Introduction
This is based off of The Summoning, The Awakening, and The Reckoning by Kelly Armstrong, I just thought it was a totally amazing trilogy, and wanted to make a role play about it. If you have already read the books, then you'll understand much better, but I'll try to explain the situation as well as possible.
Basically, here's the idea:
Your character is at Lyle House because they are... Special. They have unexplained powers which people 'diagnose' as schizophrenia or something. Labels. Bleh.
Lyle House is a group home for disturbed kids (AKA 'crazies'), they're given medication to make them, 'better' and they basically go on with life, 'normally', some of these kids leave and never find out they actually aren't crazy, but what if they find out about their powers and actually work with them? And what if Lyle House isn't as innocent as you think it is?
At Lyle House you get breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a specific schedule. the girl's rooms are separated from the boys rooms and you basically get home schooled with a bunch of other kids.
Lyle House is actually a group of people knowing about these kid's supernatural abilities, and some of the kids who aren't getting 'better', are shipped off and never seen again. The group finally decides after discussing and discovering they aren't crazy kids, (Yay) that this has to stop. They run away, but the government is hunting them, since they don't want their little Supernatural toys out on the streets. So basically right now the kids are on the run and trying to avoid getting killed/captured and they're out in search of someone who can help them, who might just be just like them.

OOC Notes
Kaylee glanced around in the house they were squatting in. It appeared the owners weren't going to miss it for the time being, seeing as how it was the holidays and they were probably up at a cabin or something. She had quickly discovered that they failed to close one of their upstairs windows, most likely to keep the air from smelling stale. They had left behind some items that would not spoil, but had turned off all the power, so there was no heating to beat against the cold weather, but luckily they had a real fireplace that could be lit. Some blankets and pillows had been discovered in the upstairs bedrooms and were now sitting in two big piles beside the fireplace, which Kaylee was failing to set fire to. Still failing, she glanced up, searching for Orihana, whom she remembered had an odd connection with fire. She wasn't sure if she could control it enough to light the fireplace, though.
OOC Notes
Deirdre sat in a corner with her fingers drumming on her knee, emerald eyes fixed on an empty wall, trying to avoid talking to anyone, as she had no true desire to socialize at the moment. She kind of wished there was power in the house...then she wouldn't have to waste any of her iPod's battery. She missed her brother, Johnny...She wondered what he would think if he knew she ran away from Lyle House. Or if he knew what was going on there. He'd told her that he didn't think she was crazy, but was it true? Johnny didn't lie to her about things, he was honest...She could only hope he hadn't been lying about that. Now Deirdre was stuck with a whole bunch of people like her, what she was going to do, she didn't really know.

Bored, tired and slightly nervous, Canon was laying down on the hard, wooden floor, eyes transfixed on the ceiling above. He could make out vague shapes in the roof where rainwater must have leaked through at some point. It was a cozy house, despite the lack of lighting. Sliding himself over so he was at the corner of the room, he grabbed a small, light blue pillow he snatched from one of the upstairs bedrooms and tucked it between his head and the wall. He sighed, looking around the room for the millionth time tonight, not knowing what else to do. He was at a loss for words which rendered him speechless for the past 2 hours or more. Fixing his gaze on the stain in the ceiling once more, he started humming a favorite song of his; 100 Years by Five For Fighting. It was the only song that would ever calm him down at troubling times. Hopefully, he thought to himself, No one will pay attention to me...
OOC Notes
I was sitting up against a tan wall picking at my skin. Canon started to hum a song and it was calming. I didn't care... if it relaxed him, I had no right to stop him from humming. The group had found a house and crawled inside it. Pillows and blankets would be out of place and the room sucked of any warmth it had had because of the fire. I'm sure that the warmth part would not be noticed because the house had its heat turned off. Magazines were on tables and chairs were expensive looking. Rich bastards. Maybe they were nice people, but they would still be... what is the word? Ridiculous?... about this situation. They have a right, we were trespassing, but no one was stealing or breaking anything. We were just like orphans who needed one night of sleep in a semi safe environment. What if they came home soon? What would we say? Could most of us get away? At this point I knew I would not sleep so I reached for an un noticed blanket and wrapped it around my body, arms included. My eyes were open, yet I could see nothing. This house was so dark.

Ori walked downstairs seeing Kaylee trying to light the fireplace. "Do you need help?" She asked walking into the small room her hair falling in her face a bit as she knelt beside her. She had gotten a hang of getting angry and creating a fire, randomly with little or no control. But she did have a good handle of lighters matching and making things ignite. She thought a moment and smiled. "Be right back." She went upstairs coming back down with lighter fluid. She walked over to the fireplace and poured it over the wood before taking matches out of her pocket, she didn't want to use her "Gift." Because it always got her in trouble. She lit the match moving back a bit before tossing it in. Then Whoosh, the fire caught and lit up the room some. "That should last for awhile." She sat sitting on the ground pulling her knees to her chest wrapping her arms around them putting her chin on her knees.

"Thanks. Now we can actually see. So, what should we do now? I mean, we can't stay here forever. Are we going to keep breaking into and squatting in people's homes? It just wont work. They could track us that way, I think. Just by sitting at home, watching the news, and connecting the dots." Kaylee wasn't always the most down-to-earth person, but she was okay at analyzing situations.
She cast a glance around at the other five people in their small group, almost asking if anyone else had an idea on what they should do.
"I know it's not the most," she paused, searching for a word, "comfortable subject, but it has to be discussed now. What are we going to do? Where are we going? How will we get there? We'll talk about this now and then we can sleep on whatever we decide and confirm that we will still do it in the morning. Is that okay with you all?" Kaylee's voice had been unusually soft while she spoke and after she was done talking, she moved tentatively away from the fire and positioned herself in a ball on one of the chairs. "I have a feeling my neck is going to hurt like hell in the morning."

Finishing his second time through his humming, Canon looked up, a worn-out look shading his eyes. With a grunt he lifted himself from the corner and sat himself down by the fire, keeping the pillow with him. He curled up on his side, one arm under the pillow. He looked around at the group, taking in the tired and scared stares while thinking of what the group could do. "For now," he said, "I think we should just lay low, get ourselves into a town and get some food. We might as well keep our energy up if we're going to be wearing it all out from running." He shifted in his spot. "Not that we need much more energy, of course. I'm pretty sure even a normal human can sense the adrenaline coming off of us," he joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Deirdre zipped up her Avenged Sevenfold hoodie and sighed, shaking her head, her emerald eyes now resting on the fire, "I'll have to agree with Canon...It's the only thing I can think of." She admitted, just hoping there weren't any dead bodies, human or animal around because that wouldn't be creepy or anything...Deirdre hadn't really thought of zombies or anything being real, but the idea of accidentally creating a zombie now was a little...odd, creepy...Her imagination was sure to run away with her when she fell asleep.

Ori nodded softly her hair falling in her face. "I agree with Canon as well. We need to rest up before trying anything. But if it comes to it some of us are ready to fight at any time." She said softly her voice barley going above a whisper. She picked up a pillow and tossed it onto the floor laying down looking at the ceiling, she didn't take a blanket thinking more about the others then herself, like always. She was a person who was never selfish always thinking about the well-being of others before herself. She curled up looking more tired then usual, she had trouble of staying asleep for most of the time.

Danielle sat up against the wall next to the fireplace. Kaylee and Orihana were lighting the fire and the others seemed to be doing their own thing. Then they started talking about what they should do. What they had to do seemed obvious to her. As long as they stayed hidden and ate every once in a while, they should be fine. At least that's what Danielle's idea was. She didn't mind living like this. In fact, she thought it was way better than living at home with her fucked up family. She still couldn't believe that her own mother would send her to a place for crazy kids. It was someting that she would never forgive her for. Her mother would probably be happy to hear that she had run away and was now living on the streets. Danielle was in a way happy that she wouldn't be missing anything. Running away would have been much harder if her mother and two brothers actually loved her. Her thoughts were interrupted by the others saying that they should all get some rest.
"I'll go to sleep on my own terms." she said grumpily.
Danielle didn't like it when others told her what she should do. Sleeping wasn't going to be easy anyway. There was too much that could happen with the Lyle House members after them. She didn't know how determined they were to get them back, but she wasn't going to take the risk.

Kaylee cast Dani a glare in response to her comment, but bit her tongue to stop herself from retorting. As the discussion seemed to end, Kaylee shifted so that she was balled up on her side, facing the back of the chair, but she knew she wouldn't sleep, even though she was exhausted. Giving up after a few minutes, she got up and began wandering the house again, shivering as she got farther from the fire. After a while, she found herself in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which appeared to have belonged to a teenage girl, which was a guess based off of the decor. Kaylee began searching the room, looking for anything that could be useful to the group. Only finding some clothes, Kaylee sighed. She didn't want to steal, but it would help disguise them, because it would be expected for them to still be wearing the clothes they escaped in. Bored now, she fell back on the mostly-bare bed and lay quietly for what felt like a long time, but it was probably only a few minutes. Almost without noticing it, she began to cry. Salty tears rolling down her face as she thought of what she had sacrificed by running away from Lyle House. She had left her friends and family without a second thought and now she was almost considering going back.
"I leave my family if I run and if I go back I may very well end up back in Lyle House without my friends. Screwed if I stay, screwed if I go back..." Kaylee trailed off, thinking out loud.

Deirdre coughed, trying not to laugh at Dani's comment and then got up, walking upstairs.
She heard Kaylee talking to herself, keeping a blank expression, the dark haired girl walked in, eyeing the decor for a moment before sitting crossed-legged on the floor, "I'm screwed if I go back too, you know. I doubt I can ever see my older brother again...and he was like a best friend and an older brother all in one, so I kind of understand your situation." Deirdre said.

Ori looked up. "The only mentionable person in my family is dead, so I Guess I'm one of the only ones here who do not wish to return home." She looked at Dani. "Learn to bite your tongue and keep quiet." She said frowning a bit. She sat up her head hurting. "I can't sleep I'm going for a walk." When she said walk she meant patrol. She stepped out of the house taking a look around, ten minuets she returned to the house not seeming at all phased by the cold. Her face was slightly cut up. "when we do leave, be careful there are a lot of thorns outside...." She mumbled sitting by her pillow. "Otherwise everything is clear..." She was a very perceptive girl so being a look out was something easy for her,

Canon got up from his spot near the fire and walked upstairs, following the hushed murmurs of Kaylee and Deirdre. He stepped into the room quietly, glancing at both of them. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I just wanted to let you know I'm going to keep watch outside for a bit, so there's a free spot down by the fire." Canon smiled at them. "I can't sleep anyway. The spot's all warmed up for whoever wants it." He paused for a moment, then made his way back downstairs. "So I'm going to stay outside for a bit," he told the others. "I'm not up for sleeping, and someone might as well be out there in case something happens, so it might as well be me." He took up the pillow he was using and threw it to the corner of the room while going out the door.

Ori looked at Canon. "shout if you need any help okay?" She said ducking her head so the pillow didn't hit her. She was bored out of her mind with nothing to do, she wasn't at all tired. And the small house didn't provide any entertainment. She grabbed her bag looking through it, she had stolen a lot of food from the Lyle's house so they wouldn't starve to death. She grabbed her hair brush untying the bells from her hair shoving them in her pocket before running the brush through her multi-colored hair.

"Of course," Canon called back to Ori, smiling. He continued on his way around the house, checking out the property. Out of nowhere, he stopped where he was. His hands tightened into fists and he gritted his teeth. Oh, come on, he thought to himself, starting to feel dizzy. Without another thought, he knew it was the Werewolf side of him. He had not been out in Werewolf form in quite a while, so the Untamed part of it was more active than usual. Canon fought it off, as he usually did. He noticed his nails starting to harden and elongate, and his canines started growing. Sitting down on a small rock, he bit his lip to keep from yelling and clutched his knees. As he started rocking back and forth, he remembered that this was the reason he was sent to Lyle House. Paranoid Schizophrenia. What a joke. If they only knew what it actually was. At one point, he was tempted to let loose and tell everyone, but realized that he'd be diagnosed with more psycho symptoms.
Coming back to reality, he slowed his breathing as much as he could, focusing on a small pond ahead of him. He looked at his hands, which were bloodied by the sudden nail growth. His jaw felt slack, but his teeth felt like a normal human's again. Sighing, Canon got up and started around the house again, trying to walk off the experience. He finally settled down on a lawn chair left outside the house, looking up at the stars and cleaning off his hands. He had to control it, if not for him, for the group he was with.

Danielle glared at Ori as she spoke, but said nothing in return. She didn't want anyone to tell her what to do. Kaylee and Deridre walked upstairs. Canon and Ori walked outside. Danielle moved over into a corner and pulled her legs in with her amrs wrapped around them. She hid her face in her knees. There was nothing to describe the way she felt. She was happy, angry, and sad all at the same time. It didn't make sense to her. All these emotions spinning around her head were making her even more grumpy. Maybe she was bipolar.
Where they right about me? What if I do belong there? What if I don't serve any other purpose other than to be destroyed? I'm too dangerous to keep around with my uncontrollable powers. she thought to herself.

An hour ago, Pandora had told their little dysfunctional family that she'd be out making rounds, carefully picking her way around the parameter of the house to make sure that no one would find them. She wasn't very good at sitting in a dark house, twiddling her thumbs while they all quietly wondered what they should do. She felt better out in the open, with the snappy breeze cooling her burning skin. She fought the urge to scratch her bare arms and only heaved a frustrated sigh. It felt like she had chicken pox all over again, except it was worse—she could scratch until she bled, which wouldn't help her situation any. The only one who understood that type of agony was Canon, and he wasn't much of a conservationist. Dark eyes scanned across the wide yard, she couldn't help but envy whoever owned this summer house. The waxed moon only offered brief bouts of luminescent light as she plodded on, the darkness caused involuntary shivers but her nose worked fine, and at the time, she couldn't smell anything.

Thankfully, she was only at the stage of itching but knew that her change wasn't far off. She always felt a small wave of relief whenever she exchanged glances with the other werewolf, because she didn't feel so alone. At least she had that much, the entire groups' moral seemed to be expiring the more they ran away and squatted down at every abandoned house they could manage to stumble upon. Sometimes, they weren't that lucky and had to make due with any abandoned place—parking garages, not excluded. Circling around the looming house, she couldn't help but hug her arms around herself before twining her fingers behind her head. They were like orphans running away from something terrible, it almost made her chest swell. She liked everyone she met in Lyle's, there wasn't any reason not to—they were like her, hunted and lost.

Lawn chairs were strewn across it, obviously someone didn't have time to pack them away or didn't care enough to do it. And there was Canon, slumped exhaustively in one of them while he fiddled with his hands. She could smell the metallic scent of blood. "I can't smell anything, I think we'll be fine for the night." She took a few more tentative steps forward before hefting another lawn chair a few paces away from Canon's, and plopped unceremoniously into it. Silence, and then. “You okay?”

Deirdre sighed lightly, looking around the room. She wasn't into running all over the place like this...but she knew they had to right now. She frowned a little, finding it mildly stupid of Canon to go alone...she didn't think it was safe setting just one person out, she would expect him pull the typical 'I'm a guy, I can take care of everything myself.' thing if she complained, however Deirdre didn't utter a word, but she worried. She was the kind to keep quiet but worry until it practically drove her mad. Maybe she would go check on things herself in a little while...

Canon glanced at the newcomer, smiling. He let out a short, soundless laugh and flicked his hands to his knees where they slumped weakly. "Yeah," he told her. "I'm okay." He stretched, yawning as he did so. His hands landed behind his head, which had rolled back so he was looking at the sky. "I'm okay," he said again, more for convincing himself than anyone else. At this point, that was all he could do. He knew it wouldn't be long until the Untamed side of him would wreak havoc on the group, but he had to keep it at bay for as long as he could. It was his priority to keep the group safe. Hell, they already made it away from Lyle House alive, so why stop now?
He looked back at Pandora. "You know, you can go in and get some rest if you want. I'm good out here for a while, and it's warmer inside. I wouldn't want you freezing out here for nothing," he told her. "Thanks, by the way," he added before staying silent.

Mimicking Canon, Pandora's eyes took in the sky. It was strange to see something so pretty whereas the past few days had seemed to ugly, they were on the run and here they were stargazing, because that's all they could do. Continuing to scratch her arm as gingerly as she could, she raked her nails across her skin and made a small irritated sound. Canon's response didn't seem convincing and she frowned, pointing towards the sky at the spotted little dipper. There was so much they didn't know about themselves and there was no one to guide them—everyone they trusted had thrown them away to some twisted organization who medicated them, and they weren't even sick. Not sick in the human sense, anyway. She took a deep breath, feeling better that the cool breeze enveloped them.
“Surprisingly, I'm not tired.” Pandora chided, a small smile tugging at her lips. How could any of them be tired? Everyone must have the same things running through their heads. It was hard just to lay down and sleep, if you were wondering how long you'd be running, and if you'd ever have the chance to stop. What if they were caught? Shaking the thoughts free, she brushed some strands of brown hair away from her eyes. “And I kind of like it out here, it feels safer.” It was a strange thought. Nowhere was safe for them. It didn't mean that sleep didn't tug at her lidded eyes, because she was just as exhausted as everyone else, but she'd feel useless if she curled up in the corner to sleep. Besides, two noses were better than one. Absently, she wondered what the others were doing. Ori had probably started a fire in the fireplace for the others to warm up. Had they come up with a plan?
“Surprisingly, I'm not tired.” Pandora chided, a small smile tugging at her lips. How could any of them be tired? Everyone must have the same things running through their heads. It was hard just to lay down and sleep, if you were wondering how long you'd be running, and if you'd ever have the chance to stop. What if they were caught? Without a word for what seemed like a day, Canon stared at the constellation Pandora pointed out. He remembered when he was young, his mother got him a telescope, and the first thing he found was the Little Dipper. Ever since, he loved looking for it in the sky. It was his only reminder of home, and his only ray of hope that he would ever get back. He just wanted to see it once. Once more he wanted to lay in his bed, watch a TV show with his mother, eat real, homemade food, and just be a normal kid. A normal, human kid.
Shaking his head, he came back to the real world; he was a Werewolf. He was dangerous. And no one would want a 6 foot tall dog as a pet, so disguising himself was out of the question. Laughing at his own joke, Canon turned to Pandora. "Ori started up a fire in there, so it's actually quite nice... but, I feel the same way. It's better out here, quieter. And peaceful." He sighed, letting his breath out slowly. "Who knows how long this will last, eh?" he asked her, trying to come up with an answer himself. The Group is his home now, so he might as well enjoy the, what he could call, 'good' times, while they lasted. Being outside with Pandora, looking at the stars, just being normal for just one night.

Ori walked out of the house wandering a bit from the house hoping no one noticed, she took a deep breath a flame appearing in her hand. She watched the fire dance and smiled softly, the fire to her was calming. More so it the flame sat in her hand. It felt alive to her, like a small child. She sat on the ground and closed her eyes, this was how she learned to control her "Powers" Mediation. She eased off into a trance like state the flame growing bigger when she breathed in, and grew smaller when she breathed out. A fox walked over to her and the fire faded, she looked at the fox and smiled, it was cutte. She picked it up and held it, she then walked over to Canon with a kid-like look on her face. She was a sucker for fluffy animals. "Look what I found." She grinned.
OOC Notes
Canon smiled at Ori and gave a little cutesy wave at the fox. He laughed at his gesture, thinking to himself how lame he must look in front of Ori and Pandora, waving to a fox. Without warning, the fox yipped at him. It tried to squirm its way out of Ori's arms, almost biting Ori to get at him. "Woah!" he exclaimed, raising his hands in surrender. "Ori, please, let the fox go. Preferably that way," he asked her pointing towards the forest. "And do you think you can do that soon? Seriously I think it wants to eat me. Let it go." Canon put his feet up, looking at Pandora, trying to read her reaction to the ordeal they were facing. He gave out a short laugh and looked back at Ori questioningly. "How did you manage to get a fox so close to you anyway," he asked her between the fox's yapping.

All good ideas, really. I think I like maybe the fact that she was looking for them, and kind of saves them from the Lyle doctors who are attacking them right now. Then sweeps them off to her headquarters or whatever. Just a thought. ;D You can be related to my character if you want, perhaps an aunt to the bad father she had? Or mumzy? Whatever sounds better. Also, I'll post tomorrow because my computer is seriously going at a crawl and I'm gonna throw it soon.
