Appearance: Elina is tall, lithe, and curvy, with pale skin and dark, wavy mahogany hair. Her large blue-green eyes are framed with long brown eyelashes that are usually hidden beneath mascara. Elina always wears tons of bangles, bells, and woven bracelets on both of her arms, making her jingle where ever she goes. However, she only wears one necklace; an opal charm that was passed down to her.

Languages spoken: French is her first language, but she is fluent in English with only a faint accent.

Likes: Elina loves smoothies, the night, novels that are decent, her cat Jiji, libraries that smell like old books, thunderstorms, and every type of dancing. She loves anyone who makes her laugh, as she finds laughter the best thing on earth.

Dislikes: She dislikes people who don't try at anything, or are over-confident. She also doesn't like annoying noises, paper cuts, and difficult spells.

Fears: What Elina fears most is not being accepted by anyone, especially people she has come to admire or like. She would never voice this fear to anyone, however. Some of her smaller fears are the shadows and noises of the night, spiders, bees, and confronting people.

Powers: Elina is your traditional witch, able to use spells and cast circles, but she is also able to control the four elements; fire, water, earth, and air. Her control over the elements is upredictable, though, and her full powers are still unknown. There is some spectulation that her opal necklace is the only thing that keeps her from self-destructing and going insane.

Personality: At first Elina seems reserved, but once she is comfortable with her surroundings she is outgoing and vibrant. She is intelligent and hardworking despite her light surface, and takes school very seriously. Elina is passionate about everything she puts her mind to, and loves to paint and dance. However, Elina doesn't always speak up when she should, and is easily jealous.

Equipment: Elina's only equipment is her family's Book of Shadows, some herbs, and her opal necklace.

History: Elina comes from a long line of famous elemental witches, all of which died from their uncontrollable powers. It is whispered that the Van Jardin powers originated from a curse put on the whole line of witches, but those are rumors that Elina chooses to ignore. She is actually proud of her mother and ancestors, and of her heritage. None committed suicide, instead they decided to live with the insanity that came with their powerful gifts. Other than the enigma that is called her family, Elina's life has been oddly normal. She has been going to the Mountain High Academy Boarding School since Pre-K, and plans to find a way to not end up like her ancestors and become a powerful witch.
