she know the people living there other than herself? These were all questions that popped into the mind when looking at the figure house. She considered herself to be like family with most of the members of the pack. Why wouldn't she be?
I don't know. I wonder when the others will get back. Or perhaps they're around? I don't hear or scent anything. Just like a hibernating nest of bees before something wakes them up. Just wait.
She chuckled and picked up her teacup to sip at the fluid inside. It tasted warm and sweet and the moist nature of it made her feel light on the sunny day. Previously sunny. Yes. She nodded confirming her thought as she took another long sip speeding up her drinking pace so that she could finish by the time the others arrived. It was never good to be too late. It was getting closer to dinner and the sun was lowering by each minute whether her eyes could discern that or not. She sighed once more, tensing and relaxing to calm her stuttering nerves. She spotted Emmy crash into Lux as she came down the stairs and debated calling out to say hello to both of them. She craved to do so but she hesitated simply satisfied to watch until perhaps either of them noticed her instead. She pulled the cup up to take another sip subconsciously but stopped when nothing but a drop landed on her lips. She scowled down at the cup huffing in prepared disdain. "Well then." She stood grabbing the cup and saucer in hand to head inside walking past the girls and into the kitchen area. "Hello, Emmy. Lux. Nice day?" She stopped at the sink and looked over her shoulder directing her gaze to said girls expectantly. She did notice that Cassidy was in the kitchen and glanced over to give her a respectful nod greeting before returning her attention to the ones she had spoken too. She would talk with Cassidy in a moment if possible. It would be rude not too.

Lux snorts at the question, "Nice day?" she repeats, holding out her hands - wrinkled by water and cleaning fluid - for inspection "All that cleaning ruined my nails." She raises her voice for the last part, loud enough that Cassidy will hear, but if the alpha female hears her complaints, she doesn't indulge the teenager with acknowledgement.
"And have you seen the state of the boys' shower room?" She asks, incredulous, "It's like a disaster zone."
She pulls herself up on to the kitchen counter, legs swinging idly over the edge. She twirls red hair between her fingers, thoughtfully, as though trying to word herself carefully, "Do you ever think about how life will change, once your with your mate?" she asks - an oddly deep question for dinnertime - "Not just the mess, I mean, but the whole turning into a wolf thing?"

Jeff was fumbling around somewhat for his door key. Dropping his rucksack onto the ground he checked all his pockets, and eventually located it. He really needed to clear all the rubbish out of his coat at some point. Notes, print-outs, leaflets he'd picked up...he was like a walking filing cabinet right now.
He'd not hurried back from town after classes, instead choosing to swing by the model store and pick up a few pieces, and a few pots of enamel paint. His purchases were, of course, safely tucked away in his bag, out of sight of any of the guys less appreciative of the more 'sedate' passtimes and who might feel tempted to heckle about it.
He opened the door into the hallway, just in time to see three of the girls swirling around each other at the bottom of the stairs. He slung his pack and made his way over, planning to get upstairs and drop his stuff before coming back down and settling down in the living area to do the reading he'd been assigned for classes.
"Hey everyone." he said with a quick smile as he skirted around them to get onto the stairs. As he hurried up onto the balcony he afforded a quick glance back at the three of them. It seemed like he'd known them forever; living with them, getting ready in the morning around them, eating meals with them, even taking some classes with them. And it was only in the past year that he had started to contemplate how strange it was that one of them could be....he couldn't even quite bring himself to say it in his head.
He dipped into his room, dropped the pack on his bed and took out the few bits and pieces he's bought in town, laying them out on his small painting table in the corner. Tossing his coat onto the corner of his bed (having forgotten any intention of cleaning it out), he re-emerged and skittered down the stairs again, a book under his arm, and made his way to the lounge.

Tyler pulled himself up over the last branch of the tree and looked back at the house. From here it actually looked kind of small but he knew it was far from that. Had to be to hold all of them in it. He chuckled and sat down in the crook of the tree, about 30 feet off the ground. His main enjoyment was being outdoors doing something, so that's what he had decided to do today. He looked up at the sky and realized that the sun that had been originally on his left is now on his right. "Whoops. Time to be getting home." he says and climbs down the tree. About 10 feet off the ground he grabs a branch that suddenly snaps off at the trunk and he starts falling down. He reorients himself and manages to land on his feet but still crashes to the ground. "Well that was fun..." he mutters as he dusts himself off and heads back down the trail to the house.
He walks up to the house and goes in through the kitchen door to grab a cloth to wipe his skinned knee off. He gets a cloth from the counter and wets it in the sink and wipes the blood away from his knee. "Well, that ain't bad. Just a bit of a scratch." He says to himself and turns his attention to the rest of the house. Wonder what everyone has been up to today he thinks and grabs a piece of bread from a cabinet and sits down at the kitchen table for a quick bite.

Emmy didnt quite register that ''watch out'' meant stop considering the speed she was going didnt necessarily suggest she even had a choice! Luckily Lux was better on her toes and dodged her before she hit the bottom step. Well wasnt this just dandy the alpha was no where to be seen but thinking too soon Emmy did a tense demonstration of musical statues at the slight of Cassidy.
Mina gave both her and Lux a shout out asking about their day. Nope now she definately knew Emmy was present- fingers crossed she hadnt noticed how the house wasnt hoovered quite the way it usually was!! She gave a grin as she leaned over to see Lux's hands wrinkly from water and stinking of bleach as they drifted into the kitchen. "Rather you than me Lux rather you than me" she gave Mina a playful nudge with her hip before giving the teacup she held a polite shove out of her face wrinkling her nose at the smell of tea-leafs. "I had a great day" she added under her breath giving Cassidy the wondering eye.
She gave Jeff a backward wave of acknowledgement as he thundered up the stairs behind her before slouching over a counter pulling her legs up to balance her weight on the side. When Lux mentioned mates Emmy set her feet back on the floor and shrugged feeling her entire being cave away from the subject.
"Who knows" she muttered before giving Lux a playful grin. "Bit of a deep sea diving question before tea eh Lux?" she teased.
When Tyler slipped in so graciously through the side door Emmy scowled at him taking up the bread from the side. Flamin' scroungers she thought.

Mina smiled. She couldn't help herself. As she washed the fine china being gentle with the fragile ware she laughed and responded. "It's okay Lux. I think the next girl who cleans up their bathroom will say the same thing. You could try holding salt or rice to de-wrinkle your hands." She shot Emmy a bright grin, one of the rare sights on her face, and continued doing what she had been doing. She dried the wares then set the high above the cabinets, stretching to reach that far. She turned promptly finished and headed to the couch as she spotted Jeffrey. "Hey." She watched his back as he headed upstairs then turned to the other girls with a smirk.
"Lux. I think our lives would be even more of a challenge. Specially considering we would have to make more tea and do more chores. Then we would have to care for them as well as the rest of the pack. Then our wolves would be present. I guess. So then we could-" She stopped speaking having realized she had been rambling on about the topic. She pulled her lower lip in between her teeth feeling nervous before shaking her head. "You get the point."
She heard Jeffrey come back down and watched as he set himself on the lounge. Speaking of love would Jeff interest her? She slowly shook her head absently. She didn't think of him as anything more than friends. She considered him a good friend. She brushed her hand over her outfit doing another one of her innate behaviors. The cloth felt soft to the touch and warm enough for the conditioned air inside the house. She looked down her gaze skating over her outfit curiously. Would her jeans and blouse seem too normal? She hadn't felt like doing too much that morning. Just put on a white blouse and some nice jeans and be done with it. She shrugged. Why did it matter in the first place? It wasn't like she was trying to impress anybody.
She heard someone come through the kitchen door and jumped startled out of her thoughts. "Oh." She muttered peering at the boy. She was about to speak a greeting but as he began to clean the blood with a perfectly clean cloth that need not be dirtied by his blood. She felt her annoyance flicker flames tendrils of flame in her mind. She rarely got angry but she could get annoyed. She turned her back on the sight imagining herself screaming and crying over a dirty cloth. Her lips twitched in the faintest smile then went back to their previous frown. Wandering over to take a seat on the couch she decided to ignore the cloth and clean it later. "Hey Tyler. It's nice to see you around as well."

Bobby had spent the day at work. Although 'work' is a very loose term to describe it; he's employed by a local, indie shop which sells second-hand CDs and scratched, old records and a customer is a very rare occurrence. He's only made one sale all day - a Paramore album. He'd managed to force a smile for the customer, but he'd inwardly shuddered, is there anything worse than punk-pop?
Well, the job may be quiet and dull but he enjoys it for exactly those reasons. He needs time away from the day-to-day craziness of the pack.
He kicks his shoes off at the front door and pulls his earphones out just in time to hear Emmy say something about deep sea diving. He shoots the girls a curious look but passes no comment.
The girls are interesting, to say the least. A patchwork quilt of personalities ranging from adventurous Emmy, to pensive Mina, to quirky Lux. Some days, he's almost certain that one of them must be his, y'know, mate...but then they'll do or say something to make him doubt it and he's back to square one. He tries not to dwell on it, but his patience isn't boundless: he's twenty years old - Cid already had a mate and a baby on the way by his age!

Cid's route from the workshop took him through the utility room and into the kitchen, where several of the 'pups' (not that any of them appreciated being called that...not even a little bit...) were milling around. He saw Tyler nursing some sort of rudimentary injury, which meant that he had no doubt been out and about. That was a good thing, the alpha thought to himself, as it meant he'd worked off plenty of energy and would be less likely to get fed up and snappy with the other boys during the evening.
"Another great day in the corps?" he said to everyone through a broad grin. And as was his custom he ruffled a suitable victim's hair with each hand - his targets this time just so happening to be Lux and Emmy. "Can't wait to see what's on the menu tonight girls, I know you'll conjour up something marvelous."
And then lastly on his severely piecemeal journey through the kitchen, he located his mate and softly rested a hand on either side of her, and discreetly kissing the back of her head. He didn't say anything; they had a long-established understanding that dinner time was the most hectic time of day for Cassidy, and that during those hours wordless communication was the most expedient kind.
Just as he made it out of the door into the hallway, he paused and turned back just briefly.
"Oh and by the way, has anyone seen Adrian today?"

Kiara had been sitting outside on the roof of the house. She didn't want to come into eat she didn't even want to come in to try and warm up a bit. She just sat out on the roof and looked up at the changing sky. It was all she ever liked to do. She would draw pictures of the sky changing and it made her feel as if she had a real purpose to herself other then being another female. Kiara sighed and rolled onto her stomach, looking down at the roof shingles and making out the little shimmers of the different colours.
"I hope I'm more important then just being another wolf. Or another mate. I hope I have a real purpose to someone." She huffed out and looked back at her jeans. Her butt looked pretty clean and so did her new skater shoes. They were purple and black and she absolutly loved them. She was so happy when she managed to buy them, it was one of her favorite days.
Kiara pushed up on her hands so she could look down at her lavender purple lace spagehtti strap top. It was a little reavealing but she didn't care, she usually just threw a sweater on anyways. Kiara waited a few more minutes, she would head down when she could smell food. Because, that would be when her stomach would lead her to the lovely food.
"If only my stomach didn't control me when it could smell it's time to feed" She huffed again and sat up and waited. She knew the smell would come soon.

((Odd how everyone seems to dislike Tyler already. lol))
"Hey Tyler. It's nice to see you around as well."
"Hey Mina. Nice to be around occasionally." He says with a grin. Then he notices the slightly red cloth sitting on the table next to him. "Oh right, should probably take care of that huh?" he says and gets up and rinses the rag out so it doesn't stain. He hangs the cloth on the side of the sink to let it dry and comes back to sit down.
"Another great day in the corps?" [Cid] said
"As usual." Tyler laughs back. He turns back to Mina. "So, been spending the whole day sipping tea again?" he asks with a joking tone. "Maybe you should come on a hike with me one of these days."
"Oh and by the way, has anyone seen Adrian today?"
"Can't say I have, pops" Tyler says. "What does he spend his days doing anyways?"

Mina turned seeing Cid come in and for some reason, if she had a tail, she was sure it would have been wagging like a happy puppy's. She glanced around to see if any of the others felt as happy as she did to see her Alpha. Was it normal for werewolves to completely adore their alpha? Well, it was better than fearing him. She yawned and shrugged silently. "Dinner should be great as always if your mate is cooking Cid." She shot him a proud smile before checking around to see if any new members had arrived.
Her gaze came to rest on Bobby. She hadn't noticed him which was usually normal. She wasn't a person of many words and he was just as silent or for a better word, stealthy. She guessed it came with being a wolf. The wolf made things brighter. More exciting. She could imagine the snow under her paws or the springy grass swaying to her pace. The call's of birds far above her crown and the answering howls to her own in the distance. She sighed and shook her head to dismiss the thought. She didn't want to get too excited just to be disappointed in the end. If you kept your expectations low then everything would be pleasant and kind. If the object you desired but didn't expect much from was even better than expected. Then you had a reason to be even happier. A sort of give and take. She pulled her mind back to the present. "Hello Bobby." She nodded with small greetings as she spoke then turned to observe the rest of the activity.
She straightened on the couch before glancing over to Tyler snapping out of her dazed moment. She licked her lips calming her down trying to act mature for her age. "Ah. Yes. I do enjoy when your around. I enjoy it when everyone is around after all." She nodded. It was nice when everyone came together. It made things fun although the volume could be a bit quieter. She watched him and felt a burst of proud delight as he realized he would have to clean up something. It saved her the trouble of doing it later. "Thanks. I appreciate that Tyler." She winked then turned her gaze away as something caught her attention. She was staring at whatever it was before she turned back to him as he spoke once more. "Fortunately. I do love my tea. You should try it, I'm sure you would love it!" She grinned happily before blushing. "Oh. I guess I can if you really want me too. I think i would enjoy it." She fidgeted. She never really spoke much but it seemed that he was drawing more and more words out of her. Strange.
She shook her head snapping into attention as her alpha spoke again. "I haven't seen him." She looked around wondering where the brat would be. I mean the son of the alpha. Not the brat. She chuckled under her breath noting the sarcasm drifting across her mind. It was normal for her to argue with that guy. She huffed and glanced back at Tyler curiously. Better to save her breath and have fun while she had the chance. When he would come around there would be chaos and trauma. Heavy trauma. She shook her head and sighed.

Cassidy smiled as nodded in greeting as the girls wandered into the kitchen. This was the hardest part of the day, but by now she had it down to a system. She smiled and listened to Lux's "deep sea diving" question. They were just to cute. "It's not that bad, dear. You do have to do quite a bit more housework, but it worth it. Turning into a wolf isn't bad either. It feels like... Kind of like something you should have done all along," she said, trying her best to give a good answer while cooking. The latter tended to take up most of her attention, but she always wanted to clear up any of the questions the girls had. "Now, would one of you like to give me a hand in here?"
Cassidy felt somewhat reponsible for the girls. As much as Cid was a good alpha, he really just wasn't the best at answering any of the girls questions or explaining something if they were confused. No, that was her territory. Not that she just answered the girls questions or helped them out. If any of the boys needed help, Cassidy would try just as hard to help them. It was in her nature. Speaking of the boys, they were starting to pile in after work, class, whatever they did during the day. "Hello boys, dinner will be ready in just a bit. Why don't you go wash up while we go finish it up?" If there was one thing in the world Cassidy could not stand, it was filthy people. Generally, Cassidy was very low key. She wasn't to uptight and let most little things slide, but she would not stand for a dirty pack at dinner.
Cassidy smiled up at Cid, appreciated his small gesture. It really was the little things that counted and little things like that always calmed her down. It really was quite the chore cooking for so many people, but Cid made her feel appreciated. She shook her head when he asked if anyone had seen Adrian. "Not since this morning. He's probably about somewhere. No doubt his stomach will lead him here eventually."
"Mina, Emmy can you two start setting the table?"

Bobby passes his brother - younger by two years - on his way in to the kitchen and shoves him lightly out of sheer habit. Cassidy is adding various spices to a mammoth pot of food, seemingly too busy to notice the new arrival. Tyler is wiping out a bloody cloth (best not to ask, he thinks) in the sink and Lux is combing her hair with her fingers; probably Cid had attacked her with his traditional greeting.
There's a basket of bread on the counter, it's meant to be put out on the dining table but Bobby grabs a piece while Cassidy is preoccupied with a spitting saucepan. From the next room, he can hear the metallic clatter of cutlery being set out which means that dinner is almost ready.
He glances back at Lux and stifles a snort of laughter. His hand dives into her hair and pulls out a thin piece of plywood, probably from where Cid, who spent all of his free time in his workshop, had mussed it up. "Splinter." he explains, showing it to her before tossing it on to the counter.
He runs a hand through his own, already wildly messy, hair and adjusts the waistband of his jeans self consciously - Cassidy abhors untidiness but going upstairs to wash and change will mean he's sure to miss the beginning of the meal and be left with only the sprouts and burned veg which nobody else will eat; the pack eats like a plague of locusts.
"Where are the others?" He asks Lux, thinking that the house is curiously empty for this time of the evening.

"Oh. I guess I can if you really want me too. I think i would enjoy it." [Mina] fidgeted.
"Course you would. Now, if you'll excuse me I think madam wolf-woman wants me cleaned up a bit." Tyler says to Mina as he gets up and heads to the downstairs bathroom to get whatever dirt and grime off of himself that he had accumulated throughout the day. On the way he saw Jeff caught coming down the stairs. "Hey, get cleaned up. Dinners on its way. You know Momma bear don't like dirty cubs," he says as he walks into the bathroom himself.
After washing his face and hands and double checking that his knee wasn't still bleeding, he went back out into the main area where everyone was gathering for the meal and smiled. I'm glad I found these people, and I'm glad they let me stay. We're dysfunctional sometimes, but still work well together. He then looks around and notices someone is absent. "Hey, anybody know where Kiara has gotten to? Haven't seen her all day."

Jeff didn't see Bobby approach from the side. When his brother shoved him, Jeff span comedically on one foot, greatly exhaggerating the impact, and continued stumbling into the lounge. All part of the great theatre of fraternal banter.
Flopping down onto a couch he pulled open the book to the designated chapter. Sinking a little lower into the chair, his eyes began to glaze over after only the second paragraph. These reading assignments sucked...they made him feel like someone who didn't like to read, whereas in truth he loved to read. He just preferred non-fiction - books where you learned something - and the assignments were always works of classical prose or novels.
He blew out a puff of air and slapped the book shut again, tossing it onto the coffee table. There was no way he was going to get any constructive reading done before dinner. Maybe he'd be able to concentrate better later on a full stomach. In any case he'd have to remember to pick the book up before lights out or Cassidy would have his hide for leaving stuff lying around in the 'public' areas. Springing to his feet once again, he sloped out into the hall. He was just in time to see Mina and Emmy emerging from the kitchen.
"Hope you're feeling better Emmy." he said, quietly enough so that the alphas in the kitchen wouldn't hear, "I mean that flu bug - the one I told Mr Cirencester was the reason you weren't in class today - sounded pretty chronic. At least, it did the way I described it."
He shot her a knowing wink and added, "I think he bought it, but I couldn't get you off the hook for homework I'm afraid. It's in my bag, I'll get it for you later. And yes I said get it, not do it."
Then when Tyler came out, he fired him an overemphasised 'salute' gesture in acknowledgement of the instruction to go get cleaned up.

"Ach!" Emmy's hands shot to her head as she hunched her shoulders when a larger than life hand landed squarely upon her head and ruffled- just a hand and it weighed her down.
Steering to the left of her Alpha she shot him an unappreciative glower before flattening down her hair and scruffing it up again in her own way.
Emmy lowered her head to obscure the smirk on her lips in response to Tyler's suggestion that Mina should go on a hike with him sometime. A hike with just the two of them hmmmm? she mused to herself like a kid.
She muttered and moaned to Cassidy as she asked for the cultery to be put out and snooped over to that side of the kitchen weaving through the congregation of others beginning to crowd, standing at the cultery drawer she nudged Cid into Cassidy with one side of her body a mischievous grin in place as she raked up the silver wear and listened to the small time conversations going back and forth.
Blowing a rasberry in Bobby's ear Emmy slapped at his hand when he snuck a piece of bread out like Tyler but the stealthy little buggar got away with it. "Bobby!" she groaned.
Making her way over to the table with her hands full her eyes slid to the side curiously at Jeff's murmur a boisterous grin spreading across her face as she gave a brief snicker at how Jeff covered for her. That boy was a life savior!
"And im going to make a miraculous recovery by tomorrow"
When he mentioned homework her face fell. "Wuh? Ive only just done a piece of homework!" she exclaimed eyes going wide in honest disbelief that there could possibly be more than one piece of homework set a month.
Though when he said about getting it not doing it she sent a wink right back at him and re-gained her grin. "Come now Jeffery- when you agreed to take my homework for me we both know you were agreeing to do it!" she said calling out the last bit as he moved away.
She began to set the places out wondering who she'd end up being sat next to today- sometimes they chose- sometimes the Alpha chose...She glanced over her shoulder at the bear of a man and narrowed her eyes- that wolf had it in for her- she could tell... Damn old man!

Adrian looked up at the house, frowning slightly. He had been out since classes had ended, patrolling. Near the edge, he had caught a smell that had set his teeth on edge and, instead of finishing his patrol and reporting back like he should have, he had followed the smell. It had led him to a dead end in a small cave and he hadn’t been able to find anything substantial to bring back with him. He couldn’t be sure as a human, but it had smelt like wolf.
The sun had set and he could hear the sound of dinner being prepared. The smell told him that it wasn’t quite ready yet, but it would be soon enough. He ran his fingers through his hair again to dislodge imagined twigs and leaves, then leaned down to brush off his clothes. His gaze moved up to the roof and his frown grew deeper. He sniffed the air again, frustrated – he hated his human nose.
Blond hair, avoiding the kitchen, had to be Kiara. He took a deep breath and boomed “Kiara! Why aren’t you inside, making me dinner?!”
He grinned, and without waiting for an answer, finished his walk back to the house. The kitchen was crowded, as usual. His frown quickly melted into a smile. How could he ever be worried surrounded by the people he loved? He shrugged off his jacket and hung it on the back of a chair. He approached the counter next to his mother and offered his parents a grin as he grabbed a pepper mill. “Sorry I’m late, it smells great. How can I help?”

Lux wrinkles her nose in distaste as Emmy blows a loud, wet rasperry in Bobby's ear. He leans on the counter beside her, chewing on a piece of bread. Looking at her for a moment, he exhales a barely concealed snort of laughter and gestures for her to come closer, rumaging about in her hair for a moment before he surfaces with a skinny off-cut of wood from Cid's work clothes.
Lux gapes at the sizable chunk Bobby had pulled out and leans forward so far that her head is upside down and level with her knees. She shakes her hair out, dislodging several more splinters of the stuff. She readjusts her hair before she answer's the boy's question, "I haven't seen Aidrian or Kira all day...you think they're together?" she asks, only half-joking - it's a possibility, after all.
As if following her lead, Bobby combs his fingers through his own, persistently untamed, hair, though it's to no effect.

Bobby hears Emmy shout after Jeff and rolls his eyes; first the slobbery abuse of his ear, and now the abuse of his little brother - someone must have forgotten to circle today as 'Kick the Dean's' Day on the calender.
"Maybe." Bobby shrugs non-comitally at Lux's suggestion of something between Adrian and the elusive Kiara; the other's affairs are none of his busines, really - their bonds will come to light when the time's right. "Oh, speak of the devil..." he says as Adrian comes into view. To Bobby's sensitive nose, he still stinks of wolf and has obviously been on patrol, but Lux doesn't seem to notice the smell.
"Hey, Ade." Bobby greets, with a lazy wave, "Seen Kiara?"

Mina listened to the others ramble as she helped Emmy set the table. She added here own comments every now and then. Monosyllabic words were always a good way to keep conversation to a minimum. She had been speaking to Tyler but he had gone to clean up with orders from the alpha female. She glanced to Cassidy and felt a smile begin at the corner of her lips. Cassidy was like the mother of the pack. She cared for the girls and the boys. Oh, and dinner.
She chuckled under her breath then blinked at a rather disturbing sound came out of Lux's lips. A really wet raspberry. She for a moment the shook her head with a laugh. Lux seemed to be having a rather good day contradictory to her cleaning up the bathroom. She grinned happy that her friends were enjoying themselves. She went back over to the couch right as Adrian made his arrival known.
She glanced to Bobby and Lux wondering if they were right. If Kiara was with Adrian why didn't they come through together? She huffed and turned away from the sight to look out the window silently. The sun had lowered prominently since the last time she checked. It was strange how things worked without the help of humans or technology. "Hmm."

Cid shook his head as everyone reported not having seen Adrian. He knew that his son has a patrol detail assigned that evening; something that wasn't strictly required of any wolf under the age of 21 but which Adrian insisted on having a part in. Even so, he should have been back by now. The pack Beta was always assigned the same patrol, just in case anything did come up...and if anything had they would have heard something about it by now.
He focused his senses and tried to get a feel for who and what was in the area...but it proved to be extremely difficult with the fantastic smells that were starting to emanate from the pots cooking. His mouth watered, and he laughed to himself, making another pass of the kitchen to try to get a peek at what was being made.
Just then Adrian appeared, seeming casual and even a little chipper. Cid raised both eyebrows as he sauntered right in and started offering to help with the dinner!
"Well," Cid said, "I'm glad to see you have the energy to help after singlehanded fighting off an entire pack of rogues, which by the way is pretty much the only reason I'll accept for you being this late back without notice. But I'll give you until after dinner to work on a decent excuse. In the meantime, can you start assembling everyone to eat?"

"Yeah right." Jeff called back, smirking and rolling his eyes at Emmy's parting remark. The funniest thing was she was probably being serious. But it was his own fault; he'd got her out of a bind once and done a short assignment for her...but that had been a sheet of multiple-choice questions. This new piece of homework was a written assignment, and he very much doubted he could emulate a girl's handwriting. Not that he was even entertaining the thought of doing the dang thing for her. He hadn't even managed to read through the assigned part of the book himself yet.
He popped into the bathroom and quickly washed up, observing - as did most of the young wolves - what they had well come to know was Cassidy's bare minimum standard for dinner time. Then, returning to the hall, he saw Adrian getting a minor earful from Cid (and it was a minor earful in the grand scheme of things...Jeff wouldn't trade places with the alpha's son for all the tea in China).
There was a certain amount of suggestive tittering in the kitchen, as people theorised who had been with who and why, even though Adrian's arrival alone had put paid to the latest scurrulous speculation. Stuff like that always gave Jeff a funny feeling in his stomach; something a bit like jealousy but not quite. Why did people bother with those sort of remarks when the reality of how things worked was so beyond anyone's control? His stomach had flipped every time someone suggested a potential pairing for the last two years, when he and quite a few of the others had reached 'that age'.
He squirmed his shoulders to shrug off the whole thought of it, and sat down at the table.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Good bye Shm :( I miss you already! I think its pretty much safe to call this gone. Even though people are still interested, there hasn't been enough posting. I really enjoyed writing with you all, especially our discussions OOC. I would RP with any of you again, so if you need a space filled in somoething, hit me up.
Re: [OOC] Marked
Alrighty. I want you all to know that the past few days I've been looking at this RP from every angle wondering how it could be kept alive. Really, it all centres around the pairings (and let's not pretend we haven't all figured out what the pairings are yet), and since we have Silver & Fly, that's one, I could auto Tyler and we still have Akantha to play Mina, so that's another. Bobby and Lux can be somehow be written out or just allowed to exist in the background.
Of course it all lives or dies on whether Meesha's coming back, and frankly I don't think she is. Without putting words in her mouth, I know she's had a whole heap of real life lately, and my understanding is that she's restricting her RP activity to the one RP of hers which is still actively being posted in (mainly because the other players impressed her by keeping it alive in her absence). So unless we can really get the ball rolling here without her (which might encourage her to come back), I think we can probably switch off the life support.
Which is incredibly sad because the only real reason I've stuck with RPG is that I hoped this one would get going again. In absence of that, my dwindling involvement here (I've been actively RPing on another website for about a month now) will almost certainly now come to an end entirely. I suppose you could say I'm going down with the ship. :) Been a pleasure writing this one with you all, it's been a real labour of love, and it's very likely I may try to write the rest of the story myself as a good old fashioned "one-player-RP". ;D If anybody wants to collab on that, let me know. I don't think my life will be complete until I know how things ended up between Jeff and Emmy, and what happened with the Rogues.....even if I have to make it up myself. :P
If the RP does resurrect, PLEASE somebody shoot me a PM (which I'll be notified about by email). Otherwise, all the best! ^^

MEHHHH. I want to rp Mina but...I can't get Tyler off his ass. He's still gone >.> So I can't post no mores T-T
Re: [OOC] Marked

And they're gone again. If the boredom gets any worse I think I'll just carry on this RP to the end with me playing all the characters! ^^
Re: [OOC] Marked
OKAY! About time we shift on over to the night where we're all getting ready for the party- Designate your partners for this (people your gonna grab clothes from) -opportunity for sneaky, unusal chats to eachother-
I was thinking we could, safety pin some of the dresses up at the back? COME ON drag queens who are over six foot in heels with bulging muscles and bellies can fit into dresses so im sure we can squeeze our boys into some for the party! EVEN CID

Re: [OOC] Marked
I was thinking that they could not zip up dresses and just cover it with a cardigan or something? That's what I do when I'm having a 'fat day', anyway :p
Re: [OOC] Marked
I tried to post...but I'm runnng a little low on content. Also was thinking about where the guys could get clothes that would actually fit and came up with
-borrow them off a chubby relative
-raid some charity bins
-spandex (its stretchy right?)
-Tai was once a spokesperson for Jenny Craig or weight watchers
Most of them aren't very helpful :P Maybe the dudes just dont do up the zippers on dresses and things and miraculously still fit in them?

Re: [OOC] Marked
To be fair I did rather make it sound like a blagged a special favour. They were letting anyone in. In fact when I walked into the tank, some twelve year old boy was being told off by an army guy because he'd just switched the targeting system off, hahaha. (They were letting people program the missile launcher to fire at the church. It wasn't loaded of course...)
Good times. I wonder if anyone's gonna post soon........

'They let me get in their tank'?! That's the best thing you've ever said, Shm.
Once, at an airport in the US, a security guard let me ride him scooter thing.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Wahhh? I picture of Shm? oh la la.
On the other hand, I don't know how they're going to find dresses to fit the boys, especially Cid. And even if they find one to fit, how're they gonna get it on him? I know Adrian's gonna put up a fight. And he'll probably spend the whole night pouting.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Hahahaaaaa Adrian's reaction to the drag idea was always gonna be the best. Poor guy is gonna be traumatised by seeing his dad in a dress too........
Oh and I wasn't suggesting that was ACTUALLY you on the Next magazine! xD And differences duly noted.
But because I am so blindingly bored, I should probably share with you the time 'Raider' magazine used me as a cover model.
*looks around*
None of you believed me did you.
Alright alright....it was taken at a church fete in Emsworth. The Thorney Island troops were raising money for "Help for Heroes" and they let me get in their tank so my mate could take a picture.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Haha shm. Of course that isn't me. Why would I be in a magazine for anywhere in Europe? Plus, shes to angular. I'm a wee bit more plump. And my breasts are bigger. Just sayin.
Re: [OOC] Marked
I vote we cut to people getting ready for the party. And considering what's involved, I think that needn't involve too much of a time lapse. Folk have got to get their threads picked out!
On a slightly freaky note, at work today there was a copy of the 2011 Summer Next Directory lying around, and I had to double take at the model on the front because - and tell me it's not just me seeing this - but it looks just like Silver! (This was always gonna happen when you posted a pic of yourself Silver...)

Re: [OOC] Marked
Right, after reading through, if people would like to tie up the conversation about having the party so that we can er...HAVE THE PARTY! I would very much so like to skip to the party so if everyone would like to wrap things up and listen to a few beaty songs to get themselves into the boogy mood :D
We can start at everyone getting ready for it, so the fun and gory details of making themselves up or we can start where they're in the middle of the party. Its really up to the rest of you which one. Majority vote!

Re: [OOC] Marked
OK all of you guys needs to head down to your local telecoms retailer, buy yourselves a pay-as-you-go 3G dongle on a network you know works in your area (probably about $8 + $15 for 10Gb of pre-loaded bandwidth credit), and voila, wireless internet access wherever you'd get a cell-phone signal.
I've been using one for months to log on from my local Costa Coffee every Sunday morning, I've used it to log on in London....and it also means that when my home internet goes down I can still log on via 3G. (Because I use mine regularly mine's a contract instead of pay as you go)
Simples!
Meesha's around, I expect she'll be along tonight some time. I know she's working a lot this weekend, but she's also keen to keep this one going strong.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Lol nah. But sometimes I wish I could have been a guy (Long story) but I have been making preparations for making more male characters. Although your cosplay looks amazing. I could never ever do that trust me. It would have blood all over it.... >.>
I'll take control of my character but i'm just wondering.. Where have all the other people run off too? Where is our precious Meesha? I kinda miss seeing all the activity in the OOC but yeah. I'm pretty busy too but I get to go get a massage at the spa tomorrow because my mother called and said it was a present. (YAY) Idk why but I said yes.
As another head's up I'll be going to Portland, Oregon for ten days starting Friday of next week so my posting may get slower if I have to struggle for an internet connection. Nobody in my family understands the joy of the internet. -_-

Re: [OOC] Marked
Yes, that is really me. The gun is just a painted nerf gun and I didn't even do most of it. A friend did it for me while I sewed. The dress is also purple, I don't know why it looks blue.
I got so excited when you said you were a guy Akantha >> Not enough males play female characters.
On a side note, the place I'm at shuts down their internet at about 9pm, which makes it hard for me to post. Just a heads up.

Re: [OOC] Marked
Hah don't worry it's ALWAYS easier to RP a character in conversation when you're controlling a bunch of characters. :P It would quickly get boring though coz pretty soon they would all lose their individuality and becomes little clones of ME, with my sense of humour, my little idioms, etc. So by all means get back on in there. I've got 10 RPs running on another website now (didn't mean for it to become so many...) so Lord knows I'd rather not have to take charge of all the characters on here! '^^
