Penny Everworth's tenth birthday is today. She was so excited that she barely slept the night before. Excited that is....to start her pokemon journey. Her mother had told her that she would have surprise for her today as well. For awhile Penny had been thinking hard about the pokemon she wanted to start with. She usually was fond of grass type pokemon. Her mother has the one she kept with her ever since her mother went on her journey when she was Penny's age. Her mother had started out with a Snivy which had evolved all the way to a Serperior.

"I can't wait. Mom said to meet her at the lab." Penny said to Serperior who was hanging around with her while she finished packing her backpack. "There. I have everything. You wanna come with me Serperior to go and see Mom?" She asked Serperior. Serperior gave a nod and they headed out for the lab to where she was to get her first pokemon.

When she arrived at the lab, it was very quiet. "Hello? Anyone here?" She asked loudly. Then Penny heard her mother respond. "We are in the garden dear!" Penny and Serperior headed to the back of the lab and saw her mom and some of the others from town. It was a birthday party for Penny! "Oh wow! Thank you everyone."

As the party started to calm down to just a few people, Penny started to open her gifts. She received a new backpack which she transferred her clothes to, a new sleeping bag to pack as well as a tent, pokemon food, potions, pokeballs, and some supplies for cooking and eating with as well as food for herself. Her last gift was in a green box that was from her mother. When she opened it, it was a pokeball. "Whats this?" Penny asked. "Open up the pokeball dear." Her mother said. When Penny did, out came Gobleaf. "Oh wow! My own Gobleaf!" The little Gobleaf saw its new trainer and was so happy it jumped right into Penny's arms. "Go, Gobleaf!" It was excited as Penny was.

Then her mother came up to her with an important question for her daughter. "So have you decided on what path you will go down? Gyms or Contests?" This made Penny think for a moment. Then she looked up at her mother. "I am going with Contests! I want to show the beauty of any pokemon I get. As well as making them strong for the battle rounds as well." Penny said with confidence. Her mother smiled at Penny.

"Then you best be going. There is one other present at the front of the lab for you." Penny smiled at her mother and went around to the front. There it stood. A brand new bike for her! And a red one at that! "Oh thank you! Thank you all!" She placed her pack in the basket and when she reached for Gobleaf's pokeball and tried to return Gobleaf, it refused and hopped into the basket too. "Guess you don't like being in there huh? Alright then. Not a problem." She started to set off, giving a wave goodbye to her mom and others from the town as she started on her journey.

Fredrick got off the transport pod and inputted some commands into it. It released his luggage, his motorcycle, and flew off afterwards.

"Sigh. Well, this better be more enjoyable than the last mission." he said, putting his luggage in the sidecar he attached to his motorcycle. He got on it, activated it, and headed for the nearest settlement, hoping for no signs of Team Plasma awaiting for him there. He saw a girl on the way and stopped. He removed his helmet and asked "Hi. Do you know where the nearest settlement is?"

Penny looked and saw a man with a motorcycle coming up to her. "Hiya. Well lets see....the nearest town....well I am headed toward Kokoro Town based on my PokeNav. There is suppose to be a small local contest that I can try in. Where are you from? And whats your name?"

"The name's Fredrick. I'm from Sinnoh." Fred replied, "Thanks for the info, anyway."

With that, he sped off at high speed, making sure he wouldn't bump into anything along the way.

Penny was surprised by how quickly he left. "Wow....what a strange guy...." She said to herself. Then she pushed off on her bike and started to petal away once again on her way to Kokoro Town.

Fred looked at the town and sighed.

"Can't be too careful. This place could contain a secret lair..." he told himself. "I hope Franky isn't here."

By nightfall, Penny had finally arrived in Kokoro Town. "Finally. Tomorrow I can work with you, Gobleaf." She said to her Pokemon who sat in the basket of her bike. She smiled as she saw her little pokemon asleep in the basket. "Guess I'm not the only one thats tired." She managed to find the Pokemon Center. She parked and locked her bike up. She carefully picked up Gobleaf and went inside. "Evening Nurse Joy." Penny said. The Nurse Joy of the center saw her come in and greeted her as well. Nurse Joy arranged sleeping quarters for Penny. When she got to her room, she laid Gobleaf beside her and fell asleep.

Fred checked in at a Hotel and entered his Suite. He laid his stuff around the floor and got on the bed. Before he could even take off his socks, he got a call. He activated his communicator head-set.

"Hello, LockDown here." he said.

"Hey, Fred, it's me. Zenith." the person he was talking to replied.

"Hey, Z, what's up?" Fred replied.

"Not much, we're getting some signals from a Franky-Bot at your area. We're not sure, but better check it out tomorrow." Zenith said.

"Sure, how hard could it be? Bye." he replied, deactivating his device and falling asleep.

Penny woke up the next morning feeling energized. Gobleaf also woke up and was ready to go. "Alright Gobleaf! Today we start our training for our first contest. We will need to go over your moves and figure out good combos to help make you shine." Gobleaf heartedly agreed as the went to eat breakfast at the center before going out to the courtyard.

Fred got up the next morning and wore his jacket. He went outside of town and, instead, went to the nearest Pokemon Center to have his Pokemon checked up. He didn't check on them for a long time and decided to go back to his old self.

Penny did a large sigh. "No no Gobleaf. You are doing good, but what we want for the effect is for your Razor Leaf to burst upon you doing your Tackle on it. That is why having the right control and the right amount of the Razor Leaf. We want to show the grace and the power of the moves to show you off." Penny said to her Gobleaf. Gobleaf looked at her with a confused look on it's face. "Oh....what am I going to do with you Gobleaf."

Michael saw the young girl training with her Gobleaf, from his eyes it wasn't going that well. He sighed and walked over to the girl. "I'm sorry to intrude on your training but you are obviously getting almost nowhere, your Gobleaf here needs more encouragement, or to see another pokemon do it." He took a pokeball from off his belt and threw it. "Goo Snivy!" A small green snivy popped out. "SniiiVy!" The Snivy looked at the girl and then the Gobleaf, it looked away and up at Michael. "Mk Snivy Use Leaf Storm then use Aerial Ace!"

Snivy lit up a neon green as leaves started appearing out of nowhere, twirling above Snivy at high speeds. It then used Aerial Ace right between the middle of all the leaves, they were all cut into shreds and Snivy landed on its feet as the small fragments of what was left of the leaves slowly fell to the ground. "Sniiiiiiivy!". "Ahahaha, Snivy that was terrific!" Michael pulled out some fruit from his backpack and gave it to the Snivy. "Hungry?" Michael put his hand out to the Gobleaf offering it some fruit. "By the way, my name is Michael and i'm part of Team R-" He was interrupted by The Snivy tackling him in the stomach. "Aaagh...Right totally forgot, thanks buddy."

Unknown to everyone else, there was something different going on at Blazemer City. Criminal Team Leaders from all over the world gathered at an abandoned building once used for Auctions. Their host was known to them as "Frank", who was actually an escaped convict charged with illegal possession of Pokemon Fossils. The only one missing was this person named "Micheal", who was representing Team Rocket for the deal.

Penny watched in amazement. "Oh wow! That was amazing." She said. Then she looked at Michael. "My name is Penny. I'm just starting out with my Gobleaf. I really do what to be a coordinator....but for some reason, we can't seem to get a handle on Gobleaf's Razor Leaf attack." Gobleaf went over to Sniivy and reached out its hand in a friendly gesture.

"Ahaha thanks it was really nothing though!" The Snivy stuck its hand out "SniiVy!" and shook hands with Gobleaf. "Wow thats amazing Snivy usually looks down on other pokemon!" The Pokegear on Michael's arm was ringing. Michael sighed. "Not them again... I really don't want to use this...he took off the pokeball his necklace and whispered something to it. He threw the pokeball as far as he could. A few minutes later the pokeball came rolling back over to him. He picked it back up and put it on his necklace. "I recommend getting an ice type and freeze the leaves with Ice Beam then have Gobleaf use Sword Dance to cut them in pieces, I plan on becoming a Pokemon Champion and a Pokemon Coordinator, a lil bit of everything."

Meanwhile in Blazemer City~ Michael walked into the building with a Team Rocket hoodie on. When he walked in a harmless dark purple mist engulfed the building. "So...Let the auction begin?"

((Yes, Michael in two places at once and it has to do with that Pokeball.))

Penny nodded at his suggestion. "But most contests are not doubles though. And there is a Contest here in this town in two days. And if I remember right....this area isn't big on ice types."

"Hm...Perhaps I can let you borrow one of my pokemon, I'm going to be participating in the contest aswell. Oh! I have an idea, I can let you borrow my Dragonair! It knows Ice Beam and I'm sure it wouldn't mind helping you out!" Michael Shuffled through his pokeballs and found his Dragonair one. "Dragonair Go!" Dragonair came out an coiled itself around Michael like a snake. "Ah I will miss you when you evolve..."

Penny smiled at the Dragonair. "Then don't evolve it. I'm sure that you can get an Everstone." She said reaching out her hand to see what Dragonair would do.

Cinder sighed as he remained seated at the main auction table. It was quite common to have the archaeology center hold auctions to those who were rich enough to buy the discovered fossils from the mine. He scoped the bidding party carefully: rich, properly dressed, perfect. He looked at himself and noticed quite a different get-go. This really didn't bother him though. As a fire-type gym leader, he was always a bit impulsive and didn't care about fitting in. However, Cinder's eye then caught glimpse of a rather suspicious character walking in the door. He couldn't just get up and confront him, so Cinder waited until the break appeared, keeping his eye on the shady character.

The Dragonair licked Penny and rubbed its head against her chest. "I think she likes you, shes one of my more friendly pokemon, my other being Halove. However Halove...yeah she just does whatever she wants, I keep her out her pokeball and just let her roam the Pento Region! I wonder where she goes...Ah ha! I can put a camera around her to see where she goes! Anyway back on topic, here is her pokeball train her for the next two days and if she evolves...well I honestly don't care its up to her whether she evolves or not." Michael handed Penny the pokeball. "See you in two days?"

Penny looked at the pokeball she was handed. "You will really let me use her?" She smiled. "Thank you so much Michael. I will work hard with her, right Dragonair?"

"Finally, all of you are here." Franky said, closing all the windows, "As you all know here, I am in possession of these ultra-rare Pokemon Fossils, all in excellent condition. Now, who is interested in these?!"

Franky cued a few people to pull up the curtains and revealed a gallery of whole fossils of every Region. The entire audience was wowed by them. Two people, however, had other things in their mind.

"Okay, I thought it was only us and other leaders who are going to this auction." said one man.

"Yeah, I guess word got out and they had to make this thing official." said the other man.

"If only we could just go there and get them ourselves. Stupid auction."

"Well, these are so better than the ones we used before. Remember what those fossils that swindler sold us did to our de-fossiliser?"

"Yeah, I also remember what happened to that guy."

Franky (I forgot) appeared in a trench coat, gloves, boots, and a fedora, masking his robotic body from the humans.

"This auction has gone a little bit out of hand, since the public joined." he thought, "I wanted this to be Black Market style."

"Yeah sure since I presume you are just a beginner in pokemon I might as well help you out with some contests. Oh by the way if you need anything I'll be at the Pokemon Center helping out!" Michael walked away and out of sight as he headed back to the pokemon center.

Meanwhile at the auction~

"Its Showtime..." Michael mumbled under his breath. He pushed his way past some people until he was nearly at the front of the stage. His hands had this purple Aura to them. He poison jabbed one of the bidders to cause a distraction. The man fell to the ground gasping. Michael made his move and jumped onto the stage and attempted to poison jab Franky, it obviously failed as a painful vibration went up his whole spine, but that wasn't going to stop him he quickly got up and grabbed two fossils. He shadow balled the Stage sending the other fossils flying into the crowd, causing even more chaos. He used the explosion from the shadow ball to propel himself over the crowd. However he didn't notice his hood was off, he saw someone with red hair staring right at him. He quickly put on his hood and fled out the building.

Once outside the building he stopped to take a breather. "...Boss....I got them, I want an evac now!"

"Not so fast,thief!" Franky said, revealing his true form and freezing the human at his tracks, literally. He took the fossils and unleashed his own pokemon to get what was remaining. "To all who are interested, namely those "Team-whatevers", go to the Ship-yard, tomorrow."

With that, he returned his pokemon, stored the fossils in his chest, and flew away.

Meanwhile, Franky's signal was detected and LockDown finally got the actio n he wanted. Fred activated his motorcycle, and headed for Blazemer City.

"Talk to this guy named cinder Adams. He could help." Those were his instructions.

Penny was so excited! She was actually going to be working with a Dragonair! One of the rare dragon type pokemon! She never thought she would have the chance let alone it be this soon! "Alright. Gobleaf you were doing great. Lets both see how Dragonair is now. Oh perhaps I should use my pokedex to see what moves this Dragonair can even use." She said.

She dug through her bag and found her pokedex and did a scan on Michael's Dragonair. "Ok....Ice Beam, Dragon Rage, Aurora Beam, and Protect. Hmm....Dragonair, I have an idea for the Ice Beam, Aurora Beam and Dragon Rage. First, make a large block of ice up in the air. Next will be an Aurora Beam, but don't make it too strong that it will shatter the ice, just enough to let the ice display the colors of the Aurora Beam. Once it has those colors that its showing off, then we are going to use Dragon Rage to shatter the ice. But the movement for Dragon Rage, I would like it if you did a spin with it, you can show off your speed, power and grace." She explained. "I-I hope that is not too complicated Dragonair."
