Introduction
Will you save this world, or rise in Gandrel's ranks.
Rules
Do not control other people's characters, unless directed to do so
Combat
Will be turn based(much like dungeons and dragons for those that have played)
You may declare you wish to attack someone, if you have the element of surprise, then I will allow you to go ahead and make your attack. Then everyone will roll to see the order they go in. Use the roll commands provided by the forum. On your turn you have an attack action, or a move action. You may change your attack action for an extra move.
This is where it changes from Dungeons and Dragons. Say what you would like to do for your attack, then roll a d20.
Example: Dm Hero charges at his opponent, and feints right. Then he steps left and around his opponent, he pivots on his foot driving his sword into the creatures back. If on the roll to this action you rolled a 20 everything in your post went off with out a hitch, and the target is likely dead, or mortally wounded. If you rolled a 10, your opponent read your move parrying at the last second. You were only able to glance him. If you were to roll a 1 you might fall flat on your face in front of him. I do award points for interesting and well described manoeuvres. If it is beyond what I believe your character abilities should be, you will fail no matter what your rolled.
NPC's:
Minor NPC's are yours to control, people you pick up in taverns for example. If you want to have a bar fight and you require some NPC's to beat up go nuts you can make them, and give them personalities.
Major NPC's (ie. Merchants, kings, queens, guards) Please leave them to me. If you are unsure you may control the NPC but I may take them over.
Gods:
You may have them, you can create your own. Please write a short description if you do, and whether this god contacts you. As DM I will be your god lol.
Races:
any and all for the most part. A few races are extinct and I will let you know. If you are playing something really extreme and are unsure, pm me.
On Character Creation:
Age:
Sex:
Race:
Homeland:
Feats/Abilities:
Spell Caster Class(if applicable):
You can play a very powerful class, but remember NO god characters so have some way to limit it. I will be playing a Silver Dragon, but since he is the last of his kind, he stays polymorphed as a human. Most people just think he is a mage, with limited illusion spell casting. I am ok with a character like that, who is normally quite tame. When a major event happens you may use some larger powers. To balance things people who are playing regular characters, will get a massive adrenaline rush. The will be more successful in combat, and do more damage(in a large fight). For example Gandalf and the Balrog in lord of the rings. Seems like a small time caster for the most part, then big thing comes, and Gandalf explodes in a mass of awesome light. That is ok, but still you can not have an insta kill attack or spell. If you are unsure please PM me.
Places:
I will make the nations, and a few cities. Feel free to make your own home towns, If something is to take place there I will create the place for you.
For now.
Thysaer: Nation of the elves, dense forest with well guarded boarders.
kalendornic: Dwarven mines set through the mountain ranges of Keilnatie as known by men. No human really knows how far or where the tunnels go.
Gandrelian: Nation of men.
Gaden: the capital. A 4 tier city, set on the centre of a mountain. There is a large castle at the top where Gandrel rules from.
Sernalith: A desert many of the creatures pushed to the brink of extinction dwell here. The armies of men do not march well in the sand. The king figures the desert will finish the job of extinction for him.
bear in mind this is my first time Dming on this site, these rules may change a bit as we go on. I will make an OOC post to inform you that changes have been made.
Most importantly Have Fun!
That is all for now.

"Welcome to the realm of the elves traveller." You see very old trees, as the scent of the forest, and sweet flowers hits your nose. There are many creatures in this forest, and they all seem to live with the elves as one.

Stepping out the door, she made sure she had everything. Her stave was held on her back with a leather sling, and her small knapsack still rested on her. Yuuupp. Everything's still there. she thought to herself mildly. She started her walk down the desert city's road, heading in the general direction of the exit.
She paced through the town, in no particular hurry to leave. She looked around. There was an elderly looking human amongst the small green people that ran amongst the town. It was odd, especially since she hadn't ever seen a human out in the deserts before. What could it hurt to ask the guy what he was doing, right?
She started moving into his direction, stepping into the shade that he stood in. "Hey grandpaw... What are you doin' here? Arent you a little far from your rolling plains and...farmlands?" She asked with a grin on her face. She was sort of testing him...seeing how his attitude to her was. She didn't dislike humans, but some of their kind were bad....very bad.

"Eeeeehhh..." She said, looking around. "I guess so. It's not like I have much else to do around here. I suppose that I could help you out, coot." She said with a smirk. The old man toked on a pipe as he took a break in the shade. "You know, If old age won't kill you soon enough, that stuff will." She said. "But hey. Noone's perfect." She said, reaching to her hip, pulling out her flask of brandy, and taking a swig before laughing half-heartedly. "Now, uh, where is it that you exactly reside?" She asked, still eying the man up and down.

"Holy shit, pop. How'd you manage to 'get lost' this far from your abode! City, I understand, but NATION, now that's something!" She didn't know weither to be serious or laugh. "Not to mention those pointy eared chodes live ACROSS the continent." She said.
She looked over at him, an eyebrow arched. "And you don't look too elven...what business you have with primp-boys anyway?" She said in a demeaning tone. Before the man could answer, she tilted her head. "And define 'well paid'. 'Cause I ain't babysittin' grand-daddy amnesia attack for pocket change!"
She added with enthusiasm.

She sighed, pinching her eyebrows. "I guess, you old crab, you're lucky. I don't exactly mind where I am either. I'll travel with you to Thysaer. One condition, though." She said, placing her hands on her hips, and leaning towards the man. "You get me into the elfie-welphy lands too. Goblins and elves...don't exactly get along. Something about being greedy. I don't know." She quickly spat.
She turned on her heels, and began to walk. She took maybe two steps, before turning sharply again. "You have a steed, pops? Otherwise, we're walking." She said, with a downwards infliction on her voice.

As he began his march he noticed two other sore thumbs, an orc and a human, kind of an odd couple if he had ever seen one, but to each their own. Land dwellers were just so curious, if it were not for the fact that he despised humans he may actually have asked why they were here. This is an awful distance away for both of them. Of course this was the safer route from human territory to the rest of the world, but only safer from the locals, the trip may be what kills you instead. Its curious that this frail old human managed it. Well little bother, he probably sacrificed his escorts so that he could make this journey. I wonder though, where does he intend on going?
I keep my distance, acting calmly and unassuming. Lets see where he is off to.

She began to push her way through the sands of the desert, before turning around, and walking backwards goofily. She didn't need to worry about hitting anything, and she wanted to talk to the man some more. "So, you old coot, you look like you know more than the age on your face shows. What do you do for a living?" She asked. "More importantly, you look magical. Not like a creature...I mean, you have the beard and robes...and...well, the stick. Are you a magister?" She asked with a smile. She was not normally this nice to people...far from it, but something about him...pacified her...made her mock him less (seriously) and seem to be drawn to his presence.
"Well, that's and I'd like a name! I'm Shivara, call me what you like, and I'll give myself the same liberty with you." She said with a smile. But the smile quickly faded....She saw someone behind them. It was not close to them, but it was following them. She raised an eyebrow, and stopped in her tracks. "What the...?" She said, leaning forward trying to get a better look at the thing...

"Bah, anywho...It's nice to meet you Saneth. I assumed you were a type of mage that was traveling. But for some unknown reason..." She said, turning back to face forwards, and rub her chin. "Well, I'm a mage. Sort of. A witch, actually. Make a broomstick crack and the next crack will be that of your skull." She said with a smile.

"Well, speaking of which, you have any idea what time it is? Because we'd not like to be caught by surprise by the desert night..." She said, looking around.

Shivara nodded, and kept her pace. "Sounds good to me. I'm no stranger to the ground. And I've got a bedroll." She stated blandly. Her ponytail which draped the back of her head blew in the gusts of desert wind. She pressed forward, keeping.
They were coming upon the edge of the forests. The grass would be a nice welcome over the shifting sands that the two treaded in untill now. Her gaze drifted upwards, as they were making good time. The challenge would be getting firewood. As a magican of some sort, a witch being specific, fire was one of her fortes.
