Introduction

As of now, I am no longer accepting characters from either reality or the Pokemon world! If you are looking for a Pokemon roleplay, you can try The Pokemon Experience since it's always accepting, but this one's full.[/center]

The Story:

Several humans have been mysteriously transported to the world of Pokemon. Appearing on the beach just south of Pallet Town, they come from the real world and know each other - sort of - in real life. Some of them know about Pokemon and some don't. But they must find a way to return home.

What they don't know is that they have been called to the Pokemon world by the "Gods". Legendary Pokemon, worried about the pending warfare that is about to strike, have brought humans from the stories. You know, since our reality is fiction in the Pokemon world.

The conflict is to be caused by the Teams that have plagued the regions for ages. Recently, they have all come under new leadership. Leadership from a single person. By combining their forces, they have begun to pursue a much more aggressive strategy for world domination. Most people live in desparate fear, and some towns have even burned to the ground. With all of this occuring, most of the Pokemon League and such has come to a standstill.

The Rules:

- You must be accepted before posting in the IC.
- No reservations. I'll only be accepting 5-7 people from reality, and maybe a few others, like Gym Leaders and other characters that could join the group.
- Try to keep an even gender ratio when joining.
- No Godmodding, controlling legendaries without my permission, or capturing legendaries.
- No excessive cursing.
- Romance is allowed and encouraged, but keep it PG15.
- You start off with no Pokemon, and I'll be controlling both trainer battles and Pokemon appearences.
- There will be random events. You might get hurt.
- Post frequently, at least once every four days.
- I want literate players, so please post at least 200 words, with proper grammar and spelling.
- DON'T SIGN UP AND THEN NEVER POST.
- I can and will make more rules.

Lidia rubbed her eyes and looked around.
Image

That's weird, she thought, finding it peculiar. Her dreams had taken her to a pure white beach with a perfect blue sky. How strange, considering that she had never actually been to one. Shrugging, she sat upright, brushing the sand from her pale skin with her right hand. Since it was a dream, she could do whatever she wanted. So she stood up and started looking for signs of life.

There it was, in the distance. Two figures. No, three. It appeared that there was a woman, a child, and a dog. "Hello!" she cried out in her soprano voice. "Who are you?"

As the figures drew closer, Lidia was able to see them more clearly. The woman, who had long black hair tied back in a ponytail, held the leash to a very strange-looking red and black dog with tufts of white fur on its head and tail. The young boy who skipped behind her also had ebony hair and looked oddly familiar. The woman glanced warily at Lidia and said, "I might ask you the same, miss. Why are you out here by yourself without something to protect you? It's dangerous these days."

Lidia, shocked, said, "Protection? What do you mean?"

The woman looked back at her as if she was crazy. "What do you think I mean? Team Rocket! Who else in this part of the world? What did think I was talking about? Groudon or something?"

Lidia's mind whirled at a ridiculous rate. Team Rocket? Groudon? Her dream had taken her to the Pokemon world, of all places! And she hadn't thought about that old game since third grade. So she simply smiled and said, "Oh, right. Of course. But I just figured that, since it's just a beach and all, I would be pretty safe by myself." She looked at the boy, who smiled shyly at her. "Who's that?"

The lady's gaze softened as she looked down at her young son. "That's Levi. Levi Ketchum. He's going to grow up just like his big brother." She looked north, toward a series of sand dunes and then barren land. "I have to be headed home." She set off toward what could only be Pallet Town.

As Lidia stared back at the sea, she wondered why she had decided to dream about Pokemon of all things. But then, a spot about a hundred meters down the beach began to shimmer in a technicolor blur. There was someone appearing there!

Skyler's bed in Viridian City had been oddly uncomfortable the previous night. Now he had a crick in his back. Groaning, he rolled off the bedroom's sofa, barely missing landing on top of one of his Pokemon. "Sorry, Eevee," he groaned, a hand on the injured joint. Slowly he stood. He had enough food for two more days of hiding out in this room, but he had to figure out a way to get to Pallet Town as soon as he possibly could.

Team Rocket wasn't making the task easy, though. So far they had set up various barricades on all sides of the city. They claimed to be toll booths or guard houses, but Skyler knew better. They were to control traffic and inconvenience their opposers. Like himself.

He supposed he could fly on Pidgeot. But then his Pokemon would be overburdened, and then Team Rocket would KNOW that he was in the city - or had been. That would threaten Professor Oak's disguise as well as blow his own cover. So he couldn't do that.

Sighing, he opened a package of noodles and threw them onto a pot on the stove, which he had filled with boiling water. As he stirred, his Eevee leapt up to the counter next to him, saying, "Vee! Eeee-v." Apparently, Eevee was hungry as well. So, smiling, he filled a bowl of fruit for Eevee to share with his other fruit-loving Pokemon, Luxio. The others all had different taste, so he wold have to deal with those later.

After his pasta was prepared, Skyler sat down with a magazine in hand and began to read about the local celebrities over in Celedon City. Nothing better to take his mind off of things than gossip about the latest superficial rich folk.

"Quiet!"
Flannery's yell for order was shortly followed by a joint cry from Blaze and Combat, both pokemon standing with their arms folded, and glaring at the large crowd of trainers and aides.
"I can't tell you where the Professor is. I haven't heard anything from him. I don't know what he was researching. The League forbids me from telling you anything about the Ho-Oh feather we found. Beon is not for any sort of trade, and she doesn't pose for sketches, photos, contests or battles. I will deal with you all when I have time! Blaze and Combat will be forced to remove you if you refuse. New trainers can come to see me after lunch I have the professor's work to be continuing on with, as well as my own!" Flannery growled. Combat shifted slightly, allowing her mind to brush with all in the room, and prepared a powerful Physic attack. The aides hesitated, before returning back to their work, and the trainers exchanged glances before filtering out of the lab.
After everyone had left, Flannery sank into a chair most of her team scurrying over to help their trainer.
You need a break. Nobody should be under the stress you are under at the moment. Combat's crisp and familiar mental voice filled Flannery's head, tones of worry tinging it. You should ask Lucas, Gary, or maybe Brendan to come over to help you. Have you talked to Rowan?
"Oak left me in charge, nobody else. I've tried to get into contact with Skyler, but you know how things are. Rowan's staying quiet, but he's a terrible lier. He knows what Oak is up to, but he can't tell me." Flannery fingered the green scale hanging around her neck, a good luck charm that was so much more. Beon cried softly, rubbing her head against Flannery's legs. Only a few days ago, the Rockets had the sheer cheek to try to capture the rare pokémon. Blaze had taken care of them easily, but it was the point of the whole thing.
"Hello Flannery."
Flannery glanced upwards, Beon bounding upwards towards the two figures.
"Delia, Levi, what brings you here?"
Delia's mouth twitched as Levi was almost bowled over by Beon's tackle. 'Theres a girl on the beach, no pokémon of her own that I could see. Thought you'd want to keep an eye on her. I know you're busy and all, but-"
"Combat and I will head own right away." Flannery said quickly, "We can't risk an inexperienced trainer having an encounter with anything nasty. Take care Delia, you too little man. Mind Beon, she's pretty special."
Delia smiled again. "See you later Flannery."
Flannery nodded, slipping off her coat and slinging her bag over her shoulder. "To the beach Combat."

# Pallet Town, 2010-02-08 18:30:18, as written by DeeJay2993
DeeJay opened his door, and threw his backpack on top of his bed. DeeJay heard his mom calling him but paid her no attention. He slammed his door tight and flopped on his bed.

DeeJay begun to reflect on his day while he looked at his ceiling fan. “Got harass all day. The girl I liked turned me down, and I failed an exam that is worth 40% of my grade”, DeeJay said to himself. DeeJay grabbed his backpack, pulled out his psp and put his headphones into his ears. He laid his head on his pillow and wished to himself, “I wish I could go to a world were no one would bully me, just because I’m different.” With that DeeJay nodded off and went to sleep.

DeeJay felt something wet touching his arm, so he woke up. To his surprise it was the ocean. He found himself on the middle of a beach. DeeJay panicked as he looked around to see where he was at. “Where am I? How did I get on this beach?” DeeJay said with fear in his voice. “Oh man, oh man my mom is going to kill me.” Just then DeeJay had noticed a girl on the beach about a hundred meters away from his location.

“Maybe she can tell me where I’m at?” DeeJay said as he ran toward the girl. As DeeJay got closer he realized that the girl was someone that went to his school. DeeJay finally was able to make out who the person was. It was Lidia Werdna. Lidia was about a year older than him, and he did not talk to her like that. It’s not like Lidia was one of those stuck up popular girls, but she seemed like someone DeeJay just would not hang out with. Maybe it was because he felt that she was out of his league.

As the strange shimmering began to fade, Lidia gasped; it had materialized into the shape of a person!

She could tell it was a boy, but she could not depict his facial features well enough to recognize him at first. But as he ran closer, she understood: it was a boy from her school. DeeJay Lewis, if she remembered correctly. His untidy brown hair bounced with each of his long strides along the beach front. She didn't know him very well; all that was relevant was that he played the guitar and was a grade younger than her. She knew that a few friends of his knew him a bit better, but that didn't explain why he had invaded her dream.

But was it a dream? That was now the question up for debate.

You see, Lidia didn't have shoes. She was wearing the same attire that she'd been dressed in before changing into her pajamas, which was a white tank top and blue jeans. But beneath her bare toes, the sand certainly felt highly realistic. Salt-water bubbled up from between her toes when she took a small step forward.

She supposed that, regardless of whether or not this was a dream, she would live it out. Maybe the answer to that question would come in time.

As DeeJay drew closer, she smiled and waved to him. "Hi, DeeJay!" she exclaimed, being as friendly as always. "What are you doing here?" She knew that he probably had no idea what 'here' was, and that that question might not even have entered his mind.

DeeJay had got in talking distance of Lidia, when he tripped and fell face first into the sand. He heard Lidia say, “Hi, DeeJay!” in a nice and excited tone. He wanted to answer but he had a mouthful of sand. He lifted up his head and Lidia asked “What are you doing here?”, as if he knows where ‘here’ is.

He wiped his arm across his mouth, to remove the remaining sand scattered over his lips. “That’s so nasty, and now I’m going to have the taste of sand in my mouth for a while.” DeeJay stood to his feet and started talking to Lidia, “Hey Lidia.” He paused for a second and looked around then continued, “I really don’t know how I got here, or where here is for that matter. I was hoping you could tell me where here is?”

DeeJay stuck his hands in his hair and moved them around. He was trying to get some of the sand out his hair, but it seems useless. He could feel that sand was getting in his shoes so he took them off. When he took his shoes off, he could feel the rough sand in between his toes. This made it clear to DeeJay that this wasn’t one of his crazy dreams; as if the sand in his hair and the taste in his mouth weren’t proof enough.

Benjamin had just come home from "school", and was going to grab some food before heading out to enjoy his meal at the park. He grabbed an apple, a box of cracker jack, made himself a peanut butter sandwich, put them in a brown sack and headed out. once he got to the park he sat down, opened up his lunch, and started eating.

By the time he was finished it was starting to get dark, but he wasn't worried. This wouldn't be the first time he stayed out late. Benjamin was starting to get a little tired, and decided to rest his eyes for a moment before heading home. He wasn't asleep for more then 5 minutes, when the sun woke him up. "Wait a minute" he thought to himself, "i couldn't have been sleeping for that long". He sat up and looked around. When he saw that he was on a beach, he thought to himself "wow, this is the most amazing beach Ive ever seen!.

He stared out at the beach a little longer, rubbed his eyes, and told himself he must be dreaming. He said to himself, "Well if this is a dream, I'm not sure i want to wake up".
Benjamin figured that if this was a dream, then he would wake up eventually. But that doesn't mean he can't have some fun while he waits. So Benjamin decided to build a sand castle,
he used to love building them when he was a kid, but now people would always tell him that he was too old for such childish things.

But just when he was about to get started. He heard voices not to far away from him, and one of the voices sounded somewhat familiar. Though he couldn't quite remember where he could have heard it.

Lidia looked around in confusion. Normally dreams didn't last this long. Something wasn't right about this place, besides the fact that it was the Pokemon world.

Turning back to DeeJay, she said, "Well, if this is real, then we're in the Pokemon world. You know, from those old video games? I just met Ash Ketchum's mom. It was weird." She sighed and then yelped. A bit further down the beach was another person! "Who is that?" she exclaimed, alarmed. People appearing... it unnerved her. Running toward the small figure sitting in the sand. "Benjamin? Is that you?"

Benjamin was the younger brother of Lidia's friend, Katy. She had met him a few times, and she knew that the 14-year-old boy was a fan of adventures, but she never gave him a second thought.

No, this was too weird. This was most certainly not a dream, all things considered. "So I suppose the question is now... what are we all doing in the Pokemon world?"

It-it's impossible! I've never seen- or felt anything like that!
Flannery frowned. "Most psychic pokémon can teleport, it's not unusual for them to teleport their trainers as well."
No, no, the aura is wrong. Look, they've got no pokéballs either. Those people are not trainers.
Flannery ignored Combat's comments, adjusting her bag strap and starting forward again. Combat sighed and followed, albeit a little more cautious than her trainer.
Flannery hesitated before stepping onto the sand--these could easily be Rocket Recruits. She'd heard stories about Rockets, and had dealt with Magma, Aqua and Galactics before, she was sure they'd be more or less the same.
"You shouldn't be out without pokémon. Especially not in this day and age. May I ask how you came here, you didn't come through the town, and you cannot surf." Flannery was a little surprised at how much authority her voice carried, or maybe it was just the fact that she was outside with only Combat.
Combat did not add anything, but stood beside her trainer, glaring at the newcomers, and ensuring that if any of them were looking for trouble, they'd found it.

Haley ran up the stairs to her room before anyone saw that she was home from school, she slammed the door shut and went to go lie down on her bed.
"This was the worst one of all, the tests are out to get me, i know it" She sighed. "I don't get it, most kids don't do anything and they get better grades then me, yet i try so hard every day to get the grades i have now, which are, hmmmm..." Haley begins humming while grabbing a paper out of her backpack. " Oh look, all D's... at least no F's this time".
She looked at the window "Man, i wish i could go fly away with you Pidgyotto, or even play with poochyenna and Eevee, but i cant".
Haley began humming as she got out her homework, that's when she heard a servant rushing downstairs but she didn't care what her father thought anymore.

Rowen Squires was working when a servant came in. "Is she home?" he asked without looking up, "Yes sir, but she was doing it again. This time it sounded like she was going to "fly" away with a Piddey something." Rowen stopped working instantly and then stormed up the stairs, when he got to Haley's room she was waiting for him.
"I don't care what you say, their my friend's and i won't forget about them" Haley said.
"THEIR NOT REAL," Rowen yelled "THEY NEVER WERE AND THEY NEVER WILL BE, IF I HEAR ONE MORE WORD ABOUT THIS I'LL..." Rowen began to get frustrated and couldn't find his words for a moment " WELL I..I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO, BUT I KNOW YOU WONT LIKE IT". Haley's dad then stormed down the stairs and slammed his door shut.

Haley growled at her father then slammed her own door. " What does he know, nothing, that's what, he doesn't know anything about me" She sat down, and began rubbing her forehead " Ugh... now i have a bad headache" She looked out the window "I think its time for me to fly away pidgyotto".
She emptied her back pack and put in some food she had in her closet, some rope, and her little journal. She also grabbed her fanny pack and hat, then headed down the stairs.

The servant who called her father up was waiting by Haley's door, when Haley came out she reached out and grabbed her arm " Please don't run away Haley, i know your father is mad but he'll cool down in a few minutes" She begged.
"Let me go!" Haley pulled her arm away, she then lost her balance and fell downstairs hitting her head on the way down, giving her many bruises.
When she hit the bottom she was already unconscious.

Haley groaned "With that big of fall, i thought hitting the ground would be the worst part" but she had a somewhat soft landing.
Haley opened her eyes to see the sun shining, she gasped at what she saw next.
She had landed on someone!
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry i didn't-" as she moved off of her, Haley got a huge headache.
She rolled off the girl and onto her back, she groaned as she sat up and looked around, she was on the beach?!
Beside the girl she landed on was a strange creature and a little ways away from them were some more kids, some of them looked like some kids from her school.
Haley laid down and began rubbing her head "What ever is going on here, i don't like it".

Things were happening very quickly. Before either of the two boys could answer her question (to which the answer was undoubtedly 'I have no clue') there was a voice from over the final dune. Lidia whirled in time to see a brown-haired lady walk over it, accompanied by... another Pokemon.

It looked rather intense, with blue skin and black rings, like a fighting type, but Lidia couldn't remember enough about her old video games. Since she'd abandoned her fandom for Pokemon at age 9, she hadn't stayed around long enough to find out about the latest generation of them. It seems familiar, but I don't recall what kind of Pokemon that is. Anyhow, the Pokemon seemed to act as a guard for the tall woman with a strong voice, who wore a professional-looking attire and had a carrying voice.

Lidia started to say, "I have no id-" when yet another shape shimmered and collapsed to the ground. Another girl, roughly Benjamin's age. The effective part of her appearance was that she landed atop the woman who had addressed her and the two boys. "We have no idea how we ended up here, in the Pokemon World," Lidia finished, making sure her voice carried to the girl on the ground, who had entirely blue hair. Like in an anime film. Appropriate.

Benjamin was getting more confused every second, if he really was dreaming, then shouldn't he know at least one of these people?. And most of the time when he dreams, he dreams about places he's been before, but he had never seen this kind of area anywhere.

Benjamin told himself to relax and started trying to gather his thoughts. But before he could do so, someone started talking to them, and she had some sort of...creature with her and it didn't look very friendly. Benjamin was considering running but then out of nowhere, a girl landed on top of the one who was talking to them. Now he was even more confused, who are these people and why are they all here?. as these question's among others raced through his head, he heard someone mention that they were in the Pokemon world.

"Wait everybody hold on a minute, he said as he stepped forward. Whats going on here?, and where exactly is here anyway?, would somebody please explain all this to me?".

Just then, he remembered where he had seen the girl with the blond hair before. "Wait your name's Lidia isn't it?, you hang out with my sister sometimes".

(OOC: Good posts, everyone, but can you make sure to put a blank line in-between every set of paragraphs? It makes everything so much easier to read.)

Skyler restlessly dumped the magazine and began pacing the little hotel room. There was no questioning it; he had to find a way to get back to Flannery and the lab. The information he carried was vital. Without it, Team Rocket might never be eradicated from Kanto and Johto. But there was simply no reasonable way to break free of the outposts on the edge of the city. He couldn't dig, he couldn't fly, and it would be stupid to try and cut through the woods.

Which was why, with an ironic grin on his lean, wily face, Skyler began repacking his equipment. "Return, Eevee", he said as the normal Pokemon vanished in a beam of red light. This called for pure silence. Absolute care.

Jumping out of the low window, backpack strapped to his broad shoulders, Skyler landed on the paved road below. The midafternoon sun was rather bright on his pale skin, but it didn't matter too much. He had to get to Pallet Town. ASAP.

Once Skyler had passed the Rocket Guard House, hiding in the shadow of the trees on the sides of the path, it was a straight path home. In this day and age, trainers didn't just hang out on the paths between cities. That was too dangerous, considering the amount of violence that Team Rocket often resorted to now. An innocent trainer who dared relax in broad daylight could have his Pokemon stolen, his posessions burned, his food eaten, his hands tied. More than once, this treatment had resulted in someone's death.

Skyler didn't intend for the next victim to be himself. His long, lean muscles flexed in intense anger as he ran towards Pallet Town. And Flannery.

After several minutes, he sighed in relief; the little town sat just on the horizon. He raced to the lab, hoping to see Flannery somewhere inside. But the only person there was an aide, who shrugged and pointed Skyler to the beach.

Intent on seeing Flannery, Skyler immediately set off for the beach - where an odd scene met his eyes. Four youngsters, two of them almost his age, seemed to be out of place. He arrived in time to hear Benjamin say to a blond girl, "Wait, everybody hold on a minute. What's going on here? ...And where exactly is here anyway? Would somebody please explain all this to me? Wait, your name's Lidia, isn't it? You hang out with my sister sometimes."

Skyler, climbing over the last sand dune, said aloud in his serious, flat voice, "You're at Pallet Town. Or, at least, the beach just south of it. Who are you guys, anyway?" Remembering the kid's final comment, he turned to blondie. "Lidia, right? Where are you people from?"

Lidia shook her head, as if confused. "We're from a different world, I think. The place we come from is a world in which Pokemon are fictional. We're from a city called 'Boston'." Skyler wrinkled his nose. That sounded like a ridiculous name for a place.

He turned to Flannery, pulling her up from having fallen over at the weight of the blue-haired girl. "So what do you think we should do about this?" he asked, remembering that she was senior to him. "Also, I have delicate information." He added the second comment in a lower tone, but he had a sinking feeling that the blue-haired girl had heard him, at least. Maybe the boys as well.

.....

Back at the guardhouse, two Rocket grunts reviewed a video camera's visage maliciously. "Look, it's some kid. He shirked the travel payment."

"Well, damn him and his scruffy brown hair. Should we bring the tape to the Boss?"

The first grunt grinned rudely. "We'd better. Otherwise, the kid won't get his just desserts!"

Combat's thoughts were, for one of the first times Flannery could remember, a complete mess. Anger, fear and confusion--and the next minute a girl was on top of Flannery, completely winding her. She half-shoved the girl off of her as Skyler arrived and helped her up to her feet. She brushed the sand off her clothes, attempting to regain some dignity.

It's true! They're telling the truth! Th-this is too big. Way too big! We'd need to find Dialga, and Palkia, Giratina maybe... We need outside help!! You know if Cyrus would help us? Combat's thought's became understandable again, but they were rushed and panicked. She addressed both Flannery and Skyler, taking a small step backwards. I'll get the others.
"You won't do such a thing," Flannery growled, "You're freaking them out enough without bringing down the rest of the team down on them."
Something the girl-- Lydia, Flannery thought her name was, claimed they were from a place called Boston. Why did that name sound vaguely familiar?

"Good to see you Skyler.' Flannery sighed, keeping her voice quiet, "I didn't think you'd get through."
So what do you think we should do about this? Also, I have delicate information.
Flannery opened her mouth to enquire more, but closed it quickly, noting the blue-haired girl on the floor. She looked and Skyler and nodded once. They'd talk back at the lab.
"If they aren't going to cause trouble, I think it's best we get them back to the lab, for their own safety, don't you think? Whatever chance trainers stand against Rockets, pokémon-less people won't stand a chance in hell."

Haley stood up and brushed the sand off of her, her headache was almost gone so now she could think clearly.
She looked at the new comer, the women she had landed on had called him Skyler, they began talking in quite voices, since she was so close to them she heard every word. One thing they said stuck in her mind... 'Delicate information', what ever that meant. She thought of asking them what it meant, but then changed her mind, she didn't want them getting mad at her.

Haley smiled to them "Ummm... hello, I'm Haley Squires" she said to the two, "I'm really sorry i landed on you, but i have no idea how i came here."
Haley sighed,"That's a great thing to say to a person you just crushed...". She faced the other three people "I don't know about you guy's, but i would like to go their lab place" pointing to the two standing by her. "I'm hoping they have some sort of explanation to what's going on here."

Something blue caught her eye, she turned and faced the creature who had shoved her off of the women, whom she assumed was it's trainer.
"Lucario" That's what it was, it was one of the Pokemon in her journal, she had a picture of every Pokemon she liked in it.
She looked into Lucario's eyes, and for some reason she felt like she was in a trance, all the pain she had before was gone, she felt warm and safe, even though the Pokemon looked angry and ready to attack anything that came near it.
Haley forgot everything that was going on around her and slowly reached out her hand to touch Lucario.

# Pallet Town, 2010-02-13 21:43:49, as written by Chris Crisis
Chris had discovered early on that Pallet Town, his home, was not a place where a lot happened. Sure, the infamous Ash Ketchum had been from Pallet Town, as had Gary Oak, but they were about the only thing interesting that had happened in a long time. Now, however, it seemed like things were about to change in a very big way. Chris was sprawled out on a nearby dune, not even caring about the sand that was, at this moment, falling grain by grain into his clothing. His Infernape was beside him, almost never one to stay in its poke ball too much, and sat cross legged with its hands on its knees and its gaze set straight in front of it.

The day was going rather sluggishly even though it was a gorgeous one. The sky had a few sparse clouds that trudged across the sky in the slight breeze. Then, the already bright sunlight seemed intensified by a blinding white light. Chris immediately shut his eyes against the brilliant rays, grunting in annoyance. Beside him, Infernape mimicked both his action and sound out of reflex. The light continued for a few moments and then, as quickly as it had appeared, it vanished. Chris sat up, blinking a few times as his eyes adjusted to the change once more. When he was able to see he shifted his gaze to the shore and quirked a brow at what he saw. People that had definitely not been there before had, quite literally, fallen onto the beach.

Also arriving were a few familiar faces. Skyler, for one, who had just arrived, and a friend of Skyler's whom he believed was Flannery. With a sigh Chris pushed himself up from his sitting position and brushed the excess sand off of his clothing, glancing down at Infernape who was already up, knuckles on the ground for balance. "Shall we go see what the commotion is?" he asked the Pokemon who gave a low hooting sound and nodded. With that as his only affirmation Chris set off down the face of the dune, bare feet sinking into the sand as he went.

When he reached the bottom and crossed the beach over to the shore he stopped just shy of the group and slid his hands into his pockets. His gaze shifted towards Skyler as he spoke, "You look like you've had a nice little run...and what's up with this lot? They don't look like trainers and that light didn't look like it came from a teleport..." The last part wasn't really directed at anyone. Instead it was more Chris saying things aloud as if he was confirming with himself that he wasn't just going crazy and imagining things.

Watching as Flannery silently conversed with her Pokemon, Skyler responded, "I didn't think I would, either. You're right, the best thing to do now would be to get everyone to the lab. Hopefully they don't keep appearing like baby Pidgeys; we have enough problems on our hands..." He smiled warily at the blue-haired girl, who said her name was Haley. "Hello, Haley, welcome to the Pokemon world, I suppose. We'll sort this all out back when we're in a safer place."

Lidia, who stepped forward, looked at Haley. "All right, then. I'd say that's the best thing to do." She started walking north, asking Skyler, "It's this way, right?" He nodded and began to follow, glancing at Haley as she reached out to touch Flannery's Lucario. He almost warned her to stop, but he figured that she would have to learn the rules here herself.

Skyler had almost topped the tallest dune when he saw another familiar face. Chris Mais, his friend. He appeared to have been relaxing in the sand. His large Infernape crouched by his side. "Hey, Chris," Skyler said. "Yes, a lovely run. Away from Rockets, at least..." he waved his hand at the four kids who had just beamed themselves to the beach. "They say that they're from a world in which Pokemon are fiction." He chuckled a little at the idea. "Who would've thought of that?"

Amber awoke from her dream abruptally. She sat up looking around the room. She gave a sigh and dragged herself out of bed, a weird fuzz of 'Don't get up!' echoed through a voice in her head. She went to her bathroom and began to brush her teeth, ignoring the voice. She got dressed and went downstairs to see her stepmother there. She gave a silent sigh and grabbed her books leaving as fast as she could. . . Not fast enough.
" AMBER!! You get back here!!!" Her step mother called after her grabbing her shoulder. Amber felt her heart drop, she was going to be beaten again. She turned to her stepmother.
" Yes?" She snapped glaring.
" I found THIS-" she growled, thrusting a journal out in front of Amber. " -In your Bag!!!" she snarled. Amber's heart sank. It was her Diary of how much she wished to get away from her step mother and play games with her dead father. They would play games like pokemon and such. She reached for it but Middy, her stepmother, pulled it back and tucked it under her arm. She went over to the fireplace and struck a match.
" You! Don't you DARE!!!" amber said through clenched teeth.
" Oh? I'm SORRY!!! I Guess I'm NOT In Charge Of Your Well Being!!" she said growing steadily more aggravated. Amber watched in horror as she lit the fireplace and took the book out from under her arm.
" NOOO!!!!" Amber shouted lunging at Middy grabbing hold of the book she sat back up and began to run back upstairs.
" OH!! DON'T YOU DARE!!!" And she grabbed Amber's ankle.
" LET ME GO!!!" she screamed and thrashed hitting her step mother in the face. Blood leaked out of her nose. Some how it soothed Amber and she ran upstairs and slammed her door closed. Propping a chair against the handle she grabbed all the things she had been saving for this moment. She knew she would crack one day and so she began to save supplies. She tore out all her school books and began to shove clothes and food and her water canteen, she took her emergency fishing pool as well. Then she took her camera and journal along with some matches. Then there was a loud crack as an ax came through the door. Amber panicked and leapt for the window, but not fast enough. Middy had broken through the door and was now clinging to her wrist.
" Oh NO YOU DONT!" her face was covered in blood and her nightgown was filthy from the ashes. Then the fire alarm went off. Smoke was filling the room and Middy smiled madly, some of her teeth were missing. " We'll both die." she said calmly but Amber didn't believe it and she struggled away again.
" Not me." She said and leapt out the window. Six stories down she fell into the grass. It felt nice and cool but then there was darkness.

When she awoke again she was on a beach. Fiery sand was around her and underneath her. She Sat up and looked around. There was a group of people there but she hardly recognized them.
" Their from my school." she told herself, getting up slowly. She began to walk over to them when her pain from her other body caught up to her and she collapsed. She heard a voice and looked up. The sun was covering the faces that looked down at her.
" Is that Amber from school?"
" Yeah! So she's here too . . ."
" Hey! Amber! Can you hear me?"
" I think she's alive but somethings wrong . . ."
She looked up again and whispered." Pokemon? " Before collapsing.

Don't you dare! Combat snapped mentally at the azure-haired girl who'd dared to try and touch her. She unleashed a short-lived, but otherwise powerful mental attack on the unfortunate girl who called herself Haley Squires. Try that again, and I won't go as easy. I am not a pet.
Flannery frowned, half-thinking about scolding her Lucario, but dismissed it, the girl had to learn a few things if she was going to survive in the real world.
"More trainers is the last thing I need. You'd think the Rockets would put the newbies off, wouldn't you?" Flannery said, half-distractedly.
Combat acknowledged Chris and his Infernape with a only a slight change in her stance, now ignoring the girl who'd so boldly tried to touch her. Flannery simply glanced at them, raising her head a little in recognition. She'd only met Chris on occasion.
"If any of you want to stay safe, follow me and Combat to the lab. We'll see what we can do there."

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Sorry I'm late posting, school's being a pain in the rear... as usual. I'll try to post as soon as I can, but it's going to be the weekend at the earliest.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

I know, that would be a terribly sad ending, wouldn't it? I've been planning on posting, but I was trying to wait long enough for responses about the number thing for two of our members. I even PM'd them. I think that if I don't have a post or some sign of life from them by the end of the week, I'll kick both of them and just pretend that DeeJay never appeared on the beach. (Vivian Namine hasn't even made her appearance yet, so it won't be that tricky).

With that out there, I'll need to be rethinking the structure of the 'important roles' that I had all planned out. I'm not prepared to discuss that yet, though... :b

So, yeah, go ahead and move it along. Let's not linger too much longer on this whole 'do they get Pokemon' point, since we haven't even reached the fun part yet.

Another point... just try to keep it literate. You know who you are if you are being literate already... I hope. If not, I'll be more blatantly obvious: the kids from reality need to start expanding on their writing styles. Just make a few more observations about your surroundings. It's hard to work with a one-liner, and I'm not seeing much more than that from a few of you. Just remember... the better you write, the more information and characterization you include in your posts, the more fun I can make this for you.

With that, I'm off to think of something to post.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

So... Just wondering, but is anyone else going to be posting anytime soon? Do I need to post something to move the story along? Or shall it die in the midst of sandwich making? 'Twould be a sad, sad end indeed.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Blargh. Sorry about that; I've been out for the past few days doing a variety of different things and I haven't really had time to sit down and look at my RP's until now. I'm caught up on what was going on and made my post, but I can't say it's my best work. I'm still trying to quite work out everything that went on while I esd missing. If you need me to fix anything, just give me a heads up and I will do it.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Still cant PM yet... it bugs me, anyways
My order is

1. Charmander
2. Shinx
3. Eevee
4. squirtle
5. bulbasaur

i changed it a bit, if that's ok

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Don't worry, we'll be getting there. I'm still waiting for a few responses regarding starter Pokemon. After that gets sorted out, we'll get into this thing straightaway.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

I'm waiting for you guys to get to the lab. I can't really do much there by myself; or, I could, but it wouldn't be very interesting as there is not other character interaction. I don't know about everyone else, but that's why I haven't made a secondary post quite yet.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

What happened, why isn't anybody posting?

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Blah. Sorry if anything seems a bit odd in my post; I double checked it and did a brief glance a third time. It looked like everything was in order. Still, I'm rather tired at the moment so if anything doesn't make sense just let me know. I'll also have more to work with once we all start interacting, so it won't seem so bland of a post.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

That's fine. The only thing I can see being an issue is if your character is too focused on the "Eclipse Gym"; that might make it so there's not a lot of interaction between him and the other players. If, say, he's heavily involved in the fight against Team Universe, that would work. Just so he's not off in a secluded area of the Pokemon World the whole time.

Go ahead and submit your character, and I'll tell you what I think.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Ok, that answers most of my questions. As for my Gym Leader concept, I was going to make him very similar to what they have on the Orange Islands. I've used him in a RP previously (not on this site) and came up with a suitable backstory, so you can tell me if you think it fits or if I should change it.

"... He is the leader of the Eclipse Gym; a gym, certified by the Pokemon League, for only the most aspiring of trainers. His gym would not be easily found, or stumbled upon, as it randomly changes locations every year and most of the trainer battles are direct invitations at the request of Synn himself. However, the Eclipse badge does not just symbolize a trainers quest for victory. It is primarily useless if a trainers ultimate goal is to challenge the Elite Four, counting towards none of them in any region. It is, however, a direct pass into the prestigious Battle Frontier. Any trainer that defeats Synn in battle is granted immediate clearance equal to that of most of the Gym Leader's themselves..."

So, that's the basic concept behind his Gym. He is not so much an Elite Four stepping stone, as a stand alone leader that becomes a stepping stone for the harsh battles at the Frontier. He is akin to the Frontier Brains, if that puts any clarification on the issue. Is this suitable, or would you rather I change it?

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Thanks for your interest.

About the Pokemon: Be reasonable. That's the only restriction. Also, since you want to be a Gym Leader, can you give me a decent backstory as to how the last Gym Leader lost their spot? (Unless, of course, you're playing a canon...)

Here's the answers to the rest of your questions, without giving too much away:

Unified Team Name: They call themselves Team Universe. However, none of the characters would know this (yet). No one knows that they are under unified leadership. So right now they're just known as Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua, and Team Galatic.

The Struggling World: It really depends on the place.

-In Kanto, Team Rocket pretty much has the place tied; they control all communication and travel. Very few resist the regime, since it doesn't seem all that malicious to most people.
-In Johto, Team Rocket is having a much more difficult time subduing the locals. They've taken control of a few towns (details when we get there) but the group that is resisting Team Rocket is excellent with guerilla tactics.
-Hoenn: Teams Aqua and Magma, now that they're on the same side, mostly keep to themselves. People are suspicious, but there's very little actual violence and such.
-Sinnoh: Galactic's presence there is currently relatively unknown. They pass themselves off as a funky-dressing humanitarian group.

Gym Leaders: Some of 'em are fighting the bad guys. Others are working more on training. But the key there is that some of them are actually involved with Team Universe. I guess the main thing I meant by that suppletive was that the main point of this is not to go around and become the greatest trainer. I

Battling: At first, it will mostly be accustoming the new folk to the world. But as time goes on, there will be a lot of fighting, running, and all that fun stuff. It's going to get worse as time goes on. More stuff is going to fall apart, and it's going to be more difficult to tell who's on the good side. Or even which side is the good side.

Good questions. If there's still confusion, you can ask.

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Ok; so, I'm interested in joining and I have a few questions. Firstly, I want to come in as a Gym Leader. You said you needed in game trainers, in my thread, but I figured I'd ask before hand if you wanted anymore trainers/Gym Leaders. If that's cool, do you have any restrictions on what Pokemon I use or what moves they have? Secondly, I was wondering about the world in which we are playing. I get the basics of it, but I had a few more in-depth questions.

- What is the name of the unified team that is attacking the world?
- Is most of the world struggling to keep order, or is the new Team utilizing guerrilla tactics and doing coordinated strikes against undefended villages?
- You said the Elite Four and others, such as the Battle Frontier I assume, have come to a veritable stand still. Does this mean they are fighting the new menace, or are they the ones trying to keep everything from falling apart?
- Will there be frequent battles against this new team, or will we mainly be getting the new people used to the world and training them to take the others on?

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

*Bump* we still have room for one more person from reality. And there's always room for a trainer or two. If you're interested...

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

Seriously. We already have begun the IC, but there's only four characters as of now, two of which are played by myself. So here's another bump, considering that in the twelve hours since the last one, this moved back to... page 4. *shudders*

Re: [OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

*Bump* Yeah, there's a lot of new roleplays onsite, now that the new RP system is up. But seriously, take a look. This promises to be a good, long-term Pokemon roleplay that's not all about battling. In fact, you don't even need to know anything about Pokemon!

The point of the roleplay is the characters, not the Pokemon.

[OOC] Pokemon Disbelief and Reality

This is the auto-generated OOC topic for the roleplay "Pokemon Disbelief and Reality"

Application:

To join this roleplay, you will need to submit a character. See the above link for details.
