Overview
The sun rises and the face of the world brings hope to everyone. Beyond the mountains or the deserts, the rivers to the oceans, the light will be there to guide us. But wherever there's light, darkness peers through and slowly creeps up around you.
Ten years ago in the school of North Gown, a small portal appears out of nowhere. Shadows, slowly crawling outside of the portal and around the light, takes the form of a human. These shape-shifters are called Shadowed, and they never give off any shadows following them. This is a curious thing that even no one knows about. These Shadowed can be also determined by their eyes, dark shades of gold circling around their iris. These creatures are known to take life from anything, leaving their victim pale white while their souls and the light in them are absorbed, rendering the Shadowed power and strength.
In the present time, the Shadowed has grown stronger and has multiplied. The skies of the world are forever dark, cities became ghost towns and only a tiny amount of light can be seen. Not only do they have decimated nearly whole of the world's population, a peculiar device appears from above. A very huge steel jar, where they keep the souls and the light of humanity. The only way to bring back the light and restore everything back to its original state is to destroy it. This steel jar is called Neverdark and it is guarded by the ferocious Shadowed Beast, Uquex.
Though the power of evil has attracted souls of the dead far and beyond, courageous men and women seek to fight for salvation. Many have suffered trying, but others still kept going although no one was ever successful. Far beyond the little village of Wrangler, the band of fighters who can free the souls begin their quest.

Things you have to watch out for. These are some basic facts about 'some' of the enemies you can encounter.
Shadowed
Description:They are nimble fighters but can take any shape of any human. It may not take the shape of an animal unless they are a Shaded. They are determined if they don't have a shadow and if their eyes have the tint of gold circling the iris in human form.
Strong:Depends on shape they take.
Weak:Weak in raw form. Resistance can be introduced when they shape-shift.
Shaded
Description:Average strength compared to humans in raw form. They can take the shape of any animal but cannot take the form of a human. They can be easily determined with the same traits that can give away their cousins little cousins.
Strong:Depends on shape they take.
Weak:Average strength in raw form. Weakness is showed depending with the animal they transform into.
Opaque
Description:Gray creatures that are not really from the shadows but from the gateway from life and death. They can take the shape of any object and in raw form they can use their psychic powers. They are easily exploited because the object they morph into is gray.
Strong:Uses psychic powers.
Weak:Can't move if an object. Very weak.

OOC Notes
Rose Lightwood is walking outside during the day, but it still look like the middle of the night without the moon and the stars glowing softly. Her face is in mask of calm as she walk the dark streets, daring one of the shadowed to come out and fight her. Her ash grey eyes shows the sadness that she carries with her at all times. Her red hair is up in a pontytail and it flows behind her as she walk alone in the darkness. Everything is a little to quiet and not one of the dark beings that took over is out.

Mmmm I might give this a try. But is this like, a kinda realistic RP or can our created characters have some kind of power or anything like that?

This OOC will be for guide purposes. There will be world guides, monster/enemy guides, character guides, etc. This will be something like an Encyclopaedia of some sort. Although I will just edit this post to make life easier.
The year doesn't matter, everyone has lost track of time. In times of despair everyone has fled and went into hiding while avoiding the darkness and the nimble Shadowed. Everything is broken, shattered, like a barren wasteland and the skies are filled with darkness. Light is only a fragment of the planet, slowly fading away. An unknown force that has sprouted out of nowhere is the cause of all this and only a bunch of brave warriors and fighters can restore light.
Shadow Plains:
Once was the great continent of Asia, the main source of Light. The plains of the great Asian people have been filled with darkness and contempt. White flesh scattered everywhere, rotting from age. It was led by the great Mai Yeo Moon, the emperor of the Moon Dynasty which lasted in secrecy from 250 BC - Present. He has gone into hiding and was never seen again.
China:A country that drowned in poverty, China's population was decimated really fast. Only the strong survived and formed a resistance against the Shadowed.

India:The country that is now an island that was sucked to the middle of the Indian Ocean. It disconnected with Asia but is still treated like it is part of it. The climate in India has suddenly dropped, equal with Australia's temperature.

Mongolia:After a descendant of Genghis Khan invaded Mongolia, it's form of Government changed. But a coup d'etat forced Khan's government to crumble. The coup was led by a Shadowed who swapped the government to Dictatorship. Many oppose this and even Khan built his own resistance to justify his rightfulness in the throne of Mongolia.
