Tekno is rather tall, around 5'11''. Wears a standard yellow-and-black T-shirt with the international hazard symbol emblazoned on both the front and back, with a matching set of midnight black biker pants underneath. Black leather sneakers complete the overall ensemble, although the young man does sport a red wristband on his right arm, his PokeGear attached to his left. Also wears a set of dark tinted goggles on top of his messy unkempt chocolate brown hair. His eyes are a sparkling hazel, and his face and body is spotted with freckles here and there. Tekno's overall body is a bit gangly, though he's not scrawny nor pudgy by any stretch of the imagination.
Tekno is normally rather easy going, and is an amicable individual, and generally very friendly and sweet to others. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is always willing to have fun. In fact, his almost carefree attitude towards life which is at an odd contrast to his work ethic--whenever he's drawn into his own project he tends to withdraw into his own little world and generally be unresponsive, preferring to not be bothered unless it is an actual emergency. Tekno is, however, provoked rather easily...and tends to be rather easily startled. He also tends to have a very low tolerance of people who tend to mistreat others, whether they be human or Pokemon.
Tekno doesn't often much like to battle, but when he does he tends to be exceptionally snarky and sardonic to the point of condescending during battles, regardless of who is he against. He will also, despite his previous amciability, also focus on winning above almost everything else--going so far as pulling out all the stops. He does not hesitate to give it his all, and rarely--if ever--pulls any punches. He's a self-described "pragmatic fighter"...which includes, at times, a few...questionable tactics some might say would be dishonorable at best, and downright underhanded at worst. Tekno tries to mentally treat Pokemon Battles as a chess game of sorts--always trying to be at least a move or two ahead of his opponent to try and predict their style, though he will strive to try and observe them beforehand (if not during) to analyze their battle style to focus on attacking their weakness and turning their own strengths against them. He'll often times try to force his opponents to utilize their own strength against them, on top of taking any tactical advantage whatsoever.
Regardless of the situation, however, Tekno is very analytical...to the point of overthinking things a lot of the time, despite his otherwise carefree personality. His mind is always considering possibilities, mentally exploring options, weighing every risk and possible pros and cons of each action.
Tekno suffers from a rather debilitating case of kabourophobia.

Tekno originally hails from the Vohkan region, a land far to the southeast, mainly subtropical in weather and climate. Incredibly smart and talented as an inventor, he ultimately wanted to sell his ideas and inventions to corporations such as Silph or Devon and becoming rich off of royalties...if he didn't go into business himself. However, with both of his parents being part of the Pokemon League, Tekno ultimately followed them into joining their ranks.
However, despite the fact that Tekno is skilled as a trainer, his true talent and passion lied in with machines. As such, he became part of the League's science branch, specifically the technical and R&D crews, providing repairs and maintenance to existing equipment alongside going into research and development for new technologies and machines. Due to being on the League's payroll, Tekno has plenty of money to fund his projects, and has dealt in projects ranging from simple programs to advanced robotics.
Ever since a particularly fateful day in which Tekno had a...well, a life changing experience with a wild and unusually aggressive Crawdaunt, Tekno has been rather fearful--almost outright hateful--towards crustacean Pokemon in general.
