The Pento region is a brand new region found a few miles south of the Sinnoh region. Featuring 8 new gym leaders, 2 new pokemon types, 150 new pokemon, and countless threats and trainers to eliminate and make friends with, Pokemon Jade & Opal Version is certainly the region you'd want to go to perfect your pokemon skills and catch them all.
Each trainer is able to start off with any pokemon, but if you wish to start from the very roots, you may pick one of these 3 starters to begin

The friendly ice trainer, she's the toughest of the Elite Four and a stand-in for the Ice Gym leader whenever she needs a break. Krystal loves everything cold.

Nana walked through Blazemer city holding the town map out in front of her "Now where is that house again" it had been 7 years since she had last been home and she wondered if any of her dead beat siblings had moved out and gotten real jobs "Damn another dead end why can I figure this city out" she said sliding down so her legs were bent into a w shape.

Cinder walks over and notices Nana sitting on a bench by the Pokemon Center, with a puzzling look. Slowly, he walks over. "Excuse me, I was wondering if I could possibly help you out." with a smile on his face. "I'm the gym leader of this city. Maybe I could possibly show you around."

Nana looked up at the red haired boy infront of her "I'm trying to find my own house I haven't been back here in 7 years and I have no idea where anything is anymore " she siad handing him the map and pointing to the spot with a red circle on it "I should know this place better but you see my boat from the kanto region just got back this morning and alot has changed in the last 7 years" she explained

"Oh, thats simple. Your house is right there....hey, wait a minute, your my next door neighbor" Cinder says excitedly. "My name is Cinder by the way, Blazemer City gym leader, and fire pokemon extraordinaire". Cinder takes a small bow as he introduces himself.

Standing up she held out her hand "Nana Kurama Trainer, coordinator and breeder and number one ranked trainer in Kanto, johto, hoenn and isho regions" she said grinning "So I get to meet my neighbor as soon as I get back thats great so tell me do you know my older siblings?" she asked cinder as she folded the map back up and put it back in her bag.

"Yeah, but sadly they moved" Cinder explained what happened with the eruption and how Nana's siblings moved to the Sinnoh region. "They said that this place was unlucky ever since the volcano erupted and destroyed Vulkan Island....sorry to let you know on such short notice though, but your welcome to stay here if you'd like." Cinder says, smiling very big and lending out a hand to help Nana up.

"Well at least I know my siblings won't bother me now" she said cheerfully "Growing up with 6 older siblings is rough ya know I don't understand how Brock managed to survive with all his siblings back in Kanto's pewter city, I would have died" she said as she grabbed his hand and stood up brushing the dirt off of her clothes "So what Pokemon do you use in this cities fire gym?" she asked looking down at her belt loops and smiling.

Nelson was stumbling through Blazemer City to visit relatives, he had a few grandchildren who were supposed to start their journeys today. Ahh, he would look foward to facing them in battle when they were strong enough. He'd see Cinder and the other girl he was talking, perhaps flirting, with. He knew all the Gym Leaders and their personalities. They were all tough contenders in their own right. Sadly, almost no one knew he was the Champion until he told them his name. He'd laugh this thought off as he slowly made his way to the Pokemon Center. His Furret was on his shoulder, looking around warily. He always visited the Pokemon Center's to heal his Pokemon, even if they didn't need it.
As he approached, he'd pass by Cinder and the other cheerful girl named Nana. He'd merely tip his hat to them as he went on to enter the Pokemon Center. His Furret would wave to them, like it waved to everybody. Such a friendly Pokemon. He'd only be in a short while before coming back out, getting ready to head off to see his grandchildren, and see what they got as their starters. As he got ready, counted his inventory, and other things, he watched with that old man smile, Cinder and Nana. Cheerful youngsters were cheerful.
Inside the Pokemon Center chatting with a boy she deemed cute, Tethys was hanging out. Her Magikarp was out of it's Poke Ball this time, but she was holding it. She always loved fish, and she was confident she had one of the best trained Magikarp out there. She hadn't beaten any gyms yet, cause she was new to the area, and was chatting with this boy to learn more about the region.

"Well, I mainly use original pokemon with a mix of new breeds in this region. For example, I have a magmar and magmuk. oh, and this is my partner Houndoom" says Cinder smiling. "Hound" barks Houndoom happily and rubs his head against Nana's hand. "I think he likes you" says Cinder laughing and smiling. "So, would you like me to show you around?" he said, realizing he's still holding Nana's hand.

"Thank you, we hope to see you again!" Nurse Joy said as she gave Emiko back her pokemon. Emiko smiled and thanked her as she began to walk out. She went out the door and saw a cute red head flirting with a pink haired girl. She took a deep breath and approached them. "Hi, um, I don't mean to bother you, but could you possibly show me where my house is? It's my first time here. My parents moved here while I was living with my brother." She asked shyly as she showed them where her house was indicated on the town map she was carrying.

"Oh, sure" Cinder said, a bit surprised. "Ah, your house is right over there. By the way, what time is it?" he says, looking at his watch. "Oh no!!" Cinder screams, and runs off to the gym....."I cant believe I'm late to my own gym challenge!". Cinder runs off to the gym for a gym challenge, leaving behind his 2 newly-met friends and his signature gloves.

Emiko giggled and walked over to pick up Cinder's gloves. She went to drop her suitcases off at her house, and headed toward the gym. Along the way, she couldn't help but think that the boy would be someone she wouldn't forget. For different reasons...

As Emiko entered the gym, she quickly jumped out of the way as a Nidoking crashed into the wall. "Nidoking is unable to fight. Magmar is the winner, and thats the end of it. Cinder is your winner!" says the announcer. "Better luck next time bucko. Magmar, return" Cinder says with a cocky tone as he returns Magmar. The young trainer storms out of the gym to go train some more. Cinder then notices Emiko at the doorway. "Oh, hey. Uh, sorry about the Nidoking flying at you" Cinder apologizes with a slight chuckle. "So, what brings you to my humble gym??"

Emiko laughed and walked towards Cinder. "It's okay, nothing out of the ordinary for me. It happened all the time when I lived with my brother, he's the gym leader of Sunnyshore City in the Sinnoh region. And I found these on the ground. You dropped them when you went running off." She said grinning. She looked into his eyes as she handed him the gloves and blushed, then tried to hide it by looking away. Her Umbreon, walking with her out of it's pokeball, growled at Cinder. "Be nice. He's a friend." She said giggling while petting the pokemon to calm it down.

"Oh, thanks. I was wondering where these went. Anyway, I should be heading off now. I always tend to check on Vulkan Island around this time." Cinder explains to Emiko. "Would you like to come with me??" he says with a bit of excitement as he slowly heads toward the door smiling with the sunset making his face illuminate.

"S-sure!" Emiko replies as her heart jumps a bit. She can feel the heat rushing to her cheeks but shakes it off as she starts to walk with Cinder. "So..." She began trying to start a conversation. "What's it like being a gym leader? I've always wanted to follow in my brother's footsteps and become one." She said, slightly coming out of her shell and opening up.

Nana Watched Cinder run off towards the gym "Well I suppose he is a busy guy" she said laughing as she walked away from the black haired girl and pulled out the town map "Okay now to find the pokemon center" she said "Oh after I check out the islands lake I'm sure these guys want to get out and play for a while"

"Oh, hi Nana. I was wondering where you were" Cinder smiles, runs over, and hugs her very tightly. "Well, we should go then." Cinder walks off, holding Nana's hand and heads off to Vulkan Island.....back in the gym, however, Emiko stands alone, sad and broken

Emiko sighs and walks back to her house, her heart feeling crushed. In her head, she thinks: I guess I can't be as good as her to him, but that doesn't mean I won't stop trying. She regains her confidence and spends the rest of the night thinking of how to win Cinder over.

While on his way home, Cinder and Nana run into Emiko walking home. "Hey Emiko....is something wrong?" Cinder asks her with a concerned tone in his voice. "Nah, I'm fine" she said, trying to hide her tears. "Are you sure? You seem to be crying at the moment...." says Cinder.

Emiko glances at them and then their hands locked together. She fights back the coming tears long enough to say, "I'm fine." and walk more towards her house. When she gets a good distance away from the two, she lets the tears flow out and down her face.

As Emiko walks by, a homeless guy walks up to her and says "You can date me" smiling, showing he has no teeth. Emiko does what anyone would do. She punches him in the face and runs away to the coast on Route 23 and continues to cry alone with her trusty Umbreon keeping her company and trying to cheer her up.

The next morning, Cinder wakes up and heads to the lake, but hears screaming. "Ah man, what's going on now?" Cinder says, running to the lake, realizing that the screaming is oddly familiar....

Cinder, James, and Mitsuki are in the Pokemon Center at Blazemer City right now around nighttime. Right now, Cinder is trying to see where they're going for the night and suggesting that they can spend the night at the gym.

I explained to you in the PM, I allow custom pokemon just as long as you can give a detailed explanation of it. Even Cinder has a made-up pokemon he uses, Spidva, a fire/poison type that evolves from Ariados with a Fire Stone
