Jounin: Reina had become a jounin by the time she was 10 years old. She viewed her rank here to be her most enjoyable time as a ninja. After retirement she took back her place as a jounin.
Ex-ANBU/Ex-Hunter Nin: Like many ANBU, Reina had been hand picked by the Mizukage along with her brother thanks to their skill and kekkei genkai. Both would spend a few years as regular ANBU members before being transferred to the Hunter-nin branch, most missing-nin still seem to come from Kiri so the group has never been disbanded.

Numerous tattoos cover Reina's body. On her left shoulder and upper arm is a large depiction of a dragon, the head of which is found between her shoulder blades with the body and tail winding around her arm about her elbow. On her right shoulder and upper arm there is a Koi and water design with another dragon tattoo which starts just below the koi and ends at her wrist. Her sides also possess some water related designs. (Refer to picture above and last character picture.)
Reina also has the Kirigakure Anbu symbol tattooed right next to her koi tattoo in her right shoulder area.
| Physical Description | "Look at me if you need to know."
Reina is a tall woman with a lean and toned build to her body from the intense training of shinobi life. She is obviously female though with her modest bust, thinner waste area, and wider hips. Her black hair falls just below her shoulder blades but is usually kept up in a ponytail to keep out of the way and contrasts greatly with her blue-green eyes to make then appear much brighter. Her features are soft, hight cheekbones with a bit of roundness in her cheeks. Her eyes are wide and slightly upturned at the end.
Scars would be visible on her body if she didn't cover them with numerous tattoos, many related in some form to her village or clan. The most noticed one is the one on her left arm/shoulder where her code name derives from.
Clothing wise Reina wears a formfitting purple top that covers her from shoulders to naval with long billowy sleeves that travel below her hands. While the neckline of her shirt is a plunge to about halfway down her chest, Reina has a black tank top underneath. Bandages can be seen on her hands and completely cover her arms up to her shoulder. She also wears a long, mid-calf purple skirt, one side of which is longer than the other revealing a pair of standard black shorts underneath it. A long katana can be seen strapped along her waist, the hilt being on her right side so she can draw it with her left.
| Habits | "I'm sure I have some..."
Staring: Reina tends to just stare at people whether she be studying them or trying to unnerve them. Either way, she's been told it's creepy…and impolite.
Playing with the hilt of her sword: It's a nervous habit of hers that happens when she feels out of place or threatened. The important thing for others to remember is that she can use it and use it well. Her sword is like a safety net, it's something she's had since she can remember.
Remaining quiet: When other's around are speaking to one another or talking, Reina will remain quiet. Socializing isn't her forte and so she will listen dutifully but chances are she won't speak unless asked a question.
| Likes | "Will this be relevant to the mission?"
Water: I mean it's a given right? Kirigakure is surrounded by the stuff, constantly covered in mist, and when it rains it comes down heavy. Mostly though, she enjoys relaxing and taking a soak in a hotspring.
Spicy food: When you can spit lava out of your mouth, spicy food means nothing. Even still, Reina enjoys it immensely. The flavor and burn on her tongue are a pleasant combination in her opinion.
Silence: Nosy places with a lot of people have never been favorites of hers. Rei's the type of person to enjoy the silence and has no need to fill it with useless banter and smalltalk. It gives her time to think about many of the things in life or even enjoy a book.
Shogi: This analytic game is one of Reina's favorites. She sees it as a challenge and enjoys playing the game with an opponent that knows what they are doing. She finds it to be a quiet distraction from the hectic world of politics and clan squabbles.
| Dislikes | "There are many things people do not like, but they still have to deal with them anyway."
Detouring: Reina is the type to make a plan and stick with it. To diverge away from the mission by being distracted by anything, is something she would never do unless there was no way to get around it.
Flowers: Reina does not have a green thumb; in fact everything she attempts to grow dies. There had been a few times where she had received flowers from other people and as hard as she tried she just couldn't keep them alive. She doesn't want them or need them so she really just prefers to stay away from having them.
| Fears | "We strive to make sure these things never happen or come before us, but when they do we must face them with determination."
Disappointing others/Failure: Whether if be a simple task asked of her by her mother or completing a mission assigned by the Mizukage, Reina just cannot bear to fail
Bringing shame to her clan: Since her brother's death, Reina feels that it is her duty to bring her clan to greatness once more. Quite a bit of her behavior stems from this fear as she will never disobey those in a high rank than her or speak out of turn when it meetings. She feels that since her brother's death, she feels that it is her duty to assist her father in bringing the Terumi clan back to the legendary status it once had in the village.
| Strengths | "CHARACTER PERSPECTIVE"
Swordsmanship: Reina is an excellent swordsman and has been trained to use her katana since she was big enough to hold it. She has taken great pride in having this ability and has a few jutsu used specifically with it.
Analytic thinking: Reina always needs to be prepared and that includes numerous strategies for when she meets an opponent in battle. She tries to observe others to figure out their weakness or shortcomings and form some plan to exploit those things.
Large chakra reserves: Inside her body, Reina holds and abundant amount of chakra. This allows her to perform complex and energy consuming techniques without feeling drained and weak right after.
| Weaknesses | "Sharing that information is counterproductive to my goal."
Obedience:[/b] Some may view this as being a good ninja, but Reina will never disobey those in a higher rank than herself; like her father or the Mizukage. This often results in her never speaking her mind or doing things that she does not like.
Socializing: Reina is not one to sit around and shoot the breeze, talking really isn't her thing and many people find her to be off-putting or intimidating to be around. She will speak about the mission if you are a member of her team or she will voice her opinion when she is asked, but that's really about it. Very direct and to the point.
| Personality | "I am how I am."
Since a young age, Reina's family had groomed her into a dutiful shinobi with an intense view of loyalty to clan and village. She does what she is told without question by both her father and the Mizukage. While she can, and often does, think for herself she is the type of person who will not say them aloud if it contradicts what her superiors are saying. She is a very strict and by the book shinobi and thus will never divert from her assignment to help others, even if it will only take a second.
Reina has had limited social interactions throughout her life, resulting in her never really understanding concepts such as friendship and camaraderie beyond working together in order to accomplish a goal. Becoming attached to other people or objects is something she views as unnecessary, even with the few relationships she has herself.
She does have a soft spot however, both when it comes to her younger sister and her former students. This can me mostly seen as a sense of duty she holds to protect them. It's actually very rare to see her in these tender moments and many find it out of character of her if they do manage to see this.

Reina holds two Kekkei Genkai, just as the Fifth Mizukage Mei Terumi did long ago.
Lava Release: "An advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines fire and earth-based chakra to create lava and related substances that can serve multi-faceted purposes." In the Terumi clan, Lava Release is the more common kekkei genkai found amongst it's members.
Boil Release: "is an advanced nature kekkei genkai made up of techniques that combine fire and water-based chakra to create a powerful corrosive vapour capable of melting anything. The user is also able to control the range and level of the vapour's acidity." This particular kekkei genkai was used to melt the Uchiha Susanoo in the time when the Shinobi Alliance was created to defeat the Akatsuki. The acidity also has no effect on the user, allowing them to move freely though the mist without harm.
| History | "CHARACTER PERSPECTIVE"
Since the reign of Mei Terumi, the Terumi clan has been well respect in Kirigakure as are the shinobi that hail from it. The prejudice towards Kekkei Genkai in the village had virtually disappeared during Mei's time as the Mizukage and she lead the Hidden Mist into a prosperity, both domestically and internationally. No longer did the name "Bloody Mist" apply to the land.
Despite Mei's great accomplishments the Terumi clan had fallen to the proverbial back burner in recent years. Despite this though, the clan was still one of the most respected in the entire village. The current leader of the clan, Akihiko, was not exactly happy with the power they had lost over the years and had raised his three children to be great and expected nothing but success from them.
Reina was the second born to the current clan leader. She had an older brother named Shintaro, who was only a year older than her, and a sister named Kisa who is seven years younger than her. Reina and Shin spent much of their childhood competing with one another. Shin had been the prime candidate for the next clan leader and, as the elders had hoped, a future Mizukage. Reina had trained tirelessly to become her brother's right hand. She was taught that the word of the clan and the Mizukage were law and should never be disobeyed.
This training lead to both her and her brother becoming Jounin by the time they were eleven and ten respectively. A year later Reina developed the second kekkei genkai found in her clan. Few possessed the ability for Boil Release in the clan, let alone having Lava release with it. This lead to special training under her father's tutelage and for some reason this formed a rift between her and Shin.
At 14 and 15, both Reina and her brother were in Anbu. The two were by far the most promising in their clan since Mei herself. After a few more years in Anbu, the latter three of which she spent in the specific hunter-nin branch, Reina retired at 19 much to the dismay and anger of her father. She had believed that her success in the field had heightened the strain between her and Shin. Unfortunately Shin would meet his demise soon after while out in the field hunting a missing Kiri ninja. His body was never recovered, thought to have been destroyed by his opponent. Nothing but a deathly large amount of blood, a few scattered weapons, and Shin's shattered mask was recovered.
Shin's death left the clan devastated, especially Reina and Akihiko. Seeing Reina as the last chance for their clan to regain power and to chain her to that duty, Akihiko had made it clear that he believed if Reina had not retired early and stuck with her duty to work at Shin's side, he would have never died. Since Shin's death, Reina has reverted to much of her early strict and proper training.
On a side note she has also successfully mentored a genin team, all of whom have graduated out of genuine status resulting in two chunin and one jounin level ninja. She holds a soft spot for the trio, even despite her stunted social understanding.
