Walking alone down a dark street an older man slowly progressed. His arms folded behind his back and a contemplating look on his face, he was obviously deep in thought. As he made his way down the long dark road he noticed footsteps behind him, a quick look behind him would reveal about 5 other men slowly making their way towards him, Chains and Knives in their hands.

Two of the Men ran in front of him and held out their hands "whoa whoa whoa Gramps, where do you think your going?" one of them asked with a sick grin and pulled out a knife

The Old Man shook his head and looked at the two young boys in front of him "please, your making a big mistake, leave now and promise nothing bad will happen to you" he said with his arms still folded behind his back

A Roar of Laughter followed the old man's words as they young men taunted the old one. "Man what are you smoking?" one of the young boy's laughed "look man i'll make it real simple for you, give me all your money and valuables" he said pulling out a gun "and you wont die yeah?" he said darkly

The old man sighed "Valkenhayn" he said during the Sigh.

Another Old Man stepped out from the darkness dressed in a swallow tail suit "Yes Master Gen-Rai?" he asked with a bow

"These young men have refused to leave, perhaps they need to be taught a lesson" he said nodding to Valkenhayn "Do me a favor and teach it to them" Gen-Rai said

Valkenhayn nodded 'yes Master Gen-rai" he said with a bow.....then only the screams of the young attackers filled the night

Scarlet walked alone down a dark street slightly in a hurry to get home..a 18 year old girl with no weapons of any kind walking down a dark street in the middle of the night...well that was a dumb idea but it was not her fault her job made her stay out a little later.

at first everything was quiet..then there were screams coming from the corner she was about to turn, stopping she glanced around the corner to see 6 guys,2 with gray hair and the others..well they looked younger..really young.

Staring at was happening she was slightly confused..the younger boys had guns and chains and stuff like that..the 2 older looking men did not look like they had anything that could be used as a weapon in anyway..but the man looked so clam..and the kid was pointing a gun at him!!

Scarlet heard the boy say something about giving him his money then she heard the man say something along the lines of " don't do this "
but she was not sure..really she was standing behind the old man and could not hear them...she would have to get her ears checked sooner or later..

Then the other man stepped up and started fighting the 5 boys all by himself, Scarlet let out a small gasp and put her hand over her mouth wanting to turn around and run back to where she had come from or just walk around them as if she did not see a thing..either one of those ideas would of turned out bad and she knew it..she Scarlet just stood there staring at them all.

Valkenhayn's onslaught had left the young attackers bloodied and beaten but not dead. He flipped his long white hair behind his back before turning to Gen-Rai and bowing "lesson Learned sir" Valkenhayn said in a polite tone.

Gen-Rai sighed and shook his head "such unnecessary violence" he said folding his arms behind his back and looking into the darkness. A figure caught his eye, it was that of a young woman's "there is no need to be afraid my dear" he said "i promise i will not harm you" he said kindly

Thomas walked down the main street, Regulus following behind him. Thomas dug into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone to check the time. He turned to Regulus and said “ I want to get to the café quicker so open a portal.” Regulus nodded and said “ as you command, sir.” a door appeared before Thomas, it swung open and Thomas walked inside. Thomas walked through nothing but darkness. Regulus walked beside him as a guide. A second door came into view, it slowly opened, Thomas and Regulus both walked toward the door and when they walked through the doorway. The appeared on the roof of the coffee shop. Regulus said to Thomas “ I didn’t wish for anyone to see my ability, I hope you aren’t mad master.” Thomas looked at Regulus and said “ it’s ok Regulus I can forgive you.” Thomas then heard the sound of screaming and yelling. It was coming from the street below. Thomas went to the side of the building and sat down, he watched as an old man beat up a group of muggers. This man wasn’t normal, he must have been a Magus.

Regulus stood over Thomas and watched the man fight, Regulus looked at Thomas and said “ you seem interested by the fighting master.” Thomas nodded and said “an old man beating up a group of thugs is quite interesting to me, I think I shall continue watching. Something even better might happen.” Thomas watched as the old man finished off the thugs and then a girl appeared, she seemed confused or possibly frightened. Thomas yawned and stretched, he was hoping something good would happen, but he figured the fighting must be over now and things would go back to being boring.

Gen-rai looked around and closed his eyes and folded his arms behind his back while Valkenhayn disposed of the unconscious Bodies. "Master Gen-Rai i have finished sir" Valkenhayn said in his pleasant manner "Shall i go and prepare the tea sir?" he asked bowing

Gen-Rai's brow furrowed as he looked towards the roof of the Coffee shop "Valkenhayn, what can you sense?" he asked seeing the two shadows that appeared randomly on the roof

"I sense another Magus Sir" Valkenhayn said folding h is own arms behind his back

"Can you sense it's purpose?" Gen-Rai asked not looking away from the Coffee shope

"Please forgive me Sir, but i cannot seem to read it's intent" Valkenhayn said with another bow

Gen-Rai turned and stared at the two figures on the Roof, Lately he had run into several Master's and their Magus. Each time was a horribly long battle which resulted in nothing but Death...He hoped this was not the case this time but he was prepared for anything "Valkenhayn, Be ready" Gen-Rai said

"Yes sir" Valkenhayn said with a bow

Esther Roux strolled down the street, cheerily humming to herself as she held the hand of her Magus, Celsius, a blue-skinned female with an ethereal appearance. Her skin shone and glimmered in the evening light, complimenting her features in contrast to the pale, petite figure of a child beside her. The little girl abruptly stopped, entranced by the very sight of a Coffee Shop to the side of the street, so magically illuminated by the lantern lights dangling uselessly on the door; her eyes went wide with want and she began dragging Celsius into the small cafe.

About 2 feet away from the store, Celsius stood resolutely, as unresponding as a marble statue towards her Master's silent pleading. Esther stared up at her Magus and furrowed her eyebrows in irritation, "Celsiiiuuuus!" Her short blond hair framed her childish face in disarray as she made a scene in public. "Celsius, pleaaase?" she asked, tugging on the woman's silken robe. Celsius exhaled evenly and looked at the turbulent child warily with golden, yellow hawk eyes, "Ma'am, you really aren't supposed to be having sweets at such a late time of night.. But, I suppose.."

Esther didn't bother to hear her Magus finish her sentence, for she was already tugging Celsius impatiently towards the direction of the Coffee Shop, eagerly awaiting the treat.

Kyden casually sat in a local cafe, sipping from a piping hot coffee. He wore a grey hoodie, and dark blue jeans. His hood was up to slightly cover the fact that he was wearing a black blindfold. He looked out the window with a smirk as he noticed a young girl outside, dragging her magus in after her. He stifled a laugh, for he was a masterless Magus, that reveled in his freedom, pretending to be a human with an ocular condition.

He stood and moved to leave, throwing a cynical smile to the girl's Magus. "Enjoy your chains." he said quietly with a teasing tone. Stepping into the night, he took a deep breath and let out a relaxed sigh. He began stretching as an armored truck pulled up to the shop. He stopped, intrigued by the vehicle. The doors burst open and several men in S.W.A.T. uniforms rushed him. Kyden moved to lift his blindfold, then stopped and turned on his heels and bolted. He felt a projectile strike him in the back and electricity coursed through his body, sending existence into blackness.

The men loaded the young man into the truck and drove off towards a towering building in the city's center. The HQ for the medical technologies company AngelTech.

Gen-Rai looked on at the small coffee shop as he saw a young Girl and her Magus enter. "Such i high concentration of Magus Lately." he said folding his arms behind his back "what do you suppose it means Valkenhayn?" He asked the Old Magus next to him

"Perhaps there is some trouble stirring up sir" Valkenhayn said in his pleasant tone "shall we take our leave sir?" he asked with a bow

"No" Gen-Rai said walking towards the Coffee Shop "My Curiosity has been pirked" he said walking slowly across the street "Come Valkenhayn"

"As you wish sir" Valkenhayn said with a smile and a bow as they both headed inside the coffee shop

Scarlet stood there for a moment then walked to her next job..Scarlet lived on her own in a small apartment and the pay was hard so she had at least 3 jobs.
Scarlet sighed and she walked into the coffee shop and put on the uniform then walked out and started taking orders.

Seeing so many people were coming in Scarlet had to clear and clean off 3 more tables then set them up so there were 2 coffee cups and 2 plates on each one with one naken, Scarlet put a small piece of coffee cake on each plate and sighed again.

The boss said that everyone gets 1 free cup of coffee and 1 free piece of coffee cake which means her pay check for the week would be messed up..she only got about 20 dollers a week from this job, 30 from the other and 45 from the other.. which means she would only get 105 dollers a week and the rent was 256.

Shaking her head as if to push all the thoughts to the back of her brain Scarlet rushed over to open the door for the new people that were coming in then showing them there tables.

Gen-Rai smiled at the young woman who held showed him to his table "Thank you young Lady" he said as Valkenhayn pulled his Chair out for him "Thank you Valkenhayn" he said sitting down in his chair "Please do sit down" he said to his Magus

"Thank you sir" Valkenhayn said with a bow and sat down across from Gen-Rai. Valkenhayn looked around the room at all of the Other Magus in the building, His Demeanor was polite and professional but he was on guard and ready for anything

Scarlet stared at both of them for a moment eyes wide, it had been dark on the street but she was pretty sure they were the too men from the street..blinking Scarlet thought better of it and pulled out a note pad " I-is there anything I can get you today..? " he said her voice coming out in a low whisper.

Scarlet bit her tong trying not to think about what had happen on the street, sure it had not been weird for a bunch of boys to try and rob a old man but the other guy..he looked around the same age and he took on all five of the boys at the same time..then again if she had not been a little late to leave her last job she would of got robbed instead and give up all her money..shaking the tought back again she waited for the men to answer.

Gen-Rai looked up at the Young Girl "yes please i would like a cup of Jasmine Tea" he said Looking towards Valkenhayn "would you care for a cup Valkenhayn?" he asked with a smile

"oh, yes sir" Valkenhayn said "Please the same for me young lady" The Magus said with a bow.

"Hey Ash! Aaash. Ashrell!" Donny fussed standing on her tip-toes to wave a hand in front of her companions face. He wasn't paying attention, again, and she wanted to say something. "Pay attention dang it!" she shouted, kicking his leg hard enough to get his attention but not so much so that he was hurt. She hated it when he zoned out like this, it always took forever to get his attention and usually he'd just laps back into that sleepy blankness a few minutes later. He really was more trouble than he was worth some times. She gave another slightly frustrated sigh and tugged at his coat. "Tall guy!" she whined.

He looked down at her curiously, green eyes in their usual sleepy haze. It was almost as if he'd just realized she was there. He tilted his head, hair shifting to fall over one eye. "Hm?" he questioned rather informally reaching up to scratch the back of his head. "Did you need something miss?" he asked, voice low, slow and a little drowsy making it seem as if he'd just woken up. He looked rather unconcerned by his masters whining tone and while he was acknowledging her he seemed to still be rather far off.

Donny let go of his coat and managed a small smile, good, finally, he was paying attention. "Let's go get some coffee" she said, gesturing towards an illuminated shop down the street. "I wanna try and finish Jib 457 tonight" she grinned, referring to one of her small electronic creations.

"Oh... wouldn't that take all night?" The tall Magus questioned.

"Yes, that's why I want coffee" she told him slowly with a nod.

"But that means you won't sleep" he stated with a slight frown.

"Exactly" she gave an exasperated sigh as his frown deepened. "What? What's wrong" she questioned.

"You should sleep. You've been staying up far too much." A look of concern seemed to creep into his sleepy eyes as he recalled the past week, in total she had slept about fifteen hours and he was sure she needed more rest than that.

She didn't seem to be concerned about that and shrugged. "I'll be fine, come on" she said, grabbing his hand to pull him forward. For a moment she stopped, hesitating as she saw someone exit the shop and promptly get shot and hauled away by a S.W.A.T team. "Er... did you see that?" she asked looking back at Ashrell, giving a little shiver as the male nodded. "That was... strange." She stood for a moment longer then proceeded to drag him along, smiling as she saw a young girl and her Magnus. "Aw, I remember when I was that age and always dragging you to places" she laughed, continuing towards the shop, pausing to let the small girl in first.

Scarlet nodded " Yes sir i'll get it right away. " Scarlet said turning around and walking to the kitchen and starting to make the tea.
After the water was boiling Scarlet put the tea packs in it and let them sit for a little.

After about 3 minuites Scarlet poured the tea into 2 glasses, set them on a tray and walked back out to the table setting the glasses full of fresh hot tea.
" is there anything else I can get you? " Scarlet said her voice still in a whisper.

Cecilia stared at the computer in front of her wishing for just a moment that she could be back out on the field. Action was what she lived for, but what AngelTech did to the Magus that she brought down was something that still made her stomach churn. Everything about AngelTech made her stomach want to rebolt. They did horrendous experiments on Magus just so then they could steal their powers without having the drawbacks of having to have a controller.

"Cecilia," She turned around to find two AngelTech soilders in their blue formal suits that made them look like lawyers rather than soilders. "You're needed down at the labs to identify a new magus."

She sighed. Of course they wouldn't stop capturing Magus, she thought as she reluctantly got to her feet. "So how did you guys manage to find one?" She walked passed them and started to head down to the dreaded labs with the two following after her.

"We have other ways of finding Magus other than those eyes of yours." One of the soilders sneered.

"Obviously whatever it is isn't good enough if you still need me to identify who the Magus is." She defended. That shut them up, but then she realized what really made them quiet. Torterous screams echoed through out the halls as they entered the underground labratories where heinous experiments were being performed. A shiver went down her spine as she remembered laying on one of the tables herself as they operated on her eyes to make them able to recognize Magus and supply her with their calling name. Her fist clenched. She couldn't wait until the day she got her revenge, but for now she headed toward the room where she knew the new Magus would be at.

Esther was just about to open the door to the cafe until her Magus had protectively swept her under her arm and shielded her from the strange occurrence. All Esther heard was the slight, buzzing sound of the flow of electricity and the closing of a car door; she glanced at Celsius questioningly and the elegant woman only smiled, shaking her head as she opened the door for the little girl.

Esther entered, eyes going wide at all the deserts and cakes; Celsius stood behind her with her arms crossed over her chest. The Magus's eyes narrowed in displeasure and suspicion as she sensed more than 2 of her kind in the small store. "What.. is happening?" she muttered, staring at two rather old-looking men seated nearby. A bit preoccupied, Celsius hadn't noticed her Master swiping a piece of cake off the counter before hearing a crash of shattering plates and a cry of despair.

Esther had the most horrific look on her face as she stooped to examine the mess she made, daintily shoveling the bits of splattered cake onto the shards of broken glass. "Celsius," she mumbled, looking up at her Magus. The tall woman bowed slightly, knowing her command and set about fixing the disarray. The woman's eyes went misty and gray as a mist-like aura enshrouded her body; water appeared from thin air and surrounded the mess on the ground, encasing it in a dainty bubble. The water prison seemed to recede within itself and disappear, leaving the ground spotless.

Gen-Rai shook his head and look closed his eyes as he sipped his Tea. "Valkenhayn, what do you see?" he asked the Old Magus sitting across from him. he knew there were more Magus in this place "how Many Magus do you see in here?" he asked setting his tea down

"Two sir, three including myself" Valkenhayn said politely. "That man over there" he said pointing to Ashrell "and That woman over there" he said pointing towards Celsius "They are Benign for the moment as i can sense no ill will from them" He said sipping his tea again

"Wonderful" Gen-Rai said looking at the Masters. Two young women. "Hmmmm it seems they are getting younger and younger these days" he said to Valkenhayn

Valkenhayn chuckled "remember the Magus chooses it's master, not the other way around" he said smiling towards his own master "it's a very deep bond between Master and Magus

Donny found a table and dropped down into her seat rather gracelessly, stifling a quiet laugh at the little girl’s mishap. How cute. Looking away she noticed Astrell hadn't followed and quickly located him. "Over here sleepy head" she called. He'd wandered to the other side of the room a little figurine sitting on a windowsill had caught his eye. He heard her call but seemed to take his sweet time, lingering for a moment before going to sit with his master.

She gestured toward the female Magus and asked him "why can't you do cool stuff like that?" in a low whisper before grinning. It was obvious she was joking and so he simply shrugged as his lips quirked up slightly into a small smile. He rested his arms on the table and pillowed his head on them, eyes closing. "Those men over there... one of them is a Magus as well... I wonder what he does" he muttered sleepily.

"You could ask" Donny laughed, leaning back in her chair."Though that doesn't always end well." She cringed thinking of a little incident they'd had roughly a week ago involving two rather aggressive persons. "Hm, maybe you shouldn't ask then." She leaned forward, propping her elbows up on the table, resting her head in her hands. "Things have been kind of weird lately don't you think? It seems there's more aggressive Magus roaming around with equally aggressive masters." She sighed and reached out with one hand, petting Astrell's head lazily.

He gave a quiet hum and his smile got a little bigger as he tilted his head slightly, prompting her to scratch his head. "Well... should I go ask?" he questioned softly. "Nah... By the way you're acting like a kitty cat" Donny laughed.

"Really?" He cracked an eye open to look at her and she nodded. "Well... okay."

Gen-Rai sipped his tea, keeping one of his eyes on Ashtrell and his Master the whole time "More and More Magus emerging lately" he said setting his cup down on the table while he looked on at the Pair "What do you make of it Valkenhayn?" the old man asked looking to the Old Magus

"Someone obviously wants a lot of Magus to be on this plain, my guess would be to gain the powers of them all" Valkenhayn said finishing his own tea "however one would hope that was not the case" he said adjusting his white gloves

"indeed that would be bad, what could someone gain from all that power?" Gen-rai said more to himself then anything "if that is thecase we are going to need help" he said looking at the other Magus "Keep a watchful Eye Valkenhayn, though they may not seem like it, they may be enemies" he said

"AS you Wish Sir" Valkenhayn bowed and picked up the tea cups from the table and brought them to the kitchen in the back of the coffee shop

Kyden awoke to a brilliant white light blinding him, even through his blindfold. His body felt numb, more than likely from the tazing. He attempted to sit up and became aware of metal vices pinning him to the metal table on which he lay. He looked around the room. It looked similar to an operating room only more industrial. There were several people standing about performing various tasks. "Ah he is awake it seems." an eerie males voice spoke. A man in a white lab coat and face mask approached the stretcher.

Kyden smirked, "Ya I am...now how about informing me of why I'm here?" he said in very demeaning tone. He lightly pulled at his restraints. They weren't going to break under any amount of force he could muster.

The doctor only laughed. "Oh there's no reason to be coy. We are well aware of what you are. A specialist is coming down as we speak." The nearby assistants began cleaning off surgical equipment and prepping machines for use.

Kyden's tone went from cynical to serious. "Well then you surely know what I am capable of. So here's the deal. Release me and i won't create a new day in history, The AngelTech Massacre." he said the last words with a slow, emphasis.

The doctor only smirked. "On whose command? We are far more educated than you might guess. Now then, let's see what under that blindfold." Kyden jerked his head away, fighting the doctor's fumbling hands. "Assistants, restrain him." The four others that occupied the room came up and held his head still while the doctor removed the black cloth from Kyden's eyes. He pressed his eyelids tightly together, refusing them access. "Assistants, his eyes. Open them." Two began attempting to force his eyelids apart. Kyden trashed upon the table and desperately tried to shake his head away through recurring yells of denial. One assistant retrieved a hand tazer and pressed it to Kyden's chest momentarily.

His eyelids parted ways and the staff stared into them. They became entranced in the swirling metallic blue, green, and reds. Suddenly they grabbed their skulls and began to scream in horrendous agony. "I tried to warn you... Without the command to do so, my power simply never ceases it's grasp upon your mind. Sweet dreams." he said in a low tone as they all collapsed to the floor in a traumatized state, as they would live an eternal nightmare, dreamlike state. Kyden sighed and rested his head back. The blindfold was for other's protection. Not his own.

Esther was quietly sitting at the next table over, swinging her legs as she downed her shortcake in a total of 3 bites. Celsius sat across from the girl, patiently waiting for the child to finish. The woman fidgeted, never seeming to find the right position to relax as she was clearly uncomfortable by the presence of the other Magus within the shop. Though she stopped moving about and focused her icy gaze on Esther as the child pulled at her arm, "Celsius."

Understanding her needs, Celsius nodded resolutely and stood from the table, her height measuring approximately 6 feet. As the Magus was busy getting more cake, Esther had taken an interest in the table next to her, currently being occupied by 2 elderly-looking men. Esther smiled delightedly, having found an object of fascination; she propped her elbow against the table and grinned at the pair. "Oi, Mister? Why do you have so many wrinkles?"

Celsius looked behind her, only to discover her Master trying to start a conversation with one of the Magus she had sensed earlier and his Master. She could only imagine how awkward that conversation would turn out to be and quickly took the fresh piece of cake, striding across the room to get back to Esther.

New screams ricocheted down the hall, and as Cecilia got closer to the room at the very end of the hall, she began to realize that the screams were coming from the room. “What the heck?” She said absentmindedly as she picked up her pace. There was definitely more than one voice, but the soldiers only said that they captured one Magus. The closer she got the more she recognized that the screamers were that of the scientists. The realization almost brought a grin to her face. They were getting what they deserved.

She finally got to the door that did little to deafen the screams from the inside, and with the soldiers on her heel, she entered. The site before her was terrifying. The scientists along with the technicians were sprawled across the floor of the room. Each of them were holding their heads and trying to get into what appeared to be the fetal position as if they were seeing the worse thing imaginable in front of them. If they weren’t trying to cower they were flopping around as if trying to get away. Immediately after she assessed the room she looked at the obvious culprit.

She looked at the silver haired magus, and instantly her biotic eyes began to recognize that he was a Magus, but until he looked at her she couldn’t get all the information on him. She took a step closer to him, and in immediate reaction he looked directly at her. His eyes were the oddest mixture of blue, green, and reds that seemed to be alive as the colors swirled around. The data that started to appear obstructed her view, but it didn’t load all the way. Most of the parts were hazy as if her eyes couldn’t get all the details. All she could tell was that he was a Magus who had some sort of power over dreams and that his calling name was “Lu—ri—m”

“What the hell did you do?” One of the soldiers asked, but didn’t expect to get a reply for he already was running to attack the Magus who was distracted by Cecilia.
Cecilia was momentarily lost as she tried to solve the problem with her eyes, but only one conclusion came to mind. This Magus had to be strong, and if he was strong then he was just the person she was looking for. It was time for her revenge. Her whole plan was to work from inside AngelTech to bring it down, but only because she was under contract of death. Now, hopefully with the help of this Magus, she could work on the outside.

“Contract terminated,” She said with a grin as she grabbed one of the throwing daggers hidden underneath her leather sleeve. She threw the dagger with deadly accuracy at the soldier about to attack the Magus. As the dagger sank deep into his leg, he went down with a yell of pain. Before the soldier behind her could mutter a word, she slammed her foot where the sun didn’t shine. He fell to his knees with a wheeze of pain as she turned her gaze back to the mysterious Magus.

Gen-Rai looked at the girl whom had asked him a question. His face spread into a warm smile "ahh i am but a helpless victim of age young one" he said sipping his tea "eventually we all get wrinkly like this" he said with a kind look

Valkenhayn returned from the kitchen and stood beside his master and chuckled "come now sir, if your old then i must be ancient" he said looking towards the other Magus

"My Name is Gen-Rai and this is my Butler Valkenhayn" he aid as he and Valkenhayn bowed "what may i ask is your name?" he asked kindly

Marcus walked down the street, his hands in his pockets. He looked beside him at Melona, who was holding her left arm. He worried about her. The wind was blowing back her long hair. Sighing as he saw her shiver, he took off his hoodie and put it on her shoulders. Melona jumped, snowflakes falling from her fingers. She blushed madly at the attention, "Th-thank you, M-master..."

Marcus chuckled, "Don't call me Master, Twili... Call me Marcus. You are my friend not my servant. You shouldn't wear just that schoolgirl outfit..." He put an arm around her shoulder and squeezed. Melona blushed deeper, and felt a little disappointed as the side hug ended, "Yes... friends..." When was she ever going to tell him that she loved him? She wasn't ready... She never was ready... She felt him grab her hand.

Marcus smiled, "Come on, Twili... smile a little. Alright, I'll take you to the café for a snack, how does that sound?" He didn't wait for an answer... He pulled her along to the café and entered it. He sat down on a table and indicated a chair to Melona, "Come on, sit down." She nodded, blushing a little and sitting. She shivered a little... She felt two... no, three... Magi in the vicinity.. Looking around, she couldn't tell which of the customers was one... "There are other Magi..."

Marcus blinked, "Really?" He looked at all the customers, "I don't know which ones are Magi though... I've never seen so many... Can they see you?"

Melona shook her head, "No, only you..."

Kyden turned to look as the door opened and three more humans entered, one female, accompanied by two males. He looked at the female, forgetting that he was no longer wearing his blindfold.
