Excuse me sir…

Everyone’s heart has grown so cold…

What do you see here child?

I….see…

You do…? Well then…

Another night, Another Dream.

Aria of The Soul

“We haven’t had a guest in so long…”

You’ve been having a lot of these lately huh? Dreams…and they’ve just been getting more and more strange.

The dream tonight is of no exception. You ‘awaken’ to find yourself in a curious room, bathed in a soft, familiar feeling blue light. Numerous scraps of paper and tattered old tarot cards are scattered among the blue plush carpet. Something compels you to step through further into the musty place.

You can tell, no one has visited this place in years.

On the each of the four walls, there hang four different portraits. Each of young men, one with a single pierced ear, the other with a pair of fiery red eyes, the other a head of messy blue hair, and the final donned a pair of glasses. Each one of these men held a single card, much like the ones scattered on the floor beneath you; except the one’s they held all read ‘Zero’ with the image of a man holding a sack…

And then, a chair appears, in the middle of the room, just behind you.

There’s laughter coming from him, though it holds no hint of joy. It seems the old fellow’s laugh was one of a lost soul. The long nosed man held his head in his hand, muttering the same phrase over and over.

“Welcome to the Velvet Room…”

“Welcome…”

Eventually, his chanting expanded two include two names, one’s that seemed to do his emotions great harm—he was almost brought to tears.

“Elizabeth…”

“Margaret!”

And then, his muttering stopped, and all of the light in the room focused in a single shaft around him. His body became stiff and erect, his posture very formal. A wide smile crept across his face, and he began…

“I have to pull myself together…they’ll be here soon…”

The image around you faded, and the next thing you knew, it was time to get ready for school.

The Talk of the Town?

Pursuing My True Self

Lunar Eclipse, Trouble for Eos Corp?!: A Maya Amano Special Report!

The TV flickers on to reveal the image of a beautiful woman in her early forties, though the twinkle in her violet eyes belonged to someone who couldn’t have been any older than eighteen. The woman stood on a transparent bridge, and in her background was a city of grand, futuristic looking skyscrapers. Around her, people traveled towards the utopia, wide, excited smiles on their faces.

2032, a year full of hopes and dreams. The world has never been more at peace; International relations are at an all time high and the level of technology these days seem to be skyrocketing! And speaking of technology, I’m right out side of what might very well be the grandest of all human inventions: The Floating City Olympus!

Over one million tons in steel, supported by something as small as my laptop back at home, Olympus certainly is THE testament to modern technology. This floating island is nearly ten times the size of New York City itself!

This piece of work is the result of one Super-Conglomerate’s work: Eos Corp, The company that does just about everything, and has beaten out just about every other company. I’d imagine that on the day this baby opened up Sousuke Murakami, the founder and president of the conglomerate felt on top of the world.

But alas, sometimes, things just don’t stay grand.

Just last night, Murakami-San’s daughter Tsuki*-Chan was kidnapped. The suspect has left little to no evidence of their activity, it’s almost as if a ghost was behind the crime. Luna-Chan is only ten years old, and has already been diagnosed with an extreme case of schizophrenia, which only drives authorities to work harder in their search.

When we asked for his thoughts on the incident, Murakami-San refused to give any comment, but he’s no doubt very shaken by the event.

One can only wonder how Murakami-San’s son, Taro-Kun feels.

One can only pray for Luna-Chan’s safety.

I’m Maya Amano with Sakura TV, signing off!

((Note: Tsuki=Moon in Jap, I believe.))

Just Another, Average Day

Here’s where YOU come in.

Brand New Days

It’s the first day of the new school term, and all anyone can talk about is the kidnapping of Tsuki Murakami, the daughter of the Eos Corp founder, that happened last week. The night before, you had a strange dream about a blue, old room, scattered with tarot cards--though you wrote it off as just another strange dream.

On your way home from school, you stumble upon a strange character: what this person looks like, and how they act is completely in your vision. Though, regardless of what they look like, this person asks you for a favor (which is again, to your choosing). As thanks for your help, they give you an old dusty tarot card. This card will be your Persona’s Arcana.

Taking the strange piece of cardboard, you head on home, where you have yet another dream.

Welcome to the Velvet Room.

Burn My Dread

-Persona-

"Thou art I, and I art thou--"

A Persona is a second soul that dwells deep within a person’s heart.
It is an entirely different personality that emerges when a person is confronted with something from outside his world. AKA the Shadows. a Persona is a completely different being that a person calls upon manifest in the physical world. They may be man, beast, Gods, Goddesses, or something in between.

A Persona ability refers to the unique gift that enables a person to summon and use a Persona. Those who are capable of this feat are known as Persona-Users. This ability is humanity’s only hope to defeat the Shadows.

Normally Persona-Users only have the ability to summon one Persona. But there are exceptions to this rule they are called Wild Cards. These Wild Cards are extremely rare individuals that have the unique power to pull multiple Personae from their ‘Sea of Soul’. The number they can bring into battle is limited, but they can have an unlimited number of Personae inside of themselves.

The one who holds the Wild Card technique will be the one to lead the battle against the Shadows. It has always been this way, though I wonder; how long will this last?

Regarding Persona summoning in this RP: This will be done differently from the games, when the time comes, I'll inform you.

-Harmonic Arts-

"Come on kid! Kick the beat!" --Atlas

A sort of combination technique done between a Persona and it's Persona-User. This is only unlocked when a Persona-User fully comes to understand just what their Persona is, how it reflects them, and what they want to use it for. It's an intense skill that draws upon the power of one's true mind and soul.

-Link Arts-

Another weapon in the Persona-User's arsenal, drawing upon the bonds one forges with another. When the souls of two Persona-Users are in harmony, they gain the ability to unleash a devastating attack on their enemy. The two Persona-Users must match 'Frequencies' if you will, meaning they have to be completely bonded with one another, only then can they pull of a Link Art.

-Odyssey-

The final level of a Persona-User's true power. It's a step above the Link Arts, as it draws upon the power of three or more Persona-User's.

When a soul is in true distress, it may call out to others in it's vicinity. These souls link together temporarily, granted they trust each other a decent amount, and merge Arcana. Once merged, these merged Arcana give birth to a new Arcana called 'The World'- to representation of everything around us, and summon Odyssey, the ultimate Persona.

Odyssey's shape and techniques depend entirely upon the initial soul that started the link between the others: say a physically strong soul called upon Odyssey first, then the Persona would manifest in a titanic form. The same would hold true if the one calling upon Odyssey first was a magically adept soul.

Summoning such a power does not come without a price however. When one calls upon something such as Odyssey they are granted a temporary burst of power, ONLY for as long as Odyssey is manifested. The Ultimate Persona can only stay grounded in the physical world for five minutes, and as soon as it leaves, those who summoned upon Odyssey are left physically and mentally drained.

-Persona Evolution-

When one reaches a certain level in life, their true self may finally blossom, bringing forth even a change in their Persona. This may range from something as simple as a change in appearance, all the way to a loss of weakness, or even a change in Arcana. The possibilities are endless.

-The Inspiration-

"If you have enough imagination, and enough inspiration to get it all out...you can do just about any damn thing." --Demetri Maverick

Inspiration are similar to Shadows in the way that they are the parallel to Persona-Users. However these beings have no malevolent intentions, unlike their Shadow brethren. The Inspiration are born from the inner desires of all humans imagination, they only seek to fulfill their creators wish-- whether that be for the greater good, or for evil.

Their size and shape vary, the only limit to their power is the amount of imagination their creator has. Those with low levels of Imagination cannot perceive the Inspiration creatures, meaning normally only children and 'kids at heart' ever see these strange beings.

Social Links

"Think of each person you come across as an individual circuit on an entire circuit board, the board is your power. If they aren't connected...the circuit board doesn't run, meaning your power doesn't work. But connect all the circuits together, the people-- and your power will be nearly limitless. Catch my drift?" --Demetri Maverick

Social Links are bonds a Persona-User forges with others. In this RP, getting to know your fellow player is essential, as doing so grants you new powers and strengths you otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain. The numbers in the stats area of the Links are simply guidelines as to how you're Persona (or character) should be impacted by forging this link. The levels of the links are determined by yours truly, however, you can typically tell yourself when you and another character have reached a new 'level' in your relationship-- in that instance, shoot me a PM and I'll determine if it's Rank-Up worthy.

Rules

The Contract (A.K.A. Da Rules)

Remember that you are Mortal (a.k.a. NO GOD-MODDING!)

0. You don't have to have played the game to join the RP, check the WIKI's I have listed in the code box to stretch your Persona IQ, and remember, Youtube is a gamer's haven.

1. Like said above, please, don’t god-mod. It’s unattractive, and frowned upon by society, if you do it you will be prosecuted to the max. You can very well however, take control of someone else’s character with their permission.

2. Put ‘The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed’ at the beginning of your template.

3. Persona is a series of Mature rated games so the RP will no doubt be mature itself right? Gory, bloody, disturbing scenes and all are welcomed. Romance is all good, so long as it doesn’t take from the actual RP and isn’t well…corny. That grinds my gears.

4. Time flows in this RP, just like in the games. I’ll control the time of day periodically throughout my posts. Now I realize how pushy this sounds, so to make it easier, think of it like this. If it’s 7:00 PM in my post…it can be 3:00 PM in your post. But it CANNOT be 7:05 PM in your post. Got it memorized? (oops…wrong series xD)

5. “My character is Yukiko-San’s daughter!” –Nope, none of that. “I wanna be Akihiko!” – None of that either. Canon characters are OFF LIMITS in this RP. That’s no fun. But that doesn’t mean they won’t appear of course.

6. Put “Sure, The Arcana may be the means by which all is revealed…but can it see what makes the cinnamon toast taste in Cinnamon Toast Crunch?” on top of your template so I know you’ve read EVERYTHING.

7. I’m not the best in the grammar department, and without a spell check, I’m down right atrocious. But I know how to proof read, and how to use a Word Processor. If you don’t you should learn, because that’s a sure fire way to get booted.

8. I’m not a post length nazi, but I’m hoping for at least ONE paragraph per post. Keep it funky! And stay active, maybe at least a post every other day? Preferably more though.

9. ON PERSONAS: I would LIKE custom ones, that’s always fun. But if thou must use an already created one, go ahead. Just don’t chose like…Lucifer or Helel or something…that’s BS. And gets you executed Mitsuru-Senpai style. OH YEAH! Before I forget…Personas are going to be summoned in a new way…just an F.Y.I. ---

10. A huge objective of the game is to get to know one another, increase the bonds between your team. Which means you can't reject people. You don't have to be a people person, you just have to eventually let people in-- that's how bonds are formed.

11. PAY ATTENTION TO OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTS. That grinds my gears when people don't, seriously, if I see you completely ignoring somebody at least twice, I might have to get all 'Angry Astro' on you...and that doesn't happen.

12. *New Rule* Seriously, before you make a character. Please, please, PLEASE. Read EVERYTHING. Not a little, not half, not 99% EVERYTHING. If I see that you're profile obeys absolutely nothing I have wrote in the intro then...consider it ignored. Sorry.

Maestro wrote:To say the least, this was a bit hard to judge because of the Introduction to begin with was a bit disorganized. Otherwise, I’m a bit surprised that the IC portion is rather steady and all of the posters are able to generally keep up. The consistency is a good sign. Plot wasn’t very powerful but this role-play seems to give you freedom to interact with other characters and build up to the story. This however lacks a bit of creativity since it is based off a game and the Introduction, besides being disorganized, is evidences of that. Nonetheless, overall, I think this will make for an active, engaging role-play.

MrMurdoch wrote:My first comment is that the intro post seems to be a bit lacking in the area of organization. However, after one gets through the disorganization, the body seems to be quite nicely written. The intro is quite descriptive, and I like how you described the surroundings; I also though making the intro first person was quite an interesting twist. The intro itself, overall, is somewhat messy, though; it also lacked a definitive plot. Who is the bad guy? Is there a bad guy? Simple things like that really make a story pop. However, overall, the intro is nicely written. You had a few grammatical errors, such as one's supposed to be ones. I likes how you put an image into the intro, however, the length of your intro seems to create a need for a few more graphics. My suggestion would probably be stylized quotes or something similar. Though the intro is nicely written overall, its disorganization eventually led to me losing interest (don't take it personally, I've got a short attention span in the first place) and the fact that it's based off of a video game causes it to lose a little of its shine. However, I like how you described each area in the intro. The roleplay seems to be steadily active, and that indicates that you are doing something right, so I applaud you for that. The posts have a nice structure and depth, though they are a bit long (well, longer than the average roleplay tab post). The characters seem to have nice depth, but they are a bit lacking in some areas. Nonetheless, this can easily be fixed with some character development. But besides this, your roleplay seems to have a nice deal of potential! Keep working on it a little, and maybe clean up and tweak the first post and you'll have a great roleplay in no time!

# The Floating City Olympus, 2010-09-05 20:46:47, as written by Astro_B0Y
The Beginning

A single blue butterfly floated through the slumbering city. Now, if anyone was awake to see this, it would be quite a sight. Olympus, this floating city was much to high an altitude for insects to thrive here, so by what kind of enchantment did this peculiar winged visitor arrive? The way it traveled, the butterfly appeared to have a set destination in mind. The Residential District-- that was where it was headed.

Oddly enough, this city hardly ever seemed to slumber like this. Normally, it was essentially the 'city that never slept'. But tonight, Olympus was quite the opposite. Tonight, the townspeople slept with one big, unanimous snore. How did the story go? 'Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse'. That is, not a creature was stirring, except for the peculiar butterfly.

Finally, it reached its destination, the Residential District. Now, as it fluttered through the air, it spread a glittering blue dust about. It passed through several windows, letting its sparkles drift into their rooms, and disappear among the covers they slept in.

One of these rooms the butterfly fluttered past belonged to Xavier Wallace; a young man who was looking forward immensely to his senior year at Ida High. Now, up until the curious little insect passed by his room, Xavier was sleeping soundly. But the moment the butterfly cast its glitter into his room...he drifted into a dream.

There was a flash of blue light, but it wasn't a forceful one. This light was soft, dim almost. From somewhere around him, a broken record played. Over and over again, the woman on the tune repeated the same three notes of her aria, and the man on the keys barely made it into his solo. It was on the third loop of this fractured melody that Xavier's world finally began to materialize.

He was standing in front of the doors of an all dark blue room. His first instinct was to get out of the dusty, musty place. It's broken record player, turned over tables and carpet littered with tattered tarot cards all served to be way to eerie for his liking. But as he turned to face the white, double doors behind him, they completely disappeared, clearly, never to be open again.

With a curse under his breath, and a bite of the lip, Xavier figured the only thing he could do, was take a look at the run down place. On the peeling walls, all four of them, four different pictures were mounted. Each wall held the image of a young man, all wearing high school uniforms.

The first, on the southern wall, where the doors once were, hanged the picture of a boy with a pierced ear. His eyes screamed out of loss. On the western wall, was the image of a boy with fiery red eyes, and a head of hair to match. His stern face looked almost emotionless. On the eastern wall was the faded image of a boy with blue hair and violet eyes-- this one was in the worst condition of the paintings. And on the final painting, on the northern wall of the blue room was of a gray-haired lad, who donned a pair of square framed glasses. The emotion in his eyes was hope, so much of it. It was the brightest of the images.

Xavier was confused, just what kind of dream was this? What the hell wa she doing before he went to sleep that caused him to dream of this place.
And then, the looped music came to a stop, with a shrieking screech of the record player's needle. All of the light in the room focused dead into the center of the room, just a few feet behind him.

Where the light focused, there was a turned up chair, and a funny looking old man that he was sure weren't there before. The man let out a broken laughter as soon as the light focused on him. He held his head in his hands, shaking it uncontrollably. Over and over again, he muttered out the same few things.

"Welcome...wel...come..."

"To the Velvet Room....!"

"We haven't had a...."

"Yes...a guest..."

"Very long time..."

Eventually, he let out a terrifying scream, one that almost caused Xavier to fall back. The old man was crying now, he stopped shaking his head and place his hands firmly against his soaked cheeks.

"Elizabeth...Margaret...where...are my....?"

And then, it was like a switch was turned on somewhere within the man's consciousness. His sobbing stopped, and his entire body became erect. He began, with an extremely still voice;

"Yes...I have to get ready...the guests...they'll be here soon."

"The guests?" Xavier asked, and with that, the same flash of light appeared, and the world around him melted away.

There was the feeling of the warm sunlight...

The smell of burnt breakfast...

The sound of the alarm clock...

6:20. April 1st, 2032.

The first day of the new term...it was time to get moving.

* * *

Elsewhere, in the tallest skyscraper in all of Olympus, a young boy lie awake, sitting at the edge of his bed. He was dressed in his pajamas, but he hadn't had a wink of sleep. Instead, he sat there, rocking back and forth with that same glazed expression on his face. The boy turned his head only slightly to watch as the sun slowly shined it's light through the silk curtain on his left wall (( the entire wall was glass )). There was a knock at the door, and with a sigh, he slowly rose from the spot he had been in for over eight hours.

Heartbeat, Heartbreak

The smacking of his bare feet against the black and white marble tile echoed off the extremely tall walls of the barren room.

"Taro-Sama?" A young voice called out from behind the door, it was his caretaker Elizabeth. Despite her being his one true friend, he just didn't feel like talking to anyone, not eve her. Still though, he'd been locked in his room ever since the incident last week, if he didn't give some indication he was still alive the workers might have an aneurism. "Taro, let me in!" She hollered, quickly growing frustrated.

"Alright! I'm opening it." He snapped, swinging the door open with so much force, the knob almost busted a hole in the wall to the side of it. Elizabeth wasn't too old herself, she was no older than her early twenties, quite young to be a caretaker for the heir to a dynasty. She had bright yellow eyes, porcelain skin, and short blonde hair. Normally she dressed quite nicely, but this morning, she was still in her lounging clothes, a pair of blue jeans and a pink shirt with a white cat on it. The woman now stood there, arms crossed, body erect, eyes staring him down with a mixture of fury and pity.

Elizabeth let out a deep sigh, "Geez Taro-kun...you've been in here forever," She looked at his face, he was looking at the floor, frowning at his reflection. "When are you going to stop blaming yourself? Hm?" The caretaker's face hardened as she looked him up and down, she reached for his face with her hand, grabbing it and turning it her way. He pinched his cheeks hard, so he knew she meant business. "Hm?!"

"Tch, let go of me." Taro shook himself free, and made for the door, shoving her out of his way. "I'm getting something to eat." He pouted, upset by his 'scolding'.

"Taro..." She hook her head, watching him head down the hall.

Saiya was drifting in the dream when her alarm went off. 5:30. Sluggishly her mind forced her to come back into reality and her eyes opened. She had her room in the tower of their mansion, right under the roof. Since she was so high she had a wrap around balcony and her room was circular. Carefully sitting up she blinked a few times to clear the sleep dust from her eyes and looked around. It was her same old room. Large windows on one half the wall, the french doors to the balcony, the small door that led to her private bathroom. Her guitar and music paraphanalia filled the room in a neat kind of way. Her bed was on the solid side of her room and was rather simple considering her wealth. Nix, her border collie, still slept at the end of her bed and her stuffed animals still filled the shelves along the east wall. Along the west wall were all her books, music scores, dvds, everything. It also held her precious bow.

The dream had been weird Saiya mused as she nudged Nix with her toes. Creepy man, creepy room. Heck, creepy voice. That and it made no sense. Not to mention the strange pictures on the wall. She had been drawn to the silver haired boy with glasses, barely looking at the others. She also thought on the tarot cards. In the dream she had gone up to them to look at them but they were meaningless to her. They were beautiful though despite her ignorance of their meanings. Carefully she had set a couple of tables upright - even though it had been a dream - and just as carefully placed the old tarot cards onto them. She hadn't been able to bear covering any of the faces on the cards so she had laid them out one beside the other before moving on. To the hallway with that picture.

Shrugging it aside so that it stopped bothering her for now she got out of bed with Nix at her heels. She took her shower - with Nix waiting outside the bathroom - and got dressed. Then she checked her bag to make sure she had everything and out of habit hooked up the belt for her bow. It looked normal enough except for a small pack resting on the base of her spine. It held a very expensive unit which would atomize her bow, store it there, and release it into her hands upon her use of the key word. It had come with the bow and was voice activated. Carefully she packed her bow into it, grabbed her guitar in its case and went downstairs to the kitchen.

As Saiya fixed her breakfast and gave Nix a small something she contemplated the fact that she had doned her bow. She must be more freaked out about the dream than she thought she originally had been. the bow was used for sport yes, but was still highly lethal. She had taken it for protection. Laughing at herself she ate her toast and prepared to leave, slinging her shoulder bag over her head before doing the same with her guitar, one on her hip on down her back. Unknowingly she was humming the music she had heard in the dream. Those same few broken notes.

She left her bow stored and ready for use in it's pack.

Miki looked at the man "high school? I'm just a robot i cant attend high school." the man smiled
"you can Miki all you have to do is attend and let the teenagers know that you can act human too." Miki stared not pleased with this decision "go charge up for the night we will send someone down to get you when time is ready." She nodded her head and went to her room robots didn't really sleep more of charged, but when she was ready to be charged she sat in a chair and closed her eyes.
a frail skinny man appeared "welcome to the velvet room." he told her why she was having dreams even though she was a robot they never had dreams, then he told her about personas and arcanas.

Miki woke up to the sound of her door being knocked on, a girl appeared and handed me my class scheduled. the girl walked me to my high school then we split into homerooms the teacher appeared and said "this is Miki try to welcome her into our school like what we did with you." i sat in my seat i knew almost everything they said in school because back when i was being built they told me things i must know. when it came to be lunch time Miki didn't eat cause she was a robot not a human though she wanted to know what sushi tasted like she was curious but then it would rot in her stomach forever until she breaks down, Miki sat in the corner of the lunch room by herself.

Xavier was running late, but he didn’t care. With his toothbrush still hanging from his mouth, he rushed from the bathroom to his bedroom to throw on his clothes.

“That’ll do…”

After about five minutes of contemplation, Xavier slid on a pair of fitted dark blue levis and a black graphic tee, complete with the image of the classic Final Fantasy black mage. His siblings were already off to start their day, though his little sister (the oldest of the two youngsters) left him a note on the fridge, instructing him to at least grab a piece of toast and eat it on the way, she was considerate like that. On the kitchen counter sat his pair of black square-framed glasses, right next to an old tattered paper-back copy of ‘As You Like It’, classic Shakespeare. Xavier was reading it the night before; every now and then he sat the Playstation controller down to stretch his mind with an excerpt from the classics. With a yawn, the young man grabbed his glasses and slid them onto his face, and tucked the paperback into his rear pocket, and headed on out the door.

Changing Seasons/School Term 1 Theme

The trek to the high school was still a ways away from his apartment, for his apartment lay on the out most ring on the district, while the school situated itself in the center. Not only that, but traffic was normally horrible this time of day, what with students and adults alike rushing off to start their long day of tasks and monotony. With a groan, Xavier shoved his silver car key into the ignition of his black junk heap. With a sound only described as…clank! clank! clunk! Vr-vr-vra-vrooooom! It started up, immediately starting in the middle of the CD left inside the player.

The tunes provided a nice, soft backdrop for the first morning of school. The soothing sounds of a high-pitched songstress, backed up by an upbeat tempo and an energizing fanfare from the horns, it was a nice little tune: he’d have to thank his friend for letting him borrow the disc. With a smirk, he turned up the sounds, and peeled on out the empty apartment parking lot.

“Bum…bum, bada bada bum bum….” He hummed the entire way.

· * *

The walkway to Ida High was surrounded by a beautiful garden, filled with colorful flowers of all types, and they all stayed in glorious bloom, no matter what the season. A white cobblestone walkway led to the tall, circular high school. It was a nice, long path, nice only because of the variation of smells from the flowers on your sides. In the middle of the circular school Ida, there was a tall, cone shaped tower, around that was a round observation box, four years here, and Xavier still didn’t know what that box was used for, just like the mysterious fifth floor of the main complex.

He parked his car, and made way for the garden walkway, thankfully there was still a steady flow of students heading in. Xavier couldn’t help but crack a smile at the various conversations he heard as he entered, all the while, still humming the tune from his car.

Sheesh…another term already huh?
Yep…hey Senpai, whose homeroom you got?
Ah…I dunno, I gotta check in the lobby first, I hope it isn’t Professor Volt…
Is he really that bad?
Ugh…pray you never find out yourself.

Hey, you saw Maya Amano’s report about that executive’s daughter getting kidnapped?
Yeah, it’s scary isn’t it? I heard she had mental problems too…I hope she’s alright.
I know right? I heard she had a twin brother…I wonder how he’s taking it.
Probably not to well.

The daughter of the Eos Corporation President, Tsuki Murakami. That’s been a hot topic for the past week. It was a sad story indeed, the girl wasn’t anything by thirteen, Xavier couldn’t imagine how scared the kid was.

Hey Xavier! A group called out to him as he stepped through the double doors to Ida.

“Yo.” He gave the group of kids a small wave, sophomores he had helped ‘mentor’ his junior year.

It was a glamorous looking place, marble floors winding halls, giant spiral stairways, but his favorite part about it all was how the entire set of walls on the western half of the first floor were glass, bathing everything in warm sunlight throughout the day.

In the middle of the first-floor lobby floor was the depiction of the school’s monogram: a single white broad sword, being coiled by two black dragons. Principle Shu said it represented something about harmony and the balance of ignorance and enlightenment or something along the lines of that, the man spoke so much Xavier pretty much ignored him half the time. A bell chimed over the P.A. system, announcements already, it was a woman’s voice.

Remember students, there will be an assembly for all students in the fourth floor auditorium. Head there as soon as you find your homeroom assignments. I repeat…

Xavier was already headed for the billboard posted in the lobby, a crowd of kids clamored around to either see where they were assigned, or to compare and contrast their listings with their friends. Using his size, Xavier waded through the crowd with ease, not that many stood in the giant’s path though.

“Ahhhh….” He used his finger to file through the senior listings, 3-A? Nope…3-B? Nope…ah, there he was! 3-C with…”Shit. Professor Volt…” The young man’s heart cracked into thirty little pieces at the listing, Professor Volt had been his nemesis ever since he first enrolled in Ida High freshman year, he gave him a hard time about his record with fights back in elementary and middle school. For the most part, Xavier shrugged it off, but sometimes he went overboard—Volt didn’t know when to quit.

7:05, the assembly’s about to start! Let’s hurry!

Time sure did fly.

With a final sigh of depression at his homeroom, Xavier followed the trail of students up a flight of stairs, headed for the auditorium on the fourth floor.

Juro was accustomed to having weird dreams. He worked at a place where it was considered odd if you didn't see an elf chopping a dragon in half and a robot blowing up a starship within the same hour of each other and this bouncing about between genres affected him subconsciously. This one was...insane though. His dreams tended to be narmy and cliche, giant musclebound warriors riding surf boards in space with pecs so greased up that you could drag your finger across them and use that to oil your car for the next few years would fight unmentionable evils and save the day from certain doom. The dream he'd had was surreal though and so vivid that Juro found himself playing it over and over in his head as he showered and slipped his clothes on, a pair of black pants and a blue dress shirt. He stuck his earpieces in and flipped on The Flaming Lips, then he looked at the clock.

Juro switched off his earpieces as he ran through the city. A jump over a railing, ducking under a stall, the city had just woken up and was still blearily scratching it eyes in confusion at this overactive gnat buzzing across its surface. He took a moment to buy a Pigmy Canna from his usual stand, slamming the money down as he ran. He was a man of routine and even the slight set back of waking up thirty minutes too late for his regular leisurely stroll to school couldn't stop him from getting his Canna. After all, what's a man without style? He tucked the Canna into the yoke of his dress shirt and took a left at the intersection up ahead, this lead him into the maw of an underground parking complex that he hurried through. It wasn't normally this empty or this cold down there and he hurried through before something dropped down from the roof and laid eggs in his stomach. He emerged from the other side near the drop off area in the school and sighed in relief as he realized that there wasn't a single car in the parking lot.

He stared at it for a few seconds before his brain put two and two together and he slumped up against a wall."At least I'm not late." He muttered, finding a comfortable seat on the edge of the sidewalk. That's when he started thinking; now Juro was thankful for the distraction that mistaking the time had given him because he started to think about the room again. It wasn't the creepy old man or the creepy pictures that really scared him about it,no it was the thought that what he was looking at had once been beautiful. That he was staring at a relic, staring at the shattered bones of something wonderful. He shuddered a bit and gripped his legs tighter, just waiting for the bell to ring.

When it finally did he headed straight for the bathroom to spruce himself up and adjust his hair. He took his piercings out because of school policy and kept them in his booksack until the end of school. He seamlessly joined the giant mob of students trudging through the school and just followed it to auditorium. He drifted with the crowd to check out his schedule and drifted out with his nirvana like state of happiness slightly dented."Volt...damn."

6:12

Daniel woke up with a start, sweat running down his face and bare torso. He liked to sleep topless, otherwise he would feel uncomfortable. Panting, he was sure he had just woken up from a nightmare.
Sunlight streamed in from half closed curtains in his bedroom in a rather pleasant apartment in Olympus. The room itself was larger than average with cream coloured walls. In the upper left corner of the bedroom was a wooden desk, books piled on top next to a digital clock. In the upper right, a wardrobe and in the bottom right, a door leading into a corridor. A few cardboard boxes were sitting on a fairly plain rug in the middle of the room. The rest of the room was filled with empty space. The Gray family had only recently moved here.
Daniel stared at the clock. 06:12 was displayed in glowing red digits. This had to be the earliest Daniel had ever woken up on a school day, and usually he had to be woken up by his mother or an alarm. Climbing out of bed and changing into a red checkered shirt and jeans, he began to slowly recall the strange dream he had. The strange man, the haunting tune, the portraits.
Shaking his head, Daniel focused on what was important at the moment: school. He would soon be attending his first class as a student of Ida High. He wasn't particularly excited about this he didnt have much interest in school, although he did try to do well.
Daniel's mother was waiting for him in the kitchen, sitting at a table eating muesli. A 42 year old brunette, Elenor Gray was a doctor back in Birmingham, but in Olympus, she didn't have to work,as her husband had gotten a job working with Eos in Olympus. It was thanks to Eos they had this apartment, located in a friendly area and comfortable. Very comfortable.
Elenor cocked an eyebrow as she saw Daniel entering the kitchen.
"You're up early," she said.
All Daniel said in reply was a "Good morning". He was never talkative in the morning. Neither was his mum.
When he was finished eating breakfast, he took a shower, sprayed deoderant, brushed his teeth, the usual. His mother drove him to school and after being dropped off, Daniel checked his watch which said 6:48. Then he looked up, seeing Ida High in all of it's glory. It was grand, and as he went further in the marble decorated building, he was more amazed. But he had a class to get to. Which reminded him. Which class was he in? He could hear the chattering students around him. He picked up the name "Tsuki Murakami" from the conversations. He sighed. No one did not know who Tsuki Murakami was. The young girl had been kidnapped and of course, because she was the daughter of the president of Eos, the media were all over it.
Daniel finally found the class listing in the lobby. Finding his name, he mentally noted down to himself: 2A, not bothering to check the teachers name and as he was about to set off to find his homeroom, he heard the PA announcement to head to the assembly room. Not knowing where to go and noticing some students around his age heading upstairs, he followed them, hoping he was going the right way.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-

The incessant ringing of the alarm clock halted as Jason slammed his right hand on the snooze button. Lazily looking at the clock, he sighed.

6:15. Well, time to get moving.

Jason got out of bed, stretched, and attached his mechanical arm, which was laying on his messy desk. After changing into a pair of worn blue jeans and a dark blue shirt, Jason hauled anything he needed into his bag. Vaguely recalling the odd dream he had, Jason sat down on his bed, and began wondering the meaning of that. Five minutes later, though, someone had knocked on the door the Jason's room.

"Jason, I've got to go to work early today, so you'll have to go to school by yourself."

Jason replied with a simple "Yes, Uncle Mark." A few minutes later, after Mark left, Jason opened his room door, and walked towards the kitchen. Making a quick sandwich, he opened the main door, and walked out. He knew the way to Ida High, so he made his way through the crowded streets of the residential district, grabbing the local newspaper along the way. Arriving at school at around 6:45, Jason quickly went to check his homeroom.

Volt? Damn. This won't be good. thought Jason. He had heard about Volt from the others, and it wasn't pretty. Jason sighed, and he sat down on a nearby flight of stairs, and flipped through the newspaper. There was still the story and investigation of the Eos Corp. President's daughter, Tsuki Murakami. Aside from that, it was normal. Tearing away the crossword page, Jason tossed the rest of the newspaper away in the nearest trash bin. As soon as he did that, the speakers crackled to life, and announced that there would be a meeting in the auditorium on the fourth floor. Not wanting to fall prey to the eventual zerg rush of late students, Jason quickly made his way upstairs, thinking about the odd dream on his way there.

Despite her wealth Saiya took the trains to school. She shuffled through the crowds and jostled for a place near the doors. Sure it wasn’t convient to protect her place every time the doors opened and people moved on and off but she needed to be there. The doors showed where they were stopping and she did not want to miss the drop off for school. It took maybe five minutes for her to get there and she got out of the train with a group of students. The high school was busy as they were early in the morning and she found herself being mindful of where her guitar was. She didn't want it to get damaged out of her carelessness. Unsure what to do since it ran different from Canadian schools Saiya asked around. A couple students totally ignored her, a couple laugh and only one answered her kindly. Where had she moved to? Oh well, teenagers must be the same everywhere she assumed.

Following the other student's instructions she went over to the board all the students were standing at. She searched carefully for her homeroom and found that she was in 3-C with a Mr. Volt. The students around her were all talking about their rooms or the Eos president's kidnapped daughter. Saiya had heard the story from her father and felt for the family. It was really sad and unfortunate, but so would be the kidnapping of child. She didn’t really like how everyone was treating this as something extra special just because of her father's importance. Saiya found herself no more compassionate than she would have it been someone else's daughter. She also knew that she felt these things reservedly; they were emotions for a stranger after all. It didn't fill her mind most of the time as it would if the kidnapped girl had been someone she knew. Her brain knew it wouldn't affect her so it moderated how much she felt over it. Cold she supposed but there it was. Having memorized the map of the school earlier she found her way easily to her homeroom. She wasn't sure why but the students all look unhappy to be in this class. Maybe it was the first day of school, or maybe it was the teacher. She looked around the room and chose a seat near a window.

She sat there until the assembly was about to start and she followed the other students out, down the stairs and to the auditorium.

Xavier quietly took a seat in the front row, which was designated for Volt’s homeroom. He took a quick glance up and down the row, just to see if the teacher was around, and thankfully he was nowhere to be found. A lot students sat down, but not the old fart himself, relieved the student let out a deep breath.

“Phew…” Xavier slumped into his seat, causing his legs to stretch out and block the way to the end of the row. His mind wandered to thoughts on who he would have homeroom with this year, hopefully they would be someone fun. It was surprising enough to him that he was the one of the first in the class to arrive: a rare occurrence indeed.

After a while, a round face popped from the side of the stage. It was Principle Shu. He was a short, middle-aged man with scraggly white hair and a chubby frame. Principle Shu wasn’t all that bad, he was a hard ass, but he did care about their education, which was more than he could say for a lot of people in his position. Normally, principles only cared about their school’s reputation, Shu cared about that too, but not more than the kids, and that was great. In his brown suit, with his chubby hands behind his back, the man bounced across the stage and to the podium in the center of it. The aides had placed a small stool there for him to stand on, because the principle was very short, very, very short. He cleared his throat, and gripped the tiny microphone on top of the wooden box.

“Students,” He began, almond shaped eyes scanning the sea of young people, “Students,” He began again, still not getting a response from them all, he cleared his throat yet again, and leaned over the podium just a bit, “STUDENTS!” at that moment, all noise the in auditorium ceased to exist.

“Sheesh…” Xavier sat up in his seat, not wanting Principle Shu to bust him for slouching. With a mock-interested gaze the senior watched the man begin his speech, an aura of pride radiating from the little man as he did.

“I’d like to welcome you all to yet another glorious term at Ida High, while I see many familiar, bright, eager to learn faces in today’s crowd, I also see many new ones. It is my hope that each and everyone of you newcomers come to love these halls as much as I do…”

Not even five minutes into the speech, Xavier already felt himself losing consciousness.

5:05

The day started in a pretty rough way. It was like the sound of hundreds of whistles resonating in the whole room , Kari woke up wondering how her roommate was able to continue sleeping while four alarm clocks rang furiously without anyone stopping them. She slowly dragged herself out of the bed letting the alarm clocks continue their loud song. To her it wasn´t a good idea to share a full apartment with another person, but according to her uncle sharing rooms with another person, great coincidence a freshman in Ida high, was the best way to start changing. Living with the freshman girl was easy despite that she talked a lot and the exaggerated amount of clocks to woke up.

Kari dragged her feet moving slowly to the bathroom trying to wake up as she tried to remember the dream that she had that night,it was pretty strange and definitely not normal, while the sound of the alarm clocks finally went out followed by a long yawn, with a weak smile Kari glanced to the mirror watching herself, obviously, with the same weak look one eye full of life and the other looking dead or it would be better to say that it looked empty and that Made Kari tremble finally remembering the dream completely, in it a strange man that had the same lost sight as her as if he was lost. The smile of a brown haired girl reflected in the mirror, but just before she could say anything Kari raised her left hand not letting her continue she wasn´t in the mood to enter in a long conversation about her dreams.

With a quick pace she returned to room where she started to look for something to wear to school, after grabbing some black clothes that looked very close to a uniform then after a moment of doubt she prepare quickly a light breakfast for two, she knew her roommate good enough now to know that she would spent the rest of the morning bathing and preparing for school and that she would be probably be late at the end, a whistle full of gratitude made her turn to see once more the drowsy roommate smiling while she handed Kari her eye patch, which she received only nodding her head.

After eating her half of what she prepared and cleaning the dishes Kari left the apartment walking in a slow pace to the school, after all she still had an hour and a half to reach it, walking wasn´t that bad it would help her to clean her mind from the strange dream.

Walking did work so much that she even arrive late to school. "At least not so late to hear the principle´s speech" Kari remembered the old man as she ran to the auditorium after hearing some other students talking about it. She liked his "style" a lot, after all what other principle would accept a girl with the record she owned? Kari stop harshly almost falling in the floor, the speech had already started after a moment she crossed her arms over her chest hearing with attention wondering if it wouldn´t be better to go and check in which class was she.

Saiya followed the crowd into the auditorium and followed a boy she recognized from her homeroom. She sat down beside him but was careful to keep her personal distance, even if the task was harder than normal due to his slouching. She didn't like being in the auditorium for an assembly. She was too worried about leaving her guitar alone. However even she would never dare try to bring it to something like this. It just wouldn't fit and she wouldn't want trouble on the first day. Her head fell down on a sigh and it rested on her collar bones until she heard footsteps over top of the students chatter. Curious to see if the ordeal would begin she looked up to see the shortest man she had ever seen come onto the stage. Saiya blinked and looked again. He was still short. The fact that he had to climb onto a stool was kind of cute when she thought about it. Tilting her head she decided he reminded her of a puppy. For some reason this made her think of the fact that she had yet to meet her homeroom teacher. Quickly she looked up and down the row but saw only students. Leaning back a bit in her seat she wondered what kind of person he was. Heck, she would settle for what he looked like. Saiya knew that she would eventually have seen far too much of the man but right now she wanted to know who he was. Even if he ended up being someone she wanted to avoid she would need to know what he looked and sounded like. Hopefully she and he would get along better than her previous teachers got along with her. Teachers in Toronto had made her evil for her money and otherwise despised her. It wasn't her fault she had a rich dad and they didn't. She had known that she couldn't be sick much - or get written up as a skip - or be late - also get written up as a skip. Her homework was always in on time in front of witnesses. Saiya had become quite the proper little student that most teachers would kill to have. Her teachers hated her 'pompous rich snotty' butt all the more for it. They hadn't been able to do anything to her though and that was the goal. Besides she had friends to like her, she didn't need the teachers to.

The man's speech began drawing her attention and she was somewhat disappointed to find that it was basically the same one she would have gotten in Toronto. But she would listen to every word since she wouldn't want to miss anything important. On the odd - slim to none - chance that something important was inserted to the standard principal dialogue. The boy beside her began to slip in his seat and with shock she realised that he was falling asleep. In the front row. During the principal's speech. Saiya debated it quickly and decided to wake him up just in case he could get in trouble for it. Carefully and surreptitiously she nudged his arm with her elbow. Hopefully that was all that was needed to get him out of the pre-sleep he was in.

“Which brings me to my stay at my uncle’s cottage, back in 2007…it was springtime, perhaps the warmest springtime you had ever felt, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, there was a…”

Just as Xavier’s consciousness was all but lost, and he slipped into that alluring darkness of rest, he was knocked back to the real world; the result of another student’s nudge. Wearily, and just a bit agitated, he turned his head to see who the jerk was that decided it was a good idea to wake him up: they had to be new if they woke Xavier of all people up from his ritual 1st period sleep. To his surprise though, the face next to him wasn’t one he was familiar with, and he knew just about everyone in this building. It was a girl, porcelain skin, long brown hair, and a soft looking face—eh, he could let this incident slide.

“My dog, his name was Tohmas heard a sound from the well, and imagine my surprise when we found a young girl there!”

“Huh…” He mumbled, still trying to match the girl’s face with a name. Again and again, he drew a blank, she must have been new. “Thanks for waking me up,” Xavier smiled and turned his head back up towards the principle, knee deep in his ramblings. “I’ve never seen you here before, must be new hm?” He tilted his head just a bit her way, looking at her from his peripheral vision, “I’m Xavier…shitty luck though, getting stuck in a homeroom with Voltron.” Simply uttering the name of the goblin of a man sent a shiver down not only his spine, but down the other student’s in the vicinity of the conversation. Gingerly, the young man scanned the immediate area for any sign of the teacher: there were no rain clouds in the room, so they were in the clear.

“Now, I remember my mother always told me, no matter how enlightened you become, you must always remember you’re still just an ignorant human! How harsh did she sound to me! But I took those words to heart, and they drove me in my endeavors to pursue knowledge and…”

Principle Shu was in rare form this morning, rare form indeed.

Kianne was sitting in amongst the crowd, sitting in the middle amongst all the other freshman. She watched the principal as he talked, though her dark eyes were glazed over. Her mind wandered back to the dream from the night before. It was so strange, eerie almost. The fractured song played over and over in her mind, the words of the bipolar creepy man echoing in the background. She'd had some strange dreams in her time, but nothing as strange as that before. It made her glad to hear her alarm, even if that did mean getting up at the crack of dawn.

In her dazed and confused state, she'd managed to scrape her hair back into her two long pigtails, brushing her fringe forward to cover her forehead. She'd picked out a denim skirt, a black and white checked shirt and black cardigan. Thick black tights covered her legs, still not able to go without them with the odd chill in the air, heavy black boots carrying her feet today. After a piece of toast and a quick cup of tea, she'd managed to drag herself into school with enough time to check her homeroom and edge her way into the assembly.

Principle Shu's words came fading in and out as she continued to think about last night's dream. There were so many little details that she couldn't think where they may have come from. Tarot cards? She'd never touched a deck before, looked at them for long enough to know what each looked like. But there they were, all beautifully put together. And where had the creepy old man come from? These thoughts along with the eerie music sent shivers down her spine, bringing her back to reality once more.

There had always been one mystery he could not solve. Known as one of the Forensic Genius' of his time, there were many things he could do that others could not when revealing the truth. The case, a long time ago- before he was officially graduated with a degree in Medical Science happened before he touched puberty. It was a boy who had died a death in a seemingly completely natural age despite all the forces driving against it at the age of sixteen or seventeen. Nobody offered any clues regarding his death, not even his friends.

Even now, forensic science cannot shed light on some things. The fog of mystery still remains, eventually somewhere humans themselves will never be able to touch.

6:10 AM- Olympus Police Headquarters

"Early as usual for work?"

"Always. No sense not to."

The office, persay was not really an office for Brooker Tsu. While it did comprise of a large corner desk and hi-tech computer supplied by those of the Intelligence department, it consisted mostly of the dead. Those still with flesh were cooled in cryo chambers, kept as fresh as the day they died for whatever reason. Those who only remain as bone and stone, they were kept in a carefully sealed room near the back. A large table very similar to an operating table stood in the middle of the room, used to examine corpses.

A fairly short and slim man entered the office, turning on the lights. The cryo chambers were already on, as they should be to preserve the bodies of those who have perished. He checked his table, and his agenda for today was to make his way through the many bodies that are "causing the power bill to shoot through the heavens". Olympus was a big place, and not many people specialized in Forensic science. Therefore, surrounding places sent their bodies to Brooker for an analysis.

"Today's victim... Twenty year old body found half-rotted on the riverbed not too long far away from the next city. No clues yet, no hints besides his age as suspected. Hmm. Skull structure makes it easy enough to discern that it is an African male, if the skin color itself didn't reveal otherwise. Black hair." He traced the lines of the most rotted points. "Most progression is in the solar plexus area, most likely the cause of death as I see no other signs of deep trauma. Line of decomposition reveals a symmetrical shape in a horizontal line. Possibly a knife..."

It seemed like a fairly common case of a mugging gone wrong. The victim seemed to have struggled, and during the ensuing fight was slashed across the gut by a fairly large knife- possibly a large chopping kitchen knife. No other indications of a alternative scenario yet, as clues were yet to be divulged from the scene itself, and witnesses have yet to stand up.

Gathering as much information as he could, he placed the body back into it's respective chamber and flicked on the computer. He noted the Tarot Card he had printed out a long time ago hanging in the corner. The Hierophant card. Suited him, as the Hierophant was a seeker of truth- something he was. He had his power of Persona for a long time, back when he started working as a Forensic Scientist when he graduated almost ten years ago.

Curious, Brooker had begun a secretive surveillance on those who might have similar powers. He found many of them resided in teenages, not yet even out of High School. The thought of it angered the Corpse Detective, realizing that great power resided in those who did not deserve it. Of course, he never asked for his power, but why would he be the one to receive it so late? These bratty boys and girls did nothing to earn their power.

Because his line of work was within the Intelligence branch, he was offered the best identification systems money could buy. He knew every single person who he suspected had powers of Persona through this. Now.... What to do with it?

Lacing his fingers together, Brooker Tsu stared into the screen of the computer in the process of starting up.

Daniel found focusing on the Principle Shu to be hard, and he already found his eyes wandering, scanning the auditorium. He didn't dare move his head, in case he would get in trouble, so his sight was limited to the people in front of him. Checking his watch, hands folded on his lap, he prayed the speech would end soon. Back in England, speeches weren't nearly this long, not even in expensive schools. The headmasters prefered to just say a few words to welcome everybody back from a long summer holiday, then send them off to class. But at least Principal Shu was passionate, although frustratingly boring.

“Which brings me to my stay at my uncle’s cottage, back in 2007…it was springtime, perhaps the warmest springtime you had ever felt, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, there was a…”

"Oh God, he's starting to talk about his past. Shit, shit SHIT!"

Indeed, this would be loooooooong speech.

Saiya gave a small smile to the boy. He seemed nice, he even thanked her. She hadn’t expected any recognition at all, and even if his apology was insincere or sarcastic she would take it as if he meant it. When she spoke to him she spoke out of the corner of her mouth. Her mouth movements were hard to see – like a ventriloquist – and her voice was just loud enough to carry to Xavier. Having mastered the technique in Toronto she gave every appearance of paying attention to the principal.

“You are quite welcome. I didn’t want you to get in trouble the first day of school from falling asleep during the principal’s speech. Especially since you don’t really have anyone to hide behind. I can’t say I blame you though, school here starts horrifically early.” She took a small breath – equally unnoticeable – and continued talking the same way. “A pleasure to meet you Xavier, I’m Saiya. Yes I am new here, just moved to Olympus for dad’s work. You must know everyone pretty well to guess that right away.” She took another small breath. Even though she was an expert at this, the quieter her voice went when doing it the more often she had to take a breath. Saiya had no idea why, just knew that was how it was. She thought briefly on what he said about Mr. Volt. “Is Mr. Volt the reason everyone in homeroom looked so glum?”

Finished she turned her eyes briefly to him to make sure he knew it was her talking. If he hadn’t caught the subtle motions he might not realize it. Happy at having at least talked to someone she refocused on the drivel that the principal was spouting. Why on earth would they care about his cottage and a dog?

The housing area of the Eos Corporation skyscraper was as lavish as any prestigious hotel’s presidential suite, though it still lacked what most would call a home’s vibe. The countless long hallways and golden walls filled with artistic photos, not family photos, but high priced pieces, and the men in suits constantly filing in and out were less than welcoming. Taro sighed at all of this, sitting atop one of the stools in the kitchen, facing the island in the center of the large area.

He munched on a bowl of Lucky Charms, sweetened even more with two cups of sugar—he was still a child after all. The silver TV mounted on the wall across from him was turned to the news, only because the remote was currently M.I.A. On the screen was Maya Amano, yet another report about his sister. This time though, it was a new report, his ears twitched, showing his interest: maybe they made some headway?

“While Olympus officials are currently working hard on the Tsuki Murakami case, information has been released from Eos Corp representatives about outside help being called upon. A renowned Private Detective, whose resume holds such highlights as the Inaba Murders of 2011, the Kirijo Scandal of 2015, and…

Taro’s interest quickly faded, Olympus police were some of the best out there, if they couldn’t do anything what would one detective do? With a sigh of exhaustion, he shoved a spoonful of the cereal, marshmallows only, into his mouth.

“You’ll get cavities if you only eat the marshmallows you know,” Elizabeth came in dressed in her ‘business’ clothes, a gray, silk blouse and an average length skirt of matching color and a set of white flats to top it off.

“So, the grain part tastes bad, besides I only li—“

“Like the marshmallows.” Taro frowned at Elizabeth’s finishing of his sentence. The woman stuck her tongue out playfully at him as she pulled up a seat next to him in front of the island. “Naoto Shirogane, you’ve heard of her?” The caretaker turned to the boy, who was currently slurping down the milk of his cereal, enjoying the sweet taste of the sugar at the bottom of the brown bowl.

“Hm?” He looked up at her with the empty bowl still against his lips, “Un-uh.”

“Sheesh Taro, you should really learn more about you’re surroundings. She’s the Ace Detective that your father employed to help find Tsuki.” Elizabeth looked up, smiling, “She’s really good, I think she can help…” There was a ringing heard from further inside the housing. “That’s probably her now, throw something nice on alright Taro?” The blonde haired woman spun around on the stool’s swivel, letting her feet touch the green tile below she heaved herself off of the cushion, and headed out the kitchen.

“Tch…whatever,” Taro scoffed at the idea of some ‘Ace’ detective suddenly wiping all their problems away.

· * *

The girl introduced herself as ‘Saiya’, said she moved her all the way from Canada, sheesh, long flight up. Then again, when you thought about it, everyone on Olympus had a long flight up—sixty thousand feet up to be precise. Xavier chuckled at her skill with ‘looking’ interested, very impressive! He would have to commend her later on.

“Is Mr. Volt the reason everyone in homeroom looked so glum?” Saiya asked him, before turning her head his way, most likely to give him confirmation that it was indeed her speaking to him. Xavier frowned, then sunk deep into his chair, and increasingly pained look grew on his face.

“Y-yeah…” The senior sighed, “Like I said…I’m sorry you had to get assigned to this class…” Xavier finished by checking the room one last time for Volt’s presence: still, no rain clouds.

“I’d like to conclude my speech with this: Students, we here at Ida are only around to give you the key to your future. It is up to you whether or not you want to use that key to unlock the doors. But know that if you do, you will be blessed with an unlimited number of possibility and opportunity!” Principle Shu finished with a toothy grin and a strong head nod, which threw him slightly off balance on his stool. He checked his watch, just to see how ‘short’ his speech was—it should be noted that the man has absolutely no idea that his speeches are so long.

9:00

Well, at least they wouldn’t have to see Volt until the end of the day…he had a class to teach this period, hopefully 2nd period’s teacher was a lot better. The ring of the P.A. chimed, and at once all of the students in the room, including Xavier shifted their gaze up to the overhead speakers.

All students head to your homerooms, 2nd period will run as scheduled,

“Sheesh…the principle sure knows how to give a speech hm?” Xavier managed to pull himself from the way too comfortable seat and looked down towards Saiya. “He gives one every stinkin two weeks, just a warning.” He laughed, though he was more regretful than amused.

Saiya considered answering but decided to stay silent and think. She was brand new here and she got the bad teacher? Someone had it out for her. Someone cruel no doubt. However, she seemed to have made a friend of sorts which was nice. Normally it took her forever to make friends since she was kidn of quiet. The thing that concerned her was that he kept searching for the teacher whenever he mentioned him. Surely Mr.Volt couldn’t be that bad? Geeze she was going to dread tomorrow. Why tomorrow? She was pretty sure that this speech would go on and on until the end of first at least. Maybe even go through second. What was with this school? Oh well. She was here and that was really all that mattered. Either she made it through the year or she didn’t, the school character wouldn’t make much of a difference.

She drifted through the rest of the speech and was glad ot hear the corny, overused ending come. She listened to the speaker with everyone else and looked up at Xavier when he stood. Instead of laughing with him she stood and let out a sigh.

“You have to be kidding me. How can he think up new drivel for us to hear every two weeks? At least we waste first period every two weeks. We only had a handful of assemblies through the year...and the principal showed up for two. He must like hearing himself talk.” The last was muttered under her breath but he probably heard. She didn’t really care. Briefly she looked at the mass of students leaving the auditorium. Well...they were staying right here for a few minutes. There was such a jam at the doors that this was literally where the group ended. Tense about her guitar she was never the less slightly glad. Plus her most expensive and precious item was on her hips. She loved her guitar but it was replaceable. She looked back at Xavier. “We stay in the same room and the teachers rotate right?”

8:35 AM- Olympus Police Headquarters

Few clues have arrived. Only the weapon itself, found in a dumpster nearby and a balaclava believed to be worn by the perpetrator. Upon closer examination, the knife yielded no prints, which showed he wore gloves. At this point, there was little doubt that it was a mugging turned murder.

The computer lit up, as a small window sprang from the taskbar and revealed a woman with long hair and round eyes. She was known as Safrina Stadtfeld, his assistant from the Intelligence division. Originally she served as an aide, but eventually became his permanent assistant once they saw how much his work efficiency rose with her assistance.

"I have a witness account. Derek Barnn, age 25. Occupation: Taxi Driver."

"For what purpose was he present when he witnessed the accident?"

"I would not call it an accident. He claims he saw a murder take place down near Ida High. The only thing keeping this from making news is the kidnapping of Tsuki Murakami. Good for us, we get free access to the alleged site where the murder took place."

"I see. I shall be visiting Ida High later for clues, then. Send me the recording. I shall listen to it later."

It was pure luck that landed him with a small-time murder that was located near Ida High. He had a secondary objective there as well. Confirming the identities of those suspected to have the power of Persona. He waited for the link to be established, then listened carefully to the recording provided by Safrina. It was brief, but the tone of his voice and description were sound and confirmed the location.

"I've divulged all the information I can from the corpse. The computer will compile the data into a Encrypted .rar and send it over. I am headed to Ida." The Corpse Detective said briefly.

Safrina bowed her head in response. "Take care." she said tonelessly, before the connection was cut.

9:00- Ida High School

The car was only part a few steps away from the scene. The site in itself was nothing special in particular, especially since it had been a while since the actual murder had happened. Some sprays revealed blood afterglow, though it was weak. Taking out a camera, he snapped a quick picture of it. He checked the dumpster nearby carefully, and found nothing- not surprisingly. The glow revealed that the victim tried to drag himself out onto the street for a witness, but the trail abruptly stopped there. That must have meant the perpetrator picked him up, and that meant bloody clothes.

But how the hell was he supposed to find something like that in a city this big?

"Morning, sir." A cop switching into duty said.

"Don't bother me. I'm working." The Forensic scientist snarled, the phrase breaking his line of thought. The officer backed away, raising his hands in defeat. Brooker began walking down the other way, where the target seemed to be headed with the dying victim. He checked the walls and floor, but found no traces of blood that could be used as evidence. The alleyway overlooked a small river tributary, perfect for the criminal's disposal of the body. Peering over the ledge, he revealed a swath of blood that seemed to have been hastily wiped off. Snapping another picture, he decided that he was extremely lucky the elements haven't washed away the evidence at all.

But was this all? He stabbed him and threw him into a tributary. Seems a bit simple. But all he found was evidence for the criminal, no trails leading to the criminal him/herself. He would have to return later and listen to the voice recording again.

"There will be plenty of time for that. I have some other business here as well." He muttered to himself, looking up at the high school.

He registered himself under a false identity necessary for all Intelligence workers at Ida high school. He had put on some contacts, changing the color of his eyes from brown to dark green, and changed his hair style into a sharp comb over. For added effect, he changed his erect posture into a slightly relaxed one, transforming into a different person. Brooker Tsu was now Travis Valence.

His cold demeanor had melted away, revealing a mask of a relaxed and happy man.

9.00 AM

At the end of the principle's speech, Daniel had almost jumped for joy. He had been waiting a long time and checking his watch, he was shocked to find that the speech had lasted nearly 2 hours. Nearly 2 hours of Daniel pinching himself, trying to stay awake, but now he was free. Unfortunely, the mass of students was blocking the way out and he would rather not be crushed. Leaving the auditorium and with it, the amazingly boring priciple Shu would have to wait. Still, with the speech over, Daniel felt a brief moment of euphoria. But he was faced with yet another challenge; finding where his homeroom was, and it was then that the PA announcement was made.

"All students head to your homerooms, 2nd period will run as scheduled"

"The question is, where is my homeroom?"

It just so happened that also in the auditorium with him, left behind by the students charging through the doors to their own homerooms, were a dark skinned boy and a girl with a guitar. Well, the guitar was probably why the girl stayed behind. She didn't want to have her guitar destroyed. Now that Daniel thought about it, the girl wasn't too bad looking.

"Goddamit Daniel, they're probably a couple! Just ask where 2A is and get the hell out!" Daniel mentally kicked himself and approached the couple. They were talking to each other, of course. Complaining about Shu as well. The principle probably got on everyone's nerves.

"Sorry 'bout interrupting you guys, b-but, um... Do you know where room 2A is?"

Xavier listened on, amused as Saiya tried to somehow cope with the idea of enduring Shu’s speeches so often. The first one is always the hardest though, after about two you start picking up on little games those who’ve been at Ida for a while like to play. Games like; ‘What Movie Does the Principle’s Story Steal From Today?’ or ‘How Tacky is Today’s Suit?’ and, Xavier’s personal favorite ‘How Long Will Today’s Rant Be?’, the betting pot normally reached about thirty dollars on a good day, nice chunk of change.

“We stay in the same room and the teachers rotate right?” Saiya asked him, coming out of her self thought.

Xavier gave her an exaggerated nod, “Yep. They say it cuts down on disturbances throughout the day, or something like that,” The senior shrugged before he took another look around the room, this time only checking to see if the crowd was thinned out, yup, pretty much empty. There were a few left over like them, who rather not force their way through the stampede. Like one boy, whom Xavier didn’t notice either, a lot of new faces today hm? Oddly enough, the student looked nervous, almost hesitant to speak to the duo, did he look that intimidating?

"Sorry 'bout interrupting you guys, b-but, um... Do you know where room 2A is?" The student asked, the fact that his homeroom was on the second floor indicated that he was a junior.

“Sure,” Xavier tilted his head upwards, trying to recall exactly where the room was, “Buuuut…it’d be a lot better if I just showed you, I’m more of a take action kind of guy,” The insane crowd at the doors was thinning out, perfect for them to head through, “Xavier by the way, I’m a senior here, and this is Saiya,” He paused and pointed with his thumb the girl’s way,

“Welp, shall we?”

“Which brings me to my stay at my uncle’s cottage, back in 2007…it was springtime, perhaps the warmest springtime you had ever felt, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, there was a…”

Kari´s eye widened in surprise. So all this years back in Japan when she skipped school she was missing this? She was starting to think that it would be better to continue skipping school than having to hear this kind of speech every year... Weren´t the speeches supposed to be short? Kari looked around from where she was standing glaring to the back of the heads of the students with a quick glance, most of them looked like if they were ready to fall asleep at any moment.

Before Kari could actually left the place she felt how someone was "hugging" her form behind, the hands raised until they reached her face and more precisely the eye patch placing it so the ye would be covered better. "Even if you have a special condition you must follow school regulations, you know? Actually I´m impressed you left before me you should fix yourself before coming here... I have a better idea tell me what´s is happening here."

Kari stay in silence wondering how to shake the off the girl that was over her, after a moment the face of her roommate was next to hers watching at the principal. "He would be a better guy if he knew how to short these speeches, oh lord when I came to tour the school he started talking of things that weren´t related at all..." Kari "closed" her ears, her roommate was just as the director once started she was unable to stop, according to the principal that was the reason that both "problem girls" were together apparently she said some truths to the school staff in her former school getting the kick right away.

"And that´s why you should eat more meat." Kari shooked her head as if she was against the idea instead wondering when the subject of the talk changed, the roommate was noisy, a lot, but strangely she was of the few people that would stand near Kari without showing fear. In the middle of this thoughts Kari felt herself being dragged by an overexcited girl. "Come! let´s go searching for something better to do!"

9.00 AM

"Something better to do" quickly became into a walk to the board to check out the classroom each girl got, Kari ended in 2-A, and then another speech about how to get good looking clothes in a cheap price. Kari was on the edge of despair when the announce to move to the respective came making the roommate ran as if her life depended on it. "Maybe she wants to clean her name since the start..." With a slow pace Kari headed to the second floor being avoided by the ones in her way, she wasn´t that scary, but well she was used to see people scare because of her hair and eye color... and of course the eye patch.

After some minutes Kari finally reached the classroom following the numeration in the signs, but instead of entering she leaned in the wall crossing her arms over her chest, she would wait the teacher to arrive outside instead of being the center of attention inside the classroom.

Taro couldn’t lie, a part of him was in fact, excited to see that the so called ‘Ace’ had arrived—maybe she could actually make some headway in the case, Olympus Police clearly weren’t doing the job. The boy was knee deep into his second bowl of Lucky Charms when he heard Elizabeth’s ‘cheesy’ voice; a voice she used when in the presence of important guests. Rather than the two sets of footsteps he expected to hear, he heard three, another detective?

“Hm? Taro? You want to see him?” Elizabeth sounded shocked, why did the detective(s) want to see him? Weren’t they here to talk with his father and the attendant who first reported the disappearance?

“We just want to ask him a few things, you’ll understand yes?” A woman spoke, though with a slight hint of bravado in her tone, she still sounded completely respectable however, “It won’t take long, and then we’ll be off to the bulk of the business.” They were all in full view now, Elizabeth, and the two visitors.

The first he recognized, the woman. Indeed, she was the same figure shown on the report he watched just a moment ago. She was of average height and nimble build with long blue hair and a soft face. Despite her proportions, the detective Naoto Shirogane gave of a ‘take charge air’, one that made sure you knew she wasn’t to be taken lightly. She dressed in a blue jacket and matching pants, with a stylish, but worn blue hat on her head. As their eyes met, the detective gave Taro a respectful bow, which made Taro blush.

The second was a completely new figure, a man, very tall and slender. He was dark-skinned, and appeared to be on the ‘other’ side of twenty, with an angular face with stubble on his chin. The detective (he assumed that was his profession) had a set of long light brown dread-locks as his hair style of choice, and dressed in a simple gray, long-sleeved button down and black and white pinstriped tie, with black pants on his legs and a pair of white gators on his feet. However, this visitor’s most striking feature wasn’t his whimsical looking black dragon tattoo ((which reached up the entire length of his right arm)) nor was it other tattoo of a lightening bolt under his left eye but it was, Taro noticed, the dread locked man’s golden pair of eyes. Rhey were so striking because Taro couldn’t tell what his emotions were through them. Normally, he could read people a decent amount through their eyes…but this one…

“Taro Murakami yes?” It was Naoto that walked towards him, slowly and measured though, making sure not to alarm him or make him uncomfortable, “I’m Naoto Shirogane, and this is my…partner,” She motioned for the man to come next to her, he nodded, yet he looked apprehensive to come forward.

“Demetri Maverick. What’s shakin?” The dread-locked detective, now identified as Demetri smirked, “Don’t look at us like that, we’re not gonna bite.” Demetri joked with him, holding up his hands in a ‘don’t shoot!’ kind of way.

# Ida High, 2010-09-09 01:48:49, as written by Dreaming_Nightmare
Jordan had listened to the speech from outside the doors. His hearing was well enough and he didn't want all the attention of being blind and enteringin the middle of the speech. As the speech was supposedly coming to an end Jordan started to make his way to the class room.

Colors and shapes started to swirl before his eyes. Or at least that is what he decided to call colors and shapes. "That dream," Jordan said as he stopped for a sec. "It was his first dream with such details. All dreams before were just sounds, scents, feelings. After all that was all he knew. But this was different. It was wondrous yet ... disturbing. The colors had dissapated back into blackness and Jordan continued on.

"Well if my memory serves me correctly," Jordan said as he made a right turn followed by a left. "The class should be right here." He felt the door and found the braille. that was next to the handle. "Yep," he started. Then feeling a tug on his bladder he made his way to the nearest bathroom.
______

When leaving the bathroom Jordan caught the scent of something in the hallway. Someone was there by the classroom. With a tap of his walking stick his ears picked up the female shape that was waiting by his, as in Mr Volt's, classroom.

"Hello," he said as he tapped his walking stick and came closer. "Looks like we are in the same class. Names Jordan, This is my first year. I know I'm older but I ended up being too busy to make it the first two years." Jordan figured it would end up being a bit troublesome being in the same year and being older. There was a lot of teasing coming his way. Oh well, he was prepared for it. This was Ida high. Kids would do anything to get into this school.

Jordan lifted his hand in order to shake his classmates hand.

(OOC: Uhm if it doesn't bother anyone since my character doesn't "see" like everyone else. I was hoping each person could maybe input the way they talk or maybe smell that they associate with so that I can identify them in a different way. Including food that is eaten, when you actually eat it)

# The Floating City Olympus, 2010-09-09 16:41:32, as written by Foxhound
"So, his name is Xavier and the girl is called Saiya."

Daniel was relieved the boy called Xavier had decided to show him the way to 2A. He just wondered if everyone in Ida High would be as nice as him, but only time would tell. For now though, he felt like getting to know Xavier, especially since he had no friends from this school. Xavier seemed like a fun guy. Seemed reliable too. Daniel wasn't too sure about Saiya, but if he befriended Xavier he would probably be seeing a lot of Saiya too, so he would have to put in some effort to make friends with the guitar carrying girl. Daniels eyes went from Xavier to the instrument then back to Xavier.

"Yeah, let's go," replied Daniel, feeling a lot less shy and more confident. He decided to tell them his name, since Xavier had been kind enough to introduce himself and Saiya. "By the way, my name's Daniel Gray. I'm from England, moved here cos my dad got a job here with Eos. They do pretty much everything."

With the kidnapping of Tsuki Murakami, he wondered how other people would react when they heard about his father's occupation. Would they be interested?

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

OMG I am so sorry that I have been gone for so long. Everything was just piling up plus I had to have a cyst removed, my dogs kept getting sick and what little free time I had I used on P3P x.x *bows in apology*

If the rp is too far away from me for me to rejoin just let me know D:

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

waiting for school day to end. no point in posting before then.

We're all waiting on Astro to progress the plot.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

I wholeheartedly agree. It seems at times that us wanna-be-involved people are more active then the ones actually in the RP. ^^;

I honestly do hope things pick up though. I'm still really eager to get involved in this.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Is it just me or has this been an unusually long period of inactivity?

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Tanman - Holy heck! That's awesome, especially given the last few days have been a whirlwind of - eh, something - for me. Mostly stress, of the mental and work{finding}-related kind. But hey, nothing to fix those like an archive binge or three! ^^

Void - sorry to hear it. Random chance can be a real pain sometime - hope things are working out better for ya now. :/

Digs - yep, cannot wait to see what's in store!

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Le Gasp! The site maintenance finishing means that the past pages can be traversed! (!!!!) I can finally understand what in the world has happned thus far, get all the inside jokes, and get a better feel for how this thing is running. Huzzah for things being fixed!

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Yay for crashed pcs! No seriously this wasn´t supposed to happen. how in the hell the video card was burn if I have converters and others things to avoid precisely that? Will never know.... still finally I´m back (after what almost a month?) so... I see that IC has been calm (too much) what happened? XD

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Like the others, I agree that it sounds good to me. I'll try to stay posted on this as best as I can in between things, and stay updated on the happenings, so I know when to hop in. Looking forward to getting to have a go at this whole thing, and seeing how the specifics of this upcoming plot point go.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Honestly, I've never felt particularly good about classes, especially government classes. >_> It always seems to me that very rarely do schools encourage learning; more they encourage data repetition (which *can* be very useful, but it depends entirely on the course, the individual, etcetera). Anyway, don't let it getcha down! There's no nation so great as procrasti-nation! xD

Fable III sounds intense, amazing, time-stealing, soul-stealing - and something I'll have to put aside for now due to real life and monetary obligations, but... I just can't wait to be king. Bwehehehe! More than that though- sounds like we've got an excellent RP-trigger that I'll go and take a look at. Er, when it's done. If it is already, my bad- as it is, I'm having trouble accessing any of the various tabs still. Maybe it's my comp... Anyway, looking forward to reading it - anything that concludes an 'arc' is good with me. Especially when related to anime. ^^

Don't worry about posting and things - as I'm fond of saying, real life and obligations first, and if characters are busy, they're busy. Anyway, like Tanman, excited to see what unfolds - and also excited to throw together some broccoli, in sunflower oil with peanut sauce. Because it's going to be delicious!

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Sounds good to me, mainly because I end up getting into things that much faster; so most anything would sound good to me. Heh.

Out of curiosity, though; will said new Persona users be having a similar dream sequence on that night that causes the trigger of their Persona? Or is there going to be some entirely new method just for them?

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Sweetness. Yeah, that 404 is crucial. And as for hell week, I actually feel like every other week in my junior year has been a hell week -_-'.

My government class is really weird...we don't learn anything. He gives us a big list of projects. We pick how many we want to do based on our grade...and we go. It's really weird XD And sucks is you procrastinate...like me *shrug*.

Ugggh Fable is EPIC. If you've played the first two this one's choices are like...20x more intense. Especially once you become the king (don't worry, this isn't a spoiler, they tell you you're going to be king right when you start up XP). I actually had to put the game down for a few days because I got upset with all the crap they were throwing at me...

And my ending was...pretty f'd up. But that's what new records are for!

On an RP related note. I finally figured out a good way to introduce all the new guys into the story. Starting after tomorrow night's events (in RP) a kind of 'trigger' will go off in Olympus. Basically causing things to go, as you guessed it, haywire and give way to our 'random encounter' enemies the Inspiration. My explanation on what it is is really long and drawn out, and I'd rather leave it to Demetri to explain in due time...

Anyways, that same trigger that gives way to the Inspiration also starts to stir up things in people. Brings up buried emotions and thoughts, causing more Professor Volts (the teacher that Shadow 'mind corrupted') to pop up, and also maybe even causes some stronger things to stir within other people with 'The Potential'.

The Boss, and Demetri, being the extremely perceptive fellows they are. take notice of this, and it becomes are race to gather up new Persona-Users.

If this were an anime, this would be like our first 'arc'. Heh, just had to throw that in there.

Sounds good to you guys?

BTW, I hope you all aren't waiting for me to do a post to start moving again. Because Tsuki's in isolation (meditation on orders from The Boss), I want to wait to continue Taro's little sequence, and I'd rather let someone else answer Dan's question aside from Xavier, he's talked enough -_o. The girl they're supposed to find is Tuski...if that was a source of confusion.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

No problem - i've been trying to post for awhile now, and only now seem to be able to get past the dreaded 404's of doom, ehehe! Anyway, my major empathy for hell week - it seems like it's juts one of those things. Halloween was awesome, and I hope everyone had fun there - but i'm fairly exhausted. The good news though is once we're past november eleventh, my full and undivided attention should be able to be focused this way!

Good luck on work and all that, and I love rambling about government/politics if you need to bounce ideas off someone. See you around!
(Pssst - Fable 3, how is it? I have yet to hear almost anything about it!)

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Hey guys, sorry I've been ghost this past week. It's the last week of the quarter which equals hell week, especially for me, who decided to procrastinate and not do ANY of his government projects undone till last Wednesday. Didn't help that I got Fable 3 this week either...which is awesome...just not awesome for my grades.

Anyways, enough of my whining.

We're having this Halloween shin-dig tonight so it's mass clean mode for the morning, but I'm gonna try and sneak on the computer every now and then throughout the day.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Normally I'm more active lol Glad you guys don't seem to mind xD

Although I must admit that I don't mind missing huge walls of text x.x I'm all fro a debate or large conversation but I have a feeling I would simply be confused by this particular one lol

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

S'awright, Dziva! Life happens, and the only reason I've been so busy is that... Well, walls o'text always interest me, and hopefully they haven't been too intimidating. xD Word salad!

Digs - Miu? If i weren't so tired right now, i'd be laughing so hard my cheeks hurt. That would've been something, for sure. Probably wiser to go with Perun, but that deserves to be post-it-noted away somewhere for future use in something.

No problem Void! i think the same problem is happening to me, too- do you log in, click a board, your message inbox, or pretty much anything except return to previous page, and then get booted out? anyway, glad to see you glad - and if it helps, keeping things in word is how i keep my mind from forgetting most things! ^^;

As an aside to turn the topic back to persona/oocishness, I was recently playing P2 (Eternal Punishment), and just thought I'd share some tunes. Sin and Punishment are two o' my favorite Persona games, and with the resources that on good effort I hear are out there, might i strongly suggest taking a gander? Always a good time!

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Woah... Another impressive length conversation I wasn´t able to join (some part of me appreciate it since I lack some [a lot] knowledge )... SO! Once more the site is kicking me after changing pages or after a login in. Strange glitch is strange, so I will post after doing the whole thing in word... It seems we are getting more people interested good ,good *grins* the more the merrier.

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

It's not like you missed much more than lots of textwalls between Tanman, theloneliestmemory, and I. Plus, it seems everyone's have that sort trouble, so no worries.

In any case, I'm going to go ahead and take my conversation to PMs, as to not clog up this with too many words. Still, if I get more on the subject of characters and this roleplay, I'll post it here instead. Like the fact that I had before contemplated making Alex's persona Miu from Tales of the Abyss, but decided against it since I wanted him to have lightning, and I wanted to be a little more original. Still, the relationship between the two of them would've made for some hilarious commentary. Ah well. ^^;

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Hey guys, sorry for postign slow and lame responses :/ Been busy. I guess I should at least check in with the OOC now and again lol

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Sorry for the slow response guys - I've been fighting my computer the better part of today. xD literally, the poor old thing is having it's last throes of life... well, i'm sure I can milk a few more years out of it, but we'll see how long I can ride this monstrosity of glue and duct tape down the rabbit hole!

Tanman - Bwahahah! I had meant super power of teamwork as in some sort of cheerful encouragement, but whatever floats yer boat! ^_- consistent profile's are awesome, and at times I'd love to work as a character designer or something like that. given how much stuff i generate and throw out, though - well, that might be a slight barrier to conductivity, haha! Also, interesting thoughts on the genesis of characters and their relation to the self. They are we, and we art thou...

No, do continue - I love random musing. Besides, my own interpretation is based on a few dead guys one of whom is kinda important to me; there's no right or wrong way to look at things, that's for certain!

Now, for the obligatory booklist: Man and His Symbols is a must, although finding it can be fun. I'd also heavily recommend Memories, Dreams, Reflections, and any of the Collected Works - especially those that deal with Archetypes and the Shadow Self. These are all by Jung, Carl Gustav. Oh, and Dreams is good too! What else... That'll whet the tastebuds a bit, but i'm gonna go through my library and see if i can't find any other psychology-related stuff that'd interest you. Also - my view on faith and religion is very unique and nuanced; you could say I feel that the inherent and random chance in every day makes me confident about life. =) I love literature about religion and myth though - even just as stories, to me it seems incredibly complex and riveting, probably the appeal some people have for reality tv, I have for musty old goddesses and gods and spirits. MIGHTY MAX, YEAH- that show was the bomb, haha. Also, that moment you described - with Jam and Durga mixing music? - a totally good down-time moment. I don't know if it works or not with the way the setting works in Imagine, but it's a great snapshot of Jam's character. ^^

Good point - currently, Astro is in a video production(!) right now though, and we're in the process of cleaning up character slots et all. It shouldn't be too long, and in the mean time, there's science! to be done! To finish a slew of thoughts and still have room remaining for section two - yeah, HOTD lost it for me when every other second turned into gravity-defying jiggle physics, Tammy's always been a favorite of mine - she's a real jerkass in mythology, pretty much being the stereotypical power behind the throne; I read about her when I was reading up on Shinto and Shingon Buddhism, and i felt it was amazing that she was a 'beautiful woman of no small intellect' who had no real motivation for being evil, besides the lulz. It always seemed there'd be more to it than that- so in my interpretation of things, she feels quite wronged by the whole ideal, and is more sharp-tongued than outright villanous, although she certainly has her moments. Like you'd said; she and Kaz are kind of opposites and in a very dualistic struggle, which hopefully'll mean she can snark about any move of his she disagrees with, his battle strategy, his taste in figurines... Whatever comes to her mind. For his part, Kaz can usually give as good as he gets, and I can't wait to see what i can throw together, hehe!

As for Kaz's shadow self? Sore wa himitsu desu!

Digs - Heh, thanks! In video games, I'm like creeping kudzu - nowhere in one moment, overgrown the next. Actually, I value the break down of details; one of my favorite sites (though alas, I am not trained/smart enough to *be* an engineer) is the excellent cooking for engineers which gives some truly awesome recipes broken down into the core components. Not only is it a huge help when organizing the cooking, but it's also quite nice to see the charts and know what you require for any given recipe. And I can't agree more with you about the measures taken for Matador, let alone Elizabeth!

Bizarelly enough, I actually love I Wanna Be the Guy and find it quite relaxing; if you take it as a given that you will die at any given time, the game becomes a charming homage to games past- but again, that's slow and lax me talking. It's also very hard! xD Glad to hear of another person that loves it though - by any chance would you also find this particular gem of fortress-y gaming enjoyable? And again - I cannot agree more. I Wanna Save the Kids is fun, but I'm waiting for the real sequel, heh. Honestly, games that are both difficult and charming, things that challenge the psyche and the soul - that's what I crave.

Thor is cool, and my Norwegian side of the family'd revoke my lutefisk privilieges for saying this - but Perun is crazy radical, possibly even badder-asser! Originally, Rod was the sort of Divine Father of most Slavic cultures (I say most, because Slavic paganism has a bazillion different branches - Czech paganism probably started off with Perun as the head honcho), and Perun was basically elevated to the position, because he was the strongest. That's all there is to it - he wrestles giants and kills bears with a single look. ^^; Although one of my jokes is that my family is 1/38th anything that moved, I've got a good percentage of east slav in me, and can speak russian decently, at least better than my horrible accented french. That was - Oh my Goddess! Don't mess with Perun! - and it's all right to have trouble with languages, imo. I've been trying for years and I still fail most o' the time, haha!

Maybe you can tell me about that Shadowrun game later; indeed these posts are ultra long, but my inbox is always open, guys! xD And I don't inted to clog the place up with my thoughts. It just... kinda happens, haha! Thanks for all the praise though - i tend to feel very self-confident and unsure of what I write, and it means a lot to hear that. And even more to hear that Kaz reminded you of that guy who covered wars, you know! Hopefully, a few characters'll share interests with him, which'll give a good wedge to take to his shell - and from there, it should be a nice downhill struggle. Which is good, because Kaz doesn't like biking up hill. ^^;

Thanks for the textwalls, guys! I hope i provided some laughs, thrills, ideas et all! now i am off to go partake of the delicious salmon, greens, and scallops over saffroned rice i have made. it is delicious and is now probably in need of a reheat, but posting is worth it!

and i really hope my computer doesn't eat my post this time, because unlike eating good food, eating posts is noooo good! {/sonic}

Re: [OOC] Persona: Imagine

Thanks for the warm welcome. ^^;

I'll agree with you on that front. I can understand the slow approach, especially since it's sometimes necessary. Take the first wake-up call boss in Nocturne, Matador, for instance. You basically have to go ahead and power level yourself so that you can learn one of the buffer or debuffer moves (I used Fog Breath) in order to combat him after he ups his agility, or else it's curtains for certain. In Elizabeth's case, leveling to 99 was essential, but in addition, it also took the careful crafting of a few key Persona that had strong resistances to each of the elements AND had High Counter to skip the whole healing bug-a-boo she does when she gets below 10000 HP. Not to mention the move that makes you invincible so that you don't die on the 8th turn, and the necessity of Armageddon. Yeah. Good times. Though, I imagine it's easy to tell I'm an engineer now by all that tedious explaining of those details and such...

Oh, and to also give you an example of just how masochistic and terrible I am to myself, I absolutely loved (and beat) I Wanna Be The Guy. I'm a huge fan of platformers, and this one was no exception. It's throwback moments to all the classic games were priceless, if you could get to them, at least. The difficulty was incredible, and I dare say it's probably the most difficult game I've ever played. Still, in my eyes, there's something to be said about making a game that difficult, yet hugely fun. The level design is simply amazing. I hope someday more games like that come out.

I feel a bit silly saying this, but other than what's on Wikipedia, I'm not too familiar with the deity. Granted, I loved what I read about Perun, but I had originally wanted to go with Thor. However, wanting a bit more originality, and wanting to reach far back in my family tree (I'm probably some percentage Czech), I decided to go with Perun instead. As you put it, he seemed just as badass as Thor, if not more so. Additionally, not being worldly versed in languages, you'll also have to inform me of what was posted there. I are a engineer, so I have difficult with the English sometime, much less foreign language. Hehe...

Alex has been a character that I've messed around with in the past, and his personality is pretty set, though there are some things I might need to add to his profile later, looking back over it. Anyways, this is my first time doing the whole forum roleplaying thing in a long while, so I figure bringing out a character I'm fairly familiar with would help me out in the process of knocking off whatever rust there might be. Still, this method was something I tried with Alex when playing Shadowrun, and it went terribly for the poor guy. I'd expand on the details of it, but I'm sure this post is going to be too long as it is.

Now, looking over your profile, it almost makes me seem like I'm out of my league. You really paint a nice picture of both 'Tammy', as Tanman put it, and of your character Kaz, and of their personalities. You can tell you're a writer that knows what he's doing, unlike a certain engineer over here. The character himself reminds me of a little geekier version of Frank West, if only because his attacks mainly consist of using a camera, just like Frank does in Tatsunoko vs Capcom on his assist. Additionally, I'll be interested in seeing how he ends up interacting with the group, considering his desire to stay out of people's way and all. It almost seems like it'll take someone real persistent to crack his personality and make him come out of his shell. Still, such an act seems totally worthwhile, given his kindness. Should prove interesting for sure. ^^;

Well, now that this post is entirely too long, I'll try to keep my reply to Tanman's post somewhat short. First off, <3 Jam. She's always interesting to roleplay with. Then again, I like all your characters, so it's a bit redundant to say so. Other than that, I'll move on with the Shadow-self deal.

...Or maybe not. I haven't really thought about it at length. I can already think of the personality flaws the Shadow will draw on in Alex to force him to deny it, but I can't really think of the monster that will emerge from it. As for any sort of plan, well, I haven't come up with that either. I could imagine his Persona 4 type dungeon, but I'm not quite sure if that's how each Shadow-self is revealed. Perhaps my skimming wasn't as thorough as I'd like it to be, since I caught the Shadow-self mention, but not the how or when. Ah well. I'm sure someone will clarify. ^^;

Enough of that textwall. The word count isn't really helping either. This post is already longer than what my Personal Statement will be. Tiredness really makes you babble on and on and on. Sorry about that. I'd better sleep soon now...^^;
