Jack Blaze The bell rang. Another day of school was over. Jack called out the roller blades on the bottom of his shoes and began skating off down the road through Dentown. Not paying attention, he ran into a familiar face. "Hey, are you ok?"

Liya Bellanotte sees Jack from her bike and stares at him for a moment, but she ends up hitting a curb. Liya goes flying into a bush and groans in pain and embarassment.

Jack Blaze Seeing Liya running into the bush, he skated over to her and helped her out of the bush. "Are you ok? Just because I'm a celebrity, doesn't mean you have to hide" he told her jokingly as he helped her to her feet

Liya Bellanotte quickly puls the twigs out of her hair and tries to clean herself off. "I-I'm fine! Don't worry about me!" she sees her PET ont he ground, broken into a million peices, and almost cries. "Lu...Lucari???"

Liya Bellanotte nods nervously, but doesnt tell Jack that she can't afford one. She had saved up for months to get a used PET. Lucari was a gift from her mother before she went to live across the country. "Y-Yeah...ok..."

Liya Bellanotte bites her lip and tries not to look at any of the nice PETs. "Um...Jake...this isnt the right store..." she tried to not let him know she didnt have much money. It might be embarassing if anyone found out he hung out with a poor girl.

Liya Bellanotte blushes and frowns, but she nods and tries to fake a smile. "O...Ok...." she looked around at the cheaper ones and saw a smooth light blue one that looked like it was made not only to be in Liya's pocket, but made for Lucari to be in. "Its so pretty..."

Jack Blaze "Are you sure you want this one?" he double-checked with her, just to make sure it was the one she absolutely wanted and he noticed her blushing. "Uhm....your cheeks have a bit of red on them" he said smiling

Liya Bellanotte nods, still blushing. She takes her hand away from his and covers her face. "Yeah...I like that one..." she took out her wallet so she could pay for it using as much as she could.

Jack Blaze Jack pulled out his black, ruby-encrusted wallet to pay for it, signalling for Liya to put her wallet away "Don't worry about paying for it. I got it"

Liya Bellanotte freezes. She looks at him. But...he had a girlfriend...before she could get the PET, Liya runs out of the store, jumps on her bike, and rides away as fast as she could to her home.

Jack Blaze Jack ran out the door to chase after her, but it was too late. He collapsed against the store wall. He soon noticed Liya's PET still on the ground. He got up and picked it up, taking it back home, leaving a note by where it was so that Liya knows that his girlfriend left him

Lucari pops up on the screen, ince it has the same address as the old PET. "Liya? You there?"

Jack Blaze He looks into the PET at Lucari. "Sorry, but Liya isn't here.....she broke her PET and I'm fixing it for her, but she doesn't know it" he told the net navi with a sad look on his face

Lucari looks confused. "Whats wrong? You ok?" she got off of Liya's PET and joined Nitro on Jack's screen.
