Introduction
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prologue
Large Haldron Collider, CERN. 5 Minutes Ago.
Micky sipped at his coffee, trying to wake up for what promised to be another boring night shift at the LHC. They were finally finishing preparations to try and fire the Collider again. I wonder what will go wrong this time, he thought, and smiled. A lot of the scientists at CERN were beginning to think that God was sabotaging the Collider, preventing the end of the world from coming about. Micky just thought this was nonsense, even though he was a devout catholic and his parents loved to berate him about “God’s divine plan” and how he was “aiding and abetting the Adversary” when he came to visit. His walkie suddenly crackled to life, “We’re ready to fire, Micky.” That would be George, a friendly Brit he had been working with for years. “Alright, Georgie. Initiate firing sequence.” The Collider could only be fired when all the consoles were activated in sequence, to ensure nothing “went wrong.” This, of course didn’t stop things from always going wrong. They had never successfully fired the LHC, never had a particle collision.
The sequence started, “Sector 12 firing.”
“Sector 23 firing.”
“Sector 34 firing.”
“Sector 45 firing.”
By now he could hear the great whirring of machines and engines travelling his way. He turned the key on his firing button and the glass panel swung up.
“Sector 56 firing.”
“Sector 67 firing.”
“Sector 78 firing.”
By now the Collider was approaching Critical Mass.
“Sector 81 firing.”
That was his cue. “ATLAS firing.” He hit the red button.
The world immediately turned inside out. Micky didn’t have words to explain what he was experiencing. He knew that an explosion was happening, but he couldn’t hear it. What he would hear were voices, thousands of them: whispering, shouting, singing lullabies. He heard the clashing of blades and the pops of muskets. As for what he saw, it’s just not possible to describe what it’s like to see time non-linearly, but that was what he was seeing. All of his ancestors, all of them. He could feel them and see them and experience their lives; taste what they tasted, and see what they saw. He was all at once himself, all of his ancestors, and all of his descendants.
For both a moment and an eternity, he lived all of history: He lived the lives of all his ancestors, and he lived on in his descendants. He saw all of time, from the beginning of humanity to her end; and the future! By God, it was so beautiful! For both a moment and eternity, this is what he saw, what he lived. He wept with joy.
And then he was dead.
Rules
Some ideas: Writers can write scenes both from your modern character’s point of view and from any of their ancestor’s point of view. If you know anything about your actual ancestors, it could be fun to use them in the story!
Be sure to list the location and date at the start of any post, ex:
Texas. present day. or, London. 1314.
There's all of time and the whole world to flesh out in this story, so I need AS MANY AS POSSIBLE to join in the chaos!

OOC Notes
Adam watched the game on a small television in a smoky sports bar while he swigged his cheap beer. He was surrounded by all his buds who were shouting and groaning because the Nicks were losing. He took another chug of beer as he looked over his notes. Normally there would be nothing he would rather do on a Monday night than to shout and cheer with his friends and get plastered on bud lite, but he had way too much work to do. Finals were coming up, and he was working hard on a term paper for his Genealogy class. He was required to write a biography on one of his ancestors, and he was looking over his notes on his choice for the paper: John “Poker Face” McCann, one of the most famous card sharks and gambling experts of his day. Among his notes, along with dates of birth, accomplishments, and so on, he had a list of swindles and card scams: Three-card Monty, Deck stacking, and Cutting Aces. The last one was nearly impossible to do, but was John’s best technique, and made him very rich. Adam had never played cards with anyone besides his Grandmother, and never for stakes.
It wasn’t unusual for Adam to bring his homework to his favorite sports bar, either. Although most people would be distracted by the noise, the smoke, and the shouting of inebriated sports fans, something about the atmosphere actually helped Adam concentrate. He went back to his outline and started writing again. He was just about to look over his notes about John McCann’s involvement in the mob later in his life to work into the outline when several things happened that shouldn’t have been related to each other. All the power suddenly cut out, and Adam suddenly felt a tight, stabbing pain in his head. He fell off his stool with the pain, and over his own yowls of pain he could hear others screaming too. He had just managed to realize that everyone in the bar was feeling the same pain in their heads when the pain stopped just as suddenly as it had started, and the power came back on in the bar. He got up carefully and thought his ears might be ringing slightly. He looked around the room at a sea of faces looking just as surprised as he was at what had just happened. He turned to his friends, who were no longer paying attention to the game. “Are you guys okay?”
OOC Notes
Yumiko had been daydreaming most of the day, thinking about Klaud. From the tales she heard from her family, he must have been a great person. His bravery to fight in war, his excellent lancing skills, they all encouraged her to do something good for her country. As school let out, she walked home with a few friends, all laughing and having fun. Today was the day they'd hang out and go out to eat. They settled for going out to a fancy restaurant, in celebration for one of Yumiko's friend's birthdays.
As they talked and talked, Yumiko suddenly developed a headache. She groaned in pain, and soon the other too were moaning and groaning in pain. Actually, it seemed to be everyone in the restaurant. As her head throbbed, she thought she could hear voices, but ignored them. As the pain gradually left, she checked to make sure her friends were alright.

[OOC] New Memories
Scientists at CERN finally manage to get the machine working. The particles collide, and a giant shockwave hits the earth. Nothing else spectacular happens, except that the people of the world are changed forever. The EMP emanating from CERN activated a latent gene in humanity, and normal people everywhere are able to access their Genetic Memory. They are able to remember the lives of their ancestors and pick up their skills; and naturally chaos ensues. Anyone is free to join.

One more thing: this is NOT an Assasin’s Creed fan roleplay, take that stuff to the Fiction Based Roleplay forum.
I've already written a prolouge as well as my first post.
ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN, I WANT AS MANY WRITERS AS POSSIBLE!!!
