Personality: Due to the prejudice and loneliness he suffered in his childhood, Naruto developed a craving for acknowledgment. In order to achieve this, Naruto would pull pranks all around the village and even go as far as strive for the title of Hokage. Even after graduating from the academy, Naruto was still determined to be recognized, though as Naruto made more and more connections with others, his reasons for wanting to become Hokage underwent a change, having less to do with the desire for recognition, and more to do with wanting the strength to protect his home and the people close to him. Because of Naruto's desire to become Hokage, he greatly admires those who have held it. He loves his younger sister dearly and is very protective of her, especially because she is blind. Naruto is brave and loyal and knows the pain of being alone. Unknowingly, his personality gives him a special sort of power, the power to inspire people and change their worldview, giving them hope for the future.

History/Background: Naruto Uzumaki is one of the two jinchuriki of the Kyubi no Kitsune or Nine-Tailed Fox, and thus has lived a lonely life with only his sister loving him through his early years. He never understood why people glared at him, why people hated him or ignored him. He craved acknowledgment and friends as a child, even resorting to pulling pranks just to have some form of attention. He thought Sakura as beautiful and complimented her and tried to get her to go out with him, but was always met with scorn or blows to the head, no matter how nice he tried to be. Naoto was the one that convinced him to give up on her. He was grateful that he had his sister to care for and was got rather angry whenever she was bullied, but was grateful for Iruka-sensei. Though his parents were killed by the Kyubi, Iruka knew that the Uzumaki twins were not the demon the village believed them to be. As a ninja, he dreams of being Hokage so that people will admire him.
