He looked at his arms seeing the few turquoise scales on his arm; he couldn’t get those away in this form… not yet anyway. He sighed as he rubbed his hand with his pale hand and looked at his light blue nails and sighed, “…could always say I let a little girl practice painting my nails everyday…” he muttered, “Plus with me singing it could be part of my motif…” he commented. He then quickly put those away in a box he had brought and put in his socks and shoes. He kept his pants on but took off his belt. With that done he dove into the ocean.
He closed his eyes as he felt the change take over his legs came together as he felt the scales appear over them and his pants soon forming a light blue tail. Fins jutted out of his elbow as the space between his fingers became webbed, gills appeared on the side of his neck as his hair grew longer, he never really understood why his human form had shorter hair than his true form, but he didn’t question it too much. He smiled as the change was complete and soon swam to the bottom of the shallow side of the ocean. Still too deep for humans to go without scuba gear, he swam with the fishes as he swam deeper and deeper soon reaching a sunken ship. He grinned as he swam to it and started to look inside it as he found the captains chamber and looked inside one of the chests. His eyes shimmered as he saw one of his weaknesses in there… Shinies… A few precious gems, an old bottle with a ship inside, A pearl string necklace, a few shiny stones. He looked around for something to put it in as he found a waterproof bag. He grinned and slung it over his shoulder as he filled it with what he wanted and left knocking the head off of a skeleton as he did so. He didn’t really care about that as he swam backup, only picking up a shell on his way as he did so, an odd tradition for him whenever he found a good haul.
His head popped out of the ocean as he crawled onto a jutting rock and gasped for breath as he saw the shore in the distances and started to swim skimming under the water as he did so. He waved to a dolphin as he swam by a smile on his face. He was the happiest when he was in the ocean… or swimming… He wish he could do so at the school pool… but he claimed to be allergic to chlorine so he couldn’t there, too risky for him to do so there he could change plus his scales. He flipped on his back as he lazily swam a peaceful expression on his face; he slowly changed back into his human form as he drew nearer to the shoreline. He may decide to swim away from the shore if the mood struck him to do so again, he sometimes found those urges too hard to resist.

Pulling out a black shirt and a pair of jeans, he put them on the bed, still neatly folded (he was a self-confessed neat freak), he went for a quick shower in the adjoining bathroom, loving the feeling of the hot water on his skin. Vampire skin was so cold, at least until he had fed, then it was only three or four degrees colder than a human's. After his shower, he dressed, almost forgetting that he didn't have a class now, so he didn't put as much effort in today. That annoyed him, he had loved his old job...
Shaking off the depressive thoughts, he left his apartment and headed out. Hunters or no, he was going to have to feed sometime...

What she saw didn't make her happy. First there was the fluff pieces, pieces about celebrities and their babies and yada yada ya. When did news become this? Who cared?! It didn't get to the real news for awhile. And then there was a story that made her mad.
The woman in the bright red office suit and hair that never seemed to move had just finished up the fluff bits before she opened her painted lips and started to speak. “There was a shooting at Willow Hill park today. It was reported the police took down a violent being who had been killing and eating children. The being was wearing the form of a little girl, thank god for our heroic pol-” Merdardus almost broke the remote as she turned off the tv. There was a few moments of silence before she slammed her fist against the desk. What. The. HELL! The damn police force stole the credit for her kill! Normally she wouldn't give a flying monkeys ass. But it could mean that people will feel safer with the police, and if they feel more comfortable with the police and think that the police could take care of beings they may not come to her. And if they didn't come to her she would lose money! God DAMNIT!
She was furious, she needed some air. Merdardus put her boots on, slung her gun back into her belt, slipped a buck knife in her pocket, and threw on a long ankle length black leather trench coat. She grabbed a sour green apple lollipop from her candy bowl before heading outside, unwrapping the treat before sucking on it. It made her feel better, but not by much.
Merdardus Latimer didn't have much of a destination, but she knew she had to write a report for her kill. HER kill, not the god damn polices. She hoped that her organization would believe her and not think she was making it up to score points with them, to up her kill rate. That would be considered a failure, and she hated failing.
She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, and for the most part, the people moved out of her way, they recognized her. She may end up bumping into someone if she she keeps on barreling through though.
"Vampires pretending to be humans, pretending to be vampires...", he muttered under his breath, then let out a soft chuckle. That quote always made him laugh, and it was from one of the more accurate works of vampire fiction. 'Interview with the Vampire', by Anne Rice. He had bought it as soon as it came out, and had it practically memorised, though he hadn't liked the other books from the series as much. The films were okay though, and he liked the soundtrack from 'Queen of the Damned'. It suited the mood of the film, and he felt like a lot of the songs were written especially for him. Then again, he supposed most vampires had felt that way. Not that there were many left now.
Those kinds of thoughts made him sad, he missed those that were now gone. Tomas...Abigail...Rachel...
Rachel...that name hasn't come up in a while...Damn I miss her..., he thought, unconsciously rubbing at the burn scar on the inside of his wrist. A permanent reminder of that day. Of how much of a coward he was. How weak he was. And it had cost him the woman he had loved more than his own existence.
That's the past. Rachel is gone. It may have been my fault, but it can't be changed now., he scolded himself as he rounded the corner. Maybe he didn't need to go to the club...there was already a nice looking male here. The green hair was a bit odd, but that didn't really matter to Kai. It just made things more interesting after all...
(ooc: Could a not busy being find their way to the house my character is in? He needs a way in to the resistance)
"It's quite alright. I wasn't paying much attention myself. I tend to do that a lot.", he said, mainly to cover the fact he was feeling ill. He almost smiled at the boy, then remembered about his fangs. He didn't want to reveal himself yet. That part would come later. He paused a little as he took in the boy's scent...it was...different. Human enough, he supposed, but...something more than human, in a way. It was nice though, albeit in a strange way.
Hang on...is he? Yes, he must be. His movements are too fluid...like air...And his scent..., he mused as he stepped back a little, a slight frown crossing his features.
"Hold on a sec...you can't be...are you?", he asked uncertainly, more to himself than to the boy. he ran through the different types of beings in his head, trying to put a name to the scent. All he could come up with was a Sylph, an air elemental. That was close enough he supposed, though not exact. For one thing, Sylphs were generally female. And they tended not to live in cities. Too polluted for them, and too dangerous. So what was this boy?
Shinobu took a moment to let the atmosphere sink itself in, he also noted the guards stationed strategically around the mansion at key points- to keep intruders out and guests in he surmised.
"Right this way Mr. Ishikawa" said the kingpins daughter.
Up the stairs and to the right of the hall were several guards who opened a door. Shinobu promptly and with a sarcastic grin went into the room.
He quickly changed into his poker face.
A man turns around in the exquisite leather chair leaning against the tinted windows and gave Shinobu a curt nod. His Italian suit and silken tie screamed of wealth, the diamond cuff links and blue diamond ring only added to that image. He began speaking in a refined baritone
"Allow me to cut to the chase Mr. Ishikawa" He retrieved a photo from his desk and slid it across the table for Shinobu to see.
"This is Mikuo, he is a high school student who lives in a rundown shack by the harbor- a typical naive teenager. Except for one thing. He is a merman, part of the resistance and he is very valuable." Mr. Elio Rombardi- as the plaque behind his desk showed, motioned to his daughter as she gathered some documents and placed them in front of shinobu. The documents elaborately detailed his attitudes, social and school life as well as his habits and places he frequently went. Clearly the utmost care had been taken to get information of the kid.
"Your payment has already been forwarded to your account, I trust that you will not break your word? I have received good words about you from a colleague of mine , I hope you will not disappoint."
"Of course Mr. Rombardi, but I am going need some things, did you get my message?"
Shinbou went through the box of things prepared in advance.
"I am going to need one more thing Mr.Rombardi"
"oh? and what might that be?"
"I am going to need your daughter for this mission" Shinobu announced abruptly, deliberately without tact. He was gauging what type of person this man was.
"May I ask why?" asked Rombardi
"cool and collected thought shinobu, I can work with this.
"Simple. Hes a 16 year old guy, none of them can resist a little TNA" said shinobu with a smile.
"ah... I see.." Mr.Rombardi kept his poker face, but shinobu practically see the cogs turning in his mind as he considered the offer.
"Very well, it should be educational for her to see an expert in action. Jenka, please accompany Mr.Ishikawa here to the location"
"Yes father" Jenka responded immediately, almost with a militaristic tone and eagerness.
Shinbou stood up and put out his hand. "Well then, it seems that we have a deal"

"Well, you're certainly not human, that's for sure...your movements are too fluid, and I noticed your eyes when you crashed into me. Human eyes don't change color, kid. I would think you would know that already.", he stated, perhaps sounding a bit harsher than he had intended, but he was anxious to get away and get some 'food', since the longer he waited, the worse he would be.
"And do not worry about me, this sort of thing is normal.", he continued, refering to the boy's worry after his condition.
