Introduction
Seekers of light,
Believe not in forever,
Believe not in truth,
For they are empty and inconsistent, as are all things.

“Oh hi there! Sorry about the wait, with that big system crash earlier, a lot of our files got deleted and messed up. It’s a real pain, what with the Vanguard here having only just moved in for settlement. Well, can’t be helped, looks like you’ll have to sit through the history lecture and fill out all the personnel forms again. Oh, sorry, where’s my manners? The name’s Alamarei. Alamarei Delaney, but everyone calls me Ala.”
The angelic girl took a comfy seat, winking as she crossed her legs and slid the hovering computer terminal across the room. Tapping a bit, soft ~music~ began to play before she handed over the small device…
“Well, first thing’s first. You probably know all this stuff like I said, but I’ll give you the brief version. Mandatory check to show you know the situation, so we’ll get the formality out of the way. But uh feel free to tune out until the licence registration below if you know it all already, or check the synopsis at the bottom to see if you’re in the right place. I’ll continue when you’re ready.”
Coughing once, Alamarei cleared her throat before taking a deep breath.
“As you well know, our society is made up of three distinct races. The Humans, Newmans and Casts. Well, Humans don’t really need much explanation, naturally. They’re pretty well adapted to any job, and pretty versatile too, and I guess we have to be thankful to them for creating us. I mean, you know newmans and casts were both made by the humans, right? Right. See, Newmans and Newearls like myself are the result of all those cloning and genetic experiments during that nasty unethical period… Still, it all worked out in the end, and us pointy eared people were born. We’re pretty smart all of us, and we’ve got a pretty good link into our innate technique abilities, not to mention the whole ageless beauty thing.”
Chuckling a little to herself, she sat back, the baubles on the end of her hat bouncing up and down.
“But enough about us, next I suppose I better go into Casts. Casts and Caseals are the backbone of most industry nowadays, being humanoid machine people. They’re a pretty funny lot, real good at the grunt work, not so much on the techniques. Still, I hear those new TPC’s let them cast all sorts of spells now… Er… Where was I? Oh yeah, right. See, even though I call them robots, they’re more like androids. Thinking, feeling machines, even if they do get pre-scripted personalities sometimes.”
She laughed again, before giving a scrutinising look across the table.
“Oh don’t give me that look. I know you already know this and all that, but it’s procedure, okay? Anyway, we all live in harmony together as part of a community, even if Humans are in charge of the majority of things. After all, the government and president is primarily human based, but I don’t think that many people are bothered with it… Eh, random thought.”
She trailed off before shaking her head dismissively.
“Back on topic, do you know why the majority of us were born and raised in space? Basically, the world was slowly exhausting itself. I mean, photon resources were running low, and not to mention populations were reaching an all time high….. Wait, what? You don’t know what a photon is? Ehh… Well, neither do I really. Some fancy light-particle-majig. Don’t worry too much, basically it makes fancy lasers and swords. Segue, What was the solution to this lack of sustainability? Bingo! Heading out into space, and finding a whole new planet was the best move. That’s when the Pioneer 1, and then Pioneer 2, headed off to colonise planet Ragol. Most of the records from around that time are pretty blurry, but apparently the wildlife was pretty hostile and resistant. Thankfully, with advances in technology and talented individuals like yourself, we managed to subdue and settle into the new city we made there.”
Pausing for a moment, she shrugged.
“Not that anyone really cares too much. I mean, it’s been years since all that happened. The important thing is, we re-colonised, founded a new world, and life went on. Until now, where we’ve moved to this new planet on our colony sized ship, the Vanguard. You know, since we’re expanding even more? Babies poppin’ up everywhere these days… Anyway, the planet’s already colonised partially, but there’s still plenty of monsters down there on Latilla. But that’s not important. What IS important is who helped make that happen. That being, the principal, his government, and the Hunters under the work of the Hunters Guild.”
Stopping again, the little newearl brought up a new monitor and picture, proudly pointing to it.

“Hunters is a general term for the people who do all kinds of dangerous jobs for the people of the Vanguard. Hunters actually refers to three types of classes, the Hunters, Rangers and Forces, which are generally referred to as HU’s, RA’s and FO’s. Hunters like blades and close range combat, RA’s like guns and ranged combat, while FO’s (Which are downright spectacular mind you), are experts with magical techniques. By identifying a person’s race, you can pronounce their full class title. For example, I’m a FOnewearl, a female, newman force. A male newman force would be a FOnewm. A Human male hunter would be a HUmar, and a Female Human force would be a FOmarl. Got it? Oh, one more? Okay, a male cast ranger would be a RAcast, and a female one would be a RAcaseal.”
Pointing to each of the labelled pictures, she paused to catch her breath before continuing.
“Basically, the Hunter’s Guild takes requests from people, traders, the government, and then assigns them to Hunters to complete, or leaves them up for anyone to take. Sub-guilds sometimes operate within the Hunter’s guild, like Arkz, Guardians, and the newly formed Aegis, so missions would be assigned to them, and delegated to their members. After completion, the Hunter’s guild would provide part of the payment from the client, taking some profit themselves – But allowing the Hunters to take whatever they scavenged while on a mission.”
She grinned, smiling widely.
“Comprehende? It all works out since work gets done, money goes back into the government, and the hard working people get bonus benefits for the job. Then again, you need to register with us again due to the system crash, right? Old or new, if you want to work, you’re going to have to renew you hunter’s licence so uh, fill out this form and I’ll put it through.”
Alamarei handed across a small PDA, the contents as follows:

“Alright, Excellent! This is swell, I’ll put you through right away and assign you your section ID, and a Mag, if you need one. For now, feel free to roam around the Vanguard. We’ve got plenty of shops, synthesis stores, and all the other important day to day things. Then, once you’ve been approved, you can head to the Hunter’s Guild for some missions; maybe even team up with some other hunters! It’ll be great, trust me. After all, apparently there’s some weird new creatures showing up…” Trailing off again, Alamarei sat up, taking the PDA with her and opening up the door to leave.
“It’s been nice talking with you, be sure to pop by and visit me sometime! Oh yeah, if you have any questions at all, don’t be afraid to PM me, I promise I won’t bite.”
Giggling to herself, she made her leave, softly singing some words to herself…
Won't tell us where to go
It's a long long run
To the Palace in the sun...
With hopes and dreams
Our ship will cross the sea
To the whole new world
Shining like a Pearl
The whole new world...
This is an RP set in the world of Phantasy Star Online 2, (PSO2) a thus unreleased game from SEGA. Borrowing elements from the original, (PSO) this RP is a more interactive and open version that’ll be run by me, using merely the setting, and expanding on it in my own way. No prior knowledge of PSO and its events are necessary, so don’t let that intimidate you. Anyone wanting any extra info though should PM me, or ask in the OOC. I’ll be steadily adding the backstory/history of the world in a separate OOC topic, but it might speed me up if you ask.
Basically, everyone will be playing the role of a Hunter - A mercenary for hire. A new planet has been colonised, but there’s still plenty of problems on the surface, so by taking jobs at the hunter’s guild, hunters get paid, and help out.
Through this, expansions to the story will occur, including the introduction of guilds, their own agendas, where the monsters are coming from, etc. etc., culminating in a final showdown against a big bad creature. Players may end up on either side of any conflicts, good, bad, or somewhere inbetween.
From the above, you’ll probably be able to tell this is a Sci-fi setting, but given the ‘Phantasy’ name, there’s elements of Fantasy too. There’ll be time on the ship, known as the Vanguard prior to missions, where most of the discussion and such will happen, then, using the teleporter, missions based on the surface of planet Latilla. Of course, there might be some ship based missions or surface based discussion though ^_~
The above intro gives a bit more light into the background story, but for the most part, let the world and story develop, and treat the missions like a day job. Some will be dangerous, others not so, but I’ll try to have the choice of several different scenarios to follow. As GM, I’ll try to cater to everyone, and it’s up to you whether to do missions with others or alone (But together really helps me out). My aim is to have a number of individual and interactive NPCs as well, having them and a world that constantly changes both with the player’s choices, and by events happening behind the scenes. Players should expect to probably be involved in some forms of combat however, with some dialog sequences between them.
On that note, being an ever changing world, the decisions you make may determine the eventual future of the Vanguard and its settlers. Success or Failure in a mission may result in the loss of certain NPC characters, changes to their motivations, expansion of the city on the surface, the eventual settlement on Latilla, or the collapse of society and the Vanguard. The decision is yours to make, though the path may not always be clear.
The character skeleton has been provided above, along with some description of each area, however, I’d like to expand upon a few key points. Be sure to check the OOC topics on the Classes and the like to help with your decision!
Age for humans is self explanatory, but Casts and Newmans can live to ridiculous ages. Be reasonable, is all I can say, or, if you’re not certain, play it safe and leave it blank.
If you’re not sure about the class title, feel free to leave it blank and I’ll let you know in PM what it should be. Otherwise, feel free to give it a go!
Primary Weapon lists the main weapon types in PSO, however, you’re free to insert a description or image of whatever you like, within reason. Although many weapons fall within each category, a number were individually named, and had many special differences. Don’t feel limited, as I’m pretty flexible. If you want an image or better description of the types, feel free to ask me. Alternatively, I’ll be listing up images of the basic weapons with a description in a separate OOC topic. Most everyone can use Techniques too, a form of magic. This’ll be detailed in the OOC as well. Also bare in mind this is the PRIMARY weapon. What you’re known to use. You’re more than welcome to use most anything else as a secondary weapon.
Section ID is something I’ll be working out, and will help possibly determine what NPCs you meet, along with what players if they end up the same. If you’re wanting to try and get yourself something specific, use this calculator, or just wait for me to assign it. If your class isn’t one of the listed ones (Eg. FOcast), simply leave it to me.
Guild is mainly for later in the RP, should people join up with a faction, however, if you’ve got your own idea for a guild, or want to belong to one of the pre-established ones, feel free to enter the information in it.
Appearance is compulsory on text, mainly because finding a picture that fits can be extremely taxing, especially for casts. Nothing too detailed is needed, but outfit colours/style, basic body shape and the such can really help in description during the story. You can also find a picture of a regular anime person and then just describe their outfit, rather than the one in the pic. Need help with finding a picture? I’ll do my best to help out too!
Bio/History/Personality is a tough one, as depending on how confidant you are with the setting, you may not want to give a past. For the most part, basic life is the same, with the addition of technology such as super spaceships, teleporters, casts, etc. Personality is also pretty flexible, as that tends to change as things happen. If you’re honestly not sure what to write here, put “Amnesiac” and I’ll let it slide. Alternatively, hit me up via PM or OOC and I’ll be happy to throw around some ideas or answer questions. After all, you can be an experienced hunter already, or someone new to the business.
Other is for any other comments you may have, and is pretty much a ‘dump’ for anything I missed. On a side note, if I don't accept a character I WILL give constructive feedback on exactly why I refused a character, and allow you plenty of opportunity to correct anything that might be wrong. Additionally, if you have any cool ideas for the RP, this is the place to leave them, OR PM/OOC and I’ll see what I can do.
Notable NPCs played by Tanman
Kylli Montann played by Esana
Harold 'Hal' Foster played by Digs
Minorin Reika played by HerHeroine
Rules
- Swearing is fine, so long as it isn’t excessive. Use commonsense, or I will for you. On that note, this RP will contain action, blood, sweat and tears (From me), so it’s probably in the PG rating.
Romance is similarly A-Ok, so long as it abides forum rules. Anything more you want can be taken to PM.
This is a Literate to semi-literate RP, so try to make the effort to spellcheck, put in some description, and write a half decent amount. Not everyone’s going to be doing reels of text (I average about 450-1000 words), but even 250 is pretty reasonable. If you don’t feel you have enough to make that, let me know, and I’ll liven things up to produce more content. Similarly, I’m not some ogre. Don’t expect me to yell at you if you’ve only managed 200 words. Just try to judge the amount people are writing around you, and don’t go too overboard in either direction.
Variety is the spice of life. If you see an abundance of female newearl forces, try and make something different. This isn’t a rule so much as a request.
If you’re going to be away, drop out, etc. PLEASE let us know in OOC, and additionally, let us know how we should react around the character. Depending on the situation, I might blend your character to an NPC temporarily, or simply let them relax in their quarters until your return.
There’s no posting limit, but keep your fellow roleplayers (And myself) in mind as you go. No one wants to get too far ahead, or get left behind. Try to be active at least every 3 days or so though, as that’ll be my main aim, if not more often! If away for more than a week, I’ll likely push things on without you.
Use commonsense. Basically, no godmodding, etc. etc.
Any questions? Ideas? PM me! I’m a nice guy, seriously. I’ll listen, respond, give my own views, and be pretty flexible. Got some weird off tangent that doesn’t fit with the rest of this RP? Let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.
Finally, have fun! I mean, that’s kinda obvious…
Oh, and as GM, I reserve the right for… Well, most anything. Changing/adding to the rules, and all that. But as I said, I’m not gonna abuse my power… Too much =P

OOC Notes
The hum and buzz of general chatter was all about main lobby of the Vanguard, and though it was somewhat loud, the amalgamation of voices was no more interpretable or disturbing then a busy mall. Sleek silver and steel walkways highlighted by shining white lights moved all over the dome, granting access to each of the other areas of the ship. The addition of travelators and escalators made it all the easier to get around, and though there was the occasional mishap with someone tripping or going the wrong way, for the most part, everything moved in an orderly fashion.
Above, the view was incredible. The vast emptiness of space was quite visible through the ceiling dome, the black skyline dotted with the many fascinating pinpricks of innumerable stars. Sometimes though, it was a little hard to catch a glimpse past the numerous hovering monitors and advertisements, not to mention government propaganda. The many blinking lights and coloured signs might have been incredibly distracting, but they could be considered quite the norm, and so for the most part, everyone continued on their business without even really noting they were there.
Society here was the same as anywhere else, with the vast majority of citizens and Hunters humans. They had access to everything they needed, and although it was somewhat limiting only being able to travel around the Vanguard, everyone knew it wouldn’t be long before the planet was built up enough to allow them to head to the surface. Fewer in number were the casts, and fewer still were the Newmans. The Casts had found themselves many important duties, such as the various RAcasts guarding the off-limits areas of the ship, and the occasionally HUcast guards patrolling for any disturbances – Not that fights and the like were common in the main lobby. Still, there were a number of Casts not in government roles, and many with personalities of their own that roamed about the main lobby like any other person.
The Newmans, though relatively fewer in number, were instantly distinguishable with their usually extravagant garbs and personalities. The pointed ears were also near impossible to miss, and despite their differences to humans, they were quite often making friends and sticking with them. It was a bustling place, what with the shops and just general seating around, and given the ‘small’ ship, it was somewhat hard not to find someone with similar interests.
The ground floor of the main lobby was surrounded by the general day to day shops, consisting of all the essentials like supermarkets. Most notable of these was the Fresh Foods, where one could find most anything they wanted for cooking, along with some pre-packaged meals that just required heating. The stall was run by a surprising business partnership, a Male Human by the name of Lyle, who did most of the stacking and shelves, and a Female Newman by the name of Rochelle who manned the register. Occasionally, they’d be assisted by a RAcast known as Cord, and the three ran a surprisingly effective stall.
In the centre of the ground floor was the seating area, a trio of fountains and a few tables allowing people to get together and have conversations. Hedges and potted flowers gave the illusion of some nature, and on a ship like this, was one of the few places where people could pretend that they were on the surface. Just beyond these plants were the escalators leading up to the second floor of the Main Lobby, while all around the exits gave access to the various living areas for people around the Vanguard, divided by Section ID.
The Second Floor of the Main Lobby is where the main shopping and eating areas are, a number of small cafes in the middle of the floor, with department and clothing stores lining the walls. The primary café that most visit is the White Wafer, known for its world class tea and uniquely, a variety of gelato. White Wafer is owned by a HUmar by the name of Roark, though he employs a variety of young girls to work as waitresses and servers. The dainty tables and chairs help add charm to the otherwise similar steely grey all around.
Of course, there are other places to go for ones food and drink, the nearest bar simply known as ‘The Pit Stop’. Despite the name, and the somewhat lacking décor, it fits the bill for a stiff drink. The owner, Tawny, is quite a gruff fellow, but his age and experience lends him to spin a few tales, and even makes him happy to listen to patrons in turn. In terms of clothing, the latest fashion and designs come from Monique’s Unique Boutique, or ‘Niques. The HUnewearl has made herself the head of fashion, and works with her partner to dictate all the current trends.
The Third Floor of the Main Lobby is built primarily for Hunters, though citizens are able to go there for the stalls not requiring licences. Featuring all the traders of weapons, items, armour and cast parts. The Check-In storage works much like a bank, allowing the storage of Meseta (The Local Currency), and any items hunters may find on their travels. Additionally, the mysterious group known as the Tekkers make their residence here, identifying mysterious or unknown items… For a fee. Unlike the lower floors, many of the traders here change their wares or receive them from other Hunters, so it’d likely be necessary to ask around to find a good deal. The passageways leading out from this floor lead to both the Hunter’s Guild and the Medical Ward, providing easy access for Hunter’s back from a mission.
The Fourth and Top Floor of the Main Lobby is the Government level, where all manner of official business is conducted. The President’s office is here, along with a number of delegate offices. Exits from here also lead to the Military Wing (Which is restricted access, even from Hunters), and the Science wing, open to all the public. The science wing is above and connected to the medical ward, allowing them to assist in repairs for Cast models. The science wing has all sorts of nifty projects, ranging from weapons manufacturing, cast programming and production, medical research, Technique research, and even basic studies of local flora and fauna.
Of course, all these lie beyond the walls of one’s personal room. Located in a block determined by one’s Section ID, the interior decoration is entirely up to the individual, but it’s hard to get around the basic lighting and steel grey the ship is decorated with. Having renewed a Hunter’s Licence, Alamarei had agreed to send a message the moment things were fixed up for their first mission, and until then, it seemed waiting was all there was to do. Still, with the expansive main lobby, there were plenty of places to go and explore during that short period…
OOC Notes
Minorin was easily annoyed, bored or frustrated, she was also very strict and harsh, but sometimes she would be called an airhead, despite her concentration on missions and meetings, she could very easily forget things in the 'free world', and actually turn into a real klutz when she's relaxed. But ofcourse, she wouldn't admit such things, as no one would ever call themselves 'air heads' or other titles of that order.
Aside from having this 'multiple personality', which comes out at its time, the young girl would actually be very friendly towards visitors, new-comers, or even people who would just smile and act nice, basically, she'd never lose the chance to get friends, but due to her rank, and job, she would sometimes be obligated to be strict or harsh to some members of the guild, and even normal people when they're doing something wrong in her point of view. Due to that, Minorin doesn't have many friends, actually, her only friend would be a CAST girl which she met during her training in the Alliance Military.
Ofcourse, she wouldn't get to see this friend often, since she had lots of work to do, or rookie's to show around, and when she did have free time, the CAST girl would be on missions, on maintenance to upgrade her armour, or she just would be away from reach.
She stopped, looking at the ground, her navy hair covering her face, as if she was hiding tears, but it didn't seem like Minorin was crying, actually, she kneeled down and picked a 'slightly' shining object up, it looked like a card, a partner card. ' Who would've lost a partner card? ' she wondered, as she flipped it over, trying to see who it could belong to. However, after a few minutes of inspecting, she let out a heavy sigh, and narrowed her eyes, almost flailing. "Is it possible that I don't know everyone in the guild? Because I'm sure I've never seen this person before.. I guess I'll contact them later." The girl said, moving her hair out of her face as she stood up, looking around for anyone that could match the photo on the card, but unfortunately, she didn't have luck, in only a few minutes, the Shopping District seemed to crowd, probably with rookies on their 'tours', or just normal people that decided to go on walks.
"Eh.. Okay, this is a bit too crowded, and I don't like crowds, so I guess I'll just go sit in a cafè or something.." She muttered to herself, and quickly made her way to a corner cafè, which not many people visited, or not that she noticed. As soon as she opened the door, she could feel a scent of oriental flowers and candles, probably from Neudaiz. The little cafè was decorated with red lanterns, and hand-made vases, again, probably from Neudaiz. She smiled and made her way to an empty table, and sat down, taking a deep breath. 'I'll keep this place in mind, next time I want to relax...' She thought.
Her eyes scanned the room, she never actually went inside this cafè, even though she passed it lots of times during her patrolling hours, or just when she walked around the district. Actually, she never even bothered thinking about what could be inside, and who could work there, she wasn't really so interested in all the shops in the district, she only visited those which she needed, like armour shops, discs, and so on, sometimes, even the fashion shop, but that happened hardly even for events, as Minorin wasn't really a dress-up person.
Her eyes moved to some of the other visitors, the shop was mainly empty, but aside from her there were young kids, about fourteen, fifteen years of age, probably taking a day away from training, or having already finished with the day's duties. Then, she looked at the counter, no one was there, so probably the workers were in the kitchen. She shrugged, it didn't really concern her about where people were, since she was off-duty and relaxing, and if there was one thing she hated when she was relaxing, that thing was being disturbed by 'everyday rule-breakers'.

"Now back to the Science Wing...I think I'll take the elevator..." Nex walked into the elevator and pressed a button that had a S with a wing attached to the back. Within 15 seconds he was in the Science Wing, he walked to the CAST Research Area. He walked straight into one of the Research Labs. "Hey um Doctor...that CPU gave me has some pros and cons, a con is that it turned off feeling in my leg and I fell downstairs, Pros are that I got an excuse to beat up 3 HuMars..." The Doctor looked at Nex with a O_o look, he then spoke. "You expect me to give you the perfect model CPU? I told you we were just testing, but before I give you a reason to punch me I'll restore you to the latest stable version and even polish your armor, Mk how does that sound?" Nex looked at the doctor and nodded yes. He laid down on the bed then everything went black...then blue, then green, then red. The room was illuminating with these colors he was seeing through using his own backup CPU while they installed a new one. Then everything went black again...then a light turned on and he stood up. The doctor put his hand out to shake Nex's hand and Nex slapped it away. "Oops...sorry reflexes, It was barely in my peripheral vision." The Doctor laughed. "Ohoho...well lets get that armor polished, he took out what looked like a polisher for a car." Nex glared at the Doctor. "Your fucking kidding me right? your going to polish my armor with that? I don't even know how the he- whatever just get it other with..."
After 20minutes worth of polishing Nex looked like a fresh new cast. He walked out the Science Wing and spotted the Lov Brothers on his way out, they were going to the Medical Wing. He waved bye to them and they just limped faster. Nex took an elevator to the ground floor and sat at one of the tables.

There were lots of cafes, places to eat and hang out - and she could see people doing just that. But really, that wasn't what she'd come here for. No, she was here for action. She wanted to go out and play with the world, to hunt, to get in some danger and then blow its head off. She adjusted her arm guards so that they fit more comfortably and started walking, looking into random shops that caught her attention.
Five minutes later, Kylli realized that she was not only halfway to getting lost, but she also had no idea what exactly she was looking for. Back home, she'd always known what she wanted. Here? She couldn't even find a weapons' shop.
What I need is someone...who's retired, but knows what they're talking about. She looked around. All she could really see were people - she couldn't tell of what expertise or occasionally, what age they were. Still, she had to start somewhere.
After turning in a circle several times (and receiving some interesting looks from passersby), Kylli decided that she'd visit "The Pit Stop" - bars were always a good place to get information and for rundown Hunters to sit around and tell the stories of once upon a time (back in the dinosaur ages) when they had been the best and brightest of their generation. Kylli didn't really appreciate bars that much - she wasn't into liquor or random chitchat - but it would be a place to start.
Kylli carefully skipped through the crowd, coming out the other side in front of "The Pit Stop". She could smell the faint scent of beer - even though it was still rather early in the day for such things - and wrinkled her nose slightly and then walked in.
She received some odd looks, but no one said anything as she made her way over to the bar and hopped up onto a stool. She took a moment to get herself orientated and then turned to look at the guy sitting behind the counter, waiting for him to make the first move - after all, he was someone who worked here and she was a customer (as far as he knew).

After sitting up, Hal moved the hair out of his face and rubbed his eyes. Eventually, the FOmar managed to rise, groaning loudly before stretching. In his mind, as he looked around his apartment, he reminded himself of how much the room made him recall his place back at the academy. When they set him up on the Vanguard, they made sure to give him a good room, one that included its own bathroom and a kitchen with the bedroom, albeit all were relatively small in comparison to what he was used to. Still, it definitely made him feel a tiny bit more at home, even if ‘home’ was just an apartment again. Things could definitely be worse, though, like not having a job.
Speaking of the job, if the job failed to give him so structure, he’d have to make a schedule up himself. Though, first things had to be done first. Deciding that he’d better prep for the day first, Hal grabbed his hygiene products and headed into his private bathroom. After washing up and settling into his robes, adjusting his clothing until he got comfortable enough, he sat down at his desk and pulled up a small map of the Vanguard.
So, what was there to do today? Just because there wasn’t any work at the moment didn’t mean there weren’t any chores to do. Though, he couldn’t run on an empty stomach, especially not this late. It seemed to be…about noon now, he determined after looking at his watch. Okay, what was after snagging a bite to eat? Looking at the map, he checked each of the various shops and determined that today would be a shopping day, gathering food, medical, and other supplies necessary for his long stint as a hunter inside this one bedroom apartment. Not to mention grabbing a few Fluids from the shop. Those things were expensive, but everyone pretty much accepted the fact that most human Forces were absolutely addicted to them, especially out there in the field. Newman forces didn’t have quite the same issue, but they too found themselves using the stuff in dire situations...
After making his lists for his shopping expedition, Hal sighed and rose from his seat, moving through the kitchen and out the door of his apartment, heading towards the lobby area. Once there, he made his way to the escalator and up to the second floor, already knowing that’s where all the restaurants would be. He didn’t really take in the sights all that much, the place not piquing his interest at all. He’d been in the big city center on Ragol all during his academy days, so something this ‘grand’ wasn’t a big deal to him. Nice, sure, but definitely not something he’d stop for anymore. After looking briefly at each shop, the FOmar made his way into what looked to be a pub called ‘The Pit Stop’. While it was far too early to have any sort of stiff drink (Hal promised himself never to have one before 5pm after a few incidences at the academy), he definitely felt he could go for some really greasy pub grub for sure.
Taking a seat in a booth by himself, he ordered water and a plate of fish and chips as soon as the waitress came by. He kicked his feet up onto the other seat and leaned his head back, sighing as he slowly examined the room. Sheesh, he still felt tired. These transitions always wore him out; it was just the way it was for him. Still, he’d have to interact with these people eventually, but now was not the time. He was far too tuckered out to initiate any sort of social interaction, though that wasn’t stopping anyone from trying to be friendly with the FOmar. He looked tired, but certainly friendly enough. As friendly as a tired person could be, as it were.

The quiet and peaceful corner café of Bouvardia was a little known gemstone of an oriental café, hidden off to the corner and out of sight of most visitors. The exotic flowers and fragrances were relaxing and varied, the owners selling a number of incenses that were said to have various properties for improved health and mind. The couple that worked there were a pair of Newmans, Elyla and Forman; though running the business entirely by themselves meant there were sometimes delays in the service.
Today, that seemed to be the case, with neither in sight as a couple of patrons took seats. A small group of humans sat about a table, no older than 16 and chatting amongst themselves. They were a little loud and obnoxious, and after a bit of whispering and discussion, one of them sat up. She was fairly short in stature, with shoulder length blonde hair, and blue eyes. She had on a purple hoodie, the sleeves white, and a short black skirt. The others in the group watched with baited breath, getting up from their seats and moving over to the door, their eyes locked on the female as she approached the counter.
Steeling herself, she made her move, taking the ‘Tips’ jar from the counter and hurrying back over to her friends, who laughed and gave her a high-five, the 4 teens planning on escaping with their prize…
“Excuse me, is this seat taken?” A voice floated out from in front of the HUcast, a petite white cast gesturing to the spot opposite him before sliding into position. Her outfit was decidedly unique, even for casts, a number of white and black plates forming a large dress around her, the occasional red highlights accentuating the each piece. Similarly large disks were attached to her head, though their purpose other than being decorative was unknown. From her back, there was a faint blue glow, but the reason for that was entirely unknown.
“You shouldn’t be so reckless.” Her voice was soft, if a little artificial. Now better able to see her face, it seemed that she was one of the more humanoid models, with pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair added to her design.
“Even if they offended you, violence like that is… unpleasant. Discourse should be the primary mode of resolving conflict.” Her eyes flashed once, indicating that she was deeply thinking. It seemed she had seen Nex and his encounter with the Lov brothers, though why had she decided to voice her concerns?
“Please, consider what I have said.” She stated finally, sitting up again, looking back to the escalator. “Please excuse my intrusion, I should be returning to my station…” She bowed for the moment, preparing to make her leave.
The gruff man turned to the RAmarl, looking her over a moment before speaking. “Whatcha want, Kid?”
Drying off the glass in his hand, he awaited her response before setting the glass down, grabbing the nearest bottle and pouring it full, sliding it to her. Stepping back, he drew up a cigarette, lighting it within his hands and taking a deep breath. Politely however, he made sure to blow his puffs away from his patron.
“So what brings you in here? This ain’t exactly a savoury place for little ladies.” Looking out across the counter, he ordered one of the waitresses over to a new customer who had taken a seat.
“Name’s Tawny by the way. ‘Nd I dun mean nuthin’ by the kid comment. Just look a little young s’all.” The man met eyes with Kylli, attempting to read her expression. He himself was tall and broad, still with large muscles despite his retirement from the hunter business. Fairly dark skinned with short black hair, his brown eyes were stern and experienced, and a rough scar ran along his chin and cheek. A tight black singlet underneath a brown and stained apron made up his outfit, along with a pair of dark brown trousers.
Turning back around, he went to work preparing a meal for one of the patrons, before moving the plate aside to place it on the counter. There was a slight hobble as he moved, indicative of some sort of leg injury…
“If you’re looking for work though, you can start by taking this over to that guy. I can always use more staff.” He grumbled slightly as he almost dropped the cigarette in his mouth, readjusting it.
Of course, the man he was referring to appeared to be a FOmar, one wearing long yellow robes and awaiting his order of fish and chips. Looking around, it seemed the one other waitress was swarmed with taking the orders of the various patrons, so Tawny’s request seemed like a genuine ask for help…
OOC Notes
Lance sighed again, opening his eyes. He surveyed his surroundings again. He was sitting on the top of a small stool, right next to the bar, in a Bar, 'The Pit Stop' it was called. Hopefully the rest of his days wouldn't be so darn boring, and Lance would be able to at least go outside, and not the crappy Gardens that they named Outside. He wanted the real outside, with the fresh air, and the breezes in his face, running through his hair. He wanted the Sun, strong and bright, to shine upon Him while he rolled around in the Grass or swam in the Ocean. The Ocean with the salt, the waves and the sea life. Not the sad excuse they had on the Vanguard. But the most important thing he wanted, the one thing he was dying for, that he was hoping would come soon, was something he would die for. Freedom.
Lance sighed again, glancing around a second time, and he noticed that the bar had gained a few more Patrons, two of which were Humans who he'd seen around before, or he'd thought he had. He didn't pay them much mind, but the Girl had sat on a stool next to Him, while the other Human had disappeared into the Crowd, if he was still here at all. Lance yawned, his Cider laying half full on the Bar in front of him. Lance reached out with his left hand, grabbed it, and pulled the bottle to his lips. The cool, crisp, and wild taste that flowed down his throat was a temporary distraction from his longing for freedom. It brought back memories of friends that he would never see again, and places he'll never be to again. It almost brought a tear to his eye, but he wouldn't ever cry. He was against that.
Lance dropped the Bottle back onto the Bar, and rubbed his forehead. He wished he could see his Friends again, their adventures and dreams were swept away, and they would most likely never see each other again. Lance had stuck with them like glue to.... well, a lot of things, really. Lance was always there to back them up, or to help them overcome some emotional trauma. Heck, he even 'adopted' a Younger Kid, who thought of him as a role model, somebody to be like, somebody to copy and love. Whenever he heard the name 'Squirt' or something like that, sorrow twinged inside Him, a reminder of the life he'd once lost, the friend whom he thought of as a Kid Brother, who'd idolised Him and treated Him like royalty when nobody had showed the loyalty that he'd showed them. In fact, Lance hadn't just thought of the kid as his Brother, he thought of Him as his real Brother, treated Him as a sibling would treat a younger sibling.
Lance's train of thought was interrupted by somebody grabbing his Bottle of Cider and downing it like a Pig, and Lance had barely noticed it even occur. Lance spun around, intending to confront the thief and make him pay for his Cider, but what he saw was something else completely. The Human Male was obviously drunk, and he was obviously angry about something. He wouldn't be much of a threat once Lance got his Gunblade out, but that was the problem. Lance had left his Gunblade leaning against the Stool, and the Man had grabbed it, using it as a pole to lean on, and a weapon to terrorize people with. The Man aimed the Gunblade at another Bar patron, who'd asked him to quieten down. The Man sneered at the Newman, pulling down on the trigger and sending a bullet whizzing past the Newmans ear. The Newman retaliated by flinging a ball of flame at the Man, who took another shot at the Newearl, hitting him in the Stomach with a bullet.
Lance had gotten his wish, for some action to occur, in which he could throw himself into the fray, and cause bloodshe- "No, that isn't right, I just need to stop them, that's all!". Lance pushed Himself off of the Stool, bending his arm and sending his left elbow into the Man's face. The man tried to retaliate by swinging the Gunblade at Lance, but Lance had studied them for years, and knew how to block a blow. He gripped the handle, using momentum to pull it out of the mans hand and crush his opponents fingers at the same time. The man fell first, and Lance placed his foot on the mans chest, holding the Gunblade at the other assailant. "MEDIC, NOW!". Lance thought about waiting, but decided against it.
He hefted the other man onto his shoulder, and bolted from the Bar, Gunblade in hand, toward the Medical Wing. "I just hope it isn't too late!".

Minorin looked at the teens with a cold, 'killer' gaze, slightly narrowing her eye in the proccess. She smirked and snarled at the same time, showing off one fang, as she leaned on to the arm of the chair, and spoke with a calm, yet threatening voice: "Going far, are you, miss fancy pants? I believe, you took the wrong jar, ye' know, the pickles are in the kitchen." Winking, her eyes locked on the young girl, in case she could be planning to escape. "You know, I may be off duty, but that still doesn't mean I can't have some fun by playing around with the kiddies."
She yawned and stood up, walking over to the little thiefs. Her blade, which was hanging on her belt, made a 'dragging' sound on the wooden floor, and she raised an eyebrow at the little group, quickly scanning them all with her eye.
They weren't much younger than her, only about four years? But that still didn't give them the excuse to steal from fairly modest shops, and get away with it, knowing all the hard work the owners must've possibly put in it. "Hand over ta' jar, kids." She put her palm infront of them, waiting for them to give her the jar, but it didn't look like thats what the kids had in mind, definately not, actually, what kind of thief would just hand over the loot without a fight? Well, a cowardly one, ofcourse, but these kids don't look like they're going to be so nice to who's older and 'higher' than them. she thought, her other hand moving to the handle of her blade, ready to take it out incase. I wouldn't hurt kids, no. But I would definately have some fun by scaring these little pests off, plus, its part of my job, even though I'm off duty.
"What a pity, actually.. To see such a pretty girl become a thief, when she could easily win one of the beauty show-off's and become quite rich off it with all the offers that could be coming." Her cold gaze, turned into a killer-like one, at that moment, as she looked like she was losing patience. No, Minorin was a very patient lady, but she could easily fake just about anything , and that was an ace to her.
She stood there in place, her right hand holding onto her blade's handle, meanwhile her left would be reaching towards the kids, waiting for them to pass over the jar of tips. She smirked, watching as the sixteen-year olds were starting to get a worried face, but they were definately plotting something, as one of them was reaching towards the handle of the door.
"Not a chance, kid." She snickered as she quickly took out her blade, sticking it into the door, a few centimeters away from the boys' hand. [i] I shouldn't cause too much fuss around here, since I'm off-duty, I'm not exactly allowed to disturb the society unless its important. Well, as long as no one knows. [i] She thought, showing her fangs off again, as she snarled at them, waiting for the kids to do whats right, as in, pass the damn jar already.

"I'll take a virgin margarita." She said, watching with mild interest as Tawny prepared it. She took a sip, enjoying its semi-sweet flavor and the touches of fruit juice.
She shrugged at his next question. "I'm a bit bored, and don't worry. I can take care of myself, thanks all the same."
Taking another sip, Kylli picked the lemon from the edge of the glass - an interesting touch considering the rest of the decor of the place - and gently ripped it in half. She bit into it lightly. "I guess I am kinda young," She said. She shrugged and smiled, "I'm Kylli. Kylli Montann. I'm a new Hunter - a Ranger actually. I'm just -" She shrugged again. "Looking around. Looking for something interesting to do."
She watched him prepare a meal for another patron. He was moving in an - interesting manner. It was a bit like a hobble, except more practiced looking. She wondered briefly what he'd done to get such a gait, and then glanced down at the plate that he handed her and then at the FOmar that he indicated. He looked a bit scrawny, and she judged that he probably wasn't the best fighter - at least not physically. He wasn't the kind of person that she wanted to meet.
Still, she didn't have anything else to do, and Tawny seemed like a nice enough guy. She slipped off her stool, stepping lightly around the Gunblade that was leaning against the stool of the person sitting next to her. Kylli took a brief moment to admire the weapon. Though she personally preferred longer range combat, Gunblades were beautiful - this one especially.
Lightly winding her way around the people in the room, Kylli slipped the plate in front of the FOmar Tawny had indicated, smiling lightly as she did so. "I hope you enjoy your meal," She said cheerfully, before making her way back to the bar.
This time, she took a good look at the HUmar who had been sitting next to her and smiled inwardly to herself. He was cute and he looked - interesting. Maybe she'd ask him if he'd like to hunt with her - later though - she could still squeeze some information from Tawny and maybe, maybe, help him out a bit more. She sat back down at the bar, turning back to Tawny -
A sharp movement at her side made Kylli start slightly and turned her attention away from the bar and to the obviously drunk man who proceeded to wreak havoc on the mostly peaceful bar.
Kylli watched in semi-interested curiosity - drunkards were always weird for her - her mother didn't drink, and her father never got too drunk - and wondered if she should interfere. It would be easy enough, a few shots here or there and it would all be good. She wouldn't even have to really hit anyone - just scare them.
Her decision was taken out of her hands when the guy sitting next to her - the HUmar to whom the Gunblade actually belonged - got up and started breaking fingers, taking control of the situation. In less time than it took for Kylli to deliver the FOmar's food, he had stopped the fight and was rushing the hurt Newcast out.
Interesting, Kylli thought. So he's skilled and fast...though he did let the guy take his weapon in the first place, so minus a few points on that. She grinned nevertheless and glanced at the door.
She'd wait. If he came back, then she'd ask him if he'd like to go hunting. If not - well, she had other distractions.
She turned back to the bar. "So," She said lightly, "Tell me about this place. Do things like that happen a lot? Do you want more help?" She shrugged. "Or do you know someone who wants some?" She fingered her gun lightly, a faint happy song playing in the back of her mind.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have had an outburst I'm probably just getting use to this new system..." Nex mumbled.

"Oh, anyway. Before you can any odd ideas like I'm some kind of terrorist, or un-authorised user, my name in Minorin Reika, HUmarl of the Hunters Guild, specialised in swords and blades, and probably the only human CAST on the Vanguard, if you know what I mean." Smiling softly at her, she reached her hand out for a handshake, like most people do when they meet. "And who are you?" She asked, as she sheathed her blade quickly, to avoid any attention gathering, since it wasn't her day of duty. "I don't think I've seen you before..." She nodded slowly, inspecting the Newman girl.
"Eh, sorry, I have that trait to know most people on the Vanguard, I've been here for a while." She bowed her head quickly, moving her bangs out of her face, so she wouldn't look as intimidating as always. Most people were scared of Minorin, because of her cold, killer looks, but she wasn't such a nice person, she would go against orders to help a friend, especially on missions, but since she didn't have many friends, she didn't have to. Well, it was pretty obvious she didn't have any friends because of her harsh attitude on work, hence that, people thought that she'd be the same in her free time; Well, they weren't completly wrong, Minorin could easily lose temper with people she works with in the Hunters Guild, but she was nice to people she didn't really know.

“What in tarnation you lot tryin’ ta do? This is a bar, not some dang arena!” Tawny groaned at the scene before him. Braggarts often thought themselves to be the best of the best, and the combination of male testosterone, that ego and a number of drinks lead to more than a few fights around the bar. This time however, the situation was escalating as one patron found his hands on a weapon, cocking it this way and that. Perhaps if Tawny had been a might younger, he’d of dealt with the drunken fool well before anything happened, but instead combat broke out before him as a shot was fired, followed by a retaliating newman.
“Dang it, don’t make me call the-“ Tawny was stopped short as the first blow landed, sending the newman sprawling off their feet. Rolling up his sleeve, the bartender was going to give that dumb lug a piece of his mind, bung leg or no. Then, all of the sudden, the apparent owner of the weapon and clear hunter decided to step in, quickly incapacitating the man.
“Couldn’t ya have done that before someone got hurt?” Tawny spoke in annoyance, the rest of the bar having gone mostly silent once the fight had started. Rubbing his head in exasperation, it seemed the Hunter hadn’t heard him as he lugged the newman over his shoulder, carrying him from the bar.
“H-hey! Wait! Bec can handle… Ah, shoot!” Tawny sighed as the man was out of earshot, the waitress heading back over to her boss.
“Should I follow him?” She asked, undoing the back of her own apron in preparation before the barman shook his head.
“Nah, leave him be. Kid probably thinks he’s a hero, even though we’ve got you right here. Besides, these tables ain’t gonna wait themselves.”
Bec, as her nametag showed, nodded, retying her apron. She was a short and slender newearl, but with athletically toned arms and legs. With blonde hair and emerald blue-green eyes, she’d tied up a couple of pigtails on either side of her head, the look; combined with the pointed newman ears and headband she wore giving her a bit of spunk. For her work, she wore a typical navy blue and white dress, punctuated by a brown corset, with short black boots and an amethyst jewel in her collar. On her back however, a large sword was strapped, and given the ease she was moving around, it wasn’t just for show.
“If you say so Tawny. Honestly, if I wasn’t holding all those plates I would’ve…” Mumbling to herself, she made her way back over to the tables, a couple of patrons asking for refills, before she decided to speak out loud over everyone.
“And anyone else who thinks about starting something will have to deal with me, got it?” To punctuate her statement, she hmmph’d, kicking the seat out from a man who had laughed, placing her hands behind her head and making an innocent ‘oops’.
Tawny eye rolled, before looking back to Kylli, who decided to ease into some more talk with the bartender. He was more than happy to have someone to speak to as he worked, even if he didn’t show it. The soft sizzle of chicken crackled about, along with the scent wafting through the air as he cooked.
“Well, we get brazen fools all the time, but normally they’re smart enuff not to stir up anything major.” Tawny tilted his head slightly, gesturing to Bec. “The ‘little angel’ over thar’s an established Hunter, despite her looks. She’s more than happy to vent her frustrations on any troublemaker. ‘Sides, this place is popular with the guards, so it’s pretty stupid to cause a ruckus.”
Heading back over to Kylli, Tawny set down the plate, a simple chicken parmagiana in front of her. “On the house. You’re gonna need it if you’re looking for a job here. I’ll have ya serving like Bec over there, but it comes with the perk that I’ll hire you for any business I need taking care of.” Taking the cigarette out from his mouth, he stubbed it in an ash tray.
“I hear a lot of things working here, so I’ll let ya know if I hear of any interesting jobs too. Granted, I do that for all my customers, so it’s in ya interest to visit often.”
Elsewhere, various people around the lobby made strange expressions at the HUmar dashing through the crowds towards the third floor, taking the Newman with him over his shoulder. At the medical ward, he was met at the counter by the nurse, a young looking Newman girl with tinged red hair and eyes gasping as he brought over the injured man. Her outfit was typical in design for the Vanguard, a red and white dress with the occasional golden cross symbol. Additionally, she seemed to have tied some golden ribbons into the outfit.
“O-oh my! What happened?” Gesturing over to a nearby table, she rushed from around the counter to help settle the man down, listening to Lance’s tale as she prepped her spell.
“So it’s just an energy wound, right? That shouldn’t be a problem…” Placing her hands over the newman, she began whispering some words and closed her eyes, a relaxing blue light spreading from her hands and over the newman, mainly focused on the area of impact. Resta, the all purpose healing technique was surprisingly handy for most any injury these days, sealing wounds, accelerating the healing process and repairing any injuries. For a trained nurse, the task was even easier, and could be focused to greater effect.
“There. He should come around soon enough. No real permanent damage either, since you got him here so quickly.” Smiling to Lance, she breathed a sigh of relief. “I honestly didn’t think I’d be getting any work until we the surface exploration started. Not that I mind entirely.”
“So, would you mind filling out these forms here? I just need a brief statement about what happened… I suppose for a Hunter like yourself, you must be pretty used to this sorta paperwork by now.” She laughed as she lead Lance over to the front desk, sliding him a pen and form as she took a seat.
“Buzz off, you can’t tell us what to do.” The girl who had taken the jar raspberried at Minorin, apparently unintimidated by her demeanour. There were subtle signs that she was however, the girl taking short shuffles backward and trying to slink behind her group of friends. Her eyes avoided the steely gaze of the HUmarl, darting to her blade, which made its presence ever known with the sound of it scraping against the floor.
The compliments caught her somewhat off guard, the blonde unsure how to respond, but the narrowing of Minorin’s eyes made her hold the jar in front of her defensively. To her side, she could see they were next to the door. They could easily lose the hunter in the crowd outside and-
The soft thud of the sword embedding in the door revealed their plan was a bust, Michael stumbling over himself as he jumped back from the blade and the handle. With the intimidating snarl, and the way she’d cornered each of them, the thief slowly began to pass the jar towards the open palm…
With a sudden lunge, another young girl reached over, snatching the tips from the hooded girl, proclaiming that they should leave, and that she was returning the jar. As she made her way to the counter, the group of four attempted to heed her advice and sneak out the door, though Minorin’s blade was still firmly planted and holding it shut. When talk was given about a suitable punishment, the blonde spoke once more.
“Hey, we gave the stupid jar back!” She responded indignantly, glaring at Sapphire. Still, what was done with them seemed to be entirely up to Minorin, apparently involving each of their parents. As she asked for each teen’s name, it took some mumbling and a bit of coercing before each of them responded one by one.
The slim young fellow with glasses by the name of Jake seemed to be the most freaked out by the prospect of his parents finding out, sweating a bit and somewhat pleading with Minorin to let them off with a warning. His girlfriend, Marnie, was less concerned with that idea, telling him to both ‘get over it’ and ‘stop being so spineless’. Michael, the red headed boy was next, snickering a little as he handed over his ID. Like his parents would ever care what he was up to.
Finally, we came to Jess, the apparent leader of the group. Looking off to the side, arms folded, hood tugged up over her head, she was being the least co-operative of the bunch. Considering she was the one who instigated the problem, it was uncertain whether she was actually feeling any remorse for the act. Still, she handed over her ID without any qualms, and in fact, was smiling throughout. Yes, there was something sinister about that smile, and as Minorin dismissed them, she had only one last thing to say to the pair.
“You’re going to be sorry.”
Nex’s call caught the caseal off guard, and she turned back towards him slowly, letting him speak his mind. Her eyes flashed again as he spoke with what she saw as pain, or suffering of some kind.
“I can understand you don’t appreciate any slurs to your lineage, but through example, I believe we can prove ourselves to be human also.” Placing a hand over her heart, she closed her eyes before continuing.
“Acting as you are… Speaking with such ill intent and being so eager to harm humans… How will that dissuade them from their views of us?” Posing the question to Nex she opened her eyes, looking away to the side.
“All you’re doing is confirming their views. If all you harbour is hatred for someone, then that is all you can expect in return.” Her eyes dimmed slightly, as if in disappointment of some kind. Turning away from Nex, she looked to the people that had turned to watch them.
“I accept your apology… But I’m not the one you should be sorry for. These people deserve your respect as much as I do.” Turning her head slightly, she faced towards the escalator, a name being called out from above and taking her attention.
“Lucy! Oh thank god you’re alright. You had me worried!” Running up to the two was a female human, clad in the robes typical of a force. Her short blonde hair was held up in a bun, and her delicate face was framed by a pair of thin spectacles. Her dress was mainly black and white with glowing blue patterns, almost like circuitry, with the primary colour she wore over the top a soft yellow. She was fairly short in stature, on par with Lucy as she hugged into the FOcaseal.
“You shouldn’t go wandering off like that without supervision. Come on, let’s get you back to the lab…” Looking around, the force met eyes with Nex, giving him a casual wave.
“Oh! I didn’t see you there. Are you the one who looked after Lucy? I’ve seen you in the lab a few times, but I don’t think I’ve ever caught your name. I’m Tiara, head of R&D here on the Vanguard. You have no idea how grateful I am to you.”
Lucy’s eyes flashed once more before she spoke again.
“He is Nex…”
“Oh? Nex is it?” Tiara smiled, looking to Lucy before back to Nex. “Well, thank you then Nex, but we really need to be getting back to the labs. Be sure to pop by and visit sometime.”

She was distracted from her contemplation by a plate being set down in front of her. Surprised, she looked down. She hadn't ordered anything. She looked up at Tawny, about to say as much. Before she could, Tawny assured her that it was on the house, adding that she'd need it if she was going to work for him. She smiled a bit at the words and picked up the fork he'd provided, ducking her head to get a good sniff at the food. It was freshly made by the texture and heat waves rising from it, and it smelled delicious - not that she was a very picky eater by anyone's standards.
As she twirled her fork into the parmagiana, lightly breaking the surface, Kylli looked back at Bec, considering. Well, one she already had this food in front of her, and two, really, what were the chances that Bec was better than her? And if she was, she wouldn't be for long. Kylli was good at what she did. She would beat anyone in her way.
"This is really tasty," Kylli said after a few bites. She looked at Tawny and smiled. "And I'll start work as soon as I finish. Don't worry. I'll try not to take too long." She ate rather quickly, though still trying to take long enough so that she could savor the delicious taste. Tawny - or whoever had made it - was a good cook. It was something she hadn't expected from this bar, but it was a welcome unexpected occurence.
When she'd finished, she looked back at Tawny. "So, waiting tables?" She got ready to get started. "You got anything else for me? Any interesting gossip or tidbit?"

“Must be a Hunter, carrying around a weapon like that,” Hal noted, nodding to himself as he nursed his drink, stirring it a few times with his straw before taking a sip, or if need be, a large gulp.
As he watched, he noticed the bartender making small talk with the girl beside the gunblade owner, chatting up his patrons a bit as he went back and forth, prepping meals and serving beverages, though mostly tending to those at the bar as a priority, of course. However, he guessed there was something a little more than just small talk afoot as the girl rose from her seat with his plate of fish and chips. Hal’s eyes followed her as she crossed the room, lightly putting down his meal.
“I hope you enjoy your meal,” she said. The poor FOmar didn’t have time to say much more than “Thanks,” before the girl scooted back towards the bar, and back towards the man he’d been looking at. Well, what was that about? Just from inspection, he knew the girl didn’t work here. Why’d she bring him his food? That didn’t make sense. He scratched his head as continued to look in their direction as his mind wandered on the subject...
The FOmar took his eyes off the scene as he started to dig into his meal, and a few short moments after he did, he heard a commotion. And wouldn’t you know it; it was in just the same place as he had been looking. Someone had grabbed the gentleman’s gunblade, swinging it around in a drunken stupor. Hal slowly scooted into the corner of his booth as he stared, amazed that the gentleman was so bold as to take a stand against him. And once the tussle was over, with gunblade in hand and drunken man on his shoulder, he rushed out towards, well, what he guessed was the medical ward from the shouting he'd done.
“...Sheesh. If he’d waited just a gosh darn minute, I could’ve cast Resta on the poor fellow...” Hal muttered to himself, moving himself back into position, digging into his food again. He kept a keen ear towards that section of the bar, though, still interested in just what was up with that girl. Not to mention the girl who started shouting about dealing with her or something. He wasn’t quite sure on that point, but he did make sure to note her presence, and her association to the barkeep. And as luck would have it, Hal caught wind of who she was as he listened into their conversation.
“The ‘little angel’ over thar’s an established Hunter, despite her looks. She’s more than happy to vent her frustrations on any troublemaker...”
“Another Hunter?” Hal thought to himself. “Might have to ask the bartender more about that...”
As if he heard the FOmar’s thoughts, his conversation seemed to turn in just that direction.
“I hear a lot of things working here, so I’ll let ya know if I hear any interesting jobs, too. Granted, I do that for all my customers, so it’s in ya interest to visit often.”
“Some steady work? Now that’s something I can get behind,” Hal thought to himself. Smiling, he happily went to finish his meal, letting the girl finish up her conversation with the bartender. That is, unless Bec happened to come his way as a server. Then it’d just be easier to stop her and ask.

Lance pulled out a paging device, contacting his 'boss', who preferred to stay anonymous. Lance would've said something, but his superior spoke first. "Have you made contact with the target yet?". Lance turned away, smirking to himself. He definitely took notice, the target was in the Bar with Him, and he made sure he knew their face. "Yes, but I haven't spoken to them yet. I think I'll gain their trust, and then do what I need to do". The face on the Device's Screen grinned, not a grin of happiness, but a grin of triumph. "Yes, indeed you will. Just make sure that the target doesn't catch on to you. Or the entire Mission will be a failure, and I don't think that will please my superiors one bit. Head back now, and make contact with the target. If you can, that is".
Lance closed the Device with a sigh, sure, he loved his job, but he hated the anonymity of his coordinator, and he hated that he'd gone onto the dark side of the law. He never would've done it, but apparently he was the only one with the proper skills to do this Mission. "When this is over, I'm never doing stuff like this again. Ugh, it makes me feel bad just thinking about it. Anyways, better get back to the Bar now".
It didn't take Lance long to get back to the Bar, even though he walked this time, instead of full-on sprinting. Lance walked through the door, smelling the smells and almost tasting the cider he was about to order. Lance noticed that the seat where he was previously sitting was still vacant, so he simply sat there again, and placed his Gunblade in a place where he could keep monitor over it better, not that the earlier incident was an accident, of course. It had all been meticulously planned by the one who'd given Lance the job, in order to allow Lance to display his abilities, and possibly draw out any Hunters in the area who were undercover, working for other Organizations. Lance sighed, rubbing his forehead with his palm. "Tawny, would you please pass me another Cider? Maybe with some Sugar to sweeten it up a little?". Lance noticed another Character, a FOmar, sitting in a Booth. He'd noticed the male watching him before, when Lance had glanced around the Bar. But now the FOmar was eating his food, and Lance wouldn't pay Him much mind.
Lance was so deep in thought when the Cider was placed in front of him that he almost forgot to say 'Thanks' to Tawny, but luckily he managed to, and, anxious to taste freedom again, pushed the bottle to his lips, and drank thirstily. He lowered the Bottle, and swallowed the liquid in his mouth. He breathed heavily, and returned to his thoughts.

The listeners were a mix of excitement and joy at being in the presence of a self proclaimed hero, with just a touch of doubt. "I never heard of you or any of that stuff happening!" one of them exclaimed, obviously not willing to believe anything the girl had said. Of course, he was the smartest one there as he was correct. Every word that come out of her mouth was a lie and not a very good one. The other participants looked back at the rebel and then between each other as the doubt started to spread.
"Top secret, kid," Ridly simply dismissed the objection, rising up off the ground as she waved a hand towards her congregation, "Now get lost." She pushed through the group, hands moving to rest on her hips as she grinned to herself. With that incredible story out in public, they will gossip and it will spread all across the city, each telling becoming more and more grand. With no effort, Ridly Montill will become the most feared name in the region, she thought.
It was only her second month in the Hunter's Guild and for her, the day's work was over and complete. Deciding it was time for a break and a bit of food, she made her way over to the nearest establishment, which happened to be The Pit Stop. A terrible name, but Ridly figured that it was just trashy enough to get just what she wanted. Taking a step forward, she swung her boot into the bottom of the door, popping it open from the force just enough to slip in without placing her hands on it, continuing in as it slowly closed behind her. Tilting her head back, she looked down her nose as she lightly scratched her chin, scanning the room for a suitable place to sit. The counter was awfully busy, so that was no good. Another sweep of her eyes across the room and she spotted the exact seat she wanted.
Her hands shifted into her pockets as she strode across the bar, zeroing in on that yellow robed guy who was all alone. She stopped her advance right at the end of his table, slowly turning to face him downwards from her standing position. Raising a brow, she looked him over in silence, apprasing the man before she made any further movements. Finally she nodded with a simple, "Yeah, you'll do."
Ridly plopped down on the bench opposite Hal, scooting in till she ran into his feet. Reaching over to his plate, she snagged a bit of the fish for herself, dropping it into her mouth without so much as a 'thank you.' Leaning forward, she placed her elbows on the table, tilting her head forward as she spoke rather cockily, "Now, what I see here is someone who needs company and by company, I mean protection. While I'm sitting here, nothing's gonna bother you. I'll even not mention that this is my booth to begin with." She returned to an upright position in her seat, pausing a moment to see if her claims would fly. "Whatcha' say?"

Watching Lance fill out the paperwork, the nurse was steadily doing her own, listening in as he spoke on each subject, occasionally interjecting whenever he asked a question or needed assistance. It seemed she was happy to help out wherever she could. Perhaps even eager.
“Well, I’d say helping the injured was definitely the right choice.” Smiling warmly at Lance, she took the forms as he sat up, shuffling them so they all neatly aligned and stapling them together as she set them in one of the many trays behind her. As he asked her name, she turned, glancing over her shoulder.
“I’m Jane. It’s nice to meet you…” Flicking through the papers he’d given her, she checked the name he’d put down. “…Lance.” She laughed a little as she put the forms back, opening her mouth to speak before she noticed the glance at his watch. As Lance said his goodbyes and dashed off, Jane waved pleasantly with one hand, smiling wryly as she leant her elbow on the desk and left her head in her hand, watching him dart about the crowds and fade into the distance. Daydreaming but a moment, she gasped as she realised she still had work to do, sitting up and heading back over to the Newman. She needed to get him moved to the out ward for when he awoke.
“Take your time, kid. I ain’t exactly known for bein’ easy on my employees.” Tawny had returned to drying his glasses, looking away as he smirked. It was refreshing to see someone so eager, and to get a compliment like that on his food. Kinda reminded him of his old days. Still, he hadn’t expected to be hiring, but the girl seemed like a real catch. Business wise, of course.
Preparing some more meals for patrons, Kylli was true to her word as she scoffed down the meal, sitting up and preparing to begin work. "So, waiting tables? You got anything else for me? Any interesting gossip or tidbit?"
“Yeah. Catch.” Rummaging in the nearby cupboard, he pulled out a stained apron, balling it up and passing it over to her, a notepad and pen inside the breast pocket. “Uniform. You’ll wear it when workin’ ‘ere. Ya hear the bell, means I got a plate for ya ta take out.” Giving it a quick ding for display, Bec looked up and across the tables, seeing Kylli and putting on a bit of a frowning face. Still, she wouldn’t say anything just yet.
“As for Gossip…” Tawny drew out another cigarette, lighting it again as he thought on what he heard. Blowing out a puff of smoke, he leant back against the counter.
“Ya know about that system crash earlier? Probably meant you needed to Re-register…” Folding his arms, he glanced about the bar a bit before continuing to speak. “Word is that wasn’t some accident. ‘Parently there was a lot of data that just went missin’ after the crash. Someone’s got somethin’ they don’t want getting’ out, and apparently the Government’s putting quite a bit of money and manpower into finding out who, why and how they managed that.”
Cracking his neck a little, he shrugged. “Not that that drums up any business for ya. ‘Sides, I don’t even know what you’re capable of. Tell ya what though - we’re running low on supplies here, and buying stuff from the surface costs a fortune. Next time you’re down there, bring me back some of the beasts down there so I can make somethin’ useful outta ‘em. I’ve already put that in with the Hunter’s Guild, so just tell ‘em Tawny sent ya. Bec’ll supervise anywho and let me know if you’re fit for work.”
Looking out across the tables, Tawny noted a customer attempting to flag his attention, gesturing Kylli over to them. “Telepipe ain’t up yet though, so you’ll have to make do serving folks ‘til the guild calls ya. Get to it; I don’t pay ya to gasbag.” Turning back around, Tawny went back to the dishes, washing up the plates and cutlery he’d gotten back.
“Yo, boss. I ‘spose since you’ve got another sucker I can take my break, yeah?” Bec grinned, spinning an empty chair around and taking a seat on it backwards, leaning over the back rest. It was questionable why she decided to yell across the room, but in her mind, she wanted to do her best to sway the newcomer out of her private business.
Tawny gave a dismissive wave from the counter, which was as good a confirmation as the Hunter needed as she stretched and leaned her back against the table.
“Oh, and I’ll have my usual, yeah?” She grinned as she called out again, Tawny sighing as he waved over his shoulder to the girl as he went back to the grill. Lounging like she owned the place, she’d taken the spot where the Newman had been earlier until his accident, only a table shy from the yellow-clad FOmar. Rolling about in her seat lazily, she spied in on the conversation next to her, laughing a little internally as she watched a certain Hunter pilfer fish from that goofy looking fellow.
Protection, eh? That woman had guts to do something like that, but maybe the magician had a few tricks up his sleeve? After all, you should never judge a book by their cover. Still smirking from ear to ear, Bec turned to face the two in a somewhat subtle motion, watching the possible argument unfold. Just in case she needed to step in of course. Not because she was amused by that sort of thing. Or because she was looking for a fight. Not at all.
With a surprising buzz, everyone received a message on whatever piece of communication device they had on their person. To each, the message was the same.
“Hey there [Insert Name Here], Great news, your licence has been renewed and you’re all clear to take missions on the surface! I’ve pulled some strings, and the Hunter’s Guild is open to you hopefully from now on. Sorry I’m too busy to meet you in person, but business needs to be taken care of. OH! I almost forgot, I’ve prepped some standard issue mags for you, and they’re waiting in the Science Wing – If you haven’t got one yet, of course. Tiara’ll handle all the details once you get down there. Ta Ta for now. ~Ala ^-~”

“Ya know about that system crash earlier? Probably meant you needed to Re-register…”
"Re-register?" Kylli wrinkled her nose. It sounded like a bunch of boring paperwork to her - something that she never really appreciated. Why fill out forms when you could be out hunting some cute little beasts? Tawny's next works caught her attention though.
"Word is that wasn't some accident. ‘Parently there was a lot of data that just went missin’ after the crash. Someone’s got somethin’ they don’t want getting’ out, and apparently the Government’s putting quite a bit of money and manpower into finding out who, why and how they managed that."
She raised an eyebrow, her interest piqued. She'd have to check out that bit of news later. There had to be something interesting to do if the government was getting so antsy.
"Low on supplies?" She asked, a small smile flickering across her face. Kylli acknowledged Tawny's lack of assurance at her skills - it would only mean that he would be more impressed when she showed him that she was good at what she did - although it did irritate her somewhat that she was going to be supervised. She glanced over at Bec, who was frowning over at them. Still, maybe it'd give her a chance to see how good Bec was at her job.
"...you’ll have to make do serving folks..."
Smiling - both at the prospect of future hunting and at Tawny's rough way of talking, which was becoming more amusing every time he said something - Kylli saluted her new 'boss', "Yes, sir," and started to make her way over to the customer.
Before she'd made it all the way there, a highly confident sounding voice lit the air, “Yo, boss. I ‘spose since you’ve got another sucker I can take my break, yeah?”
Glancing back, Kylli saw that it was Bec, who had flopped down into a chair of her own and was looking very pointedly at Tawny. 'Sucker'? Kylli thought - and then grinned. She's trying to scare me off. Aw, cute. Kylli stopped in front of her first customer (well, technically second, if she counted the unofficial waitering from before), taking out the pen and notepad. She could feel her confidence rushing back into her blood.
Bec was trying to scare people off - and only people who felt threatened did things like that so -
She's scared of me. Which means she's probably not as good as Tawny says she is. Sorry, little Miss Insecure, Tawny thought. I'm not going to get put off by something like this. She glanced over at Bec and gave her a cocky grin before turning her attention back to her job. Oh this is going to be fun ~
Kylli smiled at her customer. "Hi, I'll be your waitress today. Did you need something?"
He was a human of some class, Kylli noted, probably a ranger like herself based on the rifle strapped to his back. He was large with thick armor and a hard expression. Under fighting circumstances, he was probably pretty dangerous, but here in the bar, with chatter and laughter all around them, the danger had been reduced to a fatherly air.
This sense Kylli got was multiplied as the man said, "I want a Shirley Temple."
Restraining a smile, Kylli noted the drink. "Alright. And something to eat? No? Then, I'll come back later."
She noted the table as well and then moved on to someone else, taking two more orders before heading back to the counter and handing the orders into Tawny. She delivered a meal to Bec, smiling sweetly at her as she did so and then returned to pick up the Shirley Temple and give it to the RAmar. When she'd finished that, her eye was caught by another customer. She strolled over and noted their order and then began to bustle back towards the counter, but stopped when a message popped up on her com-screen. It was embedded in her left armlet - a place where it would easily get broken in a fight - but Kylli didn't worry about things like that.
“Hey there Kylli Montann, Great news, your licence has been renewed and you’re all clear to take missions on the surface! I’ve pulled some strings, and the Hunter’s Guild is open to you hopefully from now on. Sorry I’m too busy to meet you in person, but business needs to be taken care of. OH! Tiara’ll handle all the details once you get down there. Ta Ta for now. ~Ala ^-~”
A grin spread itself over Kylli's face. She remembered Tawny's words - low on supplies, wanted a few beasts -
"Alright!" She said softly to herself. "It's time to go hunting."
She skipped towards the counter, sliding her notepad with the two orders on it to Tawny. She grinned at him. "So boss, is it hunting time ~?"

The last thing he noted before something else distracted him from all the information was that Bec was given a short break from her duties. However, just as he was starting to reach the latter half of his meal, another girl stood just at the end of his table, eyeing the FOmar over. A bit creeped out by her, Hal turned his head and looked up to her.
“...Can I help you with something?” He asked with one eyebrow raised to indicate just how weird she was acting. It didn’t seem to bother her, though, as she mumbled something to herself and took a seat across from him, Hal continuing to give the girl an incredulous look as she sat. Rather rudely, the girl stuck her hand out and nabbed a small piece of his fried fish, dangling it a bit before plopping it into her mouth. An only child, and naturally having an intense dislike towards sharing in general, Hal’s eyes narrowed as the girl leaned forward and made her ridiculous proposition, one that actually caused his somewhat hard expression to soften. She was serious, was she? Maybe she was right about him needing more protection, but the way she went about it was off. He put one of his elbows on the table and leaned on it as he looked at her a bit more to gauge her before responding.
“Oh, so you own this booth do you?” He stated with a smirk. “Well, I certainly don’t see your name on it. Funny, that. You’d think someone who thinks they’re so important would at least have their name engraved on a table they own, wouldn’t you?” He stopped leaning on his hand as he sat straight up, looking her in the eye, keeping his elbow on the table and his hand up.
“Not to mention the fact that a young little Newman girl like you thinks they can intimidate an older FOmar like me. Please. Maybe I do need the protection, but I think you forget...” Underneath the table, a small fireball was building in Hal’s hand, and with a flick, the girl would feel a small smack and a burning upon her tush. “...Although some of us more support based, we’re not completely defenseless. Especially those of us who have been trained for well over just several years.” The FOmar continued to smirk as he watched her squirm a bit, though the fire would be easy to put out, of course. He had no intention of hurting the girl. After all...
“Either way, I like how bold you were to just come up to me and try to make something like that fly. That means I’ll take you up on your offer and have you stick around, since, after all, us Skyly’s have to stick together.” He stuck his hand out across the table. “The name’s Hal. And you are?”
After listening to her little introduction that was sure to follow, and sure to be all grandiose, even after Hal embarrassed her a little, he glanced to the side momentarily, noting that Bec had been watching the two of them whole time. Funny that she hadn’t stopped his ‘attack’ on the girl. He turned back to his current companion. “Well, Ridly, while I’m sure you’re capable and whatnot...” Hal mentally rolled his eyes, somewhat unsure of her ability, knowing the only thing she didn’t lack was confidence. “...I can tell by the hat that you’re a ranger, and unfortunately, no matter how good you are, we’re going to need someone to take the hits. Someone like a hunter. But, oh, I wonder where we can find one of those...” He paused and turned his head to Bec, then grinned as his eyes settled on her. “...That is, unless she’s already found us. After all, you do seem rather interested in our conversation.”

“Hey there Nex, Great news, your licence has been renewed and you’re all clear to take missions on the surface! I’ve pulled some strings, and the Hunter’s Guild is open to you hopefully from now on. The message faded and Nex thought to himself. "Tiara? That's the person I just met...Hm the Science Wing, Well I guess I better get going!"
Nex made his way to an elevator, he walked inside and pressed a button that was an S. The elevator ascended upward without any stops and when it made it to the Science Wing the doors opened. Nex walked out from the elevator and looked around for Tiara
OOC Notes
Bec watched the exchange with amusement, making a muted laugh behind her hand at the way the FOmar had dealt with the brazenly forward Newman. He was definitely fiery in his own way. Hmm, that made two of them with some spunk. They’d definitely be fun to watch. They might even be just the kind of people she was looking for…
Her attention divided as a plate was dropped on her table, Bec made the best forced smile she could at the new girl, tilting her head slightly and making a sickly sweet ‘thanks’ as she sat upright, twirling her fork around the pasta she had ordered. Watching Kylli walk off, Bec was loathe to admit she was doing surprisingly well for a newcomer, and that she was already winning the hearts of those that she served. Well, no matter. Everyone knew who top-dog around here was, and that wasn’t going to change anytime soon.
*De-Deep*
“Hmm? Message?” Tugging the small pink device off her belt, she flipped it open, shoving a wad of spaghetti into her mouth as she read. To most everyone it would look like a compact mirror, but the truth of the matter was she was receiving the exact same message from Ala as everyone else. “It’s about time…” She muttered to herself, glancing up to see various patrons sculling their drinks or stuffing the rest of their food as they made their way to the Hunter’s guild. No doubt trying to get the pick of the jobs – well, that wasn’t an issue for her, seeing as Tawny always had some nice tasks on reserve for her.
Yep, she could take her time, relax and eat a nice meal before getting to work on the hard stuff. Not that it was hard for her at all, mind you. Stretching, she looked back to the FOmar and RAnewearl opposite her, the latter having managed to snuff the flame on her backside. The two seemed to be discussing mutual business ventures, the HUnewearl absentmindedly listening in as she ate, before the FOmar called her out.
“You might have to look elsewhere bucko, I’m usually pretty booked up between here and the jobs Tawny gives me.” Stretching and placing her arms behind her head and closing her eyes, she leaned back in her chair, hooking her toe over the rim of the table to stop her falling backward.
“But, that’s not to say I’m not interested.” Pulling out her pink device once more, she pulled out a small business card, throwing it across the room to him with an impressive practiced ease. “My Player Card. Give me a holler sometime and if I’m free I might come cave in a few skulls - for a portion of the reward, of course.” Opening one eye and grinning, a sudden yell of her name from across the room caused her to lose her balance a moment, fumbling about as she brought the chair to an upright position after some flailing.
“Geez Tawny! I’m trying to relax over here!” Bec whined, turning to look over her shoulder.
“There’ll be time for that once you ‘nd Kylli get back from work. I want ya to keep ‘n eye on her and let me know how she goes in the field.” Tawny had his arms folded. He’d already spoken to Kylli about how he found her eagerness a boon, and that given over three quarters of his clientele just left for the Hunter’s Guild, so long as the two got back before the evening rush, they could run a job or two.
“Hey, I’m still eating. It’ll get cold!”
“I’ll heat it up for ya when ya git back. Now beat it.”
Grumbling grouchily to herself, Bec picked up the plate of food and brought it back over to the counter for Tawny to look after, folding her arms in front of her and pouting a little. “Great, babysitting. Well, I suppose it could be worse. Least I know I’ll get some action when you screw this up.”
Grinning some more as she playfully teased Kylli, the Hunter swiftly removed her apron and tossed it back over to Tawny. She’d change into her Hunter gear at the Hunter’s Guild during the brief warm up of the transporter.
“Well, shall we get going? Lead on, Ky.” Bec folded her arms again, watching the RAmarl. After all, she was supposed to supervise and assess, and would only really step in if she was needed. Besides, who knew how equipped this girl was, and whether she needed to visit the Science wing or anything…
The science wing was sprawling and large, pristine white metal walls and the like, far different from the cooler greys and blues of the interior. Various people in lab coats walked about, along with many Forces and Casts, given the majority of the research conducted in the labs. Of course, there were a few off limits sections guarded by Government Casts and RAmarls, but for the most part, the area seemed open and friendly. A few odds and ends weapons and odd devices were visible being worked on, various scientists taking notes intensely.
It was in one of the far corners of the room that Tiara could be seen, holding some odd little machines and parts, examining them under a scope, holding each up in the light as she inspected them. Sitting on a bench next to her, was Lucy, though the glow from her back, and her eyes were non-existent. Pieces of her armour had been stripped for the moment, and a multitude of wires and the like were attached over her, some externally, while others visibly plugged into areas like her shoulder blades.
Absorbed in her meticulous work, Tiara wouldn’t notice anyone approaching, and would likely be startled when she was interrupted. On the second shelf of the movable table she was working on, were the mags that Ala had mentioned, a variety of colours, but still, all the same, base, spherical-like shape.
OOC Notes
"Go on, gramps," she spoke with a roll of her eyes at his dismissive attitude towards everything she was doing, "I've heard the 'older and wiser' speech a million times before." Ridly flicked her wrist at Hal with an extension of of her forearm, imitating a striking snake, "Just 'cause you're older than me don't mean you got real smarts." With that as her final word, she felt something piercing at her rear, causing her to hop up from her seat. A surprised "Gah!" escaped her mouth as she stood beside the bench, brushing away at the back of her pants. Brows furrowed as she scanned over where she was sitting, not finding anything that might have caused that sensation. Glaring down at the newman girl that had apparently been watching, she added roughly, "What you lookin' at, shorty?" just in case she had anything to say about it. After a quick glance around the room, she returned to her seat, commenting, "I knew this was a scum pit. Damn place has rats running through it." Ridly considered what it might have been, promptly shaking her head and snapping out of it.
"As I was saying, you don't have smarts. Street smarts. It's not something that takes 'years of training'," she said sarcastically, "It's inate. Without that, you're dead." Ridly slumped down in her chair, crossing her arms once more, "But, ya' know, whatever. Not my fault if you over estimate yourself out there." Stopping her preaching, she let Hal go on with whatever he was saying, but quickly piping up once more when she was displeased by his choice of words. "Nah, If this goes any further, it's you that'll be sticking to me. Anyways, I'm Ridly," she responded by moving her hand in a wide arc across the table to meet his own, taking it in a firm grasp and giving it a single shake.
As Hal had his word with Bec, Ridly chose to ignore any mention of herself not being able to take a hit, at least for now she would. Instead, she turned her attention to the 'bing' emitting from from a pocket on her vest. Picking the PDA out, she read through the message to her self before returning it to it's rightful pocket. "Hey, gramps, let's roll if you want to get anything done. Guild's open and they got tech for us all." With that, she rose from her seat, slapping the table on her way up. With or without Hal, Ridly would head over to the Science Wing, eager to get her hands on a mag.
In between the The Pit Stop and the Science Wing, she stopped by her appartment to pick up her equipment. A shot slung over her shoulder with a handgun and a dagger hanging from their appropiate holsters along her belt. As she strode into the Science Wing, she gave a look around the area, noting two complete casts along with one that seemed to be in pieces. "Woo, who exploded in here?" she wondered aloud, slowly turning her gaze to the collection of mags.

Re: [OOC] Phantasy Star – Hollow Future
Have fun, don't die, and stay away from Drop Bears,
- zody.
@Tanman: I'm sorry to hear that this Roleplay is being stopped, but I guess it's inevitable. Posting has decreases dramatically and I feel that it would be hard to start it up again. If you ever decide to create another Roleplay, make sure to look me up. I'd be delighted and privileged to work with you again. For now thought, I believe I shall move on to something else.
@Everyone: It's been a pleasure to Roleplay with you, Ladies and Gentlemen. I wish you good luck and clear skies for both your RPG Life, and your Real Life. Once again, it's been an honor to work with you all.
Kindest regards,
- zody.
Re: [OOC] Phantasy Star – Hollow Future
Best of Luck,
~Tanman
As for everyone else, with the absence of another member, I'd say its time to put the lid on this RP and move on. Fun as it's been, We've got a limited number of people, and the speed of the RP has stagnated recently, in part due to my lack of effort due to increased attention to real life. I'd like to thank you all for your time and attention, and look forward to RPing with any of you again in future, as be sure to drop me a line if you find anything interesting. At some point in the future I may make up another RP, so anyone interested should put in down here and I'll add you to my PM list.
Regardless, take care everyone, and make sure to have fun now and into the future!

On a side note, Icky, I'm leaving the scientist to you, so don't wait up for me. Not only am I fairly busy this week, but I figure Ridly is better suited in attempting to put Lester in his weaselly place. I'll follow in after as soon as I can.

I will at least say, though, that Hal would be happy if he knew just what kinda mess he got himself out of by getting to the science wing pronto. It's doubtful he'd be much help to either side, anyways. ^^

Hope it's okay ~
