Nicknames/Alias
Rein, Rei, Allen
Age

Gender

Hometown

Appearance
General Demeanor
Rei is calm and quiet, but not anti-social. While he can be shy at first, once you get him on a topic he's interested in, you start to wonder if he'll ever shut up. He is kind to his friends, and sometimes to his enemies, not that he has any of those yet. He doesn't like to use force to solve problems, but he does enjoy Pokemon battling for fun and sport. While he might not appear it, he is a generally nice kid.
On occasion, however, his old self slips back out. He becomes dark and snappish, and not easily approachable. However, even then, he is still Rein. He still cares about his friends, and knows what's right and what's not. It's just like he has a bout of depression.

Rein's life is pretty normal, or at least that is what he feels like. He grew up in an orphanage just outside of Olivine City. It was a nice place, and the operators of it were kind, if a bit distant. While he was their, Rein was a loner, as the kids picked on him for his gray hair and weird eyes. He began to be even a bit of a bully, fighting back against the kids who tormented him by using physical force and biting words. Even while he acted like this, Rein was tormented by his true feelings. He didn't want to hate and be hated; he wanted to love and be loved. He hated himself back then, but even then he continued to be a brat. That was, until he met Jasmine.
Jasmine was the gym leader in Olivine City, and she was a very outgoing and kind person. She visited the orphanage on the day Rein turned eight, and saw him by himself in a corner of the room. After all the clamor died down, Jasmine went up to him and talked. At first, Rein wanted to have nothing to do with her, living up to his loner persona. But Jasmine came back every week, and slowly but surely the little, lonely boy began to open up to her. As he did that, she began to help him change.
Jasmine was the person who showed him first how to battle. He was in awe with how skillful she was, beating most of the challengers that came to her gym. There were some that she lost to, but they were few enough that it didn't ruin Rein's spotless image of her. As he grew older, he himself began to want to be a trainer, always asking for tips from anyone he knew who battled. By the time he turned 14, Rein was no longer the little loner that had been before. While he sometimes had his bad days in which he would revert to his old self, he was now a caring human being, and like a big brother to all the kids at the orphanage. Jasmine told him that he should go see Prof. Elm and start his own Pokemon journey, so he pack his bags and headed out for New Bark Town with a few pokeballs given to him by Jasmine and the hopes and dreams of the kids of the orphanage. And, on his 15th birthday, he finally arrived.
