Looking at Yuuki was all Akira could do when Rocco mentioned 'class president material'. When Akira thought of a class president, someone like Yuuki came to mind. The junior girl was academic and composed more often than not, she was suited for the role. While she wasn't the easiest person to get along with, Yuuki was undeniably efficient. Akira knew that she wasn't, she had no idea what she was doing and really no solid clue as to what was expected of her. As far as Akira was concerned, Rocco's statement attested to how he didn't know enough about her yet. Nothing about Akira was 'class president material'. In Britain, she was the exact opposite. A class president wouldn't have gotten into the mess she found herself in with Luca back then. She preferred to slack off when possible, and if she had a choice, she would have been outside playing basketball all day, not bottled up in a classroom writing down concepts for this project. If it were up to her, she wouldn't be listening to how Rocco and her lookalike were likely fingerbreadths, one snide remark, one wrong move away from brewing chaos. It would be up to her and Yuuki to break it up. Akira still had a fading bruise from doing just that in the gymnasium, but if she had to, it was at least something she had already done once. It wasn't a solo effort, but she learned from her mistake. She wasn't going to be caught off guard like that twice. It was a rookie mistake, but it had been quite some time, she had forgotten how heedless people could be when tempers flared. That was her error and she had to own it, I'm not that kind of person! I'm not a narc. I'm not a tattletale. I don't have some kind of teacher's pet stick up my arse! Akira asserted to herself, shaking the thought away.

"I'll pass on the sausage fest."

Almost choking as he described it, Akira cleared her throat with a light blush dusting her cheeks. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him and it would only serve to amuse her. At least the bulk of the students at this school fell for her deception. Only one person knew, and so far it seemed it was going to stay that way. As crude as his response was, it was reassuring that she wasn't going to have to explain things just yet to everyone, that her status at this school wasn't going to be revoked just yet. Well, he assumed it himself, so this one isn't on me. Akira told herself, if only to ease her conscious a little. She also found it to be a little odd that he was striving to get paired with girls when he already had a girlfriend. Are they not exclusive? Did I misread the situation..? Akira thought to herself thoroughly confused now. He seemed to get a bit jealous at lunch, but now he was looking for the company of other girls..? Did that mean he didn't care if she spent time with Kaori-chan afterall? It seemed like she would be a fun person to get to know, so if it was like that, she could ask her to hang outside of school, right? Akira's inner feminist was determined to not treat Kaori any differently just because Rocco tried to intimidate her, but at the same time she knew it could bring unnecessary conflict to her school life if he truly was the jealous type. I guess it is up to Kaori in the end.. Akira thought to herself as her eyes returned to Yuuki and Kaori working hard on the project, Kawaii~!!

"Cool. Thanks for the permission, Azarashi."

Permission? It was more or less just a suggestion, but she didn't really mind and just responded with a thumbs up with her right hand as she was holding her pen with her left. Whether or not they were allowed to extend their groups so long as the same amount of work was put in, Akira didn't know, but she really didn't care either. If the teachers were spread this thin, it wasn't her fault if she didn't know how to keep the class in line on her first week of high school. It wasn't like there was a manual on how to handle this stuff. She was figuring this out as she went along.

Thankfully it wasn't long before her partner approached, a relieved smile forming on Akira's features. It seemed that classes were a bit unhinged after the fire, but she didn't expect anything less. It was scary, everyone had a right to be a little frazzled. Realizing that even school could be unsafe at times was a hard pill to swallow, and it was probably something the wealthier kids at this school had never considered before, at least that's what Akira assumed. She didn't hold the rich with very high regard as the only wealthy person in her life abandoned her. It left a sore spot in her heart and gave her a strong bias. Deep down she understood her generalization wasn't fair, but at the same time, she couldn't bring herself to care. Accepting that not all rich people were assholes would mean facing her father was simply an asshole that chose his career instead of his daughter. Her eyes scanned Chase for a moment, but she neatly wound her earbuds around her phone, putting them in her pocket for safe keeping. It seemed it was time to give school work her full attention.

"Ah, Blake-san. It's good to see you again. How was your lunch?"

"Good! I spent it with... friends. How was yours?" At first Akira hesitated, but she finally settled on an identifier and returned the question with interest. It was too early to tell. To be honest, Akira wasn't sure if she would call Kei, Rocco, and Kaori her friends just yet, but she didn't hold ill will toward them either, so it was the easier answer. If not friends, what would she call them? Acquaintances? That sounded too formal. It wasn't a business lunch. If she changed her mind no one would notice, she didn't name anyone in particular.

"May I?"

Glancing between the open seat and Chase, Akira nodded, gesturing to the seat, "Yeah, absolutely. It would be tough to work on the project together if you had to stand all day." Akira responded, about to ask him if he had anything in mind for the assignment but she noticed that something was amiss. His book was held incorrectly, and he was looking over at a girl in the class with tanned skin (Mao). Akira couldn't really blame him. Her look was exotic, especially in a country where the norm for beauty was pale skin. She saw numerous commercials and products in stores meant to 'lighten' one's skin. Akira did her best not to dispute Asian cultures, but essentially bleaching one's skin seemed a little excessive to her. Biting her bottom lip, Akira managed to keep herself from grinning. So many potential romances and it's only been a week~ Akira mentally sang, her mood lifting a little. It wouldn't be long before the halls were filled with a different kind of drama: relationships. It was an inevitability. Getting so many teenagers together was begging for hearts to get broken. At least it wasn't going to be a big deal for Akira. In the past she never experienced more than a fleeting crush here and there, she never really fell too hard for anyone, so she didn't really get the 'pain' of a first love just yet, and she didn't really expect to while disguised as a boy. It would be pure masochism to fall for someone like this. Well, at least Chase and his mystery girl would look good together.

Placing her paper of notes on his desk, Akira waited for Chase's attention to come back to their homework before making any comments, "Well...this is about words and phrases that are useful for tourists so ideas should be in no short supply..." Akira noted as neither of their surnames were of Japanese origins. 'Blake' nor 'Kaufman' were not local names and if she was correct, she felt they had an edge in at least one aspect of the lesson. It meant they formerly had the same experience as a tourist, "We'll have to be careful to not make mistakes when it comes to writing the translations though." Akira's written Japanese had a long way to go before it could be considered passable. She was still learning, struggling with the concept of it as it was nothing like writing in English. The downside to being foreign was that Japanese writing looked like indecipherable scribbles if you didn't take learning to read and write it seriously. A loud noise made her nearly jump out of her seat, looking around for the source when she realized Rocco had effectively removed Kaito from his seat where he had previously been taking a nap. Akira smacked her palm against her face, unsure if she wanted to watch what came next. It was none of her business really unless they started to throw fists. Until then, she wasn't going to interfere, because if the class presidents intervened every little incident, they'd never get their own school work done, "Boys are so immature..." Akira sighed to herself under her breath, tensing a bit when she noticed that she actually said that out loud. Well, at least she said it quietly. If Chase was still distracted by the other girl or the horseplay, he probably wouldn't have noticed.

"My heart is weak, tear it down piece by piece
Leave me to think, deep in my structure,
I think I still love her, but I need some sleep
You've taken my breath away, now I want,
To breathe 'cause I cannot see,
What you can see, so easily.

I thought my demons were almost defeated,
But you took their side and you pulled
Them to freedom, I kept your secrets and,
I thought that you would do the same.

Leave me in peace, caught in my memories,
Lost underneath, deep in my structure,
I feel a rupture, from where she should be
You've taken my breath from me, now
I want to breathe 'cause I cannot see."

"Giou-san." Aeon had come to a stop before Ryou's desk. There was no indications of being intimidated before his fellow senior. Then again, it is not surprising as nothing daunts him. "Excuse me my intrusion. However, we are paired for the activity." His tone never showed doubt or impunity as he continued on. It had come to his observation that the Basketball Captain appeared to be waiting for him. And yet, manners are manners. "I had also invited Fukui-san to join in lieu of Cassiopeia's absence. If you see any problem, I would endeavor to solve it."

Ryou's gaze settled on Aeon ever since the 'Golden Boy' of Airdalen made way towards him. He would not lie that the fair-haired senior has a charm that is hard to ignore. It was due to that he could feel the pressure of those eyes being lifted from his form. "Belrose-san." He gave his form of greeting with a casual nod. After that, his eyes trailed towards the 'Lorelei'. He has no problems of having her join them. She was no a nuisance like the others. "It's fine." He gestured towards an empty chair with his hand. "Let's finish it." He wanted to finish the activity since, he does not like unfinished business.

Sharing the same sentiment, Aeon took the empty chairs near the vicinity and arranged it properly around Ryou's desk. "Of course." He then took a seat and produced a stack of already cut colored papers and a marker which had been prepared beforehand. It was taken from the cabinet present inside the classroom. One of the perks of an expensive and elusive school, there was no need to worry about materials. "How would you like the work be divided, Giou-san?"

Ryou looked at the papers and noted Aeon to be the type who always prepares and seemed to always know what to do. Such traits often received ire. He was not one of them though. "I am still not well-versed in Nihongo. I'm confident in English." Despite his Japanese descent, his birthplace and mother language is English. Still, he is aware that the 'School Prince' could finish this activity on his own, remembering the test scores and marks in the recent year and so. He also pegged the blonde-haired senior to have the business setting in the bag. The guy just has that presence about.

"I understand." Aeon actually knew already where Ryou's strength laid in this activity. Yet, it is only proper to present such a choice. "Then, I would like you to provide basic English words in relation to business as many as you can. I would handle the translation to Nihongo." He handed the modelesque senior a paper to write on. "I shall handle the phrases. After my translation, I would like for you to check its context." There was really no need since, he is extremely fluent in English and Nihongo. Even with that, he does know the importance of working together.

"Okay." Ryou took the paper and began to write English words that has reference to business. It was not hard since he does have ideas in the lingo due to his uncle dabbling in marketing. Still, there was a nagging nail inside his thoughts. He was never the kind to probe. He never asks things that has no direct connection with his life and so. "Belrose-san, is Cassie-san okay?" But, the Pink Princess is a topic that hits close to him in a sense. Aeon who was already working stopped and looked at those silver eyes attempting to pierce through his mask. "Yes." There was a definitive pause. "Giou-san. You do not like to be close."

Ryou looked away first as he continued writing. He knew what Aeon was implying in that statement. "She is... a friend." Still blue eyes looked at the black-haired captain. "You should see her when she comes back, Giou-san." The answer was a simple nod from Ryou. Silence reigned between the two boys as they continued with their work, unaware their interaction had been carefully noted.

Tsukiko was such a charming girl. The back and forth between them was organic and was acutely aware of the subtle intentions and methods the girl was using to keep her on his mind. It wasn't as if they weren't working however, it was simply the laws of attraction and Tsukiko knew how to bend those laws in her favor. Extremely impressive. Her comments about the chocolate made him smile wider and blush just slightly, he had almost forgotten about that. "Ah yes.. Perhaps at a later date. I could look forward to either one." He was going to have a little fun an remain vague on the issue as well, girls seemed to like boys being intimate and it honestly just amused him.

The two parted ways with Tsukiko again being her bold self, that he was sure he was going to see more in the future. Immediately afterwards the bell rang signifying that classes had begun and that Tadashi... Was late. He sighed and made a bee line to the appropriate classroom and silently stepped in. He approached what appeared to be a substitute teacher and bowed in respect. "I apologize, I was escorting a junior to their classroom." He got details on the assignment and looked on the board seeing that there were names for pairings.

Image

Kiomine and Miyamoto... Of course. Tadashi went to find himself a seat and began to set up his items to begin the assignment. "Oi. You, Kiomine, Tadashi? Here we go. Tadashi loked up to see Kazuki approach and move a desk over in front of him. "Let's get it straight, bud. Do. The. Work." Slowly, ever so slowly Tadashi's eyes shifted from the even purple-red to more red with every passing second. He (Kazuki) hadn't changed a bit, but now he was looking at him in a different light. The source of years of mental, physical and social torture almost fresh in his mind sat right in front of him demanding that he did work. It was mostly a blessing that he (Kazuki) didn't seem to recognize him. He just stared in awe at how his former bully behaved.

"Oi, stick figure, make it quick." Glancing down at his paper he had already begun an outline of the project they were both assigned which he had every intention of doing it. An insult came his direction about being dumb. "Ugh." He rolled his eyes and looked back toward Kazuki with eyes almost near red now. "Or you have the balls to go against me?" His face was blank as he stared back, letting the child (Kazuki) throw his tantrum while he did relatively nothing at all. That's how he was behaving, like a child; acting out at the closing thing to him and that happened to be Tadashi. "I have a feeling this isn't about me actually...". It wasn't hard to deduce in reality once he thought about it, everyone behaves or acts out for some reason or another.

With Tadashi leaning the two boys were uncomfortably close, he knew those eyes. He knew this look and expression, it may have matured and become more refined but he knew it. "You remind me of my toy." Well THAT was news, slightly his head tilted to the side as he stared into the 'child's' eyes. Was he (Kazuki) talking about him? Did he think that of him from all those years ago? He was a little bit of disturbed by it, but he would deal with that later. There was another insult about him being 'girly' and Kazuki smiled the ever changing and alluring smile that he had. It could've worked on any other person if it wasn't for the fact that Tadashi had seen how nasty he (Kazuki) could be. "I have an idea, want to play with me?"

There was a pause, with his head still titled just slightly not giving any ground given their close proximity. "No-..." With a cold and solid tone, Tadashi turn back down to the paper and continue on the project writing out things used for a business meeting. The response echoed annoyance and slight revulsion to Kazuki's pressing for 'fun'. He immediate idea to resolve this solution was to not entertain Kazuki's sick sense of fun, ignore the child and they'll stop their behavior- ideally anyways. He was far from ignoring Kazuki, able to focus on more than one thing at a time.

The devilish smile did not disappear. Instead, it held a mockery and eyes of gold reflected a sharpness that one would not want to be at the receiving end of it. "Good, you know your place." Kazuki's voice carried that pleased tone, but one could interpret the subtlety of undermining Tadashi's own way of answering back. He had already decided to play with his so-called partner for the activity. He never needed anyone's permission to do whatever he wants in the first place. "Though, you are quite boring." He grabbed a piece of paper. He did not write on it at all. He instead folded it and not before long. He had made a paper plane and threw it into the air.

The paper plane flew through the classroom without care and collided with the back of a fellow senior's head. The guy rubbed the back of his head and had an annoyed look. But when he met Kazuki's gaze, his expression changed into that helpless sigh. "Not, gonna do the work, Kaz?" He had hanged out with the infamous Hellion. "Nope. Skelly here would handle it." That was expected. Kazuki would not do any work on it. His attendance to classes is already considered a miracle. It was one of the reasons that a lot of buzz was circulating about the relationship between him and the new girl, Fuyuki.

"Oh yea, are you still on later tonight?" Kazuki took another paper and made a plane out of it. He did have a party to attend this evening. It would be a good place to gather some entertainment and to blow off some stress. But, he remembered an embarrassed face of a certain someone. There was a twisted gleam on his eyes. "Nah, I got something important to do." The guy noticed that look and he felt sorry for the person who caught the Hellion's eyes. "'Kay, the girls would be disappointed though." Kazuki released another paper plane into the air. "I'll have my fun with them some other time."

Just like so, the paper plane hit another fellow senior. The guy turned around and saw nothing. He didn't notice the plane on the floor. "You'll get in trouble, man." That whispered warning just entered Kazuki's ear and left without any obstacle. "So?" He smirked while grabbing a handful of paper, not even paying attention to Tadashi. He didn't even think to mind if the paper was being used or what-not. But when it comes to Kazuki, he never cares enough to notice. He made paper planes again and let it soar after.

It hit the same guy again, but this time it involved the other guy nearby. Eventually, a fight started between the two. The commotion was idiotic and entertaining for Kazuki. It goes to show that it is rather easy Kazuki grinned like the devil of mischief that he is while leaning on his chair rather comfortably. He still has one paper plane left in his hand. He was not done having his fun and really, it was no concern of his what happens to the people around him. This is what he really is... brazen and unhinged.

At that point, Kazuki cast a glance to where Fuyuki is. She was not even looking and was busy with her own work. He clicked his tongue in irritation. His thoughts were going to places he doesn't want it to. He looked at the so-called 'Shi-kun'. He threw the paper plane aiming for Tadashi's forehead. "Are you done?" His tone carried his impatience and his golden eyes that could rival the sun, reflected his foul temper. "I don't have all day."

xxxxReturning the gaze of her enemy truly tested her resolve to carry on in a cordial manner. He may be considered the School Idol but he was certainly no Idol of hers as her ire was easily earned and not easily cast aside. "I see." There was a pause as Aeon looked to the board and Gen seized the moment to collect herself. The school's punishment of his attendance at her club was already taxing and now she had been placed in yet another situation where she was urged to talk to him further as the close friend of her assigned absent partner. Not only that but she had recently discovered he knew her father whom had not contacted her about the emergency evacuation and might be the only parent to not have. These were not ideal circumstances to share with someone like Aeon whom she despised.

xxxxHis next piece of news also did not put her at ease. "My apologies as well Fukui-san. I do not think Cassiopeia would be able to work with you." It was not so much the workload that troubled her but that she had sought for his attention without productive result. It had been a waste of their time that was ultimately avoidable as she was destined to work on this project alone whether or not she spoke to Aeon. However, she didn't voice any complaint because it was not the fault of Cassiopeia or Aeon. She made a conscious decision to investigate into the absence and being assigned to someone absent was the cards she was dealt by fate. "She is absent due to a minor illness. She is still recovering. It would be best not to disturb her, Fukui-san." Gen nodded in understanding. One cannot help to get ill from time to time. “I see.” She was about to wish for Cassiopeia's speedy recovery but Aeon was prepared to leave and she wasn't going to keep him. Gen had fulfilled her obligation and there was work to attend to. "If there is nothing else, I would be excusing myself." She simply nodded about to turn away but her name was unexpectedly called for. "Fukui-san." Once again, her resolve was tested. She was under the impression their business with each other was concluded but apparently that was not yet the case. It was also now that she realized hearing her enemy call her by name left a taste in her mouth. It was bitter and like acid but she faced him anyhow as civility dictates. "If you are fine with it, I would not mind to help you with the activity as a replacement for Cassiopeia.""I would speak with Giou-san. But, I believe he would not mind it."

xxxxGen's eyes narrowed in displeasure but it was fleeting because they are in public. She knew quite well how ecstatic such an offer would be received by anyone else but her for the reasons people admired him were some of the same reasons she despised him so. His indifference, his composure and his posturing only irritated her because of the things he does such as that certain time in the gymnasium that she believes should be rightfully weighing over his head. As if her hatred was not enough, the whispers started and she could feel the words poking her from every corner and angle of the room. Unlike Aeon, such rumors had an effect over her. She was not the Pink Princess and she was the one who personally felt that she had been stolen from as Cassiopeia had become closer with those she cares for over the course of the school year. Such comparison made her feel small and insignificant with her persistent instability with confidence. Plus if there was anything she could be confident in, it would be that she would never be in such a position with Aeon of all people. Their situation was merely coincidence upon coincidence and that one similarity between them of responsibility owed.

xxxxThen the words started to sink beneath her skin and it hurt. The room's eyes staring and the mouths moving around them became an uneasy blur as Gen started to feel more and more insecure. The popularity did not make her feel better. In this case, it made her feel worse and she was forced to endure it with a face that attempted to hide everything she was feeling. They didn't need to know that the Lorelei was a ball of insecurities for that was not the girl they fell in love with on stage. "If you are unwilling, that is fine. Well, then excuse me again, Fukui-san." Gen steadied the pace of her breathing before she finally managed to speak after all the thoughts running through her messy head. She refused to leave the impression that the sociable starlet was made speechless by Aeon's presence. "Thank you for your kind consideration, Belrose-san." She said ambiguously with the simple desire to get away quickly. The attention they had drawn had resurfaced her insecurities and now she had 100 flash cards to worry about that she was also losing confidence in finishing but was too stubborn to admit she may need assistance with. She did say that if Cassiopeia was unreachable, she would handle it and she had every intention of trying the assignment no matter how she feels. English was not a subject she could afford to fail in as it was tied to her life's dream.

xxxxHer shoes moved away but she could barely feel herself moving at all while caught in a daze until a paper plane flashed past right before her eyes. They were being thrown by none other than the other person she did not want to think about, Kazuki. She already knows where she stands with him which is the sidelines after all the instances he had treated her like she was invisible when Fuyuki is near. "So?" She heard his carefree attitude as he continued to be mischievous despite warning. Gen wasn't a class president and was not eager to approach someone who had blatantly ignored her but his behavior was creating some chaos. Kazuki was also noticeably partnered with Tadashi who was a friend of hers that did not look any bit entertained by the antics. It was a time she felt she had to put others before her. Gen approached swiftly just as Kazuki had thrown another paper plane right for Tadashi's forehead. She did not want the two to argue or fight but it was inevitable with the way things were headed. "Are you done?""I don't have all day."

xxxx"Don't have all day for what?~" Gen mustered up her best cheerful tone as she intervened and picked up the paper plane that had hit Tadashi. "100 is a lot to cover. I'm feeling stressed as well." She said to both of them with a smile of encouragement. Instead of reprimanding Kazuki outright, she playfully poked the paper plane against Kazuki's own forehead as if to make what he did to others even. It took a lot of courage to not tremble anxiously as she initiated contact with a hurtful love interest but her experience as a hostess had paid off for the time being. "If you don't have all day, what are you waiting for?" Gen sneakily worded for him to cooperate on the assignment then turned to look at Tadashi briefly to see how he was faring with her intervention. She had focused on Kazuki most as the instigator and to not make it seem as if Tadashi was in need of her help per se. "Ganbatte boys~" Gen wished them the best, returned the paper plane to Kazuki's hand to demonstrate she trusted he would do the right thing before taking her leave and sitting down at a desk to work on the assignment for herself. She had a long way to go if she was to accomplish so much on her own.

Somehow Misaki managed to get into the boy's locker room, and by the grace of God, she managed to get into his locker, get his spare uniform, and get out of the gymnasium undetected. It seemed that at times she could still be invisible if she tried very, very hard. Or maybe it was the male uniform that made her less likely to draw unwanted attention. She would probably never know for sure, but she stood in the hall with sparkling pride, blushing a bit when she snapped out of her triumphant moment. Taking a second to check the time on her phone, her heart stopped, S-Shoot! I wasted a lot of time! Misaki panicked, once again running down the halls. She found herself questioning just how much of her life she spent running from one place to the next. As much as this happened she figured it would have kept her more in shape, but she could hear the words of that annoying physical trainer in her head: Just because it feels like you're constantly on the move, doesn't mean you're exercising enough to actually burn calories effectively. Ugh. He had officially been around long enough that his voice was seared into her brain, just great. As if the potential of facing Ms. Araya wasn't enough to bring her anxiety, he had to be in her head too?

She knew that Yatsuo-san would tell her not to torture herself like this, but she couldn't really help it. When her anxiety began, there really wasn't much she could do for damage control. If she could control the direction of her thoughts so easily she wouldn't end up spacing out at inopportune times, like earlier that day at the pool. If she had that kind of self-control, her life would have been a lot easier. Yatsuo, Kasei had been her personal bodyguard since her first day of Kindergarten. She spent a vast majority of her younger years infatuated with him, or so her mother says, Misaki couldn't remember it at all. She couldn't comprehend a time that she didn't have these feelings, how was she supposed to accept that she wasn't always a Fujoshi?

Stopping just outside the door to the classroom, Misaki wavered. She knew the lecture was coming. It wasn't the first time, but it never seemed to get any easier. This woman absolutely terrified her. She kind of reminded her of her mother in that sense. Stepping inside, the expected response came like clockwork. After what she almost expected to be an unending monologue, Misaki read the board, confident enough that she could get the assignment done. She wasn't the most intelligent in the class, but she didn't get poor grades either. It was always somewhere in the middle, and she was content with that for a while, but perhaps it was finally time to work a little harder now that she was a senior.

Locating Sora wasn't hard with his unique hair color and Misaki neatly placed his uniform on his desk. She could sense there was a moment going on between Sora and Devone, and upon assessing the atmosphere, she wanted no part of it, "I couldn't let you get sick because of me." Misaki made her intentions transparent in a hushed tone. With that said and done, she was already in trouble with the teacher. Lingering wasn't an option and Misaki quickly scurried off to locate and occupy an empty seat before she had Ms. Araya's attention again. Once was plenty, she wasn't itching to tempt a second one on one with the devil lady.

"Excuse me, are you Serinuma Misaki-san?"

The owner of the voice was a face that she did not recognize, which was unusual. Misaki's focus narrowed in on not letting her confusion spread to her facial features. If there was anything that Misaki prided herself on it was that she was fairly good at keeping track of names and faces. Misaki tried her best to quickly flip through mental files of both in her mind, but regardless she came up blank on both ends. Is she one of the new seniors or did I forget her...? Misaki asked herself before glancing at the board again, double-checking the assignment but also the name of her partner. Unfortunately reading the name of her partner again wasn't the magic fix she had been hoping for, it didn't help at all. The only explanation left was that the girl standing before her was apparently someone she had never met before. It seemed they had a handful of new seniors this year, why were so many students transferring in their last year of high school? It seemed kind of odd to her, but she wasn't going to ask to many questions. Actually, a fresh start didn't sound like a terrible thing, now she was feeling kind of envious. "Hai. Are you Hakuryu-san?" Misaki asked blinking a few times. Now that her own question was in the air, she took a moment to look over the other girl. A smile. That was a nice change of pace. A friendly expression that belonged to a girl was a sight for sore eyes after her experiences over the last two days. Getting her notebook and a pen out of her bag, Misaki began to give their assignment some hard thought as she waited for a response. It was going to be difficult to get her head in the game. She was the only girl in the room wearing a male's uniform, she arrived to class very late earning herself detention, it just didn't feel like it was a good stance to be making a first impression, "My uniform got wet in an... unforeseen accident." Misaki explained, in case Fuyuki was wondering. It was difficult to keep herself from rambling now that she was so nervous. Words and phrases that were associated with business meetings... market value, profit, liability, networking, status report... this would be alright, it was a time-consuming endeavor but she was sure that they could handle it. Ushering to the seat beside her, Misaki was eager to begin the task.

Once Kaito's senses reconnected with him, his blue eyes radiated every ounce of his rage that accumulated almost instantaneously. Livid didn't even begin to cover it, not after the day he had. Neglecting to stop and think about his surroundings he knocked away Rocco's hand roughly, getting ahead of himself. For a brief moment, he forgot that his sister was in the room. He was still disoriented from his nap being abruptly interrupted and refused to accept a hand to stand up as he gathered himself up off of the floor on his own. It was only when he made it to his feet that he remembered he was in class. If his sister witnessed this, it likely wouldn't earn him any favor with her, considering her position as a class representative and all. Now that cognitive thinking and a little bit of rational thought had returned, Kaito managed to stand down despite his temptation to say 'fuck it' and do as he pleased. It wasn't easy, every vein in his entire body was practically pumping with adrenaline as he stared down the other boy, his nostrils slightly flaring as he resisted the provocation. Instinct told him to swing. The muscles in his arm twitched, begging to jump into action. It nearly happened, but Kaito managed to make his right arm go rigid, pressing it firmly against his side.

Running his tongue across his teeth and shaking his head with a restrained smile, Kaito was doing his absolute best to maintain control despite Rocco's trying behavior. So far he was doing well, it was the first time he tried so hard to NOT get into a fight, but he wasn't sure if he could maintain it. It was a tough transition, yet he had a reason to make an effort now, "..Another time, count on it." He sneered under his breath, making sure that Rocco knew he was more than happy to pick this up at a later date.

Once he trusted himself enough to let his muscles relax, Kaito shrugged his shoulders letting both of his thumbs rest in his pockets loosely, "But, this assignment doesn't mean much for me, Kusogaki." He shrugged his shoulders casually. It was difficult for him to pretend as if the tension before had not happened at all, but Kaito made sure to give it one hell of an attempt. However, he couldn't stop himself from sharply stating the nickname he had now issued to Rocco, "I'm kind of tired, actually. Luckily I'm not a scholarship student so I don't really have to do anything." He exaggerated a yawn. He wasn't sure where Rocco's stance was on the assignment that was left for them, but considering he bothered to approach at all, it was worth making this a difficult process given his unpleasant method of waking him. Kaito took his seat again, leaning his chin on his palm and that elbow on his desk with an amused grin. He had no intention of being compliant. He came to class, that was progress in its own right if one bothered to compare his attendance at his previous schools.

ImageGuess we'll see if this assignment is a big deal for him or not. This was going to be the only way Kaito could see getting back at Rocco until he came up with something better. He was already juggling ideas, but he wasn't going to commit to one until he found something truly worthwhile to take things up a few notches. Go big or go home, or so they say. Kaito mused to himself. He stole a peek at Akira, biting the inside of his cheek. He hoped she didn't notice, as deluded as that hope might have been. It was a side of him he didn't want her to see, not this early on. It was the most prevalent side of his personality, but he was taking strides to change that, regardless of how ineffectual they may have been it had to count for something, "If I had to make a guess... I'd say, unlike me, Japanese isn't your first language. I hope you studied up before coming here." Kaito teased, stretching his arms above his head with an indifferent yawn. The other boy's name was a pretty good reason to go out on a gamble that he wasn't Japanese, "Otherwise doing this on your own might get tricky~" He added, sticking his tongue out when he returned to his previous position.

Sure, going to sleep on purpose was a shitty thing to do in the first place, but now that the two of them were committed to playing this game of who could be more insufferable, Kaito intended to play to win. Well, without initiating a physical altercation, at least. He was holding back to protect his reputation with Akira, but he wasn't going to lie down and take whatever Rocco was going to dish out either. He simply had to get creative for the time being, They were surrounded by people and that meant his fists were not an option. Even if Akira wasn't present, the grapevine was a pain in the ass. As he looked over the board again, Kaito frowned a bit. People still asked for directions? Wasn't that kind of primitive with how far technology has come? If he wanted to find a restaurant he could just ask Siri. Phones could easily translate these days too, so it was fairly pointless to learn other languages in his opinion. This is a complete waste of our time. I thought this school was top notch? Kaito complained all to himself, looking to the front of the room. All around other students seemed to be more than happy to do this dull scut work. Were they all dropped on their heads as children or were they plain and simple bootlickers? Even if he wasn't trying to drive a point home with Rocco, Kaito genuinely didn't see the value in this assignment. If someone didn't have a phone to look up directions, why was that his problem? He wasn't the type to stop and give directions on the street and he certainly wasn't the type to go out of his way to help others. So why on Earth would he pretend to do so, especially when there was nothing in it for him aside from some good marks on the asinine scoring system created by the faculty? School systems were designed to create obedient factory workers that could follow orders to the letter, not creative minds or innovative thinking. This kind of system did not suit free spirits. It smothered him.

"Yes, I am." Fuyuki was glad that she got that right for the first time. She gazed at Misaki for a bit as she was fascinated by her green eyes. It reminded her of Jay. Is it possible that this girl is a foreigner too? It seemed this school has a lot of them. Then again, it wasn't surprising since Airdalen caters to the international community. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Serinuma-san." She offered her hand for a handshake. "You could call me, Fuyu." She then noted that Misaki was in a male uniform. She was sure that an interesting story was behind that. Misaki seemed to notice her curious gaze and explained that her uniform got wet.

"Oh! Are you all right then?" Fuyuki took the vacant seat beside Misaki. "If you feel unwell, you could excuse yourself okay? I would not mind, health is wealth." She offered with a friendly smile. "It is a good thing that boys in this school are quite the gentlemen, aren't they?" Her acacia-colored eyes revealed nothing, but a sincere observation. She then looked back at the board. Well, it should not be that difficult. English might not be her mother language, but it was essential in those social functions with foreign diplomats. That reminds her, "Serinuma-san, do you have foreign blood?"

Fuyuki gazed at Misaki with that big-eyed innocent radiance of curiosity and excitement. "You have lovely green eyes. It's a shade similar to Jay-chan." She gave a bright smile and then placed her notebook and pen on the desk. She could feel eyes on her form and she has a good idea to whom it belonged to. But, the things she did in the past must continue to play out. The dice that had been cast has yet to stop rolling until now. She has no intentions of intervening with it. She knew well that she was being unfair not only to J, but to everyone else.

"Otsukare sama desu." Fuyuki wrote it down. "That means, good work." She wrote it down with confidence. "Keiri." She busied herself in writing down the words and phrases that pops into her head. "That's accounting." There was not a sign of oddity about her as she continued on. "If we keep this up, I'm sure we'll be finish soon, Serinuma-san." She then had a friendly smile on her face. "We're partners, so please rely on me if you need any help." She then continued on with the work.

But, it would be wrong to assume that Fuyuki is not paying attention to what was happening around her. She is incredibly sensitive and aware of what goes around the vicinity near her. She simply acts as if it never reaches her. In the place, she had been born to. The duty she had been chained to. It had crafted her into this 'Fuyuki' they all see. The things she does. The words she says. The feelings she portrays. All of them constantly haunt her, but she had chosen a path and with her stubbornness, there was no turning back. That is how it is.

Acacia-hued eyes briefly glanced to where J is. Fuyuki saw him with Shi and Gen. He wasn't looking and that was a good thing. She knew he was acting out and making mischief. But, it is not her place to stop him. Without anyone noticing, she returned to her work. She won't deny the sadness inside of her or the consistent gnawing in her very soul. There was not a day or moment that she ever forgot such emotion. But as always, nothing surfaced at all. No one could tell any difference,. Her presence remained casually friendly. Her eyes showed carefree cheer. There was nothing different. Nothing as the sound of bells tinkled around her.

“..Arigato... There's no need for that though, I'm okay I think. I'm honored to have such a competent Kouhai.” Rhys looked the other way because he disagreed. He didn't see himself as a competent kouhai to end up stuck with. Since the beginning, there were problems with students judging him and there had been misunderstanding upon misunderstandings. The only reassurance he had about being competent was becoming captain of Airdalen's swim team but he had to earn their respect first. “Hai, Hai. Tou-san." Rhys' form tensed immediately as his mind went down the gutter. Tou-san?! He turned around but Shiori was already leaving to class. He clasped his hand over his mouth and as the fingers slipped off, chuckled and shook his head. He knew Shiori enough to deduce she wasn't thinking what he was just thinking. It must have been an innocent joke for lecturing her so he shrugged it off. It wasn't a problem as no one overheard and the joke could stay between them but it got him thinking. That girl.. she's going to lead guys on if she's not careful.

He showed up late but English class turned out to be unsupervised. Standing in the doorway, he paused and glanced at the board to read the lesson plan. He was paired with Mao from his swim team to design some cards that would come in handy for tourists. He wished he had some cards a year ago when he was tricked into modelling. He sat down next to her toward the back of the classroom and kicked his bag underneath the desk, out of the way. "Hey Nozomi-san. Sorry I'm late." He greeted quickly, ready to buckle down and get to work. He came to Japan to study and his grades mattered if he wanted to stay. Spinning a pen in hand, he leaned over closing the gap between them to read her bullet points on paper.

Possible Important Locations:
• General store
• Hospital
• ATM

A rare sentimental smile crossed his features as he remembered meeting Gen for the first time at a general store before running into her again at the Nightingale bar when he was feeling homesick. He had some memories at the hospital too involving his Congenital Analgesia. Nothing too serious and the nurses were nicer than the ones back home. ATMs in Japan were a nightmare to use but he eventually got used to it. His smile faded gradually sensing someone else looking over. He turned and recognized the other junior, Chase from the evacuation who was staring at Mao with his textbook the wrong way around. Hm.. Rhys' brown eyes settled on Mao wondering if she noticed it before he clicked his pen and added to the brainstorm notes.
• Restroom
• Landmarks
• Transport

Rhys cleared his throat and continued spinning his pen again. "Do you guys need a moment?" He asked. It wasn't his business but if they needed to talk, he didn't mind and best to get it over with. They could focus on the assignment afterwards and it was doubtful they'd finish all in just one sitting. He ran his other hand's fingers through his hair as he tried to remember more about his time adjusting to Japan. He wasn't confident in his studies yet especially writing in Japanese but at least he had the experiences relevant to the activity.

It was a relief to see that Rhys was coming to class after all. Doing this on her own was a snail's pace, so hopefully, two heads really would be better than one. Mao stretched her arms in front of her as he settled in, preparing to dive into the assignment. Now that he was here the real work could begin. Well, it probably could have even without him, but she wasn't very studious and she didn't realize she would have to write about her vacations when she went on them so she didn't really pay much attention to the intricacies of being a tourist. Figures that now I'm going to get graded on it I can't remember it that well... This is not the time for my brain to play tricks like this!

"Hey Nozomi-san. Sorry I'm late."

Acknowledging that she didn't even make it to class at all the day before, Mao couldn't really judge him for showing up late, "It's no big deal, Captain." Mao responded with a casual shrug of her shoulders. Going to school didn't actually score very high on her priorities list, but she was just doing her best to appease her parents. She couldn't have them monitoring her so it was beneficial to give in to their wishes every now and then, even if it proved to be a total pain in the ass on days like this. Mao continued to rack her brain for ideas. She was a tourist each summer in Africa, but the countries were very different. There would always be basic similarities, but she didn't have a lot to go on despite her personal experiences with traveling. Her parents typically handled all of the technical details of their vacations, she never had to put any thought into it before. When Rhys got closer, Mao blinked a bit with a faint blush, but she didn't shrink away. He had a lot of physical similarities to Chase now that she got a good look, but there were differences as well that were noticeable in close proximity. First and foremost, his eye color couldn't have been further from that increasingly familiar and prominent blue, eyes that she was completely unaware were focused on her. Aside from that, there was a sharp contrast in their demeanors as well. Though their mutual proclivity for invading personal space is uncanny... Comparing the smile on his face as he read her list to the expressions she saw during swim practice, Mao couldn't help smiling as well. It suited his face much better, but she'd keep that opinion to herself.

"Do you guys need a moment?"

"Huh?" Mao was baffled by what he meant until she looked around the room, surprise washing over her when she caught Chase looking at her. Her blood ran cold upon realizing that is who Rhys meant. Gesturing with her finger for Chase to flip his book right side up, Mao nudged Rhys' shoulder with her own discreetly, "No way." She quietly but firmly rejected the idea. They spent quite a bit of time together already. She needed to focus on her classes and more importantly, she needed to get him out of her head, I'm not going to get sidetracked because of a boy. Mao assured herself. Letting him become friends with her would be a bad idea. Getting caught up with a guy like him would only prove to distract her, and it would reflect poorly on not only herself but also those around her if she ended up caught because she wasn't centered on her goal. If was publicly outed as Zen it wouldn't really bother her friends outside of school. They had the same hobbies as she did, so they'd survive being associated with a rather infamous graffiti artist. She could feel warmth rising to her cheeks, but she concentrated on reading what Rhys had to add to the homework, "Boys who are late to class should focus on words to add. If you laugh I'll shove you out of your chair, Captain or not." She made a lighthearted point despite the slight mumble of her voice as she added the word 'beach' to paper. She didn't hold the question against him, but bringing it to her attention led to her embarrassment and she didn't handle getting embarrassed in the typical 'cute' way that other girls did. It was uncomfortable and she always panicked, it didn't happen enough for her to get used to it. Mao didn't like being the center of attention and knowing that Chase was staring at her for an unperceived amount of time rattled her.

Putting her game face back on, Mao began to twirl strands of black hair around her finger, "Jeez, we are behind on this..." She noted as she looked up to see that a majority of the class seemed to have their pens and pencils to the paper consistently. There was also the fact that she was now efficiently blocked on ideas. Not only did she struggle to write words in English, phrases were nearly impossible for the habitual slacker. She was beginning to regret spending so much time goofing off the years before, it was kind of embarrassing how inept she was. She felt like she would, unfortunately, end up being deadweight. Tapping her pencil against the desk Mao decided to spend their time at least productively, "I'm not good at writing in English and I don't really know a lot about being a tourist. My parents always handled everything, so I'm apologizing in advance." Mao divulged, figuring it would be better to be honest than to come across as lazy. It would help to avoid misunderstanding later on, especially if they ended up racing the clock to get this finished. She wanted to help as much as she could, but it was struggling to filter through her brain for anything relevant. Most of her time in Africa was spent goofing off with her cousin.

Looking at her phone to check the time, Mao felt a bit discouraged, "Should we trade contact information in case we have to finish this after school?" She asked curiously, not recognizing that it was considered a bold move to ask a boy for their email or phone number. She spent a majority of her time hanging out with guys outside of school and none of them ever bothered to flirt with her, and Mao really didn't have a solid grasp on the concept of it either. She never tried it before so she was unaware that her question could be perceived as such by those around them. If she knew it could be misunderstood, she might have made an attempt to stifle her tone a little.

The look on his face. Rocco smirked smugly the whole time and Kaito's rough refusal of a helping hand and seething didn't change that. He expected as much and it was worth it. Kaito looked ready to go at it as far as Rocco could tell but something held him back. "..Another time, count on it." Rocco heard him say under his breath but he was curious what was stopping him from getting into it right that second. There were no teachers present and the class presidents didn't strike him as intimidating enough. Injury? Lasting impressions? Doesn't stand a chance? Rocco brushed a thumb over his smirk as he thought the reasons over. "You inviting me to an after school beatdown? Fun. Just don't get my hopes up and be a no show." He set a time and made it sound like a picnic in the park he was looking forward to. His tone was so playful though that it was hard to tell if he was being serious or not. It was up to Kaito in the end to confirm it as the real deal or not. Rocco surely wasn't backing down if he asked for it. He already participated in torturing a man but what Kaito doesn't know, can't hurt him...

"But, this assignment doesn't mean much for me, Kusogaki." As soon as he got that sentence, he didn't need to hear out the rest. Kaito wasn't interested in working on the assignment and Rocco expected that too when he went to Akira. The nickname wasn't a big deal either. He called Kaito by Dopey ever since that Tag Rugby game and it couldn't hurt more than Dopey's ass did when it hit the ground. It was fair and deserved and if he was being completely honest with himself? He was a Kusogaki. "I'm kind of tired, actually. Luckily I'm not a scholarship student so I don't really have to do anything." Rocco took out his phone and started browsing through as Kaito returned to his seat and continued with a fake yawn and all. His 'partner' wasn't helping so whatever he had to say wasn't going to be worth listening to. "I'm bored :( You're lucky to have a cute and smart partner." Rocco sent the text message to Kaori while drowning out Kaito's talking that was just more or less the same point of not helping.

Done, he shrugged his shoulders and put his hands behind his head while still holding his phone in case she texted back. "In summary, blah, blah, blah.. I'm too dopey for this assignment." Rocco closed his eyes and sighed aloud, feigning disappointment. He did hear bits and pieces like how Japanese wasn't his first language but he wasn't worried. He'd gone through a lot that one assignment wasn't going to stress him out. Once he puts his mind to something, he gets it done otherwise he wouldn't be here at all. "Paying keeps you in the school but doesn't keep you from repeating grade but hey, if you want to be stuck here then you do you dude." Rocco didn't want that for himself so he was just putting it out there and that was as nice as it was going to get. It wasn't his usual way to let things be but he didn't have high hopes that Kaito would be helpful even if he got him to work on it so it was easy to move on and find another group to tag along with. And one with a girl. Darn luck.

Rocco walked around the classroom until he found Kei, the one guy he did get along with and as a bonus, whose partner was a girl. "What kind of questions....?" He sat down next to her (Tsukiko) with a smile and friendly wave to the two of them. "Just crashing the party." he joked then leaned back in his new seat, leaving his phone face up on top of his desk, locked and set on vibrate. He wasn't sure if Kaori would even see the text message during class time but he was keeping himself entertained either way. "How about.. where's the nearest hotel?" he said suggestively, kicking back.

What a train wreck, Bishop listened a bit more on edge than what warranted for the situation. Johnny laughed and he gave a curious look, instinctively checking himself but then realized it wasn't him. He was over reacting probably and sighed. “I just helped someone get to the park, N-B-D.” 'NBD', that made him chuckle himself. Not many people actually spoke like that, even in English so it was funny. "Well at least you helped some people. Not everyone does that."

Staying busy with class work, Bishop continued on with the list of important words to know for a tourist.

"Chin up my friend." With a hand on his back, the blonde looked up to his fellow exchange student with a curious expression. “I think it’d be strange if a first week at school turned out perfect, you know? I know I’ve done some dumb-ass things this week. You just gotta hold your head high and keep moving forward.” There was a pause. How did he know? Did he know? For several moments Bishop sat there unsure as what to say. "H-Hai.... Thanks. Johnny. Turning to look at his desk he sighed, then glanced to the clock to see what time it was. It was then he remembered that he was going to introduce his senior (Fuyuki) to his parents. <One thing at a time...>

Bishop would glance around the class to just see if anyone else was watching him. Not that he expected anyone to, he was hardly anything to notice or be deemed as important in school. If nothing caught his eye, he'd get back to work being more involved now and helping Johnny with some of the words or phrases that he knew and Johnny didn't. And for whatever they didn't know, they referred to their dictionaries.

Both seniors broke their gaze as Misaki approached and placed a uniform set on Sora's desk. "I couldn't let you get sick because of me." The cyan-haired boy was visibly surprised by the gesture because she had arrived to class late for that reason on his behalf. Valuing his punctuality to lessons and understanding that the English teacher was a strict one, made her cause more appreciated. His slender fingers pinched the folds of cloth as she turned away to locate her partner for the assignment. He didn't get a chance to say thank you because he was slowly processing the kind action shown towards his well being. It didn't bother him that she had rummaged through his locker. It was a very ordinary locker that only contained what was necessary and held no valuables. He also would have offered the same uniform to her in the end if Aeon had not supplied one.

Devone watched the event unfold and crossed her arms and legs. She still remembered that the yearbooks earlier had mysteriously scratched out Misaki but didn't know why that was. It was really strange. If it was a case of bullying, Devone would already know about it as an individual who doesn't quite fit in as well. She wanted to get to the bottom of it for the sake of her own curiosity and as possible leverage in the future. "Go ahead and get changed. It's not like this assignment is getting anywhere." she said in a frustrated tone but glad there was a reason now to be rid of him that would give her space to breathe. They were similar as much as she wanted to reject the idea. They were both outcasts set in their ways but such a similarity would only make them clash over and over again.

Sora stood up then looked at the clock on the wall, roughly calculating the realistic amount of time it would take for him to get changed and travel the distance to the nearest bathroom and back. It was insufficient as class was drawing to a close soon and he'd be slower with the injuries he sustained. He looked at Devone as he thought about what course of action to take. She was a difficult assignment partner but he has a responsibility to do the assignment as per the teacher's request. His grade and eventual future outcome depended on it and he had not stumbled academically thus far. "I will but you are right. This assignment isn't getting anywhere at this rate." he admitted and offered a compromise. "We can negotiate the terms of this partnership. I suggest you be the one to write the list of sentences used in a business meeting as your area of expertise in your language of preference. Then I will take over, translate to the other language and design and supply the cards for submission."

It wasn't a bad deal. As a daughter of the Kim family, she did attend meetings and it would be as simple as scribbling down what their business partners said word by word or generalising it for anyone's usage. Knowing how tediously long one meeting could run for, 100 sentences was very achievable. The only problem was Devone didn't like accepting deals, she liked making deals. That difference alone made her refuse. "I decline." Her brown-red eyes looked up and challenged the class president's authority. She wasn't going to bow down to the likes of him and accepting even a reasonable offer from him would be that blow to her reputation.. that Ursula was wrapped around the nerdy class president's finger. Such a rumor would make her puke. "You achieve impressive grades on your own.. unless, you are questioning your ability to get this done?" She attacked his confidence in his intellectual ability. It was the first English assignment for the semester and so it was one of the easiest, only increasing in difficulty up to the end of their senior year.

Sora's bangs fell over his face as the bell rang for class dismissal and Devone rose from her seat. They still hadn't managed to reach a mutual understanding of how the assignment would proceed. Devone hooked the strap of her bag over her shoulder and was ready to leave and consider the school day concluded. She didn't have any Friday afternoon clubs to attend to and she still had matters of her own to settle. The assignment was her lowest priority and she was sure Sora would rather do the assignment by himself than let them both receive a failing grade. What Devone didn't consider was how unpredictable Sora could be as he grabbed hold of her hand. He didn't doubt that he could do the assignment on his own. The problem was the assignment wasn't meant to be done on his own. There were rules. "Class may be over but we're not done." He said firmly and started to walk for the door. Devone was shocked and tried to pry him off but the hold was as firm as his words. She'd never had this problem before but today, it seemed people weren't as intimidated as they used to be. First the pot throwing and now this? Was she losing respect? "Harigae-san.. baka! Let me go!" She was embarrassed as other students took notice of them and started making fun of the situation. She wanted to die instead of hear another word of it or better yet, kill him.

As it would be expected, there were no problems between Aeon and Giou as they finished the assignment in a very efficient manner. They cooperated seamlessly that one would be reminded of the gymnasium incident. People wondered if the two boys were close friends that they appeared to be in synchronize of what must be done with just a few words. Then again, they barely see or converse with each other. Even if they were in the same room, they would not even acknowledge each other without purpose. And yet, they had uncanny similarities to each other. It was a peculiarity that never had a definite answer and no one dared to inquire about it personally.

In any case, Aeon gathered the 100 flashcards. "We are done, Giou-san." It was not surprising as he and Giou had cohesively did what is required of them both without a falter. There was also no need for revisions from his side when it comes to the the English translation since it was well done. He was aware that the Basketball Captain was born and raised in America, so when it comes to fluency Giou would do quite well. "I will submit this for us." He stood from his seat and was satisfied with how the assignment had proceeded for him and Giou. They were not the kind who wanted to waste time on trivial things, so they finished it swiftly and right. "You did good. I appreciate your cooperation, Giou-san." Once that was said, he made his way to the teacher where he submitted their work.

Like any opportune moment, the class bell rang for its dismissal. Aeon does not have any after school activities, however he would need to inform his club that he would be able to attend due to Fukui's arrangements. His next destination was Miyano's classroom for them to briefly discuss the responsibilities he had given due to his presumed absence. As he exited through the door, he noticed a commotion which seemed to involve Harigae and Kim. In the given scenario, he had no reason to intervene. Still, it would not be nice to drag an unwilling lady anywhere from the looks of it. That does not go well with his sphere of morality. But before he could do anything, he had seen someone else settle the situation. Since that was the case, he had chosen to let them handle it among themselves.

Aeon proceeded to Miyano's classroom. When that matter was settled, he had decided to go to the hospital. It had been arranged that Cassiopeia would be discharged this evening. He had received a call from Hotaru beforehand. After that, he had made his own calls to ensure the Cassiopeia's health. There were also requests to furnish him with the medical results. It was said that she was stable enough, but that is within a controlled environment like the hospital. There was no reassurance she would remain so, without proper care outside. As usual, it was heavily implied to have her stay in the hospital where it is safe. The only problem, she does not want to and he would always abide by her wish.

Tomorrow, Cassiopeia would meet with that person. Aeon, on the other hand, would be visiting his younger brother. Rando had informed him that Brinx was looking forward to it. His Father was currently overseas for a business matter and the ones left at the main estate were his little brother and stepsister. If that was the case, the visit should not be overly troublesome. Still though, he would keep his phone ready for the green-haired princess. After all, she would be in a rather sentimental meeting and whether she would be able to handle whatever reticent emotions she has is yet to be seen. He could only assume that everything would just be fine. In any case, he set his thoughts aside for now.

Once the car had arrived, Aeon left the school's premises without looking back. Inside, he looked at his cast arm. It was still not completely healed. After all, it had only been two days since the incident. However, he did not want Cassiopeia to see him in such a state. It would simply cause unnecessary concern from her part. He had enough of that at Airdalen. That is why when he visits her he removes the cast for her not to see which he does so. It would not be notable if he has his right arm hang by his side and he wore a long-sleeved shirt to cover its state. As for pain whenever he moves it a bit to complete an illusion of being fine, it was tolerable.

That is when upon Aeon's arrival at the hospital. He was a vision of someone uninjured in anyway. However, he did not go straight to Cassiopeia's room. His first destination was to the doctor. There were matters that cannot be discussed over the phone. He needed that settled. Only when the dialogue was done did he proceed to see the Argryis Princess. He knocked upon the door before announcing himself. "Cassiopeia. It is Aeon." Behind the door, when it was announced he could enter, only then he did so. There he saw Hotaru standing attentively beside Cassiopeia. His face did not reveal any of his thoughts as always, but his mind jumped to various things.

Cassiopeia's delicate frame seemed to have gotten frailer. Her pale skin increased a bit in the gradient scale, but the soft pink taint provided the illusion she was fine. People could assume it was just her getting paler due to being cooped up for some time and not receiving enough sun. Yet, her smile and shine on her eyes relate she was completely fine. As if, everything happening was just completely right and fine. It could not be help then that he sees this girl incredibly beautiful. After all, what could you call a person who accepted the failings of her own body with smile and grace. "Everything has been cleared. We can go now, Cassiopeia."

"It's said that this emptiness I have
is a scary thing, because when it is filled
that would be the key to have me move
and make sure that I will always be filled
that's because I cannot be empty again
and that's scary for the one who filled me."
================================

Ryou did what he was told by Belrose. He didn't mind doing what someone says as long as it is reasonable and has something to do with the activity. The arrangement was also agreeable and the synergy between them as partners was as always all business without the excess baggage of anything. This kind of relationship was the most comfortable for him. There were no complicated factors, just do this and be done with it. No attachments.

That is why the assignment was finished. Belrose then offered a few words of appreciation, "Okay. Thanks.", before letting the school idol turned it over to the teacher. The bell rang afterwards informing that school was done. He stood from his seat and had a brief thought about Argyris. He was advised to see her when she comes back. It should be proper to give her a gift. He would need to ask her cousins later what do girls like these days. It seemed out of place, but he sensed something with Belrose's words. He did say that she is a...friend.

That should be enough on Ryou's part though. He ended that brief thought and was about to make his exit when he saw a scene, he could not just walked away from. It was quick for him to catch up with his long legs as the distance was compensated. His hand found its way on his fellow senior's wrist. "Let her go, Harigae-san." His silver eyes were clear and did not held the grave threat that usually present when... "Kim-san told you to release her." But, he was serious in his words as his grip on Harigae's wrist tightened to demonstrate his intentions.

The usual Ryou would have ignored this entirely and would not feel any sense of guilt from it. He is not chivalrous to people who he does not have a sense of responsibility over. That has changed now, because Kim is his responsibility, they had a blood pact. They are allies. This was also different from the rest of the interactions he had seen her with which he could just let it play to her devices. He would not get involved. This moment, she was flustered and he could hear the people quick to make jabs at her.

"Do it." Ryou's voice did not betray his seriousness as well. His silver eyes gazed at Harigae. He has nothing against the blue-haired senior. He is aware of Harigae's trait of having metaphors go over the his head or the fact he takes almost everything happening too literally or speaking tactlessly. It was not hard not to know since their peers like gossiping. He is also aware there must be a reason for the guy's action, but he does not care at all on whatever it could be. That could be saving the world or something menial like buying bagels. Whatever it is, that does not mean a thing to him.

What matters to Ryou is what Kim wants and she had said that clear enough for him to hear. It had already been quite among the hot topics of how the adored loner and the detested witch became suddenly close without anyone noticing it. There is also the clear protectiveness he displays with her. That is why people are aware that this could go wrong with one move. His eyes never leaving Harigae or did he allow the guy move an inch with Kim in tow. That should not be hard comparing Harigae's strength to his strength. His body had positioned itself between Harigae and Kim, his body language clearly states that he would protect Ursula. "Now."

Imagexxx"Aeon!" Cassiopeia stood up like an excited puppy seeing its master as she happily threw herself in Aeon's arms. Hotaru could only sigh as she just finished an hour of reminding her ward to mind her health by not overexerting. But, there her ward goes completely forgetting of not still being fully recovered. But, she can't blame the younger girl for her excitement. Her ward was to be released and return to the normal high school life desired for. "Ahoy matey! Ahoy Aeon matey!" Clio rolled on the bed with its metal ears flapping.

xxx"Is is true? We can go now?" Cassiopeia's arms were around Aeon's waist as she looked up to him. Her rose pink eyes shimmer with delight and was similar to a child being given a treasured promise. "Yes." He looked down at her with notable gentleness and after a while, he placed his left hand on her shoulder. "We should go now, before it gets too late." A gentle nudge for her to let him go, he had always been mindful of a proper gentleman's conduct towards a lady.

xxx"Master Aeon has just said that. There should be no doubt, Elle." Hotaru picked Clio from the bed. "Now, settle down. Don't bother Master Aeon too much." It was only then Cassiopeia released Aeon and smiled brightly. "I was just so happy!" She knew he will always be a gentleman and he was well-aware of her non-existent sense of private space. But, that was something he will always accept from her. "It is fine." He then properly faced the other occupants of the room. "Hotaru. Clio. Excuse my late greetings." Hotaru offered a perfected half bow as a response, "It is of no consequence Master Aeon." Clio flapped its ears in response, "Clio Ahoy Matey Aeon! Clio greets Matey!"

xxxThe small talk was soon done and they were eventually ushered to the awaiting car outside of the hospital with Hotaru as the driver. They were soon on their way back to the Argyris Villa. "May I request something?" Cassiopeia asked as they were midway to their destination, Clio which was rolling on her lap suddenly went still. Hotaru looked at the rear-view mirror awaiting for her ward's next words. Aeon was in the same position as he looked at her who sat beside him. "Please take me to the nearest beach." Hotaru was quick to reject it. "No. You have just been released from the hospital. You might be stable now, but it is a fact your body is still not well enough." Refusal was clear in her eyes as seen through the rear-view mirror. "It would soon be evening and cold breeze won't be good for you at all."

xxxCassiopeia lowered her head where her fringe covered her eyes from view. But, her grip on Clio tightened as its eyes blinked red. "Hotaru, take us to the nearest beach." She raised her head in surprise as she looked at Aeon whose pristine mask never cracked. "But, Master Aeon!" Hotaru showed her disagreement. He understood that refusing was the best option, but that is not on the table at the moment. "I will take responsibility." Those words meant that the discussion was over and she reluctantly complied. "Understood, Master Aeon." Cassiopeia looked at Clio on her lap as she softly spoke. "Sorry and thank you." Still, it was heard clearly by the other people inside the car.

xxxBy the time they arrived, the moon was clearly up on the sky. Cassiopeia was by the shore with a coat courtesy by Hotaru hanging around her shoulders. Her green hair shone like emerald under the moon's light as they were played by the fluttering breeze. Her rose pink eyes shared the sparkle of gemstones as it looked at the distant horizon. Clio rolled itself around her feet, enjoying the sand it seems. "I'll be seeing him finally." Her voice was soft, but the slow rolling of waves was not enough to drown it. "I feel sad... scared... excited... and glad." She took a deep breath and released it with a huge sigh. "But, that should be fine." She turned around to face Aeon who was standing nearby. "Thank you for always granting my selfish requests."
Image
xxx"I will grant them always." Aeon responded as he admired Cassiopeia's silhouette illuminated by the moon. She looked like a sea fairy from where he is standing. "If you require my presence, you can call me anytime." He had told her earlier that he would be visiting Brinx tomorrow. She nodded in understanding as she looked at the sky. There were just a few stars present. Silence reigned between them before he spoke again. "Kitogawa-san sends her regards."

xxx"Oh?" Cassiopeia slowly smiled. "That is very kind of her." Aeon agrees with that even if it was just done out of propriety. "Giou-san as well." She held an expression of surprise and then lightly giggled before having a sad smile. "I see. I made people worry." He walked towards her as he reached out his left hand to her. "Just come to class and smile. That is enough." She released a small sigh and helplessly smile at him. "You really are a smooth talker."

xxx"I see." Aeon was completely indifferent about that comment. Cassiopeia grabbed hold of his offered hand. The warmth emitting from his hand was really comforting. She was really fortunate to have such a beautiful man by her side. "Some girls would hate you for it." He considered her words for a moment. "Is that one of the reasons Fukui-san dislikes me?" She froze at that question before laughing loudly even Clio join in its own way by jumping up and down with its ears flapping energetically. "I don't know, but could be. Then again, are you worried about her disliking you?" She probed him with a curious smile and glint in her eye after her laughter settled down. It is very rare for him to even mentioned someone's name unless without a professional reason so to speak or even ask a question of sentiment. That's why she found it interesting. "No. We should go." He ended the conversation with that.

xxxCassiopeia shook her head with an awkward smile. "Okay, let's go home." Aeon escorted her back to the car where Hotaru waited for them. He never let go of her hand until she was safely back inside the car. Then, they left the beach, but on the way, "Call Fukui-san when you are free and feeling fine. There is an assignment for English class. She is your partner." She released a longer sigh this time and then lifted Clio to be at level with her face. "And what is this about him saying no." Clio's eyes blinked red and responded, "Clio says no! Clio says yes! Clio dunno matey!" He did not respond to that and simply as usual kept his silence in his indifferent way. She on the other hand smiled knowingly.

It was embarrassing but a majority of the work was passed off on Yuuki. Kaori was able to do a few things here and there, adding a few words like 'Bus Stop' and 'Train Station', but overall her role anything special. She felt like she was essentially little more than dead weight that Yuuki was dragging through to the finish line. While she knew that she had always been like this, often flirting at her old school to charm boys into doing the work for her. It wasn't like that now, she couldn't bring herself to manipulate people the same way that she did in the past, not after she experienced her first real humiliation, and it seemed that when her life went awry, it went for the gold medal. Though she knew some good came from her traumatizing experience, she wasn't the same selfish and cruel person that she used to be. If a fall from grace was what it took for her to wake up and realize that she had a lot of growing to do as a human being, Kaori could accept that. What she couldn't accept is that Kei was trying to get back into her life with some lame apology. One good taste of her own medicine was all it really took for Kaori to realize that the person she used to be was not someone she was interested in becoming again, but even so, what Kei did was unforgivable. It was far worse than anything she had ever done to anyone. None of those things ended up online. It wasn't fair to hold that against him as he wasn't the one who posted it to the internet or even recorded the video, but Kaori couldn't get past the grudge to see that. She hadn't evolved enough to accept that, she had a long way to go before she'd even consider revisiting the idea of friendship with Kei.

Yuuki's attention shifted when she heard the commotion in the back of the room, her brow quirking as she looked over her shoulder, writing down Kaito's and Rocco's names at the bottom of the list, right under that of the disruptive girls from earlier. She would leave things up to Akira on how to correct Rocco this time and she would handle the other one. It would work out better that way. She knew Akira could handle taking a hit after what happened in the gym, he may have been small for a guy, but he was resilient. She didn't feel that she would have to worry about pawning Rocco off on him, not too much anyway. Returning her attention to the flash cards, Yuuki let it go for now. It could be handled later when other students were not concentrated on getting the assignment done. Doing something at that moment would only lead to further disruption. It wasn't a full-fledged fight, so it probably didn't warrant reprimanding either boy at that exact moment. Further disruption and unrest would only make it harder for anyone to get work done. I'm not going to grace the disturbance with a reaction, it only feeds the problem. We will handle it swiftly, come Monday. I have responsibilities after class with the Airdalen Overachiever's Committee.

Giggling when she noticed that Yuuki had shifted into class president mode, Kaori kept writing the Japanese translations, only to have Yuuki crumple up any that were incorrect, which was quite a few of them. It was a huge waste of paper living up to the class president's view of expectation, but she felt she would make the other girl even more irritated if she gave up. Her effort was being received as well as she could hope, even if having her work end up for naught most of the time was annoying. At least she wasn't getting yelled at or ridiculed. Her phone vibrating in her pocket took her by surprise, her blood running cold for a moment. Kaori was hesitant to retrieve it from her pocket to see who sent her a message. She nearly dared not read it at all. It wasn't often that anyone texted her in class these days, the only person who had her number at this school was Rocco, and she wasn't expecting a message from him. After what happened at her last school Kaori had to block most of her old friends and even change her number. The last number was flooded with daily messages, each one just as cruel as the last.

"I'm bored :( You're lucky to have a cute and smart partner."

Turning to look in his direction, Kaori stuck her tongue out discreetly, only for a moment. Though she was determined not to get distracted in class, so she only wrote a quick reply: "It's called Karma, and it's pronounced Ha-Ha-Ha~~~♥♥♥ ;P Kaori replied, adding the heart and the emoji to express her usual playful nature, but also the amusement she felt knowing he wasn't happy with the cards he had been dealt. Though shortly after she returned to work with Yuuki, the bell rang.

The violet-haired girl was the first to stand, quickly gathering the materials, "Thank you for your help, I will finish the rest on my own from here." Yuuki informed her. She planned to double check over every single answer to make sure that the other girl wouldn't be able to damage her grade, but she wasn't going to divulge that information aloud, it was unnecessary. Gathering her things she immediately made a beeline for the exit. She needed to get to the library as soon as possible. Somehow she managed to get voted as the president for the after school studying club, AOC, the Airdalen Overachiever's Committee even though she was just a freshman. It was a lot of pressure, there were a lot of topics she never had to study before that she was sure seniors were working on, but she hoped it would be okay. Looking over the roster of the club, Yuuki absentmindedly waved her hand in no real direction, " Osaki ni shitsurei shimasu, Himewari-san. ( Excuse me for leaving first, Himewari-san) " and with that Yuuki kept a brisk pace, wasting no time to leave the classroom. Getting out into the hall before any disruptions could hold her up, Yuuki was determined to get a handle on her first club day. I'm not going to fail at this too. By the time she made it to the library, Yuuki was mentally prepared to take on any task at hand, even if it meant she would have to teach herself the topic to help others. Sitting down she began reading over her cram school packet, going over the math, taking a break from French. Should I bite the bullet and accept Belrose-Senpai's help...? Even though he already offered his help...is that too much to ask of him..? she thought staring at her phone that laid on the desk. She wasn't getting a good headstart on her foreign language. A few hours studying at the school and she could go home, but she doubted she would get any sleep knowing that she would be leaving on a trip with a certain delinquent that she wasn't on the best of terms with, for the vast majority of their first weekend since school began. All that kept her going was reminding herself that it was for her father.

" Ki wo tsukete, Kaichou! (Take care, president!) " Kaori responded cheerfully before moving her belongings into her bag. She didn't have any club activities so it seemed she would be able to go home and get some much-needed rest, or not. She still had to figure out what to get her 'boyfriend' for Christmas. Faking a relationship was hard enough, but being unlucky enough to draw the name of the person she was pretending to date was just the world being sadistic. Kaori didn't wait to be caught up in more of his antics, if she was quick to make her escape from the building she was confident she wouldn't have any interaction with the senior that got her in this mess anyway, but she also was thirsty and wanted to walk and get a milk from the convenience store without an escort. She already told her father to meet her there earlier that morning so it was all in order and she didn't intend to lie to him as well. Kaori didn't manage to fully relax until she purchased a small milk carton and gulped down a generous amount. She made it to the store down the street, she actually made it out of the building and down the street on her own without becoming a damsel in distress again. Two years ago thoughts like that would have never crossed her mind, back then she was hardly ever alone, but now, it felt like she had no one truly in her corner. Even Tou-san felt the need to adopt new kids... I'm not even enough for him anymore... Kaori thought to herself with a sigh.

Image

When her father picked her up, he was unfortunately subjected to many more noises in that category, but no greeting whatsoever. The entire time she stared at her phone, using his data plan, looking up Christmas gift ideas, "Secret Santa?" Takuto Himewari asked his daughter with a curious quirk of his brow, but only was answered with a nod. He glanced to see her face light up and return to a hopeless and depressed state many times throughout the car ride and as much as he loved her, he didn't anticipate hearing her gasp, incoherently mumble, and then groan the entire way home. It was testing even his patience and he liked to consider himself as a 'cool' dad. He wanted to be someone she could turn to if she had questions, raising a teenage girl alone... he had to be approachable enough or she might put herself at risk. He constantly worried he wasn't doing this parenting thing right, but he had an idea that could make it all better, he just needed to know the gender.

Once they made it home and she finally wandered off to the bathroom, Takuto picked up her phone and began snooping. It was wrong, it was a total invasion of her privacy, but if she sighed one more time he'd go mad. He had a meeting soon he would have to conduct over Skype and he did not want to lose his mind before then. Looking at her google searches he discerned the gift was for a boy and all of the searches seemed to be 'date like', and upon looking in her 'notes' app, he found the name. Wasting no time he compared it to her contacts and constructed a text as quickly as he could, Have you ever been to the Aquarium? If you haven't, would you like to go with me~~? ♥♥♥ Takuto made the assumption that his daughter liked this boy, and before he could question his logic he heard her footsteps approaching so he quickly sent the message to one Rocco Murray while pretending it was actually from his daughter and replaced her phone just as it was before quickly moving across the living room as if nothing happened. Kaori could tell that her father seemed a bit tense as he spoke to the board of directors via Skype, but she couldn't figure out why, unaware that the answer laid dormant in her texts, a ticking time bomb. Laying on the sofa, she continued to scroll through lists of present ideas. They were all pretty lame. It all felt hopeless.

When his partner made her way to class, Kei let out an annoyed sigh. A huge part of him was hoping she would skip. This assignment was testing his patience already and all she did was walk through the door. Looking at the text that came across the screen of his phone, Kei actually saw himself throw the phone against the chalkboard in his mind. It took several moments for him to realize it was thankfully still perfectly safe in his hand. His parents were not the wealthiest among those who raised children attending Airdalen but his family was certainly well off. It had been years since they were considered middle class. After his sister died Kei’s father buried himself in work to avoid facing his grief, which meant they were making more money than they could possibly spend, especially as his mother worked full-time as well. If his father’s latest business deal went through properly he was certain that the scales would tip considerably, leaving their once middle-class status as nothing more but a distant memory. Kei was not well-informed about what role his father actually played at his company, but he knew that his dad was considered to be quite the upstart. It felt like their accumulating wealth arrived overnight. The press often made comments that his dad was either an extremely lucky and extraordinary man, or there were some shady business dealings going on behind the scenes. If it were the latter Kei felt that he was better off not knowing about it. Eventually, it would become his problem, and from the way, his father just messaged him asking for him to spend an hour at the company over the weekend Kei felt it would likely be sooner rather than later. It left a horrible pit in his stomach to doubt his father’s morals, but Kei had a bad feeling that their family fortune wasn’t by the book. He felt there was a lot slipping under the table, a grand magic trick that he wasn’t certain he wanted any part of. He was ripped from his dread when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Quickly realizing that the tap on his shoulder came from the bold pinkette he would be forced to work with, a cold chill ran down his spine. Kei turned to face her very slowly with a tense expression, “...Can you do the English?” Kei asked with a sigh, forcing himself to endure her as much as every fiber of his being wanted to escape. Written English wasn’t something he was very good at and he was born and raised in Japan so he felt he could manage that section well enough to skid by.

"What kind of questions....?"

A drop of sweat fell down his face when he realized she was just as clueless about where to begin as he was. This was going to be a very long day, "Just whatever comes to mind should be fine." He mumbled, keeping his attitude in check as much as possible. Although he definitely didn't want to, Kei turned in his seat to face her, writing down whatever came to mind, which honestly wasn't much. He didn't like assignments with this much freedom. It left way too much room for failure. He didn't really like any homework, but this was the worst kind. Couldn't he have gotten a male partner? Or at least a girl who understood physical boundaries...? Thankfully a saving grace came to the rescue. As a familiar face approached, Kei let out a silent sigh and raised his index and middle finger, flicking his wrist once, a casual wave of sorts. Kei had to fight the urge to let an amused smile cross his lips, feeling the corner of his mouth twitch a little as he resisted.

"Just crashing the party."

"Anytime," Kei responded, relieved that the first friend he made at this school came, quickly easing some of the tension that Kei felt building up over time. Looking to the board to see who Rocco's partner was, Kei finally snickered, covering his mouth with his hand. That kind of luck was worse than his own, something he didn't even think was possible just a few moments ago. Who did he piss off in his last life to get that outcome? Kei thought to himself, but realized that even in another life there was probably a line of people with complaints. Hell, even Kei was still a little uncomfortable with the fact that Rocco showed up to the lunch gathering hand-in-hand with his once crush, granted Rocco had no idea beforehand that they even knew each other. Still, he could see how karma could have some unfinished business to settle.

"How about.. where's the nearest hotel?"

Writing it down, even though it would likely get him in trouble if the teacher understood the context, Kei shook his head, "Should I put your name on our papers as well since your partner is useless?" Kei asked curiously, not wanting to take the credit for Rocco's work. That kind of thing didn't sit right with him when it meant the other person wouldn't get a grade at all. It was perfectly fine letting Yuuki DO their work the day before though, she would still get her own grade in the end, so what was the harm? When the bell rang, Kei stretched his arms above his head before gathering up his belongings, not that he really carried much aside from the bare necessities.

Image

At his mention of a hotel, Tsukiko’s brow quirked. He was in the tag rugby team, the only other tolerable person on it, so she didn’t have trouble remembering him, leaning her chin on the base of her palm as she set her gaze on him, “Hm, good point. It is half of what people spend their time doing during travel for leisure anyway.” While Tsukiko’s didn’t know much about the finer details, she did know that going to a foreign country often led to a lot of sex. Miyuki, despite his serious demeanor, got it in excess during his time in Korea. She had been in Japan barely a week and she had already done the deed, it was a solid answer, but she wasn’t sure if the teacher would see it that way, “Mmm... Hotel? Impressive. A little fancier for a one night stand than most boys our age. Most try to score with a motel... or so I’ve heard.” she responded casually, as if she had no knowledge of the subject, but she spoke the words with too much confidence and the way her lips curved into a knowing smile gave it all away, but she was barely putting forth an effort to hide what she knew. She was barely swaying conversation today yet all of it with everyone seemed to lead to sexual talk. The only people she had come across who hadn’t made a reference that day were Gen and Aeon.

However, the bell rang before much else could be done so Tsukiko wrapped everything up, “Guess we’ll have to discuss the assignment later." She quickly wrote her number and email on a sheet of paper and folded it, motioning it toward Kei about to give it to him, before withdrawing her hand hesitantly, “If you give my info out to a rando you’ll find out what a eunuch is.” Tsukiko warned him before placing the folded paper down on the desk. She already had three messages from Miyuki by the time she checked her phone, so she quickly began to make her way out of the building and to his car.

Kei was left feeling a little dumbfounded but he shook his head and picked up the piece of paper anyway. Unfolding it to look at it's contents, Kei sighed a little when he realized he just got a girl's phone number and email address. While he should have been overjoyed to get a girl's number as a teenage boy who was painfully single, he was actually troubled, "Well, better than her inviting herself to my house I suppose." Kei mumbled to himself. Then he remembered, there was still one thing he needed to do before going home. He said that he would explain himself to Rocco later, well, 'later' was now the present. It was probably best to just get it over with. Rip off the band-aid and see if everything would be alright afterward. He wasn't sure if he would understand, hell, Kei could barely understand it himself, "You doing anything?" He asked first, not wanting to insert himself in Rocco's evening if he had other plans, Kei wasn't eager to get his phobia off his chest, but he wasn't going to pretend he didn't have some explaining to do either. He didn't even tell his parents much about what was going on, so it was the first time he would really be discussing it at all, "I'll explain what happened earlier if you're not busy." Kei finished, putting his bag over his right shoulder soon after and motioning his head in the general direction of the exit.

"Yes, I am. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Serinuma-san."

Given that Misaki was raised in Japan the handshake took her by surprise, but without missing a beat she gently shook her fellow senior's hand. While it was a little distressing, making physical contact with girls wasn't nearly as exhausting on her mental fortitude as it was with boys. At least she was the correct person and they would be able to get started on the assignment. At least there is a silver lining through all of this mayhem.. Misaki thought to herself, trying to cling to that notion.

'You could call me, Fuyu."

That nickname...it was really cute, Misaki couldn't help saying it, "O..Okay... Fuyu-san." It didn't sound nearly as cute as when Fuyuki said it, but Misaki felt she would be able to say it without feeling completely awkward now that she had already said it once. Getting familiar with it was probably best, she didn't want to insult her partner for the assignment after all.

"Oh! Are you all right then? If you feel unwell, you could excuse yourself okay? I would not mind, health is wealth."

"Harigae-Kaichou... " Misaki still wasn’t sure why he didn’t put himself first. What if it was too late and he spent too long in wet clothes...? She knew she would feel awful if he got sick on her account. Though she couldn't help but feel a warmness in her chest as the other girl voiced concern for her. It wasn't often that something like that happened. Her eyebrows raised a bit in surprise, but Misaki nodded her head, "I feel fine thanks to him, oh, and Miyuu-san as well. He loaned his blazer to me during lunch." She quickly added the other boy's name to the explanation, her cheeks turning a bit pink.

"It is a good thing that boys in this school are quite the gentlemen, aren't they?"

Thinking of the boys she knew of at this school, she really couldn't call ALL of them gentleman. The junior, Miyuu, Kaito may have offered his jacket, but he was quite rude and even began to strip in public! He was somewhere in the middle, leaning toward being shady. Harigae, Sora, he often said lewd things aloud, but he didn't actually try anything indecent, and he did let her have the only uniform he had with him.. he was mostly a gentleman. Miyamoto, Kazuki...certainly was not! Especially after her run-in with him before gym and tag rugby. She felt she would never get that incident out of her head. Belrose, Aeon, well, that couldn't really be questioned. He was always formal and polite. Giou, Ryou was never out of the way that she observed, nor was Kiomine Tadashi.. so she considered them to be leaning toward the gentleman side. Tadashi did manage to protect her in the tag rugby game, so there was that. She still didn't have a proper gauge on the junior class though like Murray, Rocco or Kaufman, Chase. She didn't really want to find out though either, as it would mean spending time with them, "More so than not, that is true." Misaki chose a neutral answer, not really wanting to make a reply that could be taken strangely. Devone already had weird assumptions about her, she didn't want to fan those fires with miscommunication.

"Serinuma-san, do you have foreign blood?"

"Hai, Chinese on my father's side," Misaki responded, a little saddened to be thinking of him. While he now lived close by, it was a constant reminder of her sister that died as well as the painful divorce that followed. Before it could shift her mood, Misaki forced herself to think about something else, preferably something that didn't have to do with her, "What about you, Fuyu-san?" It was mostly small talk for conversation's sake, but it wasn't like Misaki wasn't interested as well.

"You have lovely green eyes. It's a shade similar to Jay-chan."

Tilting her head thoughtfully, Misaki wasn't really sure who she was talking about. Though when given a compliment it was usually routine to respond with another, "Thank you... It's a genetic anomaly passed down through my father. Just a fluke. On the other hand, you're gorgeous." Misaki responded honestly, able to speak to other girls far more honestly than she could with boys. It was probably a bit strange to say something so blunt to a stranger. Since there was the option of using just words, Misaki went with those first as words were easier to come up with than phrases, "会社員 (Kaishain) ... translation would be...Employee" Misaki was taking her time, making sure that she got the words right. She didn't want to make a mistake when her actions would reflect poorly on someone other than herself, "空港 (Kuukou) ..etto... Oh! Airport.." Misaki was whispering her words under her breath, but loud enough for Fuyuki to hear, following in suit of the other girl saying her thoughts aloud, at least this way they would not run the risk of repeating anything twice.

"If we keep this up, I'm sure we'll be finish soon, Serinuma-san. We're partners, so please rely on me if you need any help."

"As long as you promise to do the same. Yeah, we shouldn't have a lot to do over the weekend." Misaki responded with a kind smile, despite her agreement to lean on her partner in need be, Misaki did her best to carry her own weight. She wasn't exceptionally studious, but the assignment wasn't unreasonable either. She could do a fair bit on her own with what school smarts she had at her disposal. Would she get perfect marks? Probably not, but she was confident they would pass. She wasn't worried about dragging her partner down, and it was a relief. It also meant she would have to study more. It wasn't until she heard the bells that Misaki lifted her gaze to Fuyuki again, "That's a pleasant sound..." Misaki stated softly. It reminded her of the shrine she often visited with her mother on New Year's Eve, but Misaki didn't make the connection. When class was dismissed, Misaki quickly wrote down her home address as well as her cell phone number, "I don't want to leave you with all of the work, this way we can meet up or at least share our work." Misaki explained kindly. She saw other people sharing contact information, so it wasn't too presumptuous, was it? While they didn't have a lot more to do, she wasn't irresponsible enough to pawn it off on her partner.

About to begin her journey home, Misaki stopped in her tracks as she realized there was a bit of a scene between Giou, Ryou and Harigae, Sora near the door. She wasn't paying attention to the specifics, but it was clearly about Devone. Is there another exit..? I wonder if I can just go around them... Misaki tried to decide what to do, not wanting to get caught in the middle. If they were going to argue or fight, being close would not be wise. She wasn't sure if the scene would get worse or not so making a decision was difficult, she chose to wait to see if anyone else was brave enough to walk by first. For now she'd stay out of it until the situation either esclated or diffused, it was the safest course of action. Taking a few steps back, Misaki made sure to remain out of the way, but watched with a concerned expression.

"Thank you very much!" A cheerful smile accompanied those words. Being called gorgeous, it is something Fuyuki had grown accustomed to. She received it countless times whether it was lip talk or sincerely, the novelty eventually wore of. But, it also meant she was able to distinguish the intentions behind that common compliment. "Unfortunately, none. I am simply a Japanese..." It ended with a helpless sigh. She had always found the traditions and the philosophy of the pure restrictive. So, the term anomaly is a word she associated with pleasant uniqueness. "So, I am envious of your anomaly. It makes you more beautiful."

Their small talks continued while Fuyuki worked on the assignment with lightness. "Of course, we are partners after all!" Unlike the rest, she has no problems working with others whether known or not to her. She was raised to cater to the public and it helps that she is an inherent people-person. "Hm?" She was a bit engrossed with the sentence she wrote down, before the dot connected. "This you mean?" Her fingers reached for her hair bells as she gently held it. "Yes, it is. The sound is comforting and also ensures I would never be lost!" Tapping it playfully, the tinkling sounds came out.

Following that sound, the school bell rang. "I guess we are done for the day." Fuyuki stretched her arms forward as she glanced at the paper containing Misaki's contact details. "Sure!" She picked it up and waved at her partner goodbye. "Well until then, have a nice day!" When she was now alone, she gathered the papers for the homework. They were mostly done, just the final touches. So, there were really not much work left. She then decided to leave soon after, she has an appointment after school. She was looking forward to it. But before leaving, she gave Kazuki a look over and meeting those golden eyes, she waved at him and then went on her way.

But, Fuyuki has yet to completely step out of the room when she saw a rather interesting scene. Her eyes shimmered as she decided to take that exit. She walked passed Devone and like a soft passing breeze, it carried a hint for her. "Kim Reizei Devone-san. Hold tightly on that black knight." And when the meaning had reached, she was already quite a distance from the scene. She would have joined in the fun, but she has things to do. She did, however gave Sora, a wave. She then took out her phone and pressed a number. There is a call she should make.

Not before long, Fuyuki was in front of a classroom. It was one of the rooms used by the juniors. Specifically, she was here to pick up hers. Class is already done. Normally, it would be the boy who would be picking up the girl. But, she was older and the senior, so the ball was hers to roll. It was undeniable that her presence was making a commotion among the other juniors. After all, she is a senior and notably, she had been making quite a name for herself, being a new transfer student, couple days ago. This, of course, was not done intentionally.

"B-kun?" There was no teacher so Fuyuki entered the room and found her junior. Her face lit up like a lamp in a dark alley. The sound of bells followed her movements which made it rather difficult not to take notice of her presence. She went to Bishop with that smile of hers. The others within the room grew envious, after all, it was a senior girl and as Misaki described, a gorgeous one. "Let's go home." She then looked at Johnny. "Hello Jay-chan! I hope you don't mind me taking my junior away."

"It's no big deal, Captain." Rhys had no outward reaction but he noticed Mao's respect for his position on Upstream was carried on away from the pool. He wasn't sure what he had done to earn her respect especially as the majority of the team had their doubts on his leadership. What could I have done better? I didn't know I'd get elected and I haven't done this shit before. He was frustrated and stressed out by recent events from his newly appointed title to his encounter with the flirtatious one of the Kitogawas. He took a deep breath in and tried to focus on the present. There was some unrest in the junior classroom (Rocco and Kaito) that reminded him things could be much worse. Assigned a partner for the assignment left to luck of the draw, someone from his swim team who respected him was something he could appreciate. It was also a chance to get to know his club member better.

His shoulder nudged, Rhys stopped fidgeting with his pen and turned to look at Mao. For a few seconds, he was wondering if he had offended her but the nudge was interpreted as playful to his relief, by her expression and following words. "No way." She was quick to say no but the color in her cheeks told another story about her relationship with Chase. "Boys who are late to class should focus on words to add. If you laugh I'll shove you out of your chair, Captain or not." She had earned his respect back. Not just anybody would threaten jokingly or not a student above their station. He took it positively, a smirk sliding on his face. "Understood. I wouldn't have laughed anyway. I can see what he sees in you." Rhys spoke honestly, leaving his compliment vague as he returned to looking at the sheet of paper they were sharing.

"Jeez, we are behind on this..." Rhys rubbed the back of his head then nodded in agreement. He knew he had a long way to go in his studies, only really achieving good grades in physical activities. Blank paper was more intimidating than a ball. "I'm not good at writing in English and I don't really know a lot about being a tourist. My parents always handled everything, so I'm apologizing in advance." Rhys' hand slid down from his head to his neck as he stretched it after staring down at the paper for a good while. "If you're apologizing, I should too because I'm shit at Japanese writing. I'm a foreigner here so I know what it's like to be a tourist and English is what I'm good for. We can balance each other out. What do you say?" As a captain of a team and from prior experiences, he knew that everyone had their own unique weaknesses and strengths. All it took was a good approach and willingness to work together to make solid teamwork. They had the willingness and just needed a game plan to execute.

He began writing down some general sentences in English that he had asked as a tourist such as, 'Can you speak English? How much is it? Where can I use the internet? Could you repeat that, please?' before continuing onto the locations they listed. "Should we trade contact information in case we have to finish this after school?" Rhys clicked his pen and leaned back in his chair to look over what he had already written which added up to 20. They still had 80 more to go and he groaned at the realisation. "Yeah." The bell rang and they weren't done. He wrote his mobile number on the paper and took a quick photo with his phone's camera to save a copy of the assignment. "I have study club. Keep in touch Nozomi-san." And God only knows how badly he needed to study. He pocketed his phone hurriedly and waved but stopped a bit away feeling like he forgot something. Rhys turned around to add one more thing, "Oh and thanks." He was thankful to Mao for respecting his title as captain but treating him like an equal at the same time.

ImageRhys walked down the hallway but he stopped again, reaching the other English classroom that was pointed out to him and attended by his senior. He hesitated standing right by the doorway. Shiori and him were both members of study club and Takumi was an unresolved problem. As long as she followed his advice and had company, Shiori would be okay but he didn't know if she had any close friends to accompany her right now. But after her cousin.. she probably wants nothing to do with me. It looked like I was handling a girl I just met again and.. fuck!

He moved out of the way after a close bump in and leaned against the wall as seniors exited the room with a few giving him odd looks and whispering, wondering who he was waiting on. Despite his inner indecisiveness because he had no bloody clue if he should wait or go ahead, he maintained a calm almost deceptive front. She might ignore and walk right past me. It was a fucked up moment. Rhys second guessed what to do over and over again but he didn't budge one inch away from his spot. I'm not her Tou-san..

Johnny “Jay” Farelli

The American giant did not have any club obligations on Friday, which made it a perfect day for Johnny Farelli to begin his new part-time job. Today had been a pretty hectic day, which left the foreigner clenching his jaw in a somewhat grim apprehension. After all, he still had to deal with certain consequences. While he performed as well as he could in class, he couldn't help but dread the implications of Gen-chan not returning during lunch.

Was the word he had asked about such a taboo that she'd hate him now? What could the word possibly mean? Why did Fuyu-chan introduce the word in the first place? Was Fuyu-chan some sort of cunning tease? The foreigner didn't know for sure. Looks can be deceiving; he was living proof of that. However, he couldn't confirm such a thought until a pattern showed up. All he knew was that he felt his stomach turn every time he recalled that petrified look on Gen-chan's face, and the sound of the clip board hitting the stone-covered ground of the park, where Inryoku had been stationed temporarily.

Despite his reservations and anxiety, he wasn't about to fail at the advice he just gave his partner, Bishop. Near the end of class, Johnny held an at-worst neutral expression while working. When Johnny and Bishop had only just completed their cards, the bell rang. With a rubber band holding the flash cards together, the tall American stepped to the front and slipped the bundle into the teacher's inbox. As he did, he heard the familiar bells of Fuyu-chan. The senior had come to pick up Bishop, it seemed. This was only confirmed when she spoke directly to Johnny.

Without really thinking, he nodded and flashed a thumbs-up. "Don't let me keep him!" He joked with a grin. In truth, he really wanted to have Fuyu-chan explain what "oppai" meant. When he thought of it, he felt his lungs tighten, like phantom hands squeezed them. He couldn't just ask that in front of the classroom. With Gen-chan's reaction, who knows what everyone else would say and do? He bit his tongue behind closed lips, hiding his intentions under the quip. Instead, he decided to take his leave first. Before heading out the door. He waved to Bishop, "Keep your chin up, Bishop. See you later!" He smiled naturally enough, but Fuyu-chan's presence simply reminded him of the whole "oppai fiasco". Hide the anxiety. Be tough. Keep your chin up, he reminded himself as he headed out the door.

---

The school-provided textbooks were stored surprisingly neatly alongside the ukulele case. At the top of the locker, Johnny's small gym bag hung on a hook, containing his gym outfit. The foreigner slapped his cheeks as he stared into his locker. After the initial sting, the foreigner rubbed his cheeks to try to clear his mind. It was depressing thoughts like this "oppai" anxiety that brought her to the forefront. The foreigner couldn't afford such a distraction in a foreign country, though it seemed that distractions find him anyway. This school, after all, seemed unusual and alien to him.

After a long period of consideration, Johnny carefully shut and locked up the stuff he wouldn't need to bring home. It doesn't matter now. his thoughts jumbled the words together, I did help someone at least. It was enough to get him to smile and wave to others who greeted the tall foreigner. He even came across those art students who had used his well-toned body as a reference. "Words can hurt, but words can heal too," he recalled the words from his best friend. Avery always knew how to diffuse a situation. Although there were some situations words couldn't resolve, and Johnny was the backup plan. Johnny chuckled at the bittersweet memory as he moved.

Time seemed to speed on by when the foreigner was heading through the corridors, milling through waves of students heading to their respective clubs or rendezvous points for Friday night hangouts. The American didn't have such luxuries today. He had the first day of his job to worry about. He pondered if the Smith would be able to help him with figuring out a Kris Kringle gift.

Outside, the ground was cleared up from fallen cherry blossoms, and the faintest traces of smoke from the fire lingered high in the sky. The building that had been affected was taped off while construction workers moved briskly about, moving materials, tools, and in some cases, coffee. The foreigner couldn't help but be impressed at how quickly the school organized so many workers. Was it all on stand-by? Just how well-funded was this school? The foreigner could hardly believe it. Having come from the ghetto, the mere idea of "Top funding" seemed almost alien to him. His previous school in particular was... notorious... partly because of its meager funding. It made Avery and the Boyz seem like diamonds in the rough, though the old teachers didn't much care for their music and tendency to get into trouble.

"Welp..." The foreigner turned away from the sight of repairs and renovations and started heading for the main gate. As he spoke to himself, he straightened himself with a summoned determination. The sheer height of the American was noticeable from across the campus. "I'm gonna get to the forge and work, and figure something out," He vowed to himself in a low voice, "And nothing will come out of the blue and stop me."

"You inviting me to an after school beatdown? Fun. Just don't get my hopes up and be a no show."

Scoffing at Rocco's words, Kaito didn't change his attitude at the mention of fighting. It wasn't something he had to put a lot of thought into. Even if he didn't deal the most damage, backing down from a fight was something Kaito had never done. He even had a few teeth knocked out, having them replaced with drill-in alternatives. So far his nose managed to fair better than he ever could have anticipated, but his father knew an excellent plastic surgeon if need be. Wealth opened a lot of doors. Speaking of fights, Kaito couldn't help but think back to his matches with one guy in particular. He once fought the same guy three different times. He only came out on top once, but he didn't care. Backing down gave them permission to give him an even harder time. It was accepting whatever treatment they chose to dish out. At least if he put up a fight, they knew that there would be some consequences to their actions. They wouldn't walk away without a scratch if he could help it, "I'll be there. I won't stand you up." Kaito teased him for his wording a little with his last sentence. It reminded him of a girl worried about being stood up for a date, so in his best faux sweet tone, he made sure Rocco knew he had no intention of not being there. Thankfully he was able to keep the urge to laugh at bay. He was proud of his self-control in that moment, because laughing would have only ruined the delivery.

"Paying keeps you in the school but doesn't keep you from repeating grade but hey, if you want to be stuck here then you do you dude."

Kaito kept a bored tone on his features and listened as Rocco said his piece, even if it did hit a nerve. Although he knew what Rocco said to be true, Kaito still smiled to himself after he walked away. He got what he wanted, after all, no one was bothering him about an assignment he didn't care about anymore. As for what Rocco said, Kaito really wasn't all too worried about what Rocco said, given he was born into wealth. If he needed to make money, he could just start acting like his father. With his father's name, it would be a piece of cake to get a role, he would just have to show some level of talent, the doors would already be open, no diplomas needed. Still, he wasn't advertising his relationship with the famous Japanese actor as his father chose to keep him sheltered from the media for as long as possible. It angered Kaito that his father thought it to be necessary at all. There wasn't a single thing the media could say about him that could reach him. Their words would never be able to faze him, only the opinions of his family mattered. Family was all that mattered, and that would never change. It was a concept that his father had drilled into his skull from the beginning, half of the reason he was taking this Akira situation so poorly. If his father truly believed that, why did he abandon her twice? She needed her father as a child, but she needed him again when she lost their mother. She was alone! How could he sleep at night? Kaito didn't realize how tightly he was gripping the back of his seat, but he could feel how taut his jaw had become.

He didn't notice Akira calling him over at first, but when he finally registered that she was telling him to come over he stood and made his way over to his sister. Once he was within appropriate distance, her hand squeezed his making him aware of his painfully pale knuckles, "You'll hurt your hand, Miyuu-kun." She smiled warmly, her belongings already gathered up. Kaito was surprised by this because the most common expression he achieved from Akira since he introduced himself was a look of irritation. Akira witnessed what happened, and also noticed that Kaito wasn't working with his partner, he didn't work on the assignment at all actually. She wasn't sure what his deal was, but as a class president, she felt compelled to try and fix it. There was also the fact that it was like seeing a version of herself, one that only disappeared not that long ago. All of that anger, she recognized it, not only because he shared her face, but that might have been a huge part of it, "Here is Watari's email. Submit a few of your own ideas and I will explain the rest to him. It would be disappointing if we don't do our best to succeed as a class, wouldn't it?" Akira added, speaking in her usual friendly manner. It was difficult, his entire existence spooked her. It was unreal that someone could look this much like her, and she knew that they were related but she didn't have the courage to ask about it. She didn't want to know the answer, part of her knew she wasn't ready, that she wouldn't be able to handle it.

A wry smile was all Kaito could muster up, removing his hand from hers, "I'll think about it." He replied, pocketing Kei's information. He didn't like him either, possibly less than his own partner. He knew Akira wasn't aware of that, but it still left a sour expression on his face. As he received a text from his father about his acting lessons, Kaito took a step back, "I have to get going, I have lessons." He explained to Akira before excusing himself. He ended up walking down the hall not really paying attention to who was around and who wasn't. It had been a long day and for him, it was far from over. He just needed to get out of this damned school.

Once the bell had rung, there was no hesitation in Shiori's actions as she began putting her things away. About to leave for her club activities without another word to her partner, Shiori received a text. Pulling out her phone, Shiori quirked a brow. Didn't Kazuhiko already know that she had to stay late for club participation? Opening the text, Shiori blinked realizing there was a photo attachment and it had a picture of both her siblings smiling smugly waiting outside the gates with Kazuhiko, “W-What are they doing here!?” She accidentally said aloud, forgetting where she was for a moment in her worry. Shiori was well aware of the fact that her parents hired servants that were meant to look after each of their children, the same way that Kazuhiko accompanied her. What were those idiots doing!? Why were they paid so well if they were absent-minded enough to let a ten-year-old and a five-year-old give them the slip?! The only reason she was able to relax was that they were both with her own trusted retainer. Quickly regathering her composure, she made a beeline for the exit, only to come to a halt once more when she noticed the scene at the doorway. She wasn’t allowed to overlook it as a class representative, especially as she was one of the senior class representatives. Seniority often came with higher expectations. With a sigh, Shiori adjusted her bag. This was not the day for this sort of thing. She couldn't put it off on Sora, seeing as he was involved so she had no choice.

She would figure something out, even though her last attempt did not go over well, “How about this... I'll take Kim-san’s place and help instead? My partner was hardly competent and it appears that Kim-San has other obligations to see to. We are both in Airdalen Overachiever's Committee, so it works to our schedules as well.” Shiori attempted to use reason to distract her fellow class president. It was her best effort to cool the tension that seemed to be rising. Given Ryou’s hold on Sora’s arm, she felt that intervention was necessary before anyone did something they regret. Blood had already been shed once, and she doubted all of Sora's bruises had healed yet. A second head injury wouldn't be helpful to his healing in the slightest. She wasn’t fully attuned to what happened, but she was familiar with everyone involved to some degree. While she only saw Ryou in passing, she frequented the store he worked at and he was quiet, she could appreciate quiet. It was an ability that many people lacked. Sora was incredibly intelligent, but he lacked the people skills to properly read situations.. and it often led to random situations, often angering others. In a way she could relate to both parties, as well as the center of the issue, Devone. Offering a solution that would please all parties was the only way Shiori knew to avoid taking sides, and she didn't want to change her opinion of anyone involved. If something happened, she would lose respect for someone. That aside, wealthier families often came out on top in disputes, especially if their families made donations, at least that was how a vast majority of the world worked. Shiori didn’t have any confidence that it would be any different here. In her own way, she was attempting to prevent the issues of social class from peeking out it's ugly head.

Looking between Ryou, Devone, and Sora, Shiori was hoping they could come to an agreement to avoid a violent outburst, “Harigae-san, we will be late for our club meeting and you still have the matter of getting changed. I'll be waiting in the hall.” She added, after years of attending classes with him, she observed that he was often quite punctual. She was making a few gambles, but she hoped that cooler heads would prevail. As she carefully made her way around them, prepared to wait in the hall for Sora to join her, Shiori became aware of Rhys' presence. Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment, unsure of what he was doing there, but remembered that he had joined the club as well. Her features returned to normal when the information all clicked. Still she was pleasantly surprised that he was waiting there at all, If he's waiting to see if he can identify Takumi, he's already left... Shiori thought to herself, not that she was going to offer any help in that endeavor. She wasn't going to enable a confrontation, and it didn't even cross her mind that he could have been waiting for her. Looking over her shoulder to the scene inside the classroom, Shiori took a moment to approach Rhys, “This may take a while. I have to stay until a dispute over class participation inequalities is settled. Gomenasai. If you don't wish to be late, you may go on ahead.” Shiori explained, avoiding direct eye contact. She was still embarrassed about her humiliating slip, but she had to keep her wits about her. She was in class president mode and she couldn't let that falter for even a second. She made that mistake once, she had to do better this time around. She fell off that horse, but now that the pain had subsided it was time to get back on and try again. She was voted in for this role, now she had to live up to it, even if the only reason she was chosen was that her classmates wanted to watch her fail. Regardless of what the reasoning behind it was, if that were truly the case, she would just have to work hard and prove she deserved the job.

Waiting to see how things turned out, Shiori replied to her text, taking a spot against the wall next to Rhys, but not brazenly close. 'Take them out for ice cream or something, this could take a while. Also, please inform father that he needs to fire their retainers and hire someone more competent. They could have easily been kidnapped. What then?' Shiori was typing a mile a minute, and her heartbeat was incredibly fast, despite her outer appearance of calm detachment, she was panicked about her siblings traveling such a long distance alone, and she was worried that her words that were meant to ease the conflict in the classroom would be ineffectual. Once she sent her response, Shiori lifted her gaze, looking to the doorway of the senior classroom, “If you choose to wait, we might have Harigae-san accompanying us. Is that alright?” Shiori asked as a courtesy, not aware of the exchange at the pool. She didn't tune in to gossip often as she detested it quite a bit so she didn't overhear. Besides, most were discussing the fire despite there being no casualties, she even heard the rumor that the Freshman she met harrassing Sora before (Rocco) might have started it. She didn't cross off that notion, but she wasn't sure how much she trusted the gossip trail. There was plenty said about her in the years before that were far from true. Honestly, I don't care if I never find out the truth. I want absolutely nothing to do with anything involving that Freshman. She thought to herself, doing as little speaking as possible to avoid any further awkwardness. The 'Tou-san' joke was enough embarrassment, explaining it would only result in added humiliation. It was better to pretend it never happened at all. Keeping to a more formal Senior-Freshman relationship would be easier to maintain. She was assigned to him to help guide him, that was all that was expected. She couldn't let other entanglements impair her ability to provide guidance.

The project between Bishop and Johnny went as smoothly as one could hope for. Right as the bell rang, the boys had finished and wrapped up their flashcards with a rubber band. He sighed in relief and began to pack up. He had a weekend to look forward to and relax, hit the pool and let this bad first week just roll off- or that's what he hoped. It was a lot to process, with his long time dear friend Devone being found after so long, only for her to shut him down completely. Making 1 new friend (Akira), being shut out for a spot on the school's swim team despite his athletic scholarship. Then there was a fire and all the drama surrounding that.

During his mental thoughts, he paused thinking about all the people he met and the events the school hosted. Akira, Johnny, Arietta, Mei and others that sort of just- disappeared. His thoughts then once again turned to Fuyuki as a blush covered his cheeks. The remarkably bright girl who out-shined him in a blinding sense. She was.... Enamoring and so very frustrating for the poor junior all at the same time, he didn't get as to why she was so eager and keen on having him by her side. He was beyond flattered and wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to say no right no. It was all so very confusing.

Bishop continued to think and dwell on Fuyuki to the point where he didn't notice that she walked in looking for him, missing her signature sound of bells. He had her pictured in his mind when she approached. "B-Kun?" Bishop froze and slowly turned around, thinking for a moment that she was summoned thanks to his day dreaming. [cololr=#0080FF]<Crap.... Does she know I was thinking about her?>[/color] He smiled sheepishly with red cheeks. "H-Hai, senpai-" "Let's go home." "G-g-g-g-g-o where?" Why did she have to say it like THAT?!

In a moment of panic, he looked around to his other students to see if anyone was giving them attention- which of course since it was Fuyuki several students were watching. "Ah- yeah. S-sure... We should go, Fuyu-senpai." Bishop was clutching his bag with a white knuckle grip as his heart raced, looking down into her (Fuyuki's) eyes. Fortunately she turned away to address Johnny. "Hello Jay-chan! I hope you don't mind me taking my junior away." "Don't let me keep him!"

"Keep your chin up, Bishop. See you later!" This was all so embarrassing. "Y-Yeah, hehe." Bishop gave a thumbs up to Johnny as he left, leaving him one on one with the girl who made him so stressed out for some odd reason. He gulped and clenched his bag tighter, looking down when Fuyuki went back to him- which didn't help at all since his eyes were starring straight at her chest. When he caught himself he awkwardly shifted to the right to avert his gaze, did she (Fuyuki) notice? "So uh- you ready to go?" His eyes shifted over to look back to his senior (Fuyuki) daring to look her in the eyes again, when they did he inhaled silently and bit his lip; suddenly remembering their moment on the park bench earlier.
