Introduction
Each and every region has its myths about the strongest and most powerful pokémon, most of them playing a role in the creation of the world.
From Mew to Dialga, from Ho-Oh to Arceus, Lugia to Suicune, all have inspired trainers to go out and find them. There are nearly thirty in total...
Many generations fail, but a lucky few may catch a glimpse, and one or two, have helped stop forces of evil from getting their hands on the Legends.
Welcome to the Betou Region. Here we are famous for the toughest Gyms, and the most challenging Elite 4. The Champion here is almost undefeated.
We pay homage to legendaries in each of our major towns and cities, and an added tribute to the artificially enhanced 'Mew-Two'.
Are you unfortunate enough to be a new trainer?
A traveling trainer?
A former champion looking for a challenge?
Or do you just want to sight-see?
But you're going to be caught up in the biggest adventure ever in the history of pokemon...

A Dark, Smoky Room. Location: Unknown.
Four men sat around a table, a large T.V screen at the head of it. The lack of light meant that their faces were hard to make out, and that was exactly how they wanted it to be.
"I am not working with that fool!" One man stood up angrily, pointing his finger at the man sitting across from him. "I cannot let myself ever co-operate with a member of Team Magma."
The other man stood up in a similar manner. "Archie is an idiot! He almost drowned the full of Hoenn with his stupid plans to summon Kyogre! At least I wouldn't have killed myself trying to achieve my goal!"
A blue haired man in corner chuckled. "Don't let your emotions get in the way gentlemen. I was so close to the stars, but I did the same, and look what happened to me. All washed up, and lucky to be here. I'm in."
Another man, clothed in shadow spoke up. "You have the Rockets support."
Archie and Maxie slowly sat back down, both staring at the ground.
"You have Magma's support."
"Team Aqua are in."
On the TV screen, an empty office was shown. A metallic voice chuckled. "Our first victim rears its head today, we wait for three days, and then we launch our attack. We've got some very important visitors coming to Betou, and we want to give them the welcome they deserve."
All four men looked towards the screen as the voice began to laugh.
High above Betou, Rayquaza roared.

Cornod Town:
The Elizabeth, the ship that brings hopeful trainers to Betou is a magnificent ship. It is a very luxurious vessel, outmatching the standards of any other ship in current use. Even a standard ticket gets you a plush cabin and fine dining, and you and your pokémon are ensured to be treated with the highest respect and courtesy by the entire crew. Those who can afford the First Class tickets are treated to even more opulent quarters on the upper deck, which contains a pool and plenty of fellow trainers to battle. Your pokémon will be spoilt rotten with grooming and massages, along with various treats, all of which the trainer can also indulge themselves with. Contests are held after dinner for all passengers, along with some tournaments for the person who is more interested in battling.
Evening is drawing in across the tropical island of Betou, and as it does, the Elizabeth is roughly 20-30 minutes away from Cornod Port.
OOC Notes
Travis jumped off his Pidgeot. "Good job, Aerials, you deserve longer rest than I think." he said withdrawing his grandfather's Pidgeot. Gill, Travis' first pokemon looked around with a look of confusion.
Travis hadn't gained his surroundings yet. He was still recuperating. They had been flying north in Hoeen, when a sudden storm had blown them off course, and forced them to land here. Travis finally got a chance to look up. And Travis began to get a little worried.
Gill looked up. "Squirtle squirtle?"
Travis shook his head. "I have no idea where we are, bud. Never been here before..." Travis wasn't new to the concept of lost, but this place seemed different from any other region he'd been in. Travis knew the world was a big place. he was old enough to know that, but every month, he seemed to be finding himself in a different region than where he was last month.
"Well, we cant stay here, and we can't try and go the way we came..." Travis said. He had promised Aerials a good long rest, and Aerials would get it. Travis cared deeply about every one of his team, and he made sure those who tried to separate them from him saw it. Travis had many run ins with organizations like Team Magma, Aqua, and Rocket. Especially Rocket. Travis heard through the grape vine that there was actually a bounty for his capture by the rockets. Travis chuckled at the thought. He could only imagine so many wanted posters in every Rocket base with his face.
Travis looked around and saw a small group of boys heading his direction. Travis turned to them. "Gill stay close to me."
The boys were pretty young to be out by themselves, they looked no older than ten or eleven. As they came closer, Travis stopped them and asked, "Excuse me, boys but you wouldn't happen to know where I am, would you?"
One of the boys spoke up, "Yes sir, you're on Cornod beach."
"Cornod Beach? Forgive me, but I'm not familiar with such a place."
One of the other boys spoke up. "Oh, he must be from the outside regions."
Travis chuckled. "Outside regions, well I grew up in Kanto."
"This region is Betou." one of the boys said.
"Betou?" Travis had never heard of this place. "Huh...never heard or been here. In fact I'm only here because of a nasty storm that hit about 35 minutes ago."
"Well, there's Cornod town a bout fifteen minutes away in that direction." the boy said pointing.
"How come you guys are out here by yourselves?"
"Oh, our parents don't mind. We love coming here."
"Well I guess, they'd trust you well enough to know the geography of your own home. Thank you for the help."
"Goodbye!" the boys called as they ran off in their swim trunks and other swimming toys. Travis watched them run off, and remembered what it was like to be that age. Good times...
"Let's go find this town Gill...Betou region.....wonder how the locals are to strangers..." Travis said looking into the now rather sunny sky, which only so long ago was dark. Then something caught his eye. Travis stopped in his place. Two pokemon were up in the sky. Travis smiled brightly, because he knew them rather well. The two pokemon above were the legendary Latias, and Latios. Travis had befriended the two before, a long time ago. He never battled them, and he only battled alongside them once, but he did remember the two pokemon helping in a very big time of need. And whenever he saw them now, he would always marvel at them, and if they saw him, he'd give them a few apples that grew in his grandparent's backyard.
Travis watched the two pokemon disappear from his sight. "It's nice to see them happy..." Travis said smiling, Gill smiling too.
They then headed for this Cornod Town. Travis took off his vest, because the sun was beating down...

"There, Sam, you gotta land there!" she said, but the bold Swellow kept flying, higher and higher.
"I said LAND there, on that beach! Why won't you even listen to me!"
"Pachii!" A small, pink and white pachirisu climbed from Michellas neck on her head. Michella sighed.
"Alright then.." She looked down. It was way too high to jump down. She took a spicy poffing from her bag and held it in front of Sam's face.
"If you want it, go and get it." She tossed the poffin on the townsquare and quickly wrapped her arms around Sam's neck as the plunged down.
Elegantly, Sam landed on the townsquare and ate the poffin. Michella quickly jumped off before she could fly off again. She sighed and patted Sam on her head.
"You'll never listen to me, will you?"
"Swellooow!" was the answer.
Michella knew that was a no and retrieved Sam to her pokeball, which was marked with a little grey curl; symbolising the air.
Now looking around, she saw more trainers arriving from the harbour. She could see the top of The Elizabeth above the houses. If she had left home five minutes earlier, she wouldn't have missed it. Then she would've just been able to sit and relax. She sighed.
"Ah well.. You can't have everything."
OOC Notes
The Blaziken cried mournfully as the group of young trainers, one by one, sent out their little starter pokémon to tackle, scratch and peck him. He used to have dignity once. A weak blast of water caught him off guard, and he jumped backwards, glancing around to see a tiny Mudkip waddle proudly back to its trainer.
Flannery glanced upwards, spotting the twin dragons, d and Latios, flying and dancing high in the sky. It was an uplifting sight, to see them so relaxed and happy. No doubt the locals would be gathering to see them.
"All right, I think that's enough for today. I'll see you guys after the weekend, and watch yourselves until then. No chasing Zigzagoon outside the town unless you've got a proper trainer with you. Right?"
The local children smiled and nodded and began running back home, many of their faithful partners struggling to keep up.
"Blaze, you okay?"
The Blaziken growled back, folding it's arms, sitting down and turning away from its trainer.
"Think about it, and what you mean to those kids! You and I both know that Combat would strike back, Beon would absorb some of the attacks, and Knight's delivering messages for me." Flannery pulled out a Pokéblock Case from her bag and began playing with it. The treats inside rattled as she moved it, and to the Professors satisfaction, Blaze began to look at it as well from the corner of his eye. "But I could wait for Knight to get back to give him the treats..."
Flannery sank down to Blaze's level, holding out the treat towards him. A few moments passed before he actually took the treat, standing up in one fluid motion, hoisting the Professor up to her feet.
"We'll head down to the beach, I take it Beon is still hanging around there."
Blaze nodded, setting off towards the beach, Flannery not too far behind him.
OOC Notes
His thinking was put aside as he stopped for a moment. He simply watched Gill in the water. Gill's natural liking to water and his Water Torrent ability made a matching pair. Travis smiled. He remembered the good old days training Gill, when they first met. There was a small rec center in Pallet, and Travis spent a lot of his time there with Gill. Now, Travis was 35, nearly 20 years later. Travis was a low profile keeper of Kanto and loved to wander the regions.
"Let's keep going Gill." Travis looked up, and saw a Blaziken running his way. Were wild Blaziken native to Betou? He doubted it. Travis made no moves in a defense or attack position. Usually a pokemon would leave you alone if you didn't do anything to bother it. And it was most likely the Blaziken was owned. Perhaps the boys he had encountered earlier were under it's supervision? Whichever the case, Travis simply stayed put.
OOC Notes
Blaze had broken into a sprint, spotting two unusual arrivals on the beach. A man and a woman, both at opposite ends of the shore. As with his friend and team-mate, he noticed something familiar about the man. Beon was nowhere in sight, and putting two and two together, Blaze adopted a defensive position, fighting every instinct to attack until his trainer arrived.
Flannery trailed a few moments behind her partner, slightly winded. It had been a while since she'd had to sprint anywhere--if she was in a hurry, she usually biked it or used Fly.
"Please...Don't take off like that Blaze...unless you give me some sort of warning." Flannery huffed, rubbing a stitch in her side. She glanced at the Blaziken, noticing only then his tense body and desire to attack. She frowned, but didn't inquire as to what was aggravating him. He was aggressive, and somewhat over-protective, even once taking out a Wingull who'd taken Flannery by surprise while Surfing.
"Beon? Come on, we don't have all day!"
A pink head popped up in the middle of the sea, making Blaze relax a fraction, but Flannery tense up as she spotted the tell-tale swell in the water, along with trainers on the beach. No doubt it the Vaporeon's idea of a joke. Flannery half-slid down the sandy slope to the beach, where she barked out her orders to the playful Shiny pokémon in the water, followed up by a loud cry from Blaze. "Back down Beon! Come here now!"
The head disappeared below again, and Flannery could only sigh and hope that it meant that orders were being followed.
She turned to a nearby trainer, who Flannery guessed wasn't a local.
"I hope my Vaporeon hasn't done anything to you or your pokémon, she's rather playful you see. She causes havoc if I try to keep her inside the lab, this place is the only place really she can keep herself entertained without drenching me or damaging equipment." Flannery half-laughed, hoping for her own sake that Beon hadn't shown her up. The trainer paused, taking a second look at the man before her. "Wait, you can't be... Travis Mura? It's been too long! What are you doing here?"
OOC Notes
She seemed to have a certain air of.. well, snobbyness to her, but as if this wasn't obvious. She flaunted her wealth with simply the way she walked, acted, and what she wore. She stepped upon the sandy beach, and due to the sand's white color, it seemed to absorbed heat from the sun, making the air around her feet very warm. Frowning at this, she stepped toward the boardwalk, and something seemed to catch her eye.
A group of trainers seemed to be talking amongst each other, yelling things and commanding, etc. Pokemon swarmed the beach with the trainers, playing and squirming, casting moves. She smirked at this, putting a hand to her small waist. Feh. Their pokemon is no match for mine, she thought. ...But truthfully, deep down, Linda knew she wasn't too great at battling. Sure, she had won battles, and she was slightly good, but there were more loses than victories. She had chosen to usually let herself lose, worrying too much about her pokemon's appearance, and their general welfare. She had turned down the oppurtunity to go to trainer school, saying she could do better. After all, being extremely rich had to have it's oppurtunities when coming to Pokemon.. right? ......Right? She had mostly trained herself, but again, her pokemon weren't trained properly. Like Linda, they had an air of "holier-than-thou" attitude. Linda scanned the trainers, and had an urge to go over to them, but interrupted the thought, staying where she stood.
Looking down at the pokeballs she had in her beach bag, she grabbed one, throwing at the ground. A large beam of light filled the small surrounding area around her, a large and puffy cat pokemon, Purugly, appearing where she threw the Pokeball.
"Puru.. mrrrow. Puru!" It puffed itself, licking at it's paw, making somewhat half-purring, and half-growling. A small pink bow toppled it's head, giving it a somewhat awkward appearance. "Who's a good Purugly! Who's a good Puru-chikins!?"
OOC Notes
The Blaziken stopeed in his tracks, and immediatly took a defensive stance. Okay, wasn't expecting that. Travis thought to himself. "Gill, prepare yourself for any attack."
Travis simply looked at the Blaziken. The pokemon was studying him. Travis cocked his head. The pokemon looked as if it were trying to remember something. Had these two met before? Then a vaporeon appeared. A shiny one no doubt. Travis had no shiny pokemon, but he didn't care. He believed in his heart that each member of his team was worth 5 shiny pokemon. The Vaporeon also seemed to take defensive stances, as it growled.
Travis was now getting a bit annoyed. "Fine...if it's a battle they want, we'll give them one they'll never forget." Travis said reaching for St. Anger's pokeball, but then a trainer entered the picture barking for the Vaporeon to back down. Travis noticed the female trainer after a few seconds. It was Flannery. Travis knew the trainer well, though they didn't always keep contact. "Gill stand down. I think we're fine now." Travis said down to his Squirtle, who relaxed a bit.
Flannery looked at Travis, "I hope my Vaporeon hasn't done anything to you or your pokémon, she's rather playful you see. She causes havoc if I try to keep her inside the lab, this place is the only place really she can keep herself entertained without drenching me or damaging equipment."
"Not at all, though she did have me taking a cautios approach." Travis simply said.
"Wait, you can't be... Travis Mura? It's been too long! What are you doing here?"
Travis smiled. "Hello Flannery. It has been a while. And why I'm here, well we can call it an accident. I really actually don't have much of an idea of where I am exactly."

"Here we are puppy, let's get going!" Mitch said excitedly, as he climbed on the back of his large Arcanine.
Arcanine nodded in respect of his trainer and ran off the boat, with Mitch riding on top of him. As they stepped on to the land, they suddenly came to a halt. "Where on earth is Chim!?" Mitch asked, with a worried tone to his voice. He and Arcanine both looked in every direction but there was no sign of the little Chimchar. Before they started to panic, a familiar sound was heard from beneath them - "Chimmy-Chim!" - Chimchar had been asleep while nestled into the thick fur on Arcanine's belly. Mitch exerted a sigh of relief. "Oh you cheeky monkey, you!" He joked, tickling the small pokemon.
What a lovely day. Mitch thought to himself. "Let's head down to the beach, relax a little!" He instructed. Chimchar climbed up to the back of Arcanine's neck and sat up straight, clinging on to the large, furry ears. Mitch climbed off from Arcanine and walked down the slope that lead to the sandy beach. "Right, let's set down here." He lay down his jacket, using it to lie on.
"Now you two go and have some fun, but don't let Chim out of your sight puppy! I'm trusting you."
Chimchar playfully raced off down the stretch of beach as he could see other pokemon in the distance, and Arcanine followed, jogging slowly in order to keep pace with Chimchar.
"Be good you two!" Mitch shouted, as they disappeared into the distance.
With the excitement, Mitch almost forgot about his other pokemon, but one pokeball rolled off from his belt, and Ivysaur was released. "Woah boy! Where did you come from!?" He exclaimed. "I suppose you want to have some fun too, go ahead! In fact, all of you", he said, releasing all of his pokemon, "go enjoy yourselves!"
- "Buzz, buzz, electabuzz" - Electabuzz didn't look pleased being surrounded by water, but he was just glad to be out of the pokeball and sat down next to Mitch.
Eevee playfully bumped into Ivysaur and ran off, with the grass pokemon in hot pursuit of her.
Speaking of a hot pursuit, Rapidash appeared, suddenly galloping past Arcanine and Chimchar, leaving the occasional footprint as she seemed to glide along the beach in a blur of flame.
Staraptor observed the goings-on from a large rock a few meters away from Mitch.
Lapras crawled off of the beach and launched herself into an oncoming wave, singing a delightful song as she gained her composure and swam gracefully up and down the shore.
"Hang on, we're missing someone" Mitch said, confused, "Where's Tauros?"
Just then, he heard the familiar sound of rushing hooves. Uh oh, he thought to himself. He jumped up and sprinted towards the majestic Lapras, as he was being chased by an ever-angry Tauros. "Stop!" Mitch ordered. "Do as I say! Why don't you do as you're told!?" He dived into the water and pulled himself onto Lapras' back. Tauros couldn't stop himself, and crashed through the waves, until eventually hitting a buoy that floated very close to the shore. He looked pleased with himself and paddled back to the beach.
"Man, I don't get why he's always so angry." He mumbled to himself, while softly caressing the curved ears of the Lapras.
OOC Notes
Trainers were everywhere, playing with their pokemon. She chuckled as she saw a boy getting chased by a Tauros. She knew how he felt.
This'd be a good place to release her pokemon. She took her pokeballs and released all of her pokemon, except Sam, she didn't want to cause another scene.
Belle immidiately apeared in the water and Finn jumped after her. Cindy looked around scared, but Sue went over to her and together, they started building a sand castle. Michella took a ball from her bag and threw it at Luke, who ran after it, then returned it. The young luxio loved fetch.
OOC Notes
Purugly looked at Jynx, and mrowed softly. "Puru?" Jynx nodded her head, and it wiggled it's hips in happiness. Purugly nodded back, and it ran off towards the beach. Jynx followed, wiggling it's hips as it ran, it's red silk dress moving swiftly as it moved. "Jynx!"
Linda looked behind her, but didn't see anything. Too many trainers were in her eye sight. She shrugged it off, turning back to the customer. An old man with a mustache smiled at her. "Hello missy, what would you like?" "Peh, what's good? Like, as in not cheap?" The man looked at her oddly. Obviously not from here, the man thought. "The most expensive would be.. The cherry mocha smoothie with extra whipped cream--" "I'll take it!", Linda snapped, handing him some coins. She sipped at it, walking off the boardwalk, back onto the beach. The man just shook his head at her as she walked off. Linda seemed worried. One of her pokeballs was missing, and Purugly was nowhere to be seen. "Psh! One of them must've got out on it's own! Ugh, they never like, listen!" With her nose in the air, Linda scouted out most of the beach. Many trainers looked at her posh exterior, and blinked. Who the heck is that? they all wondered.
All unbeknownst to Linda, Purugly was dancing and chasing Jynx around, while Jynx giggled, shaking it's arms above it's head. "Jyyyynx!"
OOC Notes
During his short time walking on the beached he looked over and sees a Jynx running around shaking it's arm in the air over it's head and no train that seems to be with it. Dante thought to him self "Who ever owned this pokemon must a realy bad or realy good trainer letting it run around like that.
He walked up to the Jynx and ask "Where's your trainer?"
OOC Notes
A few shrieks could be heard in the background, "Jynx! Purugly?! Like, where are you? Don't run away from me!" Several trainers gasped and fell over as a blonde rushed through the crowds, literally pushing people down. It was of course, Linda Vanderbilt, looking for her pokemon. She was glancing around frantically, hoping to catch the sight of the Jynx and Purugly. Now, Linda wasn't one to run. Ever. But her pokemon could be hurt! Kidnapped.. or worse! They could have lost their accessories! "Ugh! Now how will they compete in the beauty pageants!?"
Finally, Linda spots the pampered Jynx and Purugly. She rushed over to the two, hugging them both (more like squeezing), shaking them over and over. "Don't run away from me!" She seemed to totally ignore Dante's presence.
OOC Notes
"Listen, how about you head back to the lab with me? I can sort you out with a map and some other gear, and there's a room if you need to stay the night." Flannery felt her lips curl back into a small smile.
A lucario was meditating on the beach, and, known to all the trainers around her, was secretly spying on all of them. Combat was almost as powerful as Blaze, but she lacked the years of hard work and training. Gently cracking open an eyelid, Combat laughed internally as she watched a dolled up Jynx and Purugly get into trouble with their trainer. You didn't need to be a mind-reader to know that their trainer was a spoilt rich-kid, who spent more time dressing their team up in frills and bows than they did training them, or earning badges. Beon was the only one that Flannery dared dress up. Despite Knight's gentle, sweet nature, and Blaze's close bond with Flannery, neither would be seen dead in any sort of costume. Combat threatened to knock her trainer out the once Flannery had suggested that Combat wear even a single bow. Beon, on the other hand, simply loved it.
Combat stood up, glancing around at the now-busy beach, filled with both new trainers and the locals who wanted to catch the last of the sun's rays. Beter get back to base. She made a point of gracefully strolling past the girl and speaking directly to her mentally.
Remember, there's no such thing as a disobedient pokémon. Just an inexperienced trainer who can't handle them. Combat's accent-less voice began to laugh then, suddenly picking up her pace just a little to get back to the lab.
OOC Notes
"Why do I have the heavy thing?"
"Because you're the most idiotic looking."
"You cheated. You knew Cyrus would pick 0."
"Your fault for not picking it first."
"Landlubber"
Maxie laughed. "You've just proven your mental age, my friend."
Archie scowled under his baseball cap. "I'm not your friend."
The pair headed into the pokémart, and held up a picture of a younger-looking Flannery. Her hair was longer, and tied back with a bandana. She was wearing her trademark red dress. In the photo, she was laughing, her eyes closed, and her arms wrapped around a Combusken.
"You know this girl?"
The clerk blinked. The girl looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn't place her. "Sorry. Can I help you with something else?"
Maxie held up a picture of Travis next. The girl shook her head straight away. "Never seen him, sir."
The pair left the store and headed onwards, seeking out their targets.
Cornod and the surrounding area suddenly doesn't feel as warm. It has become as if the sun has stopped shining altogether.
OOC Notes
Walking now through the large crowds, she still noticed trainers looking at her. She knew. She wasn't the type at a single glance you'd think would be a trainer. But she was! She'd just have to prove it! She began asking around as to where the lab was. Some of the answers she received were sarcastic, others didn't respond, but finally got an answer from a young trainer. He pointed to a vague direction. She sighed, pushing him slightly out of the way, trotting quite unconfident in that general direction, hoping it'd lead her to the lab.
OOC Notes
Travis chuckled and looked at the ground. "The weather wasn't too pretty, yeah."
"Are you okay? Is your team okay?"
"Oh yeah, everyone's fine, just a bit tired, and a little worn."
Flannery spoke up. "Listen, how about you head back to the lab with me? I can sort you out with a map and some other gear, and there's a room if you need to stay the night."
Travis looked up but didn't need to because he could hear the smile forming on Flannery's face. He chuckled. "That's the nicest offer I've had since I've been here. Perhaps I do need a little adventure in the system again. Lead the way. Let's go GIll."
Gill smiled and acknowledged with a "Squirtle squirtle!"
Travis stretched his arms as he followed Flannery, "So, what is this place exactly? I've never heard of a Betou region..."
OOC Notes
"Come on Lapras, we better get going." Mitch said, directing them back to shore.
He leapt off of the Lapras and landed softly on to the darkening sand.
"Okay, that's enough fun for today guys!" He shouted, trying to round up his pokemon. "Let's get going!"
Once they were all returned to their pokeballs, with the exception of Arcanine and Chimchar of course, Mitch started to contemplate his next move.
Right, I'm pretty sure they said to go to a lab of some-sort. He thought to himself, with no real idea who 'they' were, or where this lab was.
He looked around, still taking in his surroundings, when he spotted a lady wearing what seemed to be lab uniform. Ahh, I'll simply follow her.Arcanine once more had Chimchar riding on his back, as he kept pace with his master.
OOC Notes
"Well, seems like it's a good time to leave now. I still gotta find that lab."
Michella returned her pokemon to their pokeballs, except for Sue, who climbed up her shoulder, her tail wrapped around Michella's neck.
Michella walked back to the town and looked out for a town map, which she found on the sqaure on which she landed that morning. Once she found out where the lab was, she walked in that direction.
OOC Notes
"So, what is this place exactly? I've never heard of a Betou region..."
Flannery turned around to answer Travis, but Combat had gotten in first. We're not too far from Hoenn, actually. The island is fairly remote, and the League only established themselves here in the past three or four years. They rounded up all the toughest trainers they could find, and stuck them in the gyms, ex-champions in for the Elite four, I'm not too sure about who the Champion is.
"Not many people even get to battle him. They either fail at the gyms or the Elites. I've never met him, which was kind of unusual, but things are quite unusual around here." Flannery added, her smile fading as she felt the warmth go suddenly from the air. She moved one hand to her pocket, where she kept her pokégear, her fingers fingering on it for a moment. She shook her head. "Must be a Gengar or something about, keep watch Combat."
Combat, padding almost soundlessly behind the two trainers nodded.
The small town came into view, and it didn't take long for Flannery to head towards the lab. Knight was outside the door, firmly holding his messenger bag. He was somewhat unsettled, but Flannery didn't say anything to him, blaming it on the sudden change in the weather.

Travis shook away the thought.
"The thought of ex-champions hosting as gym leaders sounds very tempting for a lot of trainers I assume." he said, looking at the docked boat. The champion sounded even more mysterious. Travis chuckled at the statement that not many got to battle him. "Sounds like me at home." Travis muttered to himself.
It was then, he felt the air suddenly change. He asked rhetorically, "Is this Betou known for its sudden change in weather?"
Flannery looked at her pokegear, "Must be a Gengar or something about, keep watch Combat."
Now that she mentioned, it, the hairs on the back of Travis' neck did tingle. Travis felt like they were being watched, and he didn't like being watched. Gill also seemed somewhat unsettling.
Travis stopped for a moment and put the Squirtle on his shoulder. "Settle down buddy. We'll be inside soon enough."
Travis followed Flannery through the doors of the lab, nodding with a smile to the Dragonite she had outside the doors of the lab...

Linda saw that a few select trainers and their pokemon had already arrived. Their pokemon compared to mine are just so.. eww! They're no match for me. She let out a small laugh, and stopped it from getting any louder, so they wouldn't hear. Walking towards the door, she said not a word to any of the trainers. She now had a blue, silky towel draped around herself so she wouldn't show up in a bikini. She peered at the door, then her gaze lifted upwards ever so slowly towards the roof part of the building. Sighing softly, her insecurities began to poke at her. Maybe I should.. bring my pokemon out. Like, it wouldn't hurt., she wondered. Making a decision, she threw two pokemon at the ground.
With one whick of her hand, she threw both at the little area in front of her. Two pokemon appeared on the spot in a flash of light
"Blissey, blissey!" The happiness pokemon. It waddled around in circles for a few moments, it's two small wings on it's back fluttering for a few seconds. It made small humming noises every now and then, giving off a very pleasant aura.
"Jigglypuff! ... PUFF." The balloon pokemon. It bounced up and down, it's big eyes full of hope and determination. It looked at Blissey, and Blissey looked back. They both began shaking their hips together, as in some sort of dance. Blissey apparantely sported a bow on top of it's head while Jigglypuff was wearing a sunhat. Both seemed to not mind much, but were just glad they were out of their pokeballs.

The lab was extremely high-tech, having being built only a few months after the League itself. Various machines and equipment lined the walls, as well as bookcases and desks with piles of folders, and bits of pokédex's and pokégear. As well as the main entrance, there were three doors, various aides scurrying in and out of two of them.
Flannery slipped off her white coat, hanging it up on a coat stand beside the doorway. She chuckled as Travis mentioned the Gyms. "It's what drew me to the island at first. Then the League offered me a spot here, so I couldn't refuse, could I? A chance for my own lab and research..."
Flannery moved to the center of the room as she spoke, drifting away into a world of her own for a moment. Combat skulked into a side room, and Knight, who had shrugged off the boy, came in behind Travis, still looking a bit edgy.
"Pr-Professor? We have an un-"
Flannery snapped out of her daydream. "Let me see my guest in first, won't you?" She snarled, then felt guilty for losing her temper.
"Third door, that's were I live. There's some food in the kitchen, bathroom's second on the left inside the door, and if you need some sleep, the spare room's upstairs." Flannery said quickly, spotting some new trainers coming in. "Go on ahead."
"Professor! You've got to see this! It's really important--" The aide stepped straight into Flannery's path, nervously pushing up her glasses.
"I'll check it in a few, okay? Let me deal with the new guys first, 'kay?" She hissed, slipping around the short woman.
At the lab door, Flannery smiled at the newcomers, the smile shrinking a little to see a trainer wearing seemingly only a towel and swim-wear. Blaze voiced his disapproval form behind his trainer, triggering a glare from the professor.
"Hey guys, how can I help you?"

It's late here, and I need to submit a completely new character before I do anything with Flannery.
[OOC] Pokemon; Keeper of the Legends.
Rules:
-No one-liners please!
-Everyone starts out in Cornod, regardless of pokémon or experience.
-Full, proper English please, no chat speak/1337.
-Please play as trainers.
-Battles can be organized in the chat or OOC.
-No legendary pokémon. Legendary pokémon, as part of the plot, will appear.
- Refrain from lv. 100 pokémon.
-Everybody cannot be an ex-champion/ex-gymleader/ect.
-Only use moves YOU ARE SURE your pokémon can learn, i.e. Vaporeon cannot learn Flame Thrower
-Pokémon from all regions are welcomed. No new breeds.
-Wild Pokémon are mainly Hoenn Natives, due to how close the two regions are. Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh are less common to 'rare'.
I was so close to my goal, but I foolishly let my emotions take charge, and look what happened to me.
Role-play is open for submissions! I will add the towns [and possibly the routes] when we either reach them, or as I see fit.
