Introduction
“What’s your favorite animal, little girl?”
She was startled by the friendliness in the man’s voice, and it took her a minute to respond. “I… I like puppies,” she finally said.
“Puppies, eh?” the man muttered. “We can arrange that. Maria! Get some dog DNA loaded up!”
The little girl gasped as the machine began to whir to life. The liquid bubbled and flowed through the tubes until part of it was inside the needle. “Don’t worry,” a woman said from nearby, “this will only hurt for a second.”
The needle came toward her. The girl screamed in fear, trying to wiggle free, but she was strapped firmly to the table. She continued to cry and protest until her throat was sore and raw. The needle dug itself into a vein on her arm…
Imagine being taken against your will to a secret underground laboratory. Imagine being strapped to a terrifying machine and having a needle forcibly injected into your bloodstream. Imagine waking up with animal DNA inside of you.
You have only one job as a Morph: to survive. Whether you choose to try to escape from the lab, stay and let them experiment on you, or even join the scientists who transformed you is up to you. Just be careful. Humans might not take too kindly to your transformed self, and with the early testing of the DNA being performed on you, it’s easy to think that something might go wrong…
Of course, you can also play as a scientist involved in these experiments. Why have you chosen this path? Was it curiosity that drove you into these underground experiments, or do you plan to create the ultimate creature with this mixed DNA? Maybe you're just cruel and enjoy watching others suffer... or maybe you were dragged into it against your will and mean no ill will against the subjects. It's up to you!
This roleplay is in its early stages of development and is my first roleplay on this website. If you have any suggestions on how this can be improved, please let me know!
Character Creation
When submitting your character for approval, please include the following information in the appropriate fields. Everything else is optional.
Name: Your character's name, of course!
Synopsis: A brief summary of your character's personality, history, and/or other important traits.
Description: Please include a brief summary of how your character looks. Include whatever multiple forms he/she may have. Pictures are optional. This is also the place for Morphs to list the DNA that they've been injected with.
Personality: A detailed description of your character's personality, outlook on life, etc. This is a good place to put his/her reaction to being experimented on, if applicable.
Equipment: Not required, but you can add it if you want.
History: Anything significant (or not) about your character's past.
Rules
Follow the standard roleplaying rules. This includes no godmodding, no power-playing, and no general n00bishness.
You can have as many characters as you want. However, you must be active on all of them, and they must all be approved individually. If you cannot keep up with a character, he/she will be put in the Orphanage.
No extreme powers for your characters. Please refer to the Side Effects section for specific restrictions. If you’re not sure if your power is “extreme” or not, just ask me.
Don’t have your Morph injected with too many kinds of DNA. My general limit is two or three, but exceptional RPers can have more if done correctly.
Please keep everything at a PG-13 level or lower. I don’t mind if you swear, but don’t go overboard.
Please at least attempt to be literate. Everybody makes mistakes, but everybody also knows how to use spell-check software.
Morph Side Effects:
This section is dedicated to listing known side effects that occur when a human is injected with animal DNA. This list can be very useful when trying to build your character. These are listed by rarity, from the most common to the rarest of all side effects. Of course, you’re free to add your own side effects if they’re reasonable, and this list will be updated as needed.
Effect: Death
Rarity: Varies
Description: The Morph’s body completely rejects the animal’s DNA and tries to expel it until death. This can happen instantaneously or gradually and depends on the body type of the test subject as well as the DNA used in testing.
Effect: Change in appearance
Rarity: Extremely common
Description: The most common side effect. The human’s body morphs and begins to take the shape of the animal that they have been fused with. However, it is very rare for a full transformation to occur.
Effect: Adaptation
Rarity: Common
Description: The Morph begins to adapt to the animal’s style of life. This can include change in diet, a desire for a new habitat, and even beginning to take on the behavior of the animal.
Effect: Communication
Rarity: Somewhat common
Description: The Morph has the ability to communicate with the animal that it has been fused with.
Effect: Transformation
Rarity: Rare
Description: The Morph has the ability to transform between human and animal form. This can range from a full transformation into the animal to morphing into what the average Morph looks like and even “Morph form” into the full animal. This becomes even rarer if a Morph has been injected with two or more kinds of DNA.
Effect: Full change in appearance
Rarity: Very rare
Description: The Morph’s human appearance is completely lost, and it takes on the appearance of the animal it has been injected with. The chances of this happening to a Morph with more than one kind of DNA in them are rarer than rare.

Re: [OOC] My Tail of Woe
It'd be great if any of you who might be lurking could make some scientists.
